I recommend 50% sweetness if you want it sweet but not too sweet iykyk. Our favorite drink was the mango pomelo sago HOWEVER fair warning is it is BITTER from the pomelo they use, so be warned. I think all the drinks we tried were amazing and we'll be back to try their ice cream since that's what everyone had.
My friend wanted us to get ice cream and she recommended us this place! Parking was a bit tight but we found it pretty easily! We walked inside and I was in love with how spacious and clean it was! You have multiple places to order. Self service kiosk and at the counter as well. They have boba and ice cream. I ordered a taiyaki ice cream with vanilla and was pleased by how fast it was ready! It looked so pretty and tasted just as delicious! I have yet to try the boba tea but the ice cream was good! I'll be back for sure to try that boba!
We came here for what I like to call the fish ice cream! Their ordering process was a little annoying. They had tablets and it wasn't very easy to figure out how to order. I made it work. I did a build your own bowl with coffee ice-cream, no filling in my fish and pocky sticks and Oreos. I was a happy camper! I would definitely recommend. They worked the orders pretty quick too. There was plenty of seating and the area was very open.
I was really craving something fruity and refreshing, and Tea Leaf & Creamery definitely hit the spot. This is a cute dessert shop that serves a great variety of refreshing Asian teas and bubble teas, smoothies, and desserts like taiyaki with ice cream. Their Super Fruit Tea with Four Seasons oolong tea is so good. It's perfectly balanced, flavorful, and incredibly refreshing. The taiyaki with ice cream was also made to perfection. Taiyaki is a Japanese fish-shaped cake. It's made so well here!! Seriously. They offer several pre-fixed signature taiyaki ice cream options, but you can also build your own ice cream bowl with either taiyaki or an egg waffle and various toppings. I loved that the taiyaki was filled with custard, and the ice cream itself was delicious. The crunchy sprinkles added a nice texture and extra flavor to every spoonful. The ambiance is another plus, as are their hours of operation. There aren't many cafés open late anymore, so it's great that they stay open until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and until 10 p.m. on other nights. The interior is nice and spacious, with plenty of tables available. Definitely check them out if you're in the area. They're located off Buford Highway and also have a couple of other locations around town.
This would be a 4.5 star review if that was possible! Drinks: 5/5 I got half sugar lychee oolong fruit tea with regular boba, and that was one of the most satisfying boba drinks I've had in a while! Perfect sweetness and boba texture, slightly softer than other locations. We also got jasmine green milk tea 70% sugar with regular boba and it was "10/10" per my sister! Taiyaki ice cream: 4/5 I got the cookies and cream option which was pretty good, however the custard filling could have been better. I believe the Nutella filling option would be delicious! My sister got the matcha option and she had the exact same feeling - delicious ice cream but mediocre custard filling. Service: nice cashier, and the staff reads the order numbers loud enough to hear for pickup. Ambiance: lots of seating and good lighting, very aesthetically pleasing.
Tea Leaf & Creamery in Doraville is a very cute boba shop and dessert cafe! I've been to the one in Decatur which is a lot smaller, if you're hoping for larger seating options I'd recommend the Doraville location. I had the white peach tea with lychee jelly and my friend had a fruit tea, and we shared a build your own taiyaki dessert. We got custard, matcha, condensed milk, strawberries, and boba as the toppings. The boba topping was more like white crystal boba with brown sugar though, not the typical tapioca I was expecting. Overall, I really enjoyed both my drink and dessert, I definitely would come back again!!

