My family went in for some quick drinks after lunch. There was no line and we got to try the orange tea sample. It's super cute inside. I love the decor. I tried the dong ding oolong tea with boba and it was sooo perfect. My sister tried the honey osmanthus with crystal boba and she said she should've gotten boba instead! Their boba is perfect texture and flavorful!
This place was absolutely packed when we went on a random weekday! The ambiance and service are great (they were giving out samples of black tea with cream, which was nice). We tried a few drinks: - Bubble Volcano: Pretty classic black sugar boba tea, perfect amount of sweetness. - Creamy Lemon Tart: Refreshing, but we couldn't really make out the tea flavor, and it pretty much tasted like lemonade. The cream on top of the drink also didn't really mix through the drink (we tried). - Dong Ding Tea Latte: Good overall, though we could appreciate the tea flavor more before mixing. I think if we go again, we might try the fruit teas to really get a better understanding of the tea quality. There is a parking lot in the front. 6.5/10 would maybe recommend for now.

I prefer my teas less sweet and you can customize the sweetness and ice levels. I went with 1/4 sweet milk tea. I could have that drink several times a week. Yum! The size of the shop is a bit on the small side and when it's busy there isn't a lot of space to relax. The price is on par for what you get. Highly recommended.
Ahhh the popular Chicha San Chen! This place gets quite crowded and pretty difficult to find parking so prepare yourself to roam around for a few to find a spot. Went during the weekend and there a huge line. The cafe is cute and small. Has very modern aesthetic interior. They give you a sample at the register of their seasonal teas and the Mango Tea was absolutely delicious! I ended up getting Mango Cream. Absolutely in love! They are restrictive in their substitution for their signature drinks. Overall I recommend and will be going on a slower day!
Okay, so in terms of best Boba I've ever had. This is definitely up there! I didn't believe the hype until I went in myself! AND WOW! The texture of boba is exactly what is should be! Not mushy, but melts in your mouth! The quality of the milk tea was outstanding! Our servers walked us through the menu and gave great suggestions. They often have samples to try as well Smells great when you enter. There's quite a bit of space to sit, but can sometimes get packed.
The tea here has such a rich flavor and tastes incredibly well brewed, not watered down like a lot of places. It feels very true to traditional milk tea. The brown sugar boba is insanely chewy with the perfect texture, and honestly no other spot does it like them. My go-to is the Dong Ding Oolong with cream, with boba added.

Instead of using coffee espresso machines, they use a "tea presso" to extract the tea perfectly and turn it into smooth, delicious milk tea. They even have a tea experience station where you can try different teas and learn more about the brewing process--it's a really cool touch! If you get a chance, definitely check this place out. It's a fresh take on bubble tea that tea lovers will appreciate. But I think Chagee is my first choice and Molly second their tea is more fragrance

I'm surprised it has taken me so long to try Chicha San Chen! I've always heard about them from friends and social media but never took the time to try but I'm so glad I stopped by today. I was stumped on what I wanted to try so I asked the employee for recommendations. She mentioned that the Bubble Milk Tea is their top seller, so that's what I went with. The drink was so cute when it came out with the handle! The boba was fresh, warm, and had a subtle sweetness that I loved. It paired nicely with the milk tea, which was light and not sweet. I really enjoyed it! Even my boyfriend, who doesn't like tea-forward milk teas, liked it too. I'll definitely be bringing him along next time. The aesthetic of the shop is also gorgeous. I loved all the little details--from the baristas' outfits to the tea bar setup and wall decorations. Everything felt thoughtfully designed and very picturesque. I'll definitely be coming back for another Bubble Milk Tea, and next time I want to try something from the Grape Series since I love Asian grape flavors. Looking forward to it! read more
Chicha San Chen may now be contending for my favorite boba spot. I'm a loyal Sunright Tea Studio fan but my friend and fellow Yelp Elite told me their classic black milk tea is perfect in all ways. During our recent road trip to Atlanta, I got it as is with the perfect sugar. It wasn't too sweet, the tea and milk went together so well, and the boba itself was chewy and the perfect texture. Safe to say, I'm a fan! If anyone is visiting Georgia/Atlanta/Duluth and looking for the best boba, I highly recommend Chicha. There was convenient parking, and their samples were great, too. Good seating and a clean bathroom as well. No notes. read more

