Still, even if at full stock, the self-serve bakery section appeared smaller than expected. They do have a full café setup with paninis and other made-to-order items, which helps explain the "cafe" in the name--but I had hoped for more from the "bakery" side. With slim pickings, we grabbed a few macarons. They weren't bad, but they had a slightly floury texture that made them feel less fresh, and the flavors (dark cherry, blood orange, and mango) were subtle to the point of almost disappearing. Creative choices, just not as bold as I hoped. I have a feeling my opinion would improve with an earlier visit--so stay tuned for a follow-up review when I make it back during peak hours.

My partner got the apple turnover and it was equally tasty Service was great. The man that took our order (and made the food) was so happy and polite it made me even happier to be there. Atmosphere is great. This place is a bit small for dining in, but has nice tables and unique paintings that you can purchase decorating the walls. Very clean! Overall A+

I've also had PB bookmarked for quite sometime...so I blame my eagerness for the failed group runway photos. Lol I placed my order at 5 AM for an 8:15/8:30 AM pickup, and they still managed to pack everything like they were preparing it for royalty. Let mama break it down for you! Berry Tart: This tart walked in looking like it pays rent. Gorgeous, glossy, and so pretty I almost apologized before cutting into it. Clients loved it. My kids loved it. Strawberry Soft Cream Cake Slice: My 2‑year‑old (CEO of Strawberry Obsessed Galore) approved immediately. Every layer had actual thick strawberry pieces, not those sad little bits that makes you wonder if there were even strawberries in here or just mushed up pieces... Sweet, creamy, NOT overly weak and a total show‑off. We devoured it. Fruit Pastry & Raspberry Fruit Bite: Flaky pastry + custard + fruit = the holy trinity. These two didn't miss. They understood the assignment and executed flawlessly. Curry & Crab Croquette: I'm team CRAB croquette. It was loaded, crispy, and basically winked at me. My colleague, however, acted like the curry croquette was a spiritual experience. Pretty sure his eyes rolled to the back of his head..HAH. Both are winners! Pepperoni Pizzetta: My 4‑year‑old took one bite and immediately rejected Papa John's. That's the entire review. Case closed. Iced Sweet Green Tea: This one... was not it. It tasted like coffee that borrowed someone else's filter. We'll just leave it at that. Now, let's talk service: They open at 7 AM, and somehow had my entire order made, warmed, packed, organized, and ready in just over an hour..while other customers were inside, AND they helped me load everything into my car. My short notice didn't even make them blink.

I can't remember the name, but it had a hash brown and ham inside. It was good! I love how they ask if you want your pastry warmed up, especially since I'm a bit hesitant about eating food that's been sitting out. So that was definitely a plus! The matcha latte was great as well. There were plenty of seating options, and the atmosphere was perfect for either working, studying, or casually catching up. I chose one of the booth seats, which was comfortable, though I do wish there had been an outlet to charge my devices. The service was great. The employee who checked me out was bubbly and friendly. It was really nice to see that they've maintained their quality over the years. I'd definitely recommend checking Paris Baguette out!

It's where I found this place and I'm glad I was around the vicinity because I needed some food and recalled seeing this place hyped upon Instagram! Life Soup is a Korean comfort food place. If you know how Korean comfort food works, you know it's all about the broth. Pork bone broth. Beef broth. Chicken broth. Fish broth. All simmering for at least 8-14 hours. To extract the maximum amount of flavors from each protein source. And then combine that with the spices, the veg, and then serving it to the people. Yea, this is the place that clearly gets it right. The restaurant is next to the Song Gong Tofu place and Kung Fu Tea off Old Peachtree Rd where the Assi Market and the Arte coffee shop is. Across the street from the Gu Thai joint. So parking will be an issue because that plaza is always packed. The place is small. Dimly lit, seats roughly 80 people, and very homely and cozy. It's run by a slew of elder aunties who probably know what they're doing. It's been a minute since I had the potato stew or Gamjah Tahng. It's a hearty pork bone broth style soup that is rich, deep, meaty, and just warms you right up. The way they do it here is quite traditional. You can taste the spices they used for the meat. Hints of ginger, cinnamon, and cardamom notes in the pork. The broth itself is spicy, deep, rich, hearty, and definitely gives the mouth feel of the Korean countryside. You don't smell the pork but you can definitely taste the rich fatty pork that the bones have been simmering in for the last day. Then what is new to me is the generous dusting of toasted perilla leaf seed powder that gives an added depth of flavor. It does come a bit bland as there is much of that salty bite so you can add it yourself as you see fit. All in all, it's a great place. I just wish they would serve rice that's proportionate to the bowl of the soup because that soup bowl is HUGE! And disappointed in the lack of potatoes as gamjah is literally translated as "POTATO". At $14.99 plus tax and tip for this particular entree is not too shabby considering the portion size. Highly recommend this place.

I like the interior of the cafe as it reminds me a bit of Stylenanda in Korea (pink!). I can't speak on the drinks, only the pastries and cakes, and yeah, they're good! Probably shouldn't leave any pastries with fruit longer than a few hours since it'll get soggy though. We had a few birthdays to celebrate, and Confections was the go-to choice to for a lot of people this year. Not too sweet cream with fruit and fluffy cake, it was perfect for many in our group. The only cake I would not recommend that I've tried would be the Dubai chocolate cake. Not only is it more expensive, it's smaller than the other offered cakes. As a cake, it doesn't quite match up to Dubai chocolate strawberry cups that you can get elsewhere. The kunafa loses its crispiness being sandwiched between cake, and there isn't much pistachio flavor. I would've expected pistachio cream, but there really wasn't any on this cake. There are more strawberries on the strawberry cream cake, which fair, makes sense, but the Dubai cake wasn't as amazing as it sounded. Just tall. Good thing we had another cake from Confections that day since it was a joint birthday.