Their taiyaki (fish‑shaped waffle shell) is a showstopper and a must try (especially for the pictures)--crispy exterior, pillowy warm inside. You can choose fillings like Nutella or house‑made custard, then nestle in a scoop (or two!) of your favorite ice cream. I tried the Cookies and Cream, and the Salted Caramel Crunch on two occasions, one with the velvety custard inside and one with the Nutella stuffing. The contrast of warm, sweet custard/nutella with the ice cream was heaven. They also have bubble teas and I've heard only good things from my friends. That's next on my list. If you're craving a fun, shareable dessert with flair, the Nutella & custard taiyaki is a must. Pair it with a refreshing tea, and you've got the quintessential Tea Leaf & Creamery experience. The only thing I will be reviewing is the milk tea with boba since that is the only thing I order here. For me the tea is perfectly blended and the boba is always fresh. I sometimes like to substitute the boba for popping boba, occasionally Strawberry. . The service is usually very good but it depends on the barista. This is a great place to sit and chat.
This is such a great spot for boba and dessert! It's the perfect place to have fun, and the atmosphere is just lovely. Plus, the service is always super friendly, and efficient. I especially love that you can customize the sweetness of your drinks. The boba is chewy and sweet, but not at all mushy!
Tea Leaf and Creamery is a boba shop that also sells desserts, such as egg waffles and taiyaki! The inside was spacious and gorgeous. Our drinks came out pretty quick as well. My friend and I got the Mango Fruit Tea and Passion Fruit Yakult. The Mango Fruit Tea tasted okay, but my friend did get 0% sweetness. As far as my Passion Fruit Yakult, it could have tasted better. Maybe passion fruit and yakult do not mix well together as a flavor combination, but there were also seeds and a lemon slice inside my drink that made it more tart and bitter than sweet, which is what I wanted with a yakult drink. My friends have raved about this place ever since I moved to Atlanta, but I think it is alright. The food might be better though, so I might try that if I end up here next time.
Came by on a Saturday after lunch and waited about 10-15m for my 2 drinks and egg waffle. Ordered the four seasons milk tea & milk tea taro marble drink. Wished the four seasons tea was stronger as it felt a bit watered down even at 75% sugar. Milk tea taro ordered at 50% sugar and the milk tea was a bit bitter and taro paste wasn't sweetened which I didn't know! Next time will do 75% if we return. Egg waffle was tasty as expected - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Lots of seating inside.
TEA LEAF PLEASE | tea leaf & creamery originally opened in Decatur/Emory area and this Doraville location was their second and much closer to me. This location is much larger with slightly more seating than the Decatur location. Also more spread out and comfortable! My go to topping is their mochi pudding - it's a creamy texture that instantly transforms any drink into a dessert. Whether that's in the milk tea or uji matcha... you can really add it into any drink, though. The ice cream mango tea is also a great summery dessert drink. If you're in the area and don't want to travel far for dessert/boba, Tea Leaf should be on your list!
I love coming here with my friends for our boba drinks, they have good refreshing drinks as well. The employees are always really sweet and patient!
This is such a cute shop! I can't believe I had never stopped in before, especially since I'm often in this area. During our visit, my partner ordered the Super Fruit Tea ($5.95) and I got the Lychee Fruit Tea with Mango Popping Boba ($5.95). Both drinks were delicious. The Super Fruit Tea was packed with real fruit and tasted fresh. I was told that the lychee tea is made with a lychee jam rather than fresh fruit, but it still had a great flavor and paired well with the mango popping boba. Many boba shops in the area charge more than $7 per drink, so we were pleasantly surprised to find quality drinks here for under $6. We'll definitely be back to try more of their beverages. read more
This place was amazing on our visit! The flavors of our drinks and ice cream were superb. I had the strawberry cheesecake ice cream with extra strawberries and the custard in the made to order cone. It was perfect! The custard here was not too sweet which just added to the overall flavor profile. My jasmine milk tea with the cheese foam was also a great choice. It was creamy and smooth. I ordered mine with no added sweetness because of having it with my dessert and it tasted great. Service was friendly enough and the seating area was comfortable. I would gladly come here again. I will say it was a little bit pricey but you get what you pay for at this place. read more
