This is a nice coffee shop near to downtown Suwannee, nice ambience for friends and business, service was fast and friendly, i got some cappuccino with good roasted coffee, must try

Brown sugar matcha with cold foam

I got both a latte and a matcha - would recommend both!! Love the flavors they offer and of course, dairy free options. But the part that stands out about this place is the employees- the employees that work here are like little angels that hug your soul with their kindness. I'm not even a local- and I would come back just to be warmly greeted by this team :)

Cute and convenient coffee shop close to Suwanee town center. I parked in the parking lot right behind the shop. They have a bunch of retail spots. The patio space is great to enjoy coffee and their bakery treats. The coffee shop is pretty busy in the mornings. When I went; there was only 1 person working to take the orders and make the coffee so it may take a few minutes. I got the cortado (10/10) and almond croissant (10/10). Can't wait to try their other food.

One of my faves since moving to GA! The vibes are fun. The baristas always greet me when entering and are super patient if you need a second to look over their seasonal menu. They have tasty drinks and I love that all syrups are made in house :)

It was my first time checking out the new Suwanee location and it was so cute and cozy! Parking is a little tricky since it's street parking but there are some apartment complexes and even Suwannee town center lots that are not that far away from the shop. The Alpharetta location is much bigger and its easier to find a spot to sit inside. However this place does have some outside seating which would be nice on a warm day. The vibes were a 10/10 & they are pet friendly! I got the beehive latte which was like a spicy honey latte and it was so good 8/10 & also tried the brown sugar matcha latte 7/10. The matcha was really smooth but the taste was very faint. The workers were super friendly and a pleasure to talk to. The interior decorations are all the vibes and so cute, very Instagram worthy. Will be back for another study day!

Next to a row of apartments. Street parking but easy to get in and out or sit in or outside. Staff happy to see you! Tasty pastries and drinks

Super cute atmosphere and studying environment! I loved the vibes of this cafe. Unfortunately, I did not like the drink I got... it tasted like just milk, I was super disappointed. Maybe I'll come back and try some new drinks.

Service from staff was amazing. Just so friendly and nice perceptive accommodating can not say enough. The games were fun. Outside seating lots of choices added and sunny. Bathroom's very clean. And of course fabulous coffee prepared with an amazing smile! Thanks for making our day!! Roger S Green

I love Warm Waves Coffee! I am so happy that they opened their second location in Suwanee Town Center. Their corner location is great and the patio they have is even better! I stopped by to try their new Spring menu and it was so good! My favorites were the Strawberry Moon Matcha & the Almond Croissant. Their cinnamon rolls are a must try too! This was my first time trying an Ube Latte and it was so good! So much sweeter than I expected, but not too sweet. I love how most of their drinks can be iced or hot and they have classic menu items and a rotating seasonal menu too. Lauren was my barista when I went and she was the sweetest human. I can't wait to come back to drink some coffee and eat a pastry on the patio! Check this place out for sure!

matcha with brown sugar and a orange cranberry white mocha!

i absolutely love this place! all of the workers are sooo kind, they're always in a good mood, and they know exactly what im looking for! the music they play is amazing, and its a great environment to study or hang out with friends! the coffee is sooo good! i got a cranberry orange white mocha and i cannot wait to order it again! the matcha here is never watered down, and ite never too sweet! im so happy this place joined our community, and i cant wait to keep coming back! :)

Such a cute coffee shop located below an apartment complex. There was some parking spots behind the building which made it super convenient to visit. Not too many indoor seating spots but they have a great patio! The inside decor was super cute. I ordered the matcha latte and my friend got a chai with a shot of espresso. The chai was great and the espresso shot was very rich! The matcha I got however wasn't the best, the matcha flavor was faint and tasted mostly of milk and vanilla syrup. I recommend trying something else. Overall the baristas were friendly and even remade my matcha! I think it just may be the matcha powder they use. I liked the aesthetic of this place and would probably come back to get something else. I noticed they have a couple unique drinks of their spring menu and I would love to try those instead next time. Would recommend coming on a sunny day to try out their patio.

My other love language.

