Found my Kindred coffee spot in Downtown Chamblee. Kin Coffees knows coffee! As a big coffee and cafe lover, I really enjoyed my visit to Kin Coffee. The space is open, airy, and thoughtfully designed. I especially loved the seating layout. There's actually room to breathe. You're not crammed next to other tables or accidentally overhearing your neighbor's entire life story. Some cafes feel packed like sardines, but Kin does it right. They even have a cozy living-room style seating area that adds to the relaxed vibe. There's also outdoor seating, which would be perfect on a beautiful day. The latte I ordered was divine- smooth, balanced, and perfectly crafted. As someone who loves good latte art, Kin's baristas absolutely deliver. We were served the most beautiful swan latte art, which made the experience even better. Totally brewtiful! Everyone in our group loved their drinks. One friend mentioned their strawberry matcha is amazing, so that's definitely on my list for my next visit. Another thing I loved: they showcase work from local artists that's displayed and available for purchase. Love, love, love when cafés support local creatives. They also offer a few pastry options that could pair nicely with your drink. Will have to try that next time My only wish? That they stayed open later because I could easily see myself hanging out here all the time. Located in the heart of Chamblee Downtown is this cute coffee shop. They have parking in the front & back. It stays quite busy throughout the day, I went during lunch time but that does not compromise their service. The barista was super nice and suggested I try this latte as it was my first time there. The ambiance in the coffee shop is very nice and warm. They have plenty of seating and display art from local artists. Perfect place to work from home or just hang out with your friends. The white chocolate cookie latter was made fairly quickly and was absolutely delicious! I can't wait to try their other drinks and bring my friends to try. read more

Casual yet aesthetic coffee shop with plenty of seating & parking in the back! The workers were really nice. I ordered a matcha latte and an earl grey basque cheesecake to go. The matcha latte was lightly sweetened and strong - just right for me! The earl grey basque cheesecake had a strong tea flavor which was really nice but wish the center was softer - usually basque cheesecakes have a custard like center. The texture here was closer to a regular cheesecake. Will def return, seems like a great place to get work done with yummy food and drinks. read more

This is the coffee hub that Chamblee has needed for years. On a Friday morning it was packed but line moving quick and plenty of open seats because there's a lot of seating available. Street parking along the front as well as around the corner, we never have issues finding a spot (is it luck?). The inside is spacious with plenty of table seating including a sofa. The openness of the space where you can see all the baristas making the coffees is a nice vibe. They offer seasonal menus and a standard menu of all the classics. Single origin beans are for sale and they're priced pretty affordably compared to others ($17-$18 per bag). Dogs are allowed which is HUGE win, especially in this summer eat. I had the pour over (hot) of the Thailand beans and my husband had the pour over (iced) of the Ethiopian beans and they were both SO GOOD. The glasses they come in are a vibe, very aesthetic but also ergonomic (some mugs make it very difficult to hold and hurts my fingers lol). BEST coffee in town, AND arguably best WFCS (Work from Coffee Shop) ambiance too. They have really good quality espresso. They also have a great pastry selection, though it's extremely expensive. Overall, the aesthetic is very quiet and clean and peaceful. Highly recommend taking a visit here, although you need to check the hours first because they are closed a few days a week. read more

This place is super cute! When you walk up, you see the space where they roast the coffee beans and then when you enter it just feels like a big hug. It's bright inside. It has hardwood floors. The shelves have stickers and different types of coffee beans for sale. And then you get up to the counter and the staff is just so nice. They have tons of coffee drinks as well as non-coffee beverages. I had something called The Spicy dragon I think. It had ginger and lemon and hot water and it just was great. It seems very clean and chill. The service was also really nice! I would say the matcha was okay, a little clunky and sweet . The cheesecake wasn't too dense either. Chamblee desperately needed a place like Kin Coffee, and we got it! Great location on the rail trail in "downtown" (lol) Chamblee. The inside is immaculate and reminiscent of other Korean coffee houses which I've visited. Cortado was perfect, matcha latte was beautiful, and service came with genuine smiles. The staff genuinely seemed like they wanted to be there. The place was abuzz with remote workers and the coffee shop crowd I expect in ATL. When we moved to Chamblee, not having a M&P coffee place was our one knock on the neighborhood. Kin Coffee has a nice, open configuration with comfortable seating and spaces for hanging out with a computer (or book). The coffee and pastries were fresh and paired well together. Donuts were tasty and made fresh daily. I had a nice conversation with the owner (Phil) who shared his wonderful vision for the place. Hopefully I can sign up for the pour over class to up my coffee game. Kim Coffee is filling the gap left by Moonbird Coffee which was located in Southbound restaurant. I would recommend this up and starting coffee shop as it looks to provide an experience like Opo coffee on the other side of greater Atlanta. read more

