This was a good time very clean shop with options for everyone, freshly baked goods line the cases. My citron ice tea was exactly what was needed for a hot day and the matcha was so refreshing. Plenty of seating indoors and outside for those that want some rays of sun. Clean bathrooms and mirrors galore. I enjoyed the visit

Really nice bakery cafe right next to the Hmart in Duluth. The bread and cakes all look amazing, but are a little bit on the pricy end. I got a strawberry iced tea, which was really good but a little too sweet for my taste. It also came with popping boba which surprised me. Overall, the vibes are nice, so this would be a nice place to do work or chat with friends.

Blinds to protect from too much sun.

Always one of my favorite Korean bakeries! And of course, the coffee is always good. They also have a discount baked goods in a little area. Nothing wrong with them, just baked previous day I think. Quiet on a Saturday thank goodness! Nice place to get a drink, buy some yummies, and relax for a minute.

When I visit new places, I always seek something unique--whether it's exceptional service, distinctive flavors, or memorable interior design. Unfortunately, nothing really stood out about this bakery except its convenience. It feels like one of those spots you go to simply because it's nearby, rather than for any remarkable qualities.

I've been here many times and it never disappoints. The variety of Korean pastries is vast, filled with different flavors and texture galore. The interior is cozy and welcoming ~ you'll want to stick around for a little if you're visiting. Things you should know: I. LOCATION Within the HMart plaza (off to the right). There's free private parking out front ~ very easy. II. SERVICE Friendly. They'll greet you as soon as you walk in the door. III. QUALITY They bake fresh pastries everyday, making the crunchy texture in the streusel bread perfect. I like this business because they have a 30% off section; this minor detail is nice because it proves the cafe only displays fresh pastries in the aisles and that they don't waste older ones by throwing them in the trash. Also liked that they have a section with books for customers to read as they sip coffee. IV. CAPACITY Slow in the early morning but by mid-morning the seats start to really fill up.

Before we left Atlanta to go back home to Jacksonville, we decided to stop by one last Asian pastry shop. I've been here a few years ago and didn't remember much of how things tasted but I'm so happy we came back! The shop was very cozy upon walking in and the customer service was great!! We went early in the morning so they were just finishing up baking some sausage and pizza/cheese buns! The lady at the register was pleasant, sweet, and cheerful, unlike other Asian bakeries that we've been to, where the customer service was lacking. I believe this is a Korean bakery. We bought a few things to try: Sausage bun: 8/10 - this was my husband's rating as it was his choice of pastry. He loves savory pastries more than sweet ones. He finished it in literally 5 minutes! He said it was really really delicious. Mochi bun with red bean: 10/10 - Out of all the buns I've tried this past weekend, this was my favorite one! The slight crispy edges of the bun married with the mochi/red bean filling was everything that I wanted and more! The pastry itself wasn't too sweet and I loved the consistency of the filling. The filling was I believe, red bean wrapped around a layer of mochi and it had that signature mochi stretch. I would definitely come back for this pastry, over and over again. Melon bun: 9/10 - I bought this for a friend back home and he said that was his favorite pastry out of all the ones I got him. He had no complaints. I can't rate on the flavor though as I haven't tried it. Rating is purely on his thoughts. Sopporo cream bun: 8.0/10 - again, I didn't get to try this one but my husband had it for breakfast the following day and it must have been great because he ate and left no crumbs. Pizza and cheese bun: 8/7/10 - I loved this one! It tasted exactly like I was eating a pizza but in a bun form. The flavors reminded me of an extra cheese pizza. Curry Croquette: 9/10 - What a delicious bun! Japanese curry is one of my favorite dishes and this tasted exactly like that! I love the umami flavor and found myself enjoying and savory each and every little bite. If you don't like the taste or smell curry, then I wouldn't get this bun as the flavor and spices could be strong for you. I love a kick in your face kind of flavor when it comes to curries and this one exceeded my expectations. They have other goodies you can purchase too like dalgona candy. We got a dalgona candy to put in our latte at home! They also have a cafe items such as coffees, refreshers, cold brews, lattes, etc. I'll come back and try the cafe items when I'm back in the area for sure! Definitely a solid Asian bakery to check out and I would say that out of the bakeries that I tried, this one will have to be my top 1. My rankings so far on the bakeries would be: 1). Tree Story 2). White Windmill 3). Sweet Hut 4). Mozart

This is always a pit stop when I visit Duluth. Not only does this bakery house a HUGE selection of impressive pastries and drinks, it's super-comfy...just a great place to hang out! Again, I grabbed several pastries while here (mostly to take back home with me)...and this time, I also ordered a hot Green Latte. My disappointment came when this Matcha Latte was placed in a paper cup, instead of an actual coffee cup, complete with cafe art. Not sure if they gave up the coffee cups or the cafe art (like before in the past?)...but it just wasn't impressive. Luckily, the Matcha Latte tasted great. Still, for the lackluster presentation of the Matcha Latte, am docking a star. Just hoping they'll pick that back up in the future. Also, although the selection was still big, I noticed an incomplete display this time around. Maybe because I stopped in too early (around 9:30 amish?), but I ws thinking they'd have more, not less, at this early time of day. Guess for the first time ever, this was a tad disappointing of a visit. Still, it won't deter me from re-visiting...as this is probably in my Top 3 bakeries to visit while in Duluth. Still though, I was thinking, if this bakery was in Charlotte, NC, for instance, it would have been a bonafide 5-stars...but there are SO many premium bakeries in Duluth, this place isn't even 5 stars. WOW. Yes, even as a traveler in Duluth, I'm a bit spoiled with bakeries at this point.