This is a really nice ice cream/smoothie/ice cream shop located on Buford Highway to help Withers sweet craving whenever the desire strikes. It's a great location, clean with modern interiors. I don't think I've ever had anything here which doesn't taste great. Particularly the fish shaped dessert filled with Nutella that can be added to any ice cream. Service is prompt. We went to this bbt spot after having 98k across the street and oh boy - was it a disappointment. I got a bubble milk tea (30% sugar) with milk pudding and it was soooo sweet! My sister got an oolong milk tea (70% sugar) also with milk pudding and it hurt my head with the amount of sugar in the drink! They also didn't taste too authentic in terms of tea flavor. Disappointed given all of the great reviews. The interior was cute though - nice semi-circle soft chairs and clean otherwise. read more
Everything about the cafe experience was great from start to finish. It is a very clean, sleek, and comfortable setting, with just the right amount of seating to provide a small cafe vibe. The customer service was great. This was our first time here and the barista who took our order was very patient. We got a medium Thai milk tea with boba (30% sweet) and a large fresh taro marble bubble tea (0% sweet). The barista explained that they use REAL (HYFR) taro paste in this drink and that it has a texture that might throw you off if you're used to the mix-in's. We told her that's EXACTLY what we want, and none of that powdered stuff! Give us the real deal. It was so good. Just the right amount of sweetness in both drinks. I really like that this place leans more authentic in the manufacture of their products... it's pretty rare these days to get real taro paste in your tea. And it was packaged incredibly well. I hope to visit again soon to try their ice cream. read more

This place is amazing! The atmosphere is relaxed, music playing, and plenty of seating. It's great for a first date or if you just want to get some work done away from home. The staff are friendly and quite beautiful. But the real star here is their offerings. I got a cold Strawberry Matcha at 30% sweetness...just enough sweetness. And it was my first time getting a Taiyaki but it will not be my last. The outside is light and crispy while the inside is soft and sweet. I added REAL vanilla bean ice cream and omg...it was so good I could cry. The way the custard, ice cream and crispy Taiyaki all melded together in the cup...perfection. Needless to say these treats did not make it home. As I am writing this review from the parking lot...lol Thank you TLC for making my first visit a real treat. I will be back read more
Great spot for non-traditional boba drinks! Everytime I come here, I've only ever gotten a drink that's not milk tea. This time I got the ice cream lychee tea and it was really good! Something I really like about Tea Leaf & Creamery is they use real fruit in their drinks. I could see little ground up bits of lychee and the flavor was of real and not artificial lychee. This was more like a dessert rather than a drink, and 50% sugar was just right. Some drinks are only offered in the large size. As a result, it can feel expensive here because the larges range from $7-8, but it is a lot for one person, so I usually split a large drink anyway. The interior is spacious and clean! Nice place to hangout with some friends as there's plenty of seating. read more

Like the decor. Classy for a bubble tea and ice cream spot. cream/ivory color scheme. smells delicious. too many options. options are great but not when you're already indecisive and other people's concoctions looks sooo yummy. intentionally not using proper capitalization tonight 10/4/2023. ordered medium Thai ice tea, no ice. 50% sugar and regular (honey) pearls (boba..jelly). not too sweet. just enough with the honey pearls. this was a safe order. may try something different next time. the young lady at register tonight was nice and helpful in helping me decide with pearl flavor. read more
Tea leaf consistently has good boba and the tea itself. This specific location is close to all the food places on buford hwy. Plenty of parking in the complex. A lot of seating inside and great ambiance. They do have a self order kiosk (which wasnt the easiest boba kiosk i used). Lot of varieties of drink options. We tried the mango and super fruit tea. The drinks are refreshing and boba was good. Tad bit pricey compared to other boba places. But reflects in the quality IMO. read more
