They were giving out prizes by spinning a wheel with a Large drink purchase. My friend got a drink holder and I got a free drink coupon. At this time, the drinks were pretty decent. I was super excited and make sure to come before the coupon expired. When I came to redeem it, she still charged me for a drink and told me she gave me a free size drink upgrade. I ordered a medium and she gave me a large which was only a dollar off my order. The coupon stated for one free drink. She said I read the coupon wrong, when I asked to see it again she refused. I hate supporting small businesses, and they try to scam you of their own promotion. The coupon clearly said free drink. A purchase wasn't even required, which I did also buy an ice cream cone. Not only did I get charged for a drink. It was disgusting . Previously, I had only ordered the Yuzu drink. I had never had their Boba before. I think I ended up throwing the whole drink away. The brown sugar drink didn't even taste like real brown sugar, and the tapioca balls were so soggy. The ice cream was very bitter. I ordered a coffee ice cream. I tried to give them one last chance by ordering the Yuzu tea again. They switched up the yuzu Boba and it didn't even taste like anything. My nephew also thought this place was nasty. My girlfriends and I decided to try Xing Fu Tang for a quick snack while shopping in the area. This is a Taiwanese boba tea shop. You can even see them making fresh boba. The shop is in a shopping plaza so there was plenty of free parking. Upon entering the store, you see plenty of places to sit and order at the counter. The cashier was polite and explained how they made fresh boba and make some recommendations based on popular drinks. We ordered the beef pizza toast, cinnamon toast, and tuna toast. Our favorites were the pizza and cinnamon toasts. I also had the lychee rose tea and it was delicious too. We will return to try other flavors soon. read more

God I love Xing Fu Tang. This place has my heart. Their boba is warm, sweet, and so soft with the perfect amount of chew. The texture is just bliss. If you're looking for the best boba in Duluth - THIS IS THE PLACE. It's made fresh every day, you can even watch how it's made on their instagram page. I've been coming here for almost two years now, and it's a joy every single time. The drink I usually get is the Dalgona Coffee with Brown Sugar Boba. The foam on top isn't sweetened so you can taste exactly how good the coffee is. But, the rest of the drink is pretty sweet. If you're not trying to get a caffeine rush or just feeling a different flavor, all the other drinks are worth a try. Recently they started selling seasonally flavored soft serve. Like with everything else at this place, the texture is just right. It's not the type that's overly soft and melts right away, and it's not the icey stiff kind either. Perfectly in the middle. I'm sad I missed out on trying their mango or coconut-lychee this summer, but for fall their flavors are pistachio and black sesame. Individually these flavors are amazing but you can also get them swirled together and man oh man the swirl is IT. The pistachio soft serve gives you an immediate taste of delight, and then the black sesame's nutty flavor kicks in as an aftertaste. You can also opt to get black sesame boba, brown sugar boba, red bean, etc. with the soft serve and they'll put it at the bottom of the cup. It's included in the price ($6!) and not an extra charge. Beyond the food, I love this place for what it is. It's not a sit down type of place where you wanna stay for too long, but the fortune stick station is so fun and sometimes it's just what I need. When I'm down, nothing makes me feel better than grabbing some tasty boba and picking a little fortune from their wall. Getting a short piece of advice or encouragement makes the experience so much more comforting and whimsical. They've also got a corner for little crane machines, and I love the family that runs this place. Always the happiest and sweetest people. Stopped by Xing Fu Tang for a little boba break and it didn't disappoint! I got the Strawberry Boba Matcha Milk and my husband had the Strawberry Boba Milk. Both were super refreshing and had the perfect balance of sweet and creamy. I have to say their matcha is not my favorite. Their boba itself though, very good quality and taste! Ordering was quick and easy, and they have plenty of seating which made it a nice spot to just relax for a bit. Everything was great! From being greeted immediately as I walked in to the excitement that someone new was visiting their store for the first time. They were eager to help me select the right drink. I like my boba sugar level really low so they said get 0 sugar since the boba comes with syrup. Spot on and delicious! One person even came from the back and asked how my Boba was. But this time I wanted to take my parents so I brought them in and let them choose some drinks to try, my treat! My dad is a huge red bean & taro fan so he ordered the red bean taro milk, which was perfect for him. Little on the sweeter side for him but otherwise he enjoyed the real taro and red bean toppings. My mom ordered the matcha boba milk since she's a huge matcha latte fan. We weren't a huge fan of the strawberry boba but it did make for a pretty picture. The interior is super cute and clean! Seating is relatively plentiful, although during peak hours it may be hard to find a table if you have a larger group. I love the huge boba in the corner, perfect for for photo opps. They also make their brown sugar boba hot and fresh before your eyes, which speaks to what is so special about their boba! Their menu can be a bit crazy and hectic, especially with their seasonal specials - some of which are excellent and others, not so much my style. Duluth has many, many bubble tea places (a Michelin rated place even opened up in the area!). So there's a lot of competition. Xing Fu Tang, though, is known for using real gold foil and has a whole edible rose, which while unnecessarily beautiful, is something to experience (how many people can say they've eaten a whole rose sitting atop a layer of real gold?). Outside of that, it doesn't add much to the tea. It's a gimmick. People are better off ordering other items. There are two options for ordering: at the counter or the kiosk next to the entrance (not the best placement, kind of in the way of people entering). The interior wasn't made for people to sit and stay like a cafe. You can, but there's not much room, and only one area for sitting. Having been here before but not leaving a review until now, I will include my friends' thoughts and my own. My friends really like their brown sugar drinks, and I like that they use actual taro. It may be a bit difficult to drink since the chunks are diced in a size that doesn't always fit the straw, but the drink itself is yummy. We went on a Saturday around 5, and it wasn't busy, so they were really fast with getting us our drinks. The boba was fresh and warm in the drink. Xing Fu Tang is on the pricier side of bubble tea places, but my friends wanted their brown sugar drink, so