I ordered a coffee and bought a bread. She told me the total $9.05 and right before I swiped it, it said $10.86! I checked my receipt and she added a tip and didn't think I would notice. My friend ordered the same coffee and she didn't do it to her. So dishonest. Check your receipts. I will never come back. Thanks Julia S!

Cute little Korean bakery next to Hmart. They have a nice assortment of breads, pastries, coffes/teas. They even have a freezer with King of Pops popsicles. Excellent service.

I've been to Tree Story Bakery & Cafe several times. This spacious Korean bakery has a wide selection of coffee, teas, and pastries. Unfortunately, I just haven't absolutely loved any particular beverages or baked items. This last time, I ordered the Jujube Tea, which had a sweet-tart flavor.

If you're looking for traditional Korean bakery treats, Tree Story has it! They have such a wide arrangement of breads, buns, cakes, macarons, and drinks. I loaded up on buns to last me the rest of my trip. They had both sweet and savory options. It's self serve which could be dangerous, but they do display the prices so you know how much damage you're doing. This is a great spot with so many restaurants around and an H Mart for shopping nearby. Do yourself a favor and try it!

When I opened the omurice, the rich egg and cheese aroma covered the entire dish, and every spoonful of rice was full of flavor. The sweet and tangy fried chicken skewers were also delicious. I also tried their mandu (beef dumplings) -- juicy and full of savory flavor. The second time, I ordered the Alfredo pasta, which had a strong creamy aroma and an addictive white sauce flavor. The only downside was the portion -- it was a bit small and disappeared too quickly!

Surprisingly, craving this got me to come back a second time. The Fire Chicken Omelette Ramen had the same presentation, but Buddok ramen instead of sushi rice. Disappointing, because I could have just made Buddok ramen at home. The Schewan noodles were not spicy nor tasty. Takoyaki was good, on a bed of potato fries. Would order again. For the Beef Bulgogi Cheese Fries, the bulgogi is good, the fries are not. These fries are from the frozen section at Costco, make no mistake. They are bland, 2/5 star fries. Even if the bulgogi was on top of better fries, the bulgogi is dry and the cheese on it isn't melty or saucy, so the fries and the topping don't mix together well. Just a pile of dry food.

The Second Level / Upper Floor is reserved for if you are going to be ordering/dining in for the pastas and/or savory foods. I only tried their coffee today on the first level. I did go upstairs to check it out and did see a bunch of people upstairs just sitting and chilling on their laptops with their coffees/drinks; so they may not really enforce their "reserved for pasta dining only" rule. Not sure. Ambiance (First Level / First Floor) - clean, nice, laid-back, chill, cool environment. Casual setting. Cool architecture, design, layout, and decor. Can get loud inside as ceilings are high and can get echo-y, especially if there are alot of people. Also, there is music constantly playing in background. Service (First Level / First Floor) - customer service was quick and straightforward. They were nice and polite. A+. No complaints here. Coffee (First Level / First Floor) - tried their "Korean Iced Coffee" for $7.25. It was one size only and one price at $7.25. It was delicious. Almost similar tasting to a Vietnamese coffee in my opinion (both are delicious). That strong, brewed coffee flavor with this delicious milky, sweetened condensed milk taste. I am not exactly sure if they used sweetened condensed milk in the Korean iced coffee, but it sure does taste similar to it. It's quite good. Also had a "Large Hazelnut Hot Coffee" with creamer for $5.95. It was okay. Total with tax for the two drinks was $13.99. Keep in mind that the WiFi is on your receipt as a QR Code at the bottom. So if you want to use the WiFi, ask for the receipt and/or keep the receipt so that you can scan the QR Code in order to use the WiFi. There was no password on the receipt, only a QR Code that you need to scan. Overall - Yes I would recommend this place for a nice little coffee stop. Check it out for yourself. Enjoy!

I've tried a variety of their drinks, and my go-to is the Strawberry Earl Grey latte. It's SO GOOD. Nothing is overly sweet, and the tea flavor really shines. They have a little punch card, where your 10th drink is free, and the owner is so nice! There's waves of people coming and going, but it's not constantly super packed like other places. Service: On my first visit I was offered a stamp card. 10 stamps, and your next item is free. The owner is always there and is very welcoming and polite, but it's only for the sake of business. It's not genuine friendliness or care for customers. When I picked up my PSL, I immediately noticed the cup was too light. I ordered a large and there was at least 1.5 inches of space between the fill line and the rim of the cup. Why pay extra for a large if I'm getting served a small? Given that the drink was prepared by the cafe owner herself, I would have been embarrassed to serve a customer such a drink. My other complaint is that I'd visited 3 times in the past two weeks, sat in the cafe for at 3+ hours each time, and was in a rush to attend a important zoom meeting, and planned to order after my meeting was over. 30 mins in, I was actively speaking on the video call when the cafe owner interrupted me to say that I couldn't sit without ordering a drink. So many parts of me want to justify her behavior, maybe she's anxious about the cafe not making enough money - but given that she has seen me before and I was actively speaking - that rubbed me the wrong way. I was beginning to feel comfortable at the cafe but that moment made me hesitant to return. If this hadn't happened, I would have considered this a 5/5 star establishment and found a go-to study spot.
