I was in the area and decided to stop by here to sample some pastries! They had a limited amount of individually packed pastries and looked like their best sellers sold out before I got here! I went with the garlic cheese bread and apricot croissant and got it to go. After heating them up, the cheese bread had this odd smell and taste that lingered that didn't make it super appetizing even though it looked pretty good. The apricot croissant however was quite delicious! It had this jam on the inside and had crunchy bits on top for the texture. I really liked how it wasn't too sweet and could get the hints of apricot. Overall, service was good but don't think I'll be coming back since Paris Baguette or other bakeries have a wider choice at the same price point. read more

I've gone to this cafe a few times since it's close to where I work. I appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and love all the items they have to offer. I normally choose a savory item from the plethora of choices they have. Anything with cheese included always catches my eye. Everything I've picked up here is always fresh and flavorful. There's a good amount of seating for people to come, enjoy the food, and be productive, without feeling like we're too close to another table. Not the first time I'm seeing a bakery serve tiny portions for such whopping prices but this place is certainly not worth that money. The staffs are there just to say yes or no and nothing more. Probably a new employee but that doesn't mean you don't even know where do you keep your salt and pepper in your cafe. Food: We ordered few pastries including a chocolate mousse cake, avocado toast (requested for no eggs, no meat) which usually comes with fried eggs topping and a puff pastry. Except for the avocado toast the pastries were very cold, probably kept there since yesterday. Not just cold it was hard as well. The avocado toast comes with a streak of curry (has meat/ eggs) and fried eggs which we declined at the time of order but without these it was absolutely bland to the core. I understand if it's meant to be eaten with eggs and curry it would have tasted different but atleast expected some creativity there from the chef inside; a simple "No it won't taste good" would have been appreciated. The prices are too much for this little quantity and most importantly the taste isn't so great either. Most part of mousse and the puff pastry felt bland to me. Certainly disappointed. Service and Ambience: The interiors are very nice and well lit for a cafe. The tables could have been cleaned better and no kids high chair here. They do have outdoor seating with 3-4 tables. It's quiet and comfortable on the inside. The service is not that great in my opinion. Had some one at the counter who was probably new and not so well versed with the cafe and the items and in locating few things (salt pepper shaker) we asked for. She was clueless about the menu as she initially said the curry in avocado toast doesn't have any meat/ eggs. When the order arrived there was no curry and thank god we mentioned it upfront. That's where the service comes into picture. If not aware of something I would at least encourage to check with the kitchen. There's just one person to take care of all these things. So certainly needs a lot more staffing. BOTTOMLINE: A very sophisticated place to sit and work but certainly not the best of cakes/ pastries in the town with a sub par service, I would pass on this one if I was you. This review is geared towards a place for productivity. I stumble upon this bakery on a Saturday when a nearby cafe was packed to the brim. I would recommend this place as a place to lock in and be productive. They have plenty of natural lighting and outlets for your devices. Place feels clean and simple. Bright lighting nad a cute white/wooden interior. Music volume is very quiet. Place is not packed and people who are here also maintain a lower than typical volume for a cafe. It can get very quiet. I can see myself coming back here again to work and enjoy some bakery goods and coffee/tea. Free Wi-Fi avaliable here and no issues at all. The selection here is basic and good. Prices are reasonable being 5-6$. You can spend an easy 10$ for a drink and bakery treat. Not too rough in the pocket. Staff here are nice and good vibes all around. read more

The cashier was efficient, but I wanted soufflé pancakes and apparently whoever can make those was not in the back, so they couldn't make them. I was hoping for something fresh, as the pastry items on display, while cute, were stale and did not taste good. Drinks were good - maybe because the cashier/employee made those fresh. I recommend avoiding all of the pastries that are lying out and also the ones in the case. None of it tasted fresh. You can tell from the photos I posted there is absolutely no moisture left in the cake or the bread. Both tasted at least a couple days old. read more

I was in the area and needed a place to sit for maybe an hour or two to crank out some work and get some caffeine. After this visit i definitely added this place to my repeat offenders list! It was peaceful here with a good playlist. I even stayed longer than expected and order a light snack. I ordered a simple Chai tea latte (you can never go wrong with a latte). I will order something more next time because i feel their specialty drinks are probably amazing from the smells that filled the area. I also order the Cajun egg avocado toast because why not? I will say i was not impressed with it but it was exactly what should be expected for avocado toast not much cajun. Cant be mad at that. Lastly, I bought some day old pastries that were 50% off??? WHO WOULD PASS UP THAT?? I wasn't sure what i purchased because they weren't labeled (i'm definitely more trusting and adventurous than others) but i got one of each different thing in the basket. I needed a place to hang out and study for a few hours and this cafe