Boba Mocha!! I was in the area and I wanted to get a Matcha so I just googled a few matcha places that was close by and this place popped up. I said let me just try it. Upon entry, you can see in my photos below. I took a few still shots of how the inside looks and the venue that's on the wall as well as the menu that is at the counter. The location actually looks like it's a family run business because School was pretty much out and the owner did have her two kids. Also deal with her which is perfectly fine. I'm a mom as well. The owner did go ahead and explain the menu. I wanted a strawberry Matcha I received that and it was really good. The only mistake I did when I was trying my Matcha is I forgot to shake it as you can see in the picture there if I could seal top, I forgot to shake it so all of my strawberries were at the bottom, which was fine. I just mixed it around and I drank it Overall, I get this location of five out of five. My Matcha was really good. I truly enjoyed it. I first visited this place about 4 years ago, and frankly, I wasn't too impressed. The place is quaint and cozy...but I think I was put off by the inadequate air conditioning? Anyway, I decided to give it another try...and so glad I did! I noticed that they offered a "Split Cup", where you can try 2 different flavors! LOVED that concept!! I also noticed that unlike some tea bars in Duluth, their teas were more modestly priced. Plus, they had an extensive menu of foods as well. I chose Green Tea w/ Boba on one side, and the Taro w/ Lychee Jelly on the other...and thoroughly enjoyed the 2 flavors. If I had to pick, I loved their Taro flavor more. Wow, this was a popular find! My daughter wanted some boba tea, so I checked Yelp for a new spot to try, and this looked promising. We walked in and got to meet the owner. He was so personable. He was making jokes the whole time we were there, and was super friendly. He told us he had established a spot in the Mall of Georgia, but it was bought out by a more mainstream food vendor. I think that's a really cool idea to have a boba tea spot inside a mall, so I hope he can find somewhere else to set up shop. This place isn't fancy, but who needs frills? I just need a good boba tea. My daughter always gets the Thai milk tea with boba, and hold up...what? My boyfriend got his wish because they had protein for the smoothies!! Wow! I always make fun of him because he goes anywhere and everywhere asking for protein, and they never have it at places like this, but here we are with whey protein add ins! I've been a customer of Boba Mocha for years now and I have always enjoyed my tea and food from here. Every time it's been consistently delicious and service is great. Mango green tea with boba is my go to drink and it's just enough sweet and the bubbles you can taste it was marinated well in in a sugar syrup and they are chewy. I also get the Taiwanese nuggets and it's a nice portion size. Super crunchy/crispy and fresh tasting. They have expanded their menu for more drinks and lots of food options throughout the years and I need to try more things. It's a nice place to sit and work with wifi before the pandemic and hopefully it'll open up soon for dining again so you can stay longer. read more

I do love coming here with the hubby. He likes the massive size you can get and his go to is the Thai tea. I usually go with a house milk tea. But what makes this place awesome is the owner, who is there 99% of the time and 100% of the time in a good mood, smiling from ear to ear and just super hospitable. He seems like he treats his staff really well and is always welcoming when we come. The food that I've tried so far has been good although I thought at first their variety of dishes was super random lol but hey they do it well! It came with a super small amount of regular boba. I would come back more often but with all the other boba tea spots, I can get more for my money. 5 stars for service, but 3 stars for the food. I used to come here a lot in high school (it was a popular hang out spot back then) so I always love to come back. The manager is always incredibly nice, and there's a variety of board games you can play! They have a stamp card system so if you get a lot of drinks, you can get any drink off the menu, any size (I still had my stamp cards from high school lol). I ordered the Earl grey milk tea, though it seemed watery/there wasn't much flavor. Also, I recommend regular boba over brown sugar since you don't get a lot of the brown sugar and you don't get that satisfying texture. They have a huge variety of drinks though (this is only the second place I've been to that's had Earl Grey milk tea!) I also ordered the bakmi chicken noodle which was very salty (I even asked my Indonesian mom to try some when I got home, and she agreed, so I promise my taste buds aren't too Americanized lol). Overall, food/drink wise isn't the best, but I had to give it 4 stars because the service (particularly the manager) and the fact that there was entrees AND the wide variety of drinks makes it worth it to come back! read more

