Cool vibes and unique menu! I enjoyed the coffee I got. Staff was friendly. Seating both inside and outside.

Coffee was superb! Both drinks came out within 3 minutes even though the cafe was full. The decor is very calming and thought out. Only negative is that it is so popular there was no where to sit inside, but that speaks to how good it is.

Postern Coffee is such a solid local spot. On weekends it can get a little busy but the service is always quick, friendly and helpful without feeling rushed. The shop is clean with both indoor and outdoor seating, so it's an easy place to hang out or grab something to go. I usually order the matcha latte and it never disappoints. It's earthy but not overpowering. I like to add strawberry or the Oh Snap seasonal flavor. The ginger is mild but makes it really unique. I love that the matcha is made to order instead of being poured from a premade batch like other coffee shops. Definitely one of my go-to coffee shops.

Good food, solid coffee, excellent service. Came on a Saturday afternoon. I had previously visited for a food pop up but this time needed a place to work. There was plenty of space, comfortable seats and available outlets. I order a drip coffee but there were plenty of espresso drinks. The staff were friendly and checked on me for refills throughout my visit. I ordered food a little later. I noticed that some of the items were similar to the pop up I tried before. The bulgogi hoagie was good. I thought the meat was both a little sweet and salty but fine once soaked into the bread. Overall it was an excellent experience and I would go again.

I am writing this review geared towards those who are looking for good coffee and a place to work/study. Coffee/Drinks: Coffee is of amazing quality. Them barista know how to care and tender their coffee. I had the coconut ube latte and I was blown away. Such a unique taste that goes so well. The subtle sweet purple ube with a strong bitter coffee. I find myself satisfied and happy every time. I also had the Seoul Chai Latte and that was simple and clean as expected. Study place: Honestly one of the favorites and frequent places. I love how it is very dark academia type vibes or even industrial aesthetic honestly. Simple natural colors with lots of natural lighting coming in from the big vast windows in the front. the back is where the booths are with no lighting for those who prefer a more enclose feeling. In terms of outlets, they are pretty scarce and mostly in the back with the booths (about three outlets with 6 plugs total I believe). Please come with your devices charged. Theres also bar stools by the bar counter if you prefer that method of studying. There is also a couch in the front with two smaller coffee tables. There are also outdoor seating with umbrellas for the sun. There's also a wooden chairs circling a campfire as well. I enjoy the atmosphere and find myself very productive here. This type of place does operate from 7am-4pm. I wish they could open till late for a night owl like me, but it's ok. I shall accommodate. The people here are amazing and kind. Always thanking me and really helps create a friendly atmosphere. The bathrooms here are also very clean and elegant to say the least. I look forward to making this place my frequent stop.

4th or 5th time here and they've just added a lunch menu. Go to spot for working at a cafe with friends, there are 2 tables that comfortably sit 6. Not too loud inside but they also have outdoor seating where you can take meetings. Drinks are good, they use a2 milk so no worries if you're lactose intolerant. the high five is nice; tastes almost a little savory, post fashioned is nice with a bit of perilla oil, and matcha ube latte is a classic. Food wise, the chicken sandwich was very crispy but a bit dry (uses chicken breast) and bulgogi hoagie was very creamy and good, tasted a bit like the Korean cheesesteak from Fred's meat and bread. Will be coming back!

My second time here and the first time I had the matcha latte alone. I love supporting small businesses and truly did not hate or love the first one. Second time around I ended up trying their Samidori matcha with their seasonal Sakura strawberry foam with whole milk. Honestly I was dissatisfied, not only was it too milky which the foam then added on to. I barely tasted the matcha. They have two types of matcha but honestly after giving it a second chance I would stand firm on passing on the matcha here. I didn't even finish it bc I felt like I was drinking a cup of milk which I rarely do. Again their coffee might be good but it is not my preferred caffeine, hence will be a pass for me. The coffee shop is very aesthetic and honestly a great remote work place with plenty of seating and pretty quiet in the mornings.

I got a coconut ube latte and it's a drink that I'd come back for more. I'm not the biggest fan of coconut but it's a subtle taste and the ube overpowers. $7.50 for the drink but it's a decent size cup that makes it worth. Since they are Asian own, they have various Asian syrups that I'd come back to try like pandan vanilla and soy caramel. No extra charge for milk alternatives which is a plus. Plenty of seating inside and outside but they share a space with minhwa spirits.

Really cute spot with lots of seating, both indoors and outdoors! And a great place to get some work done. I love their seasonal menu, always featuring lots of interesting flavors. And I can see this spot appealing to coffee lovers. I, personally, am not the biggest coffee person, so I wish my drink was a little sweeter. But I think that's what would make other people love it.

Coconuts Ube Iced Latte and Hi-Five Iced Latte
    Anna M.

