The lastest addition to downtown Norcross. The space is small but you can take your coffee and walk around downtown. I love the mission of Refuge Coffee: providing job training and mentorship for refugees and newly arrived immigrants. Overall, enjoyable drinks, nice staff, perfect location.

This was my first visit at any Refuge Coffee location, and I'm so glad I went! I absolutely LOVE the mission of this non profit, and this is the only thing that can make me WANT to spend $6+ on a matcha latte! :) The inside is a small space. Seating includes a long window table with 4 chairs and a high top table (or 2) with 2 chairs. The area is nice for walking around after -- there are 2 small parks within 2 blocks in either direction. The 2 girls behind the counter on 12/3/23 were super kind and patient. And the drink was delicious! I will definitely be back to support Refuge.

Georgia-founded coffee shop with 4 total locations. Their Norcross cafe is cozy, yet lively with jazz music gently playing in the background and large windows, allowing natural light to flood inside throughout the day. They're a nonprofit company with outstanding intentions you'd be happy to support. Things you should know: I. PARKING Refuge Coffee is at the right end of the downtown plaza area. Street parking is available out front of the business. I noticed coming anytime before noon on weekdays leaves plenty of available space options open for convenient parking; however, as the afternoon approaches, finding a space can be rather difficult. II. SERVICE Friendly and timely III. QUALITY Their coffee is dense and acidic ~ not watered-down, ideal for coffee snobs like me. If you prefer less dense coffee, they have milk and milk alternatives available to dilute your beverage. I particularly liked that this location has sugar-free syrup options to mix up your drink with. IV. CAPACITY During my time here, the crowd seemed to be heaviest around noon hours. It tapers off after. Although the outdoor and indoor seating is slim, I continuously saw available seating so you'll be golden to visit and find a seat.

I met the owner, Hung, who is a gem. I had an Americano, and I can say truly, it was one of the best cups of cofee I have ever had!

From the outside, it looks pretty tame and unassuming for a coffee shop, but the moment you step inside, it's like walking into a completely different universe. The interior is absolutely gorgeous. I kid you not, it makes you feel like you're sitting inside a real-life geode! The walls are lined with the cutest shelves and unique little trinkets. Their counters were stacked with all kinds of delicious-looking treats, and I honestly had a hard time deciding what to get. I finally settled on a chai tea and a caramel croffle. What really blew me away was how different this place feels from a standard chain coffee shop. The staff genuinely made me feel welcome and cared for. Within just a few minutes my order was ready. The chai tea tasted so authentic, not like it came out of a mass-produced bottle. And the croffle? Perfect. It had that beautiful subtle essence of a flaky croissant. And the caramel wasn't overly sugary at all so you could actually enjoy the rich flavors. I had the most pleasant afternoon here. If you're ever in the area and looking for a cozy spot to unwind, you absolutely have to check this place out! #ashsaidit #fyp #coffeeshopvibes #aestheticcafe #coffeelover #croffle #hiddengems #supportlocal #johnscreekeats #johnscreekcoffee

Cutest little cafe. Nestled in between a barber shop & dog groomer…read more Cafe itself was clean, stunning & spacious. I always get nervous when out with the littles - in hopes anywhere we visit, they'd have food the toddler could enjoy. He sure did enjoy the pizza. And for $5, even better! I wish they had a little corner nook designated for kids. Toddler wanted to touch everything & we aren't trying to break & buy broken things here. lol. The Thai tea w/ crystal boba. 50% sweetness - perfect. Not sure if it's just me - I love my Thai teas but they stain your teeth and lips, orange. Not flattering.

They have a variety of bubble tea and coffee options. It seems they probably specialize more in coffee than bubble tea, but we ordered 2 bubble teas and 1 coffee. I liked that they offered really unique flavors or mixtures for their bubble teas. Definitely not drinks we would've found at other places. The 2 bubble tea drinks were tasty and we were happy with them, but I didn't find anything particularly special about them and probably wouldn't seek out this cafe for bubble tea. But I would definitely order from here if I were in the area and looking for something to fill my sweet tooth. My husband's coffee, however, was really good especially with lychee jelly added to it! Also, the staff here was really friendly. She helped answer questions about drinks before we ordered and even helped recommend some. The cafe is very large with plenty of space to walk around for my toddler and plenty of seating if you just want to hang out. They also have a bar you can sit at while youre waiting for your drinks. You can also buy some ramen bowls here! And they have some desserts available for purchase too.

I was greeted and allowed to take a moment to look over them menu. I got one of their seasonal items . It was a lemonade espresso or something of that nature. I unfortunately don't remember the name but it tasted exactly how it was described. Also got an earl Gray cookie, which was more like a biscuit, it's a nice eyes and a hot a very pleasant taste. They have a section for water so you don't have to go to them and ask for it. It's just readily available. . Love the set up and how they play their items. It's very homey yet Café vibes. It is a one person bathroom so there may be a wait when it's busy. -random note - if you're using Uber or Lyft in the area, maybe it just was the time that I went, but there were hardly any available. I had to wait over an hour to get a ride so just to keep in mind if you're someone who doesn't have a car or plans to get picked up from the area
