Manila Mart is located in a small strip mall with parking. This small Filipino market not only has ingredients and dry goods, etc (things you would expect a small market to carry), but they also have premade meals (rice bowls, cooked meat, noodle dishes, etc) available for purchase. They also have a halo halo, which is what brought me here. My husband and I came on a Friday afternoon, a little after 4 pm. It was pretty quiet and empty, with only one employee at the counter. I asked for the halo halo and waited about 5- 6 minutes for it to be made and brought to the counter. Service was okay. The employee wasn't much of a talker and seemed a bit shy and reserved. For my halo halo dessert (which came out to $5.76 after tax), it came with 2 small scoops of ube ice cream, corn flakes, crushed ice, ube halaya (which is ube jam I guess you could call it), beans, milk (this may have been coconut milk and evaporated milk) and some jelly pieces. This was a great size for the price and perfect for sharing with my husband and our little girl dog. We ate in the car (although there is some seating with tables inside the market if you prefer). I have had halo halo desserts growing up and each of them are generally a little different from each other because of the things they use in it (although there are generally some ingredients that are common among them). I thought this one was pretty good and very tasty. I wished there was more ube ice cream though. Overall, would come back to get another halo halo and maybe even some of the premade meals.

I know, I know - I'm late to the party, lol. I finally experienced my first "halo halo" and what a perfect dessert for the hot Atlanta weather! For those who've never been, Manila Mart is a small Filipino grocery store, on the backside of the same shopping as "Treat My Feet" and "Cafe Mozart". Order your "halo halo" at the front counter, and they will go to a separate room behind closed doors (lol) where they create this magnificent dessert :) The guy making my dessert was super nice, and explained "halo halo" means "mixed" - hence you need to mix all the ingredients before consuming ... which was helpful to know b/c otherwise I would've enjoyed it layer by layer. The dessert includes two scoops of ube ice cream (ube is purple yam), dollop of ube jam, corn flakes (great texture enhancer), coconut strings, shaved ice & evaporated milk, and sweet beans. So yummy!! FYI halo halo is $5.99 and totally worth it. I'll be back for more.

    Halo Halo time with wifey!

It's great to have a Filipino Market in the area, also great for Balikbayan boxes to send home stuff to your loved ones in the Philippines! Did I mention too that they even serve Halo Halo here?! Well now I did. Come try the tasty sweet dessert drink! Aka "mix mix" full of coconut strings, jackfruit, sweet beans, jelly, condensed milk and u e ice cream and if you're lucky two pieces of flan. Lol.

Delicious Halo-Halo here! For $4.99, you get a generous serving topped with Ube ice cream. The market itself has all of the Filipino essentials and prices seemed reasonable given import costs. Definitely worth the trek, especially on a hot summer day.

Halo halo! This is one of the most refreshing Asian street dessert I've had in a long time. Thanks to Yelp , we had located one during our road trip. Great and fast service. Definitely worth it to stop in if you are ever in the area!

I was seeking an adventurous beverage/dessert and landed here based on the reviews. I asked the man for the HaloHalo (not really knowing what it was) and he appeared a few minutes later with an art piece of a dessert. He instructed me to mix all the layers together. I made the 10 minute trip home to enjoy it so it was a little more melted than had I eaten it there. I've never had anything like it! I really enjoyed sharing it w my family. It's very large!

I love the Ube Ice cream and all the deliciousness of Halo Halo

Best Halo Halo !!! It's very rare to find a Filipino Asian stores in Georgia!!! Glad we ran into this market! They have a lot of choices when it comes to grocery. I wish it was a restaurant where you can dine in and enjoy Filipino dish. But they do have Pre-packed meals you can purchase and enjoy feasting at home !!! I bought some of the beef empanadas and it was good!!!