One of the most unique latte flavors I've had (the Hi-Five), and you could actually taste the clove and anise very well which I enjoyed! It wasn't overwhelming and well balanced with the coffee. My boyfriend got the Coconut Ube, which after tasting, I realized I wish I had gotten that because it was more my style... however the Hi-Five was still very very good! Overall, you can tell the coffee is good quality. The seating area was kept very clean and had a lat of natural light which I love. The bathrooms were well maintained too. Plenty of parking available. They have outlets near the booths in the back, but I'm sure those seats get grabbed first so come with a full charge on your devices if you don't come earlier in the day! I just wish this was closer... but maybe it's a good thing it isn't because I'd be coming all the time and I'd drain my bank account by constantly buying the Coconut Ube Latte.

Love this place! Very aesthetic coffee shop tucked away in a strip mall in an area with limited coffee shops. We really appreciated the unique flavors and creativity put into the menu. We didn't get a chance to try food this time but look forward to doing so next time.

My new fav coffee in Atlanta!!! Postern is in Minhwa Spirits in the mornings and afternoons and has super unique and delicious drinks and pastries. It's a bit busy so it might be hard to find seating indoors, but there's plenty of tables outside on their patio. The staff is super friendly and gives really good advice on drinks, but I keep going back to their ube lattes lol. I love how creamy they are and the caffeine provides the perfect kick. The restaurant in Minhwa switches often, so the food is hit or miss, but the coffee from Postern is always the best!

    Matcha with strawberry Sakura syrup

This was my second time there. This time i ordered a matcha and scone and sat outside with my dog. I got the matcha( the lower priced one that i can't remember the name of) with the strawberry sakura syrup. Delicious they use really great quality matcha The barista working that day was super informative when i asked her which matcha to use She said the lower priced one is best with syrups/flavors The higher priced one is best one its own so you can really taste the matcha The chocolate chip scone was really good. I wish i would've gotten the early grey cookie Either way, try it out!

I reserved/ordered a cake on 03/24/2026 to be picked up on 03/26/2026 @ 9:00am (Today). When I ordered the cake I wanted something large enough that could give approximately 20 people a decent enough piece of cake to eat. The guy taking the order said a 10" cake is not shown in the display but it would probably be enough for 20 people. There was literally no special instructions, special messages or deviations from the same design that was in the display case. I asked if two days was sufficient time for this cake to be made and ready by 03/26/2026 at 9:00am to which he replied "the staff comes in at 3:00am and since it's two days it will be enough time". I paid and left. The morning of pickup (Today) approximately an hour before pickup time they called me from an unknown number several times and when I didn't pick up they texted me. They claimed they didn't see my order until this morning and that I needed to provide a week's notice for the type of cake I ordered (In direct conflict with what I was told on the day I ordered it). They then offered to push my pickup time back 3 hours and "try" to have it ready by then or give me a 7" cake and a 9" cake instead. After they messed up and didn't provide what I ordered in the first place, it's safe to say I didn't have much faith left in either of the alternatives they offered nor their word. I opted for a third option, my money back. This cake was supposed to be for a 96 year old grandmother's birthday and her friends. But never mind that, there's always next year, right? Potential customers be warned and make absolute SURE you VERIFY with whoever you're ordering about WHAT you're ordering before spending any money here. Edit: I will extend an olive branch and give one star back because they addressed the mistake and maintained communication in a professional manner.

They even have a cozy living-room style seating area that adds to the relaxed vibe. There's also outdoor seating, which would be perfect on a beautiful day. The latte I ordered was divine- smooth, balanced, and perfectly crafted. As someone who loves good latte art, Kin's baristas absolutely deliver. We were served the most beautiful swan latte art, which made the experience even better. Totally brewtiful! Everyone in our group loved their drinks. One friend mentioned their strawberry matcha is amazing, so that's definitely on my list for my next visit. Interior wise, it's cute. It tries to invoke a sense of Japanese aesthetic with the shoji panels, all the wood and light, the fake flowers, and I don't hate it. It's a fine place to sit and chat, though I feel bad for others who want to visit because again, the parking here sucks. I got their black sesame latte float with a matcha and sakura (seasonal flavor) swirl. The sakura was sweeter than anticipated and not floral, which was a bit disappointing since I didn't like it alone or mixing with the matcha flavor. The black sesame portion was fine. I like the nuttiness of black sesame in general, and I would've loved if they used more for a stronger flavor. The flavor was subtle, and with the ice and soft serve on top, got easily diluted.

That includes locations I've visited in Northern California, North Brunswick, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the one here in Charlotte down in Pineville. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent. Everything looked fresh, full, and irresistible. The setup inside is easy and efficient. It's self-serve: you grab a tray, line it with parchment, use the tongs, and select whatever catches your eye--from baguettes to cakes to coffee drinks.
