IF ONLY I HAD FOUND SOON'S SOONER | I'm so happy there are more options than the big 3 Korean bakeries in metro atl now (white windmill, mozart and Hansel & Gretel). And they are so so much better. Soon's Bakery is one of those bakeries - with fun and viral options like the sweet potato bread (mochi-like texture), sweet corn bread and cream donuts, that you wouldn't find at the classic Korean bakeries. I'm also a big fan of their cookies - with my personal favorite, the earl grey. I'm unsure if they still have their brunch menu, but I also really loved their soufflé pancakes. I'm also impressed with their coffee options - much better than the average Korean bakery. Recently tried the matcha cream latte which was pretty much perfect. Creamy iced latte topped with unsweetened matcha cream - perfect pick-me-up. Overall a pretty quiet spot to grab a sweet treat and a coffee in a newly renovated cafe. This is one of my favorite Korean style bakeries in Georgia for a few reasons: 1. They have fluffy Korean style bagels. I can confirm that they taste just like the famous ones in Korea. 2. All locally made within this store location. Not shipped in from another store. 3. Their prices are quite low for the quality, and even their cakes are delicious and even come in smaller sized bento cakes. 4. They have the best salt bread in Georgia. I'm a salt bread conenssiour and can confirm this. They even have different salt bread variations and loaf that other shops don't have. 5. They make their own cream cheese blends for bagels, check the fridge by the door. Best is the sweet scallion cheese. 6. Their coffee is actually good!!!! Drinks at other local bakeries don't even stand a chance. 7. They are on the Too Good to Go app, so they don't waste food. You can try them with no guilt. 8. Homemade flavor, just like it was baked just for you. The staff are so kind and patient with all of my questions and are so proud of their fresh batch baked goods. But I did enjoy the cream top, glad I ordered it if not the latte definitely would've tasted a little bland. The ambiance was pretty nice though. It was quiet inside with lots of tables. One thing that was a turn off though was the woman's bathroom doesn't lock! So definitely beware of that. read more

Yum! Found this bakery on Yelp. Soon's is located in the Movie Tavern plaza with tons of parking. Walking in, you'll find a ton of pastries, bread and donuts. There's plentiful seats inside and even a photo booth ($)! Pastries are light and fluffy. I tried the strawberry donut and buttercream pastry. Neither was super sweet. Soon's makes everything in house and everything looks amazing. Soon's also offer soufflé pancakes that I have yet to try. Will definitely have to next time. The staff was super friendly. One of my go to bakeries as they're open super early before I head to work! Not only are the employees very kind, but the food is so fresh. You can see them in the back cranking out bread, and if you come in early in the morning it'll be fresh out of the oven not packaged yet! I love the pastries but I also love their chicken and egg sandwiches! The interior has been renovated recently and is very cute. What an amazing find! The breads at Soon's is baked fresh in site daily and is absolutely delicious. The doughs have great texture and chew and their creams have so much flavor but are not too sweet. The sausage garlic roll is a must try. The egg tarts came fresh out of the oven and melted in our mouths. Baked stuff is great with similar options to other Korean cafes in Suwanee. Haven't had many drinks but no issues so far. Confused about the ambiance as it looks a bit unfinished even though everywhere I could find they have been open for around 3 years. Maybe they were remodeling but it looks empty and the menu was one of those stick-on letter displays except some of the letters were falling off and the board was on the floor leaned against the front desk instead of hanging somewhere. Employees who have helped me didn't know their few goods off their heads to ring them up so I'm assuming they have a lot of new staff but other than that they are great. Overall it's good and I would try a couple more things on the menu but Suwanee is so saturated with these cafes at this point that it may take me a bit to come back here over other places. I was told by a friend that they have great cakes, however I wasn't ready to get a full cake so I tried a few of their pastries and their coffee. The owners are always very sweet and sometimes offer free samples of new items. What I really appreciate about this bakery though is that they're open so early. The positivity I feel towards this gem is overwhelming but I'll try my best to contain it. Soon's stands out from their competitors in a handful of ways. Their offerings focus on half-loaves of novelty or classic bread like squid ink, the savoury stuff (like the egg tart and hamburger bun) are well worth gong back for, and their sandwiches....ummmm their sandwiches!!!! We've tried the egg and potato and chicken sandwiches, and both tasted even better than they looked - fresh while leaf lettuce, tender and chewy bread with just enough sweetness to complement the fillings, and the flavouring of the fillings was just so spot-on. If we lived here we'd probably want to hang in one of the booths every now and then, and maybe we will one day. Until then, long live Soon's. read more