What a nice little gem! I stumbled upon this mini Filipino grocery store while trying to find deserts on Buford Highway. The grocery section has a decent collection of Filipino products from abroad. Lots of authentic ingredients to use for cooking Filipino dishes. Lots of interesting deserts as well, which I'm always on the hunt for. I ordered the Halo Halo (pronounced hall-o, not hey-lo). It's a popular desert in the Philippines so I had to try it. It's essentially shaved ice with fruits, jellies, and topped with different ice cream flavors. I chose the default Ube (purple yam) flavor. It was my first time having it so I was unsure how it would taste, but found myself really liking it! It's not too sweet and was pretty light, which is nice considering I just had a big meal. I will definitely be back to try some of the other goodies sold in grocery section!

Went here to try Halo Halo for the first time. It's a small grocery store with a lot of filipino snacks and products. It's definitely a hole in the wall and worth visiting.

ube heaven, mango ice cream is shown too, coconut ice cream also available

Too bad Atlanta has such as a small Filipino community. I've always admired Filipinos. They are so beautiful and talented. They are dark skin Asians. I may be biase saying this because I'm dark skin myself and have been mistaken many times as a Filipino. Even Filipinos think I am Filipino lol. Growing up, I've always wondered how Filipino food tasted. I also follow a well known YouTuber who travels, he has been asked before where is favorite place to travel to where the people are nice, speak English, have cheap food, and nature. he says, Philippines! Manila Mart is the ONLY Filipino market in Atlanta. The address has Buford Hwy but where Manila Mart is located, it faces New Peachtree Road. The shopping center does face Buford Hwy and if you park there, you have to walk up to the second floor to get to Manila Mart. It is small and has some of the same ingredients that you can find in other Asian markets PLUS Filipino yumminess you cannot find anywhere else. Such as pork and chicken lumpia, halo halo, pichi pichi, ube ice cream, etc. There is a small seating area for those who want to sit and order halo halo and other Filipino goodies. There is no menu or anything. Because I know Manila Mart has halo halo, I just told the person at the cash register that I wanted it. He told the lady in the back to make halo halo. I saw the freezer section in the back with a lot of frozen fish! When I came home, I fried the lumpias, the kids loved them. My son who doesn't care for any type of veggies, even starch but he was so impress with ube ice cream. When we told him it is a veggie. He was shocked. I tried the pichi pichi and am so in love with it that I want to make my own!! Manila Mart is definitely an underrated gem. 126/2017

I recently saw Nicki K. posting a pictures of the Halo Halo dessert from here and she graciously informed me it was from Manila Mart so I visited the same day. I'm a big dessert fan so I have always wanted to try Halo Halo and man I was not disappointed. One Halo Halo is going to cost you $4.50 but the tastes and texture of this dessert was so worth it. When i first saw it, I was just going to eat the purple yam ice cream on top and then work my way down but the worker there informed me to mix everything before eating it and it was definitely the correct way of eating it since the tastes and texture was so refreshing and surprisingly. Every bite was a surprise and I love it. Manila Mart's Halo Halo have the following in it: -shaved ice -Flan -Crispy Cereal -Different kind of sweet beans -Jelly -Purple yam ice cream Overall, I would definitely recommend this place. :)

This is for the Halo Halo dessert I had! Make sure to mix it up beforehand. Parking - A huge lot all around the entire building. You'll easily find one. Since this is a Mart - you'll have to ask the guy up front if you want the Halo Halo. I think he's the one who makes it. Very nice guy. There are a few tables for you to sit if interested in dining in. You can also look around the entire Mart to see what they they have. If I knew how to make Filipino food, I'd come here for all my ingredients. Looks very clean & well kept. Note: I have no idea what's in Halo Halo. Halo Halo - It's... 4.50? Unsure. But around there. Comes in a big to go cup. I don't know how much these normally costs but I thought it was worth the price. It's so good & the portion is pretty generous. Nomnom. It also looks pretty cool - from the to go cup view. Taste wise - I remember it's just like the Halo Halo I had when I was in college at UGA and attended FSA's events. I didn't realize Manila Mart sold Halo Halo till recently. I'll be back during summer probably when I crave Halo Halo!

