As someone who grew up in Vietnam, The Bep Teahouse brought back so many childhood memories. It felt like taking a trip home through food and drinks. The sugar cane juice tasted just like the fresh nước mía from the street vendors in Vietnam--sweet, refreshing, and so nostalgic. The soursop tea was packed with real fruit flavor, and the avocado smoothie was rich, creamy, and made with real avocado instead of tasting overly sweet. We also ordered the rice paper salad, fresh paper roll-ups, and the adorable kitty paw waffles. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and reminded me of the snacks I grew up eating. It's not just another boba shop--they've done a great job bringing authentic Vietnamese flavors to Duluth. The staff was friendly, the space was clean and inviting, and it's a perfect place to catch up with friends or satisfy a craving for Vietnamese drinks and snacks. If you're Vietnamese and missing a taste of home, or if you've never experienced these flavors before, I highly recommend stopping by The Bep Teahouse. I've given this place two chances, and unfortunately it's just okay. The biggest disappointment is that the drinks taste very artificial. Nothing tasted particularly fresh, and even the dessert was underwhelming. I ordered a bingsu based on the menu photo, which looked like it came in a generous-sized bowl. Instead, it was served in a small Styrofoam cup. On top of that, almost everything that normally comes with bingsu, including the syrup and fruit; was an additional charge, which made it feel overpriced for what you receive. The first time we visited, we were looking for a late-night dessert spot after dinner. The photos online looked inviting, so we decided to give it a try. However, when we walked in, it was extremely hot inside. I felt like I was sitting in the streets of Vietnam. There were portable A/C units and fans running, so I'm assuming they were having air conditioning issues. We returned a second time, and thankfully the temperature was much more comfortable, so it seems that problem had been resolved. The café itself also felt a bit cluttered and not as clean as I expected, especially for a newer business. The restrooms were another letdown. I accidentally walked in on someone because the bathroom doors don't automatically lock behind you. There are signs reminding customers to lock the door, but it's easy to see how people would assume it since you have to use a code to enter. But because there's a code you have to use a second lock to manually lock the doors. The only reason I'm giving it two stars instead of one is because they're open late, which is convenient since most other tea and dessert shops are closed by then. Unfortunately, the quality of the drinks, desserts, and overall experience would not warrant need to come back. Only the reason we did was because nothing else is open late. Really wanted to like this place as a new late night hangout. read more

I've had the soursop fruit tea at the Bep Teahouse in Houston, and it was really unique and tasty at the time. When I saw that there was another location in Duluth, Georgia, I was curious if the tea was the same. I'm happy to say that the soursop fruit tea lived up to my expectations. Tangy and sweet with whole soursop chunks. I'm looking forward to my next visit soon! Pros: Same great taste with plenty of fresh fruit for the fruit teas. Great value and not too expensive. Cons: Drinks are a bit sweet even for the 50% sweetness that I usually get at boba shops. I'd probably go for 25% sweetness during my next visit. read more

I've tried the Jamaica sunrise and honey citron kumquat tea. Both were great and refreshing. The menu is quite extensive and easily overwhelming. It took me forever to narrow down my choice. I love the variety because I can keep coming back and trying new things but my goodness there's just sooo many options that I was stuck in analysis paralysis. My 2nd visit it took 23 minutes to get two drinks, the honey citron kumquat tea and a not well blended coffee drink. There were still large chunks of ice. The wait was kind of ridiculous. I like that they changed up the decor and offer bunch of claw machines. It's a very casual place with plenty of seating. read more

The food was ok. I got the fresh spring rolls. They were in a bit of a rush so they tore and there are only 4 tiny pieces of shrimp in the rolls. My drink was good but hard to decide because you can't find a list of ingredients under the drinks or listed anywhere so you have to ask about each drink if you want to know what's in them. You also can't order passionfruit by itself unless it's lemon. Certain things on the menu can't be ordered on the machines. Service was a bit rushed but polite. Ambiance was a hang out vibe and you'll take what you can get at 12am when bubble tea places are closed. read more

Tried The Bep Teahouse on a beautiful Saturday afternoon so of course it was quite crowded. Staff was working really hard to make drinks so the wait, although long, wasn't horrible. Both teas were not worth the wait unfortunately. The matcha crème brûlée was so disappointing. Although really pretty, the taste was just not there. The peach & mango bubble tea was way too sweet with even 50% sugar, making it hard to drink. The cup sizes are good given it's about $7+ per tea but I don't think we would return. read more

I've been to the Bep in other states and it was good. Maybe this location is still new. We ordered 2 of the same drink and they look different and taste different. They have a large selection and everything looks delicious. I will have to wait a few more months to give this location a try again when I'm back in the area. Large shop and great place for late night boba tea . Saturday night they close at 1am Royal fresh coco - Same drink but not consistent. Looks and taste different . Measurements for ingredients needs to be the same for all orders. This is one of my favorite drinks to order when I go to Bep in other states. read more

Been here a few times since it opened in Duluth. Owner and staff are pretty cool. Nice to see more vietnamese style cafes/tea shops open. The menu covers a lot of the staple drinks you see at most tea shops but what stands out here are there specialty vietnamese drinks and street foods. Really like the soursop tamarind drink as well as the artichoke drink I have tried so far have been great. The spring rolls street snack and rice paper salad is really good too. Highly recommend all of the stuff I had. Definitely will go back but the parking lot sucks there during peak hours. I like how they open early 10AM so it's easy to stop by and get stuff before the crowds fill up the lot. Great experience overall! read more

Stopped in on Day 1 of soft open. This is the second shop from The Bep Teahouse located in the old Moge Tee spot. Furniture and walls are different but behind the counter looks almost the same. They did a better job of utilizing the indoor space by putting in an island that seats 12 all the way around where there was this empty space when Moge was here. Lots of couches and tables in addition means this place is setup for hanging out, not just grabbing something to go. Ordering is easy. They have a cashier and 4 Chowbus kiosks. I thought that was an excessive number but all of them were occupied while I was there. The manager was checking up on everyone to make sure ordering was going smoothly. The menu is packed so you'll be scrolling on the kiosk for a while to get to the bottom. They're having 20% off during the soft opening. I ordered the original Thai Tea Red with Coffee Jelly with 75% sugar. Good flavor and not too sweet. Prices are reasonable for the size. Guest wifi is available. Ask the staff for the password. Overall a great experience and it seems like everything was running smoothly considering how busy it was. I counted 15 people while there which isn't too surprising considering how packed the shopping center is on a Saturday night. I miss Moge Tee but The Bep Teahouse is a worthy replacement. If you're looking for a cool place with a lot of variety give The Bep Teahouse a try. read more

This is disappointing considering they have another location that has been opened for years. You would think that they know how to cook the boba by now.