This would be a wonderful place to hang out with friends and get work done. Their booths are so cute and comfortable. I got the tiramisu matcha with boba and it was amazing. We also got some ice cream and it was delicious too. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody going. The workers were so nice and helpful. I came in on a Sunday surprisingly there were barely anyone inside. Of course there are MANY places to get drinks on the strip. The ambiance was cute curve booths for you to sit with friends colleagues or a date. Lots of refreshing options on the menu and you can get fresh scoops of different flavor ice creams. The service was quick and the ladies working the counter were nice. There is a kiosk to order drinks too!! Needless to say the cup they give you is study and reusable! read more
Walked in and the place has great lighting. The booths to the right side are very cute! There's lots on the menu. What stuck out to me is that they have QR codes for the dairy. Free menu the caffeine free menu and the drink menu, which is really helpful! They have taiyaki And Boba along with teas and ice cream's! A well-rounded dessert place. The woman working at the counter was really helpful! I am dairy, free and lactose, free for my diet, and she was really patient with me and answer the questions that I had about the menu. I was able to order a fruit tea smoothie, which was really delicious! Overall, I had a really good experience. By the time we had gotten our orders, the restaurant have gotten busy and I'm so glad that we got there when we did. Just such a lovely experience here and would definitely look forward to coming back again when I get hot pot in the area. read more
One of my go-to tea spots on Buford Highway. While they have a few of your standard boba tea options, like Thai tea or taro, it's their high-quality loose leaf and fruit teas that really shine. I love the watermelon ice cream smoothie and all of their yogurt teas. My partner is also fond of their salted custard taiyaki with ice cream. They have lots of unique drinks that you can't find at other boba places in the area, and it's a great place to grab a quick dessert at the same time. read more

We came here to check out their milk teas on a recent Monday night a little after 8 pm. Tea Leaf & Creamery has been open for over a year now, and I had driven by many, many times during that time, never noticing it until now. This Tea Leaf, which is part of a chain, is located in Northwoods Plaza, Doraville, a strip mall at the west edge of Doraville on busy Buford Highway. At 8 pm on a weeknight, it was very easy to find a parking space in the free lot shared by all of the strip mall businesses. Stepping into a brightly lit business, we walked about halfway into the space, past a long table where a large group of socializing women sat, to get to the order counter, where one of the employees immediately gave us a warm welcome. Comfy looking small round booths were against the wall, as were more seating areas. We quickly decided on a classic tea, both of us ordering a bubble milk tea, mine with less ice and with 30% sugar, and R's with less ice and less boba. Our wait didn't take long, and our drinks were made as ordered. The boba were a little too soft for my preference, but the tea flavor was good. This is a nice place to sit and enjoy tea. Besides teas and fruit drinks, this business also sells taiyaki, a waffle-ish dessert usually filled with something sweet, and ice cream. read more

One month to the year Tea Leaf & Creamery opened their first location in Decatur (May 2020: https://bit.ly/3GeR0Ac), they opened a second location on Buford Highway in Doraville in May 2021. I have to admit I was a bit surprised to hear last summer when they announced plans to open a BuHi location. Decatur (more specifically, North Decatur), I can see, because they're the top dog in the neighborhood. Buford Highway in Doraville? *This* is where the stiffest bubble tea competition in metro Atlanta exists. Over the past decade-plus, Doraville has seen bubble tea shops come and go. Yi Fang Taiwan Fruit Tea was the latest casualty; opened March 2019, closed November 2021: http://bit.ly/2wnti5r. Tea Leaf & Creamery took over the old Utepia Tea space in the Northwoods Plaza strip mall at the corner of Buford Highway and Shallowford Road. Utepia didn't last long, opening in February 2019 and closing sometime in mid-2020, I think: http://bit.ly/3bMJZYs. Add Tea Leaf & Creamery to the list I documented in my Tan-Cha review: https://bit.ly/3zBg6GN. By my count, Tea