For 2 years I've been a regular customer, so much that I received gift cards for Boba Mocha on Christmas. My last 2 visits are likely my last. Their prices went up and the quality went down. After having one poorly made drink, I figured they had a bad day and tried again. Bad idea. What I received was not my drink. I drove halfway home and went back to have it remade, I figured they mixed my drink up with the family behind me. The cashier and the person making the drinks were rude and argumentative. They said they wouldn't do anything since I drank some of it...it was a $7 drink, and I drove all the way back, apparently to mooch them out of 1 ounce of bubble tea. After asking for a refund I was told I had to wait until the person making the drinks was done serving everyone because the cashier doesn't know how to do it. They eventually issued a partial refund and kept the tip amount. So after making a bad drink, having to wait while the drink maker made drinks for an entire family that came in after me, driving back and asking for it to be remade, being argued with, they wanted to keep the tip. They still taste good but they raised grande drinks from 4.65 to 5.99 and instead of three toppings, you only get 2. Also, now the different flavors are different price points. I should've taken a new pic of the menu but I was too busy just trying to figure out what to get since the menu is entirely different now. At least they're still doing the stamps. I've had the lavender milk tea, white chocolate milk tea, Rose milk tea, mango green tea, kiwi green tea and possibly a few others. My favorite so far is rose. To the extent that despite the fact that I was having about 15 different Bubble Teas in one day (of which this was to be the 4th, I think), I ended up ordering 3 different things here because my initial mango drink (which she recommended) was so delicious. This is a wonderful little cafe, with some of the best customer service skills in Georgia. They make it a real point to make sure you like what you get, and if you don't, they keep making it for you until you do. They have signs all over the place to remind you of these facts, and they will remind you verbally too. And she just likes people and knows how to be genuinely friendly. I feel like eve if the Moch Ness Monster came in here, they'd be super friendly. As for the products, they're great. It isn't the best Bubble Tea I've ever had, but then again I'm extremely picky about it, and for me to say it's good or great means a lot. The products are made with love and you can taste it. There aren't any Bubble tea shops this good in Ohio or Mochigan. They're also significantly cheaper than a lot of the bubble tea shops around and about. Even Atlanta bubble tea is kind of pricy (especially the best one, which is Honey Bubble near Midtown), but this one is not. I say "Even Atlanta" because it's not exactly the Bubble Tea capital of the world. That would be Cali, NYC, and Houston! You'd never get service like this at MochDonald's though. Many customers seem to overlook this store for what it is. Boba Mocha is a small business owned by a kind religious man and operated with the help of his family and endearing staff. I discovered this place totally by accident looking for absolutely anything after going out for ramen and a haul of sushi ingredients at the H-Mart down the street. Close to two years has passed, my humor and gratitude toward this shop extends well beyond the food and beverages they have to offer. I've seen the Coronavirus Lockdown days of the shop with the nephew and boxes around the shop. I've seen where it is now. I've seen good days, bad days, new staff, and old staff. I've seen it in the opening hours and at 11 at night. Despite ordering near a hundred times, miraculously i've never gotten a bad order or the wrong order with ever changing staff. As a incoming college freshman with normal spending and investing habits I'd that anyone turned off by the appearance or price right now won't ever understand what it took for this business to grow. Individuals won't understand that quality isn't determined from one shared negative experience. Seeing rent, utilities, material costs, ingredient costs, and interest rates for mortgages on homes all go up; it makes sense for the owner of a small business taking care of his family and staff, with ambitions to expand, to choose to raise prices. The prices aren't terrible compared to other shops and big chains. Boba chains take advantage of younger customers to offer a smaller size drink than what you can get here, there's more for your money at Boba Mocha. No one ever needs to tell Ken how to run his business because I'd say he's doing fine. Variety is a lovely thing. Never go into a shop that sells mainly drinks and expect perfection on some food that appeals few that may be craving something with their beverage. On such a big menu take a shot in the dark, you may find something you enjoy or maybe dislike. Don't attack it because it's there. An overwhelming majority of their Tea, Coffee, and Smoothies i've discovered blow away big chains like Gong Cha, Sweet Hut, and Pearls in not just price, but taste as-well. Shopfronts in the Bay Area around UC Berkeley and those in Manhattan on W 54th somehow struggle to convince me that they come anywhere close to what this small shop in Duluth, Georgia has to offer. Ken, as an owner offered up visors that we originally wanted for our sports' senior nights as a joke for free. No questions what so ever, he's offered up the idea of franchising with little hesitation to a stranger. He's talked business struggles that no one ever hopes to deal with. When I bring friends here on a bad day even, they say they've had better... yet I always find them coming back with me a second time saying it's the best they've ever had. I'll certainly miss coming to the shop often with my friends and sometimes family. I always wish nothing but the best for Ken and his family. There's some strange charm in the appearance of pandas on the wall and how Times New Roman font looks on a wood panel. Never take for granted the years it took for this shop to get to where it is now so that it can take flak from someone having a bad day. Stamp cards are definitely a win!