VOLCANICA 7/5/24…read more EAST AFRICAN COFFEE STATUS & OUTLOOK Based on the USDA's latest outlook, Africa accounts for 11-12% of the world's total coffee production, including 10.5% of the Robusta crop and 12.5% of the 23/24 Arabica crop. There are 54 countries in Africa, but only about a dozen produce coffee. While Ethiopia accounts for most of it, the high-quality specialty grade Arabica coffee production is limited to 6-7 East African countries, including some very small countries with problematic histories. Located in the equatorial coffee belt, East African coffee benefits from ideal coffee growing conditions, including volcanic soil, high altitude, climate, access to fresh water and tradition. Conscientious processing, disciplined coops and dedicated smallholder farms also play a role. Coffee is a subjective topic and while good coffee can be found throughout the equatorial belt, the acid rich East African coffees are recognized as the world's most distinctive. The traditional varieties and grade from Ethiopia (Yirgacheffe) and Kenya (south-central highlands) are particularly noteworthy and often compared. While some would include 100% authentic Kona (miniscule production, hard to get & subject to fraud), the best Tanzanian and the crazy expensive Geisha (Panama & elsewhere) among the best, the coffee from Kenya and Ethiopia is widely viewed as the world's most consistent, distinctive and recognizable. Regardless of source, it is important to note that countries producing the most distinguished specialty coffee also produce average or worse coffee. In a way, East African coffees are like finalists in a beauty contents, it's hard to pick the winner. The contest is also dynamic, i.e., this year's crop winner could be next year's loser. While the demand for specialty coffee continues to grow, small coffee farmers have been burdened by an exploitive value chain. Living on a few dollars a day, Africa's small coffee farmers have had little incentive to produce the low yielding crop. If impoverished farmers do not get a bigger piece of the value chain's pie, higher prices and a shortage of high-quality coffee seem likely. FINDING REPUTABLE RETAIL ROASTERS When purchasing country of origin coffee, the quality will vary by crop year, terroir, region, sub-region, botanical variety, grade, processing, storage, logistics, roast and freshness. Excluding effective auctions, higher prices may not guarantee a better tasting coffee. Storage and freshness are key because coffee does not age well. Indeed, assuming the flavor has not been compromised by logistics and storage, fresh green coffee has a 6-12-month shelf life while fresh roasted whole bean has a 30-day window. As the importer of these potentially fine coffees, IT IS THE RETAIL ROASTER WHO DETERMINES THE QUALITY AND FRESHNESS OF OUR COFFEE. Finding a reputable retail roaster with good customer service, a good menu of single origin coffee and consistency is a Herculean task. Given the limited shelf life, always looming new crop and roaster inconsistency, the ongoing journey never ends. Organic, free trade, direct trade, sustainable, certified, relationships and consistent buying all make sense, but coffee that shoots the lights out on the cupping table is really what the specialty coffee game is about. While there are exceptions, roaster websites are not generally well developed or organized and many do not disclose all the information required to make an informed purchase, including the origin, roast, ounces per bag, processing, etc. Some lack contact information while others fail to follow up on inquiries. Many also use a poor choice of colors and fonts that make the websites difficult to read. Fortunately, many roasters specializing in East African coffee provide more detail and organized information, including the granular source, varietal, processing, roast and roast date. Blends are being hyped by roasters and while they might be relevant to coffee drinkers, they are not very relevant to coffee lovers that already know what they want. Affordability is another issue because there are high-quality single origin coffees that are affordable and offer real value. Indeed, many blends are priced higher than good single origin coffee. VOLCANICA EAST AFRICAN COFFEE: As Good As It Gets Volcanica is currently offering nine East African single origin coffees, including the Kenya AA (Nyeri Hill Estate), the Ethiopia Yirgacheffe and the Tanzania Peaberry (Nitin Estate, Ngorongoro Crater). All are washed and roasted light or medium light. In addition to being among the highest quality East African coffee on the market today, they offer real value. Indeed, Volcanica's 16 oz pricing is less than what many of their competitors are charging for 12 oz. Volcanica's website is also developed, organized and provides granular details appreciated by coffee lovers. JBC has also done a good job with their website development and disclosure. I have chased

My favorite order is the iced strawberry ceremonial matcha and fruit tart. I have also tried their iced Dutch latte, their strawberry cloud and a variety of their baked goods. I've been a regular at this café for a while, but my recent experience was extremely disappointing…read more I placed my order with the Asian woman at the counter -- who I later learned could be the owner -- paid for it, and waited. After 45 minutes with no update, I finally asked about my drink -- only to find out they had completely forgotten my order. Waiting 45 minutes for a simple drink is already unreasonable, but being blamed for bringing it up was even worse. They didn't offer a free drink or even bring the drink to my table after realizing the mistake. Instead of apologizing, the staff member (or the owner) who took my order walked away and ignored me. Another employee stepped in, apologized, and made the drink, leaving it nearby for me to pick up. About 30 minutes later, the original staff member(who could be the owner) approached me and, speaking quietly in Korean, told me it wasn't her responsibility to remember my order because I hadn't ordered any pastries. She also claimed their system prevented staff in the back from seeing orders--an excuse I later learned wasn't true. This means that all other staff don't know the order and still manage to fill the orders in the back when we place them. The way she spoke, switching to Korean and keeping her voice low, seemed intended to appear polite to others while implying that I should accept her illogical talking, while wasting my time there. I don't see the point that the owner is making that when she didn't apologize for her mistake, and instead deflected blame onto me while treating me like I was in poverty, since I didn't order pastries. Not everyone likes the old, stale pastries they have. But other workers are so understanding and great people, though. Overall, the interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional, and I left feeling gaslit and disrespected despite being a loyal customer.
