Finally got to try their infamous egg tart and it was sooooo good! It's quite big and heavy and it smells deliciously buttery. The filling is not overly sweet and has a perfect consistency. This is such a cute coffee place in the Suwanee area! I stopped by here after seeing the reviews and was greeted with smiles! I went with a chai latte and really liked how the chai wasn't as sweet as Starbucks chai lattes are, and the fact that I could still taste the spices. They were also super quick with getting my drink out. There is also a good amount of seating available to either catch up on work or be with a group of people. This place had the best coffee and pastries I have tried during my 3 separate visits to Georgia. They roast their own coffee, and the syrups were superb. I got an iced mint latte, which is a seasonal drink. The mint flavor was nothing like I had ever had, in the best way. Apparently the owner creates the mint syrup from mint brown from her own garden. It was light, refreshing, and complemented the coffee so well--I'll be dreaming about this cup when I'm gone. Additionally, the pastries here are solid. I ended up here at the recommendation of my neighbor after finding that the local Starbucks is still stuck in 2020 and not allowing patrons to sit and work/eat/drink. ZCR is small and intimate yet still provides plenty of space for those of us that need a change in scenery from our home offices. I got a coffee with brown sugar and cream. Fresh, hot and so good. I stopped in here for some quick coffee before work. The coffee shop itself is small but has more than enough room for you to plop down and get some serious work done. It was quiet, which I like when picking a coffee spot to work from. I didn't want my usual mocha latte so I looked to their seasonal specials. I decided to go with the White ChocoMatcha Latte. I myself did not like the combination of the matcha and white chocolate. It was extremely bitter and hard to get down. I was unable to finish my cup unfortunately. The coffee cost is fair, an average cup of coffee is about $3 and their specialty coffee goes up to maybe $4.75 Each cup is made with a lot of thought and intention which is a service that is priceless and often overlooked. A bag of their freshly roasted beans are about $7-$9 depending on which ones you want. Their coffee ranges from Peaberries to medium roasted goodness. The specialty coffee can be had when you order a pour over or a chemex! Their expresso has a slightly fruity tart taste and is very unique. Jay (the owner) will recommend the best roast for your palette if you tell him what flavors you enjoy. Most "big name" coffee companies has a bitter/burnt taste at the end but not Zoom coffee! The ending notes are soft and doesn't leave your mouth feeling gross. Although humble, this place will quickly get popular. They also have an array of baked goods and sandwiches. Their chicken salad sandwich is their number one and their waffles are quite popular. I'm gluten-free so I can't try it but I heard good things. Also if you don't like coffee it's okay! They have one large table inside and 3-4 small tables, plus a bench and a patio table outside. I had a lovely conversation with the owner (I think) about different coffee roasts and I could tell how passionate they were about coffee! I have had a difficult time finding a decent coffee shop in the Gwinnett area. It has always been more worth it for me to drive down to Atlanta especially because I tend to spend 6-8 hours at a time, and I am more familiar with the coffee shops inside the Perimeter. Besides the ambiance, which is very study-friendly and relatively quiet, you're looking at owners (married couple) who are welcoming, kind, and passionate about what they do. Consistency is key, and you'll find it here. There are only 5 tables, but they are very large. Most of the customers stay here for an hour or so, and it's relatively peaceful as people come and go to pick up coffee. You'll see lots of hugs and mini chats with the owners. They have a loyal following of working individuals, the occasional student, parents with children, and yoga moms. If you want to know more about the coffee's origin and tones, Jae, is more than happy to share his passion. What I really appreciate are the early hours. Besides the basic Starbucks, you are not going to find a third wave coffee shop that opens before the average 10:30 (unless you head to Peach Coffee Roasters, another local high quality third wave coffee shop). This is VERY frustrating for early morning-ers like me. I've ordered the cortado and the lavender milk latte. The cortado is cheap for the quality you get (2.75!). They make their lavender syrup in-house with the same lavender tea leaves they use for their lemonade and hot steeped tea. Hae also bakes the breads/pastries everything in-house. If you are looking for a quality third way coffee shop in the area, I highly recommend trying this place out. They make the extra effort to get to know you. read more

My boyfriend lives really close to Zoom and used to talk about going a lot so we decided to try it out after reading so many good reviews. The owners are very nice. The cafe is very clean and so is the espresso machine and counter where they prepare the drinks. I believe the cafe also has WiFi. I'm glad there aren't that many menu items and there aren't any frozen blended drinks. We got our drinks to go so we didn't take pictures, but they did a nice little bit of latte art for me before they put the lid on my cup. I got a lavender latte after hearing it was good from another reviewer. It was very good - Not too overpowering with lavender but the flavor was definitely there. I even think the syrup was house made. I would order it again. My boyfriend got a double espresso and enjoyed it very much. I also got the chocolate espresso walnut scone and it was massive and delicious. 2 drinks and a scone came in at a little under 9 bucks before the tip. I hope this place stays open. It wasn't too crowded when we were there. Perhaps because it was storming outside? Zoom really is a hidden gem in Suwanee and possibly the best non-chain coffee outside of the perimeter.
