I love the coffee here and inside of cafe is great too. However I had such a terrible experience with their drive thru and I regret not going into the store. I was so excited to see they had a drive thru, so I went to it today. There were two lanes, but it was confusing whether both lanes were usable. Once I got near the front, one of the employees directed me to the outer lane then took my order. However, one by one the cars in the inner lane (closer to the cafe door) received their food and left when I was still standing there 20+ min later. I finally get my drink only for it to be the wrong one. So I had to wait even longer to get the correct drink then wait even more to get my breakfast sandwich. I don't know what happened but they need to improve their drive thru system. I really liked this place but now I'm doubting if I want to go back after today. read more

This has become my new favorite spot for coffee when visiting Georgia. The coffee is amazing and love the little foam they add at the top. I specifically vouch for the cold brews, both the Stout Truffle and Panama Black are winners in my book. I got my wife the Matcha Latte and she seemed to like it as well. This has been on my list for a while and stopped by early Friday morning. I was greeted with smiles and surprised to see that there was already a morning crowd. There's also a drive thru which is a nice addition if you're in a rush. I saw that they had monthly special drinks and the one for February was a strawberry and cream latte among some others. It caught my eye because I've never had a strawberry flavored latte. I got it iced and loved that it was topped off with freeze dried strawberries. I will say I think it had too much ice and next time would order less. Overall I really enjoyed the drink since it wasn't too sweet and loved that I could pick up on the strawberry. It did take about 10min to get my drink but that's because they were swamped with in person and drive thru orders. Not a coffee connoisseur, so best I can do is the coffee is good, hot, and would go back for another cup. There are a decent number of 1-2 people tables and a handful of 4 people tables. There is also a little seating area with a few plush looking seats and coffee table. There is also some bar seating against the window, but surprisingly those seats were pretty popular. Was hoping to snag a seat at the bar table looking out the window, but majority of the seats were taken when I arrived. They've also got the basics locked down: your standard espresso drinks like lattes and cappuccinos, solid drip coffee, and cold brew. Their mission as a company is to empower the farmers that grow the coffee beans. They purchase directly, prior to roasting, to give a direct fund to the laborers. The shop is located next to Little Caesar's and El Porton on Old Peachtree Road (off of Buford Highway). There is plenty of parking in their lot. You could probably also just park over in the adjacent Publix parking lot and walk over. I think they have a lot more options than just what's on their board. The ladies that worked there the morning I went were extremely helpful and sweet. They are happy to answer any questions that you may have and are genuinely happy to be working there - it definitely shows! I had a chocolate coffee of some sort that I can't remember the name of. I appreciate the fact that their coffees are not too sweet. I am sure you could sweeten your drink up if you asked. I dislike super sweet stuff and so for me, the chocolate coffee I had was PERFECT. I also had a chorizo, egg and cheese sandwich on an English muffin. They come wrapped in some plastic packaging. I wasn't really a fan and probably won't be getting it again, but if you're on the run and need something to eat, it'll do the trick. The tables and chairs are spaced out so people aren't packed in like sardines. It's a nice open space with a very relaxed vibe. I would definitely go again and support them. I remember going to their original location a year ago and really enjoyed the coffee. It's nice to know it's expanded to a second location! They have a lot of interesting flavored lattes but my absolute favorite is their nitro coffee. I personally like the truffle flavored nitro coffee. I've yet to try the other flavored ones. Seating very limited so come early! We came on a Saturday and barely got the bar stool at the bar table near the entrance. I'm not sure what has taken me so long to make it to Phoenix Roasters since I literally pass it all the time on my way to Duluth (when I'm trying to avoid traffic, that is). But I finally caved when I found them on Instagram so I decided to stop by and try some of the nitro cold brews on tap. Everyone was so friendly! After sampling all the cold brews on tap, I ended up buying a growler of the Stout Truffle. They also took us on a tour and showed us their coffee roaster - they just happened to be roasting and we got to see some of the beans coming out of the roaster and it was definitely a treat to catch on camera. I've tried more than a few flavors, but my favorites are the Stout Truffle, the Strawberry Blonde Hibiscus, the Green Tea Lemonade and the Arnold Palmer. What a treat! I had the great pleasure of first encountering Phoenix Roasters on tap at Simply Done Donuts. It was there that I had my first Blueberry Blonde Basil. According to Phoenix Roaster's Facebook page, this delightful blend is a mix of their Guatemalan Blonde roast, blueberries, pomegranates, and basil tea. It is refreshing, rich, and amazing. It became a staple any time I was in Duluth. So imagine my surprise when one day the hubs comes home with a growler of it! Wow! Little did I know that just down the road, Phoenix Roasters has a store front where you can get a growler of their craft nitro brews with a discount on refills! We have enjoyed their Blueberry Blonde Basil, the Truffle Stout, and the Strawberry Stout. Every brew has been excellent! We are eager to try their Green Tea Lemonade, Espresso Tonic, and Maple Chai. Phoenix Roasters was truly an experience, let me just say that. While driving towards Downtown Duluth, my brother and I noticed a sign pointing the other direction on Main St. for Phoenix coffee and decided to check it out. We were in for a real treat! Phoenix Roasters isn't your typically coffee place, no no. It's located in a warehouse and that's because it's where they roast their beans! There are two sections of the warehouse that belongs to Phoenix; one is where they have their state of the art Nitro on tap and where they have church on Sunday mornings. Emily, who is just the sweetest gal, was working that day and gave us the entire run down of how Phoenix came about and how so many people were involved in making their nitro truly one of a kind. She had us try as many samples of nitro as we liked. The flavors that were available on tap during our visit included: - Stout truffle (the original) - Blonde Blueberry Basil (for my non-coffee-lover-but-still-need-caffeine peeps) - Apple Cinnamon (an ultra smooth apple cider drink) - Peppermint mocha (a holiday special must have) And two few others flavors that have escaped my mind at the moment. Now, I'll have you know that I honestly wasn't a huge fan of nitro brew coffee. I love lattes, cappuccinos, or a good drip; however, after visiting Phoenix, my appreciation for nitro has reached another level. After our brief taste tasting and a cup of our most liked nitro brew in our hands, my brother and I were led by Emily to the other section of the warehouse where they house their smaller bags of coffee beans, merchandise, and coffee-toffee! If there was anything I love more than coffee and chocolate, is it the two combined with toffee sandwiched in the middle. I love Phoenix's coffee-toffee. I got a 1/4 lb of the espresso coffee-toffee and I wish I went ahead and just got three more boxes. They also come in flavors of peppermint (for the holidays) and toasted almond. 1/4 lb of coffee-toffee is priced at $8.45 and 1/2 lb at $14.45. They have coffee sizes of 12 oz, 2 lbs, 5 lbs, and even k-cups. I didn't get a bag during this first visit, but am planning on trying their most popular flavors -- Panamanian. To top it all off, Emily gave us discount for hanging out with her! Emily, if you are reading this by any chance, it was truly our pleasure! I like their new spot Coffee That Matters right down the street. However the roastery's subscription service is not on par with others out there. After trying them I decided to sign up for a subscription. First bag came in October with a 8/9 roast date. Same thing happened in November with a roast date of August stated on the bag. A little disappointed that the beans they send subscribers are those roasted 3 month back. Blue Bottle and other subscriptions usually receive around the week mark of roasting. Not sure why anyone should subscribe instead of buying in bulk if both orders will come from the same batch. read more

The drinks and service were wonderful! My husband and I love to try new places and bring home swag. We were able to get t-shirts and a bag of coffee but we were hoping they had logo stickers or at least mugs or glasses as we find at other shops.