we went. There's always one place that has one drink you like more than others, and you go when you're in the mood for THAT one. This was one of those times for my friends. Besides the tea, they also have some food items. I'm not sure how filling or tasty they are though. I like that you can draw a stick and see your fortune (I had average luck while both my friends somehow both got the same stick, number, and very good fortune). I thought it was a good opportunity to try something new. I thought they were actually pretty generous with the free stuff they were giving out. It honestly sucks for the people who didn't make it into the top 50 or top 100 though because I noticed people in line with small children & babies (2 and under) were getting counted and getting free stuff too. So it was unfortunate for the people who did wait over an hour just to miss out on some stuff. But, my family got lucky that we came really early and received everything! Each person was given a free 24k golden boba which I believe is typically priced at about $11. I've never seen a golden boba before so I didn't know what to expect, but it's no different than a brown sugar milk tea boba. I found it to be less on the sweet side and taste more milk than flavor to be honest, so I wasn't too impressed. I'm glad I didn't pay that price for it and got it for free instead. As for the drinks, if you ordered a tropical drink, you could get the 2nd 50% off and for spending over $10, you got a token for the claw machine. Drinks were just okay. Not too sweet which I enjoyed. Again, I found them to be quite pricey for the size so I don't know that I would come here during a time when a promo isn't running. What I did love about Xing Fu Tang is the ambience. I love that they have claw machines in the back that you could get prizes (fairly easily actually), comfortable seating, and they had some sort of lucky stick thing by the counter I didn't quite look at. Overall, it was a fun way to spend my morning because of the anniversary, but I can't say that I'd normally come here for boba otherwise. I already have my go-to boba spots, but an Instagram story from Atlspoon convinced me to try Xing Fu Tang. They were promoting an elaborate Lunar New Year celebration and the drinks looked festive and over-the-top so I had to try it. Each purchase comes with a Year of the Dragon red envelope and with multiple purchases you can score a gift bag. The drink selection was bold, and frankly I wasn't sure I'd like it. I ordered the Strawberry Thai Tea with Strawberry Boba and asked for less sugar based on an IG tip. Even at 50%, it was still sweet, but very delicious. Their claim to fame is handmade boba, and I have to agree it was the best I've tasted. I usually leave most of it behind, but not this time lol. The staff was warm and welcoming from start to finish. The interior was fun, easily one of the best-decorated boba shops I've visited. They even have a fortune teller for a cool experience. I been wanting to check this out for some time. This spot is very close to EM BOP so I had to come here after eating some great Korean BBQ. The parking lot here is pretty big and plenty to park at. I was told that this spot is very popular in Taiwan and it's like the OG of Bubble Teas. So that got me super excited. Coming inside, the decor and front counter was very very stylish and very inviting. You can watch them make the boba and your drinks. The decor here was amazing as well. They even had a place where you can see what your fortune will be. Prices here are more on the high side as most large drinks here are $8+. I don't remember price of drinks being that high. I've only been here a couple of times and this place is really, really good. Located in a strip mall, there's ample parking for Xing Fu Tang and this place always has a crowd so you might find yourself walking around the corner to your car. Order at the counter with a person who can answer all your curious questions about their brightly colored drinks, or if you prefer less interaction, use their kiosk immediately as you walk in. The space is not large or incredibly inviting - I don't see this as a spot you'd want to hang out at for hours, or do I think they want you there for hours. On my first visit when they opened not too long ago, there were no seats; the interior only had standing room at cocktail tables. I'm glad they've added places for patrons to sit, but again, I don't think they want you lingering here for long. There's plenty of stuff to do while you wait for your drink here - watch fresh boba getting made, watch their incredibly addicting TV showing some of the ingredients in their drinks, or pick your fortune from their old school Chinese fortune wall. I think the first drink I had here was the mango smoothie with rabbit panna cotta - ADORABLE and delicious. Who wouldn't want a floaty, squishy rabbit on top of their drink? TL;DR: Bring your friends that are new or apprehensive about boba here, they'll leave a fan. XFT is high quality without the ridiculous lines and arrogance. I already love boba and coming from CA, there's an abundance of options so i've definitely had good boba. The fresh-made boba definitely makes a difference. They have a good variety of milk, fruit, and even soft serve options. Many GOOD boba shops do not have a great option of both. Their menu won't be as big as other shops where you see every fruit flavor in existence as an option, why? because they don't use artificial flavored powders here. Quality of the boba here is unmatched so far in ATL. I've had your 7leaves tier others boba and while it's good, their options are much more limited and don't have the 'generally enjoyable' options. They also have seasonal options which is nice if you always like to try something new but classics remain on the menu. I love to take people new to boba here and they usually find something they like. My friend is new to boba but will tell them what she likes and they will come thru with a drink that she likes, so really, don't be afraid to try this place out!! For the people that don't like actual boba i'd say to give their balls a try :) Again, fresh-made makes such a big difference especially in the texture. The quality is always high and consistent which is rare in ATL. Ambiance: The shop is clean and bright and always decorated for the season. They have some comfy seating but if full, it could get loud. The vibe is chill but also feels like a fun after school spot for younger students. Let me just start by saying, if you love Boba....them you must try Xing Fu Tang! I have tried soooo many different boba spots and I have my favorites, but Xing Fu Tang is hands down my favorite. Anytime we are in Duluth, we always make sure to stop by. Their employees are super friendly and you will always get top notch service. If it's the weekend, it will probably be busy. The ambiance is super chill, fun and playful! They have fun games you can play in there and it's an awesome place to hang out with your friends. They make their boba in a big gold wok, it is the best, sweet, most fresh, delicious boba I have even tasted!