I finally got to try this place and it was AMAZING!! Compared to other boba spots, this one tastes truly authentic. You can actually taste the freshness of the tea it doesn't have that powdery flavor at all. Probably one of the best oolong milk teas I've ever had! read more

High quality tea, friendly staff, beautiful interior. There's a good reason why Chicha San Chen's tea has won many recognitions. Came here on a Friday afternoon and the place wasn't super busy, thankfully. Didn't really know what to get, but they featured a sample drink, which I tried, and was immediately sold on. We were able to order and get our drinks in a few minutes. Super refreshing and a nice treat to have on a hot day. read more

Idk if it's because I went kinda late, but my tea was so watered down. I saw them brew it and then it got shaken with the ice, but when they poured the tea most of the tea got thrown away.. not sure if that's how it's suppose to be, but very disappointed. read more
I am a SUCKER for boba spots. Always looking for the hype. I've seen a massive hype in NYC with this one and they opened an ATL spot! Let's check it out. The place is small, clean and spacious, probably cause it's ALWAYS PACKED. The line went by fast and the sweet Linh helped us making a choice. I got the Osmanthus Oolong tea with coconut lychee. AMAZING. Great flavors great combination. All around super good. Will be back!!! read more

Maybe the best tea I've ever had. I got the honey osmanthus oolong and got it lightly sweetened with regular ice and boba. The flavor is SO good and complex without being too sweet and the boba added a good texture. I love the atmosphere of the shop, it's bright and relaxing. I love that they brew the tea to order. They also had samples of a green tea for us to taste which was also fantastic. I can't wait to go back and try other drinks! read more
I have never been to a boba shop where they brew the tea freshly for each order. My milk tea was vastly superior to any other boba drink due to this fact alone. They also offer you samples of their seasonal items. Extra stars for the immaculate and aesthetically pleasing interior. read more

My friend and I checked this tea house out and it was pretty good. They use real tea to brew their drinks and their menu is quite broad of flavors, I personally found it overwhelming to choose. Definitely need to be back next time to try out the other flavors. They also brew it on the spot in front of you, so you can stand behind the glass and watch them make your order. It was a pretty unique experience and different from other tea houses I've been to. Staff were friendly and there were plenty of seats. Loved their interior design and decor! Definitely a cozy tea spot to relax. read more

Beautifully appointed bubble tea store with state of the art tea machines brewing fresh tea for each customer! Everyone working there was so professional and kind. Drinks were delicious and you could really taste the freshness and quality. The mango green tea was not too sweet and the boba was perfectly chewy. The bubble milk tea made with black tea was worth a try as well. Overall affordable at $7.50 a drink! read more
I've been to the Austin location, so I already know Chicha San Chen is a high quality spot, but I'm still impressed every time. I've never seen this place without a line, but it moves pretty quickly. Even with them giving out the free tea samples, I almost didn't have my order ready by the time I got to the front of the line. While I know Chicha to have really good quality milk teas that are super flavorful and creamy, I decided to try some of their fruit teas. I think it's already hard for most places to do a good fruit tea, because most places taste so artificial. And then it's even harder to pull off orange and lemon flavors. But Chicha does it so well! The flavors come through so well without being too citrusy or tart. I was especially impressed with the creamy lemon tart. It was undeniably lemon but it was also so mild and pleasant. I've been here a handful of times, and I've always meant to give this place a 5. I just love their honey osmanthus oolong tea (with boba) so much! I'm only ever in the area during the weekends, and I try not to limit myself to Duluth, but the tea here calls me back. It's usually pretty busy during the weekends too, and I've had to wait maybe 5-10 minutes in line before ordering. That's not too bad compared to when they first opened, but it is a bit crowded with the way the line can block the door. It's not particularly large enough to handle the crowd and has limited seating, but that goes to show how popular and great the tea here is! Considering the price point and one size option they sell their teas at, the fact they have so many returning customers speaks to the quality and taste of the tea here. The complimentary tea tasting is quite nice. If you manage to catch them holding it, it's worth trying, especially if you're a tea enjoyer! It'll help narrow down the tea you want to take home and brew yourself... and that's what led to me writing a review now. With the influx of people, they've hired more staff to handle the workload and/or someone recently left since it seemed more hectic than usual. After the tea tasting, some of us wanted to purchase the tea gift sets since we liked the roasts we tried. The person who held the tea tasting got us our items and led us to the front where others were making the drink purchases. We were helped by another person, and we also wanted to get drinks to go since our other friends had already got their drinks while we did the tea tasting. They rang up the tea set purchase and then started on our drink order. Soon after, a more experienced staff member checked to see what the hold up was and charged us for the tea set again. We had already paid for it, but she said we didn't since their system showed it was waiting for us to complete the purchase. We showed her our bank statement that displayed the transaction was pending on our end, and she asked for a receipt since if we made the payment already, we should have one. We didn't get one. There was some back and forth because we knew we had already paid but the person wouldn't budge. Apparently, the transaction we see on our bank statement is temporary, and that we had to tap again, but... we disagreed. The person who completed our transaction returns, and after hearing everything said there was a receipt and went to look for it with the other drink order receipts. After seeing the receipt, we were apologized to and that was that. I guess if there was another negative it would be this: their grass jelly is flavorless. Not a hint of lightly bitter sweetness. Nothing herbal or earthy/grassy about it. It was just... jelly. read more