Finally got to Soon's after months of trying -- it exceeded my expectations! The service was excellent and the pastries were delightful. The employee at the counter was patient, attentive, and conversational, happy to give us recommendations and get us water when we requested it. It was a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere, and we enjoyed a game of Uno while drinking our bubble tea and eating our cream donuts. We arrived later in the afternoon and most of the pastries were already gone, except for a handful of items. I'd take that as a good sign! The bakery is bright and clean. They offer plenty of indoor seating and plenty of board games. Based on the labels, they offer a variety of baked goods from macarons and cake to loaves of bread and donuts. They also serve coffee, tea and boba, I believe. I chose three different items. One donut twist, one bread I don't remember the name of and a dalgona candy. The two staff members at check out were pleasant and helpful. They let me know that they replenish the items daily so there would be more of a selection the next morning. I inhaled all three of goodies within ten minutes. The donut had great consistency and although it was covered in sugar, it wasn't overly sweet. The other bread item I got was also delicious. The dalgona was exactly what I thought it would taste. The shapes were fun and were made to look like the ones in the popular Netflix show, Squid Game. I'll be sure to go earlier in the day next time so I can try more items! read more

The place was nice and a little tucked away in the plaza. I got the hot dog bread which was not bad but also not good. Bread was burnt and hard and flavour was okay. The cream buns looked great but haven't tried it yet. Got the iced caramel macchiato and they had no milk alternatives at all which is odd since many other bakeries would have at least one kind of alternative. So rip to my stomach. HANDS DOWN THE BEST KOREAN BAKERY IN THE OTP AREA!!!! I've tried a fair share of Korean bakeries but always felt like they didn't quite meet my expectations. The pastries at other places aren't bad but they usually lack originality and taste factory made. But Soon's bakery is different!! I can tell that their pastries are freshly baked everyday (if you go at the right time, you will be able to see baked goods on sitting on cooling racks). Not only that, they have a good mix of basic pastries like mocha bread and some very creative flavors like squid ink garlic bread and mugwort cookies. And of course they all taste amazing, at least the ones i've tried so far have all been delicious and don't taste overly sweet. The seating area is also clean and spacious, there are multiple seating booths that would be good for studying or just hanging out with friends. I found this small gem, open early (which was a plus ) I ordered a Cappuccino and fresh matcha and a blueberry bread. When I say fresh, she literally just took it out of the oven, in front of me. For lunch we also had something that looked like flat bread with a hamburger patty and another flatbread with sausage pieces. Both were excellent! The nice people there explained that everything is made fresh without preservatives so it has a short shelf life. Please go and support this local business. We were in town for the weekend and while searching for nearby Korean bakeries, Soon's Bakery popped up. I was intrigued because it wasn't one of the big chains we usually go to, so we decided to check it out at 9:30 am on a Saturday. We were immediately greeted by Damien, one of the owners, and he kindly and patiently showed us around. It is clear he loves his family, his Bakery and his product and I now want to be his best friend! I am not exaggerating when I say we pretty much bought one of everything that was available at 9:30 am, and everything we've tried so far has been a hit! We enjoy more savory foods, so we loved the hamburger bread, the sausage bread, the croque monsieur, and the squid ink garlic bread. That being said, the sweeter breads are still delicious. Everything is so fresh and I think LOVE is definitely the secret ingredient. The egg tart and almond cookies are amazing and remind me of my own childhood.