Leaf is at least the fifth bubble tea shop to open on Buford Highway since September 2020. It's a crowded market with a lot of good to great options. Whereas you can get by with just being "good" in most other places, I think you have to be "great" to really last a long time on this stretch. And in my opinion, Tea Leaf & Creamery is great. Another admission I have to make is the business name -- when I first heard it for the original location in Decatur (and as I mentioned in my review for that location), "Tea Leaf & Creamery" just sounded generic and cookie-cutter to me. However, the quality of the ingredients and the preparation of the teas, taiyaki, egg waffles, and ice creams have generally been very good between both locations. These guys know what they're doing and I can tell they care about their product, at least for now (quality can be a challenge to maintain). They're not out to make a quick buck. From Cuckoo's Cafe to Pearl's Tea, most of these Asian tea, snack, and dessert shops / bakeries and cafes on BuHi each try to do something to differentiate themselves from one another, whether it's in the types of drinks they serve, unique food offerings, and/or seating/interior decor. What sets Tea Leaf & Creamery apart is their taiyaki ice cream. Not only is it excellent, but at the time of writing this review, off the top of my head, I can't think of any other place on Buford Highway or nearby where you can find it. Tea Leaf & Creamery is the first to offer it. Sure, Korean bakery-cafes like White Windmill serve taiyaki (in Korean, "bungeo-ppang"), but they're different: smaller and typically filled with red bean paste. They're not the large custard-filled kind that Tea Leaf & Creamery makes, with ice cream. If you're not familiar, taiyaki is cooked batter in the shape of a fish. It originated in Japan and is a popular street food in Asia. More modern variations of taiyaki involve ice cream or soft serve. Taiyaki can be used as the "cone" part of soft serve, but the way Tea Leaf & Creamery serves it is more practical: upside-down in a cup with a spoon. Also, Tea Leaf & Creamery does scoops of ice cream, not soft serve out of a machine. Their taiyaki ice cream is incredibly delicious and I highly recommend it. During our visit, there were eight Signature Taiyaki on the menu, priced at $6.25 or $7.25 each. The Signature Taiyaki come with preset taiyaki filling, ice cream, and topping combinations. We had the Classic Frenchie ($6.25) which comes with French vanilla bean ice cream, custard-filled taiyaki, Pocky sticks, and honey bubbles (boba) and the Matcha-ppreciated ($7.25) which comes with matcha green tea ice cream, custard-filled taiyaki, Pocky sticks, and Chinese mini milk biscuit balls. Both were excellent. You can also customize your taiyaki ice cream from 12 ice cream flavors and 20 toppings. As for Tea Leaf & Creamery's tea, I think it's really good and can stand up to some of the best bubble teas in Atlanta. I counted close to 70 different drink options in nine categories with nearly 20 topping choices. Categories included fresh fruit Smoothie Teas and "Marble Bubble" teas which are like Brown Sugar Boba drinks, with layers of boba, syrup, and milk. We had a 60'Sec Da Hong Pao Tea ($5.75) and a Handcrafted Mango Coco ($5.95) fruit tea. Both were top-notch. "60'Sec" refers to the amount of time the tea bags are boiled in water. Da Hong Pao is a type of Chinese oolong tea. This one was great; rich and robust in flavor. Terrific quality. The Handcrafted Mango Coco was refreshing and enjoyable, consistent with the same drink we've had at the Decatur location. Some, but not all, drinks are available in both medium (500 mL or 16.9 oz) and large (700 mL or 23.7 oz) sizes. Service was good. Came here with a couple of friends after dinner. We heard about a new boba shop and decided to check it out. It's located in a big shopping center so parking is plentiful. The interior is bright and spacious. Style is modern and minimalistic. The shop was very clean. It took me a while to decide on what to offer. They serve a nice variety of desserts such as bubble tea, taiyaki, ice cream and more. I appreciate their kind and patient staff letting me ask a million questions. After staring at the menu for what felt like forever, I finally ordered a creme brulee uji matcha. I really enjoy matcha but have never had an uji matcha before. I thought it was very tasty combined with their creme brulee topping. It had a great matcha flavor without overpowering the drink, and the drink as a whole was just the right amount of sweetness for me. I thoroughly enjoyed it. My friends enjoyed their choices as well.