Finally got to try the highly praised Chicha San Chen - located to the side of a popular plaza in Duluth so don't be confused when your GPS tells you to turn early or directs you to the very side of the plaza. Line was nearly out the door when I went and remained that way throughout my entire visit here. They offer you a tea sample at the register and then you can either build your own drink, or select a drink from the other side of the menu. Premium prices (~$8/boba) but you can definitely taste the quality, and contrary to many boba places, perfect sugar is actually not very sweet. In fact, out of personal preference, I actually wished my drink was a bit sweeter because I could really taste the green tea and it was a bit too strong for me. Boba topping has great chewy texture to it! I appreciated the service, how clean/modern the interior is, and how authentic the process is. It looks like they make each drink's tea fresh with their machines! If you are a fan of tea and prefer stronger tea flavors, this is the place for you. read more
Is this place worth the hype? I would say yes! Every drink is made from scratch. Instead of premade tea sitting in dispensers, each drink is brewed fresh with these cool "teaspresso" machines. Lines are usually out the door, but I luckily came in at the right time before the 1pm Saturday rush. At the cashier, they have sample teas for you to try. I sampled the green tea with fresh milk, and it was delicious! I will definitely order that next time. Boba was good too. Nice QQ and fresh. One of the main things I regret not trying in Taiwan was Chicha San Chen. I was very pleased to find out we finally have one in GA. I love that they have made high quality more accessible. There are so many tea shops & boba shops these days, & quite frankly I've noticed a lot of them are in it for the quick buck. They always have a line out the door, but it actually moves fairly quickly. They also have daily Tea samples for you to try, if its your first time there! I loved that they not only have traditional boba topping, but also Yuzu jelly & Grass Jelly. I do recommend parking at the next plaza over. The location strip is very tight, the shop is also tight on the inside. However they have many seating that is first come first serve. I love that this place sticks true to the roots of the origin of traditional tea & combines it with boba. It really shows how they earned their 3 Michelin stars, consecutively for three years. If you are interested, they offer free tea making demos. It was quite interesting to see that how meticulously they measure how many grams of tea, to the water temperature, & brewing time. It was such a different experience & it didn't feel like just grabbing Boba. I can't wait to come again! read more

This boba place is 100% worth all the rave. I ordered the honey osmanthus oolong tea with suggest sugar specifications. I believe Chicha San Chen receives the highest Asian praise of being "not too sweet and just enough" as a dessert and a refreshing tea. The fragrance is amazing when you walk in the door. I don't think you could go wrong with anything you order here, and I am excited to try their daily recommendations when I come back! Service is efficient yet attentive. Lines moved quickly to accommodate for their large crowds. The place has a sleek and modern look with decent seating. read more
This boba is freaking amazing!! For milk teas, we tried the Bubble Milk Tea and Dong Ding Oolong Tea Latte. They were both amazing, but I think the oolong was my favorite. Boba was perfect level of chewy. Tea and milk balance was also perfect. For fruit teas, we got Fruit Tea and Honey Osmanthus Oolong Tea. I liked the classic fruit tea more, as it tasted fruitier than the other one. Both were really good, though. Store has ample seating. I love that they give you a sample before you order. They also have occasional tea tastings in the back! read more
