Cafe Blue is away from all the busy-ness of Duluth traffic and it's one of the few cafes that are open before 10/11am, unlike all the "cutesy" cafes in the area. This cafe holds its own moody, navy interior while serving delicious drinks and foods, both sweet and savory, whether you're there in the morning or in the evening. Their black sesame latte has changed me. It's all that I want and I can't stop thinking about it. I got it hot with oat milk so it's creamy, nutty and it doesn't even feel like I'm drinking coffee - which can be dangerous. I got a second one to go before I left. I also had a croissant which is very reasonably priced at $3. I'm not much of a sweets person so depending on the next time I'm in, I'd be curious to try their croffle - I still haven't had one yet in general. This place is always packed! I can't even remember the first time I visited cafe blue but I remember I purchased an iced americano. The cafe is located in a shopping center with shared parking. I love the name and the aesthetic of this place. The staff is always really kind and patient. You definitely don't always get that kind of treatment at local coffee shops. I have tried their Einspanner and can confirm it's my favorite! The tuna smash (not pictured) was so tasty! I love the sourdough a the flavor profile of the tuna. I ate the entire thing so fast. I definitely recommend. The menu consist of a few items and they have a lot of sweet treat options available. I have my eye on the basque cheesecake! Final Verdict: if you haven't visited, you must try! I feel like the prices are worth it considering the quality that goes into their products. Albeit the gal behind the counter was very nice. I ordered a pistachio oat milk cold brew and my bestie ordered an iced London oat milk fog latte. I requested mine not to be too sweet and it was on point with just a hint of pistachio flavor. Unfortunately, the London fog was extremely unappealing. This was due to the fact the tea taste itself was beyond overbearing. Additionally, it tasted like lavender soap because I sampled it too. Cute cafe with great coffee and service. The one huge downside is they are super busy no matter what time of day you go, so it's hard to find seats. I remember seeing this cafe on social media so I had to try it. We ordered the hazelnut latte and the iced blue latte. Service can be self serve via kiosk or up front at the counter. They make your drinks in plain sight and it's aesthetic. The iced blue latte has 2 shots of espresso, caramel, milk and a splash of butterfly pea flower tea. This is what makes that blue color. Drinks were made so beautifully in appearance and taste. Highly recommend this spot. If I remember correctly, some K-pop stars have been to cafe blue before too. But don't just take my word for it. I was confused about how many cars were in the parking lot 10 AM and the place was actually packed. Must be a good sign. Wanted something for breakfast and a cup of coffee tried to figure out the kiosk to order a cup of coffee, but couldn't find it so I asked person behind the counter. This was the strange thing that a coffee shop does not have coffee. So I ordered a corn latte that was different. It was really really good. For food I ordered a bagel and lox plate. It came out really colorful and decorative. The stuff on top of the bagel was really good but since I'm from New York City, I give the bagel zero stars. Recently went to this place again after a few weeks but I definitely think they changed their matcha it's overly sweet, cannot taste the actual matcha and not the same good quality. I will try to stop by again but it's hard to come here when there's never any seats I don't know if my matcha will taste good or not. My reason for 3 stars really goes down to the service. When I went to the counter to order I was the only one there. The staff behind the counter didn't greet me or offer to take my order. I waited for a moment and just decided to input my own order on the tablet. Maybe 30-45 seconds after, another customer walks in and goes straight to the counter. She was immediately greeted and asked what she would like to order. I was definitely ignored lol.