Such a cute and cozy coffee shop! This was my first time visiting, but I'll certainly return. I ordered an Americano with vanilla and cinnamon. It was the perfect boost to jump start my day. The cashier was swift and friendly, which I appreciated in the fast-paced atmosphere. As a bonus, it's across the street from a Norfolk Southern depot. So, it's perfect for trainspotters! I heard that this place recently opened in Chamblee. I honestly didn't expect this cafe to be so busy, I saw so many people come and go or take a seat. They have lots of seating for a cafe: the front had high bar seats, the middle has a couch, countertop seating, and four large rectangular tables (every other one has an outlet next to it). Sadly, there are not that many outlets here. I lucked out and sat at a rectangular table with an outlet. Despite the signs, the owner said we can park in the back gravel parking lot. I just happened upon this gem while driving through my neighborhood. Ordered an almond croissant and vanilla latte. I consider myself a bit of a coffee snob and Kin Coffee did NOT disappoint. They roast the coffee in-house and you can taste the care they put into carefully crafting homemade syrups to complement their coffee. From Great customer service, to amazing flavors and great pastries, I find myself going back to try all their new amazing flavor combinations. The atmosphere is perfect with huge bay windows that offer bright diffused light, comfortable couches and chairs, original art, and a clear view into their roasting room, I find myself sitting for a while just to take it all in. Large burlap sacks full of raw coffee beans sit in plain view; giving the feel of craft coffee. It's magical. read more

I got the Georgia Fog (seasonal drink) and inhaled it in 5 minutes - wasn't too sweet, just the right amount of creamy to balance out the acidity of the coffee. I was pleasantly surprised to snag a blind box from Kin Coffee this time. Parking here can be a bit tricky, but the interior design is really nice. The blind box came with a cup of black coffee--slightly bitter but perfect for a morning pick-me-up--and two pieces of bread: a cupcake and a sugar-filled bun. Good coffee in Chamblee! Yaaay!!! The selection is somewhat limited as far as flavors but sometimes, simplicity is best with coffee. They also have ample seating and the ambiance seems prime for studying. The "coffee bar" area is a neat touch and I can't wait to see what else they do with the space. Parking is somewhat limited but if you know anything about (downtown?) Chamblee dining, that's not news to you. Very friendly baristas and lots of interesting items to peak at while you wait. The vibes here are so homey. There's something cozy about the creaking floorboards as you're walking inside, and the dark wooden tables and chairs add to its quaint and simple atmosphere. I ordered an iced latte with simple syrup, and it was lovely. The espresso had a stronger taste than what I'm used to with other coffee shops, but I didn't mind it at all. There is outdoor seating available, though I'm sure it gets full fast during peak hours and weekends. I love the coffee! If you bring your own ice cream, they can make an affogato for you! The cashiers and baristas are very friendly. This place is lovely! We came in on a Sunday afternoon and ordered a vanilla latte which was delicious, and an iced matcha latte which I was so impressed with! Many times when ordering matcha from a coffee shop I get a pale green drink with way too much milk, not enough matcha, so I stick with specialty shops or homeade for that reason- but this one was PERFECT. The coffee is also great quality and sustainably sourced. The inside has plenty of seating and it's all nicely spaced out. Its an older building so it has a cozy woody smell inside. This just might be the best coffee shop in Chamblee. The staff is friendly and the space is very welcoming with rustic wooden floors and lots of natural light throughout. The owner has great knowledge which lends itself to well executed pour overs and espresso served in nice ceramics. Our favorite so far has been the Ethiopian Shakiso Wesi over ice. We learned the coffee is roasted in house which makes for great fresh home brews as well. read more