We ordered our food at the counter and to our surprise, the food was actually reasonably price for bengladeshi food. Our total came up around $60 for three people and we still had food remaining. A couple things I didn't like: They used paper plates which I find was not presentable especially with this type of cuisine since some of our dishes were saucey. I also didn't like how they gave us the rice in one paper plate. They should've given us rice in individual bowls. Also the sauces for the chicken samosas lacked flavor and was too liquidy They also used a lot of oil in their cooking. What we ordered: three chicken samosas, chicken tikka masala, goat curry, chicken roast, garlic naan, and lamb biriyani Our favorite dish was the goat curry. It was very flavorful and had the perfect amount of spice that kind of just sneaks up on you. Chicken tikka masala was also great if you like it in the sweeter side. I also felt like it could be creamier. The lamb biriyani was okay but it had the most oil on the plate. Least favorite was the chicken roast. I thought it was going to be like a bbq type of chicken but it turns out that it's just a really saucey dish. Sadly, I didn't really like the flavor of it. Overall, I think that ZamZam is worth visiting again but I will probably only order to-go instead of dining in. I really liked how the food was reasonably priced.

!!!!What a horrible and disgusting service. Horrible customer service and they give your food away…read moreto other clients!!! I placed two orders over a week ago. I get an email late last week saying that my order is going to be ready for pick up on a date but fails to provide the date. I called yesterday at 11:52 am to confirm when I can pick up. The lady on the phone said my order was in fact ready for today but because of very bizarre business hours (7-2) I asked if I can pick up on Wednesday morning instead. She said yes no problem. Today I get a phone call (1:20pm) and I called back a few minutes later (1:23pm) as I was in between patients. The lady on the phone, KAYLA, told me that my order was incomplete and had out of stock items. I whispered back, as I was in the clinic, saying I'm confused why my order was complete yesterday but not today. I followed up by saying as a customer it is concerning to me that it seems like my food is being given to other priority clients. KAYLA responded "I do not know" and I said well that's not reassuring to hear as a client. Typically, if a client is skeptical of this grave practice, they would be reassured that the ethics and values of this company does not practice this. However, it was not denied. KAYLA seemed frazzled and said I just got your paper and I said I can't be on the phone anymore please email me with update. I asked if I can still show up tomorrow for pickup and she said yes. I specifically said thank you and have a good day. Six minutes later I get a missed call with a disgustingly toned voicemail (attached below) saying "... let me just say this I do not appreciate you being rude or insulting Any one of my stuff that will not work with us...". I also receive an email regarding the out of stock items. I respond to the email as I was in clinic saying the situation and how I simply had a question and concern that my items were being given to other priority clients. I explained how I was not being rude or never ever insulted someone. I couldn't even raise my voice as I was whispering. I never even complained about the actual items being out of stock. I am appalled that I even received such voicemail. Then, instead of apologizing or offering any type of customer support, PETER was implying that he was able to hear my conversation. Which great!! Because I truly am confused since I was not rude nor insulting anyone. Additionally, how is peter able to hear my conversation if I was whispering? He also apologizes "if that is the case" that someone said my order was ready for pickup today. Why if that is the case? Why are you questioning the client??? Regardless, the concerning part is that he doesn't even apologize to me for leaving such email AND DOESNT EVEN DENY OR ADDRESS MY CONCERN OF THEM GIVING AWAY MY FOOD TO OTHER CLIENTS!! I am still waiting for an apology and for a clarification on this. But I guess no answer is an answers and confirmation that they do. I then respond to their email confirming the substitution and that I will be there tomorrow morning as planned and as per the confirmation via phone today. Then I get a response saying not to come pickup tomorrow until confirmed??? They're truly a mess and don't know what they're saying on the phone and what they're emailing either. Side note, their website advertises that they deliver to my zip code. When asked over the phone and in person, they say no?? They have disgusting customer service and to be honest it's sooooo sketchy and weird place. It's a warehouse you have to go pick up at in the middle of no where. No thank you!! Taking my business elsewhere!! Peter- per your email, if you really appreciated my business is this how you respond or treat a customer? Especially a new one??
