The pastries looked delicious too, and I'm looking forward to going back and trying a few of them. Not much else to say about the service. It was fine, exactly what you'd expect from a coffee shop. Cafe Blue is away from all the busy-ness of Duluth traffic and it's one of the few cafes that are open before 10/11am, unlike all the "cutesy" cafes in the area. This cafe holds its own moody, navy interior while serving delicious drinks and foods, both sweet and savory, whether you're there in the morning or in the evening. Their black sesame latte has changed me. It's all that I want and I can't stop thinking about it. I got it hot with oat milk so it's creamy, nutty and it doesn't even feel like I'm drinking coffee - which can be dangerous. I got a second one to go before I left. I also had a croissant which is very reasonably priced at $3. I'm not much of a sweets person so depending on the next time I'm in, I'd be curious to try their croffle - I still haven't had one yet in general. This place is always packed! I can't even remember the first time I visited cafe blue but I remember I purchased an iced americano. The cafe is located in a shopping center with shared parking. I love the name and the aesthetic of this place. The staff is always really kind and patient. You definitely don't always get that kind of treatment at local coffee shops. I have tried their Einspanner and can confirm it's my favorite! The tuna smash (not pictured) was so tasty! I love the sourdough a the flavor profile of the tuna. I ate the entire thing so fast. I definitely recommend. The menu consist of a few items and they have a lot of sweet treat options available. I have my eye on the basque cheesecake! Final Verdict: if you haven't visited, you must try! I feel like the prices are worth it considering the quality that goes into their products. The aesthetics were lovely and the entire establishment to include the unisex restroom was very clean. On the contrary, the coffeehouse charm was absent. There were no bubbly baristas. Albeit the gal behind the counter was very nice. I ordered a pistachio oat milk cold brew and my bestie ordered an iced London oat milk fog latte. I requested mine not to be too sweet and it was on point with just a hint of pistachio flavor. Unfortunately, the London fog was extremely unappealing. This was due to the fact the tea taste itself was beyond overbearing. Additionally, it tasted like lavender soap because I sampled it too. Not that it's a staple to my diet, but I may have had my mouth washed out with soap a time or two as a mouthy child. ;) If I were in this area again, I would likely stop in but refrain from any tea beverages due to the London Fog experience. read more

Its a YES for me! The Matcha is on 10 and tastes like a yummy milkshake! It's always busy on the weekend, during the week its easy going, and a really nice place to work if you are remote. I remember seeing this cafe on social media so I had to try it. We ordered the hazelnut latte and the iced blue latte. Service can be self serve via kiosk or up front at the counter. They make your drinks in plain sight and it's aesthetic. The iced blue latte has 2 shots of espresso, caramel, milk and a splash of butterfly pea flower tea. This is what makes that blue color. Drinks were made so beautifully in appearance and taste. Highly recommend this spot. If I remember correctly, some K-pop stars have been to cafe blue before too. But don't just take my word for it. The pistachio cold brew wasn't as good as we thought it would be, was pretty bummed. My reason for 3 stars really goes down to the service. When I went to the counter to order I was the only one there. The staff behind the counter didn't greet me or offer to take my order. I waited for a moment and just decided to input my own order on the tablet. Maybe 30-45 seconds after, another customer walks in and goes straight to the counter. She was immediately greeted and asked what she would like to order. I was definitely ignored lol. Great studying cafe! Generally quiet with some light background music. Outlets are found at tables alongside the wall. The sockets are somewhat loose though because the plugs don't connect fully. Chairs are comfy with a cushion and follow a brown theme. They have a good variety of coffee and food items! They have a cashier and kiosk ordering. It has a modern but cute vibe to it. My daughter and I have been ordering from Café blue for the last few weekends. There is nothing I look forward to more than their perfectly put together orders. I have never been disappointed. And because we get our orders DoorDashed, the way they pack it is just chef's kiss! We are a pretty low waste family, so I appreciate their creative drink trays. We live pretty close, but I could definitely say that our food and drinks are always hot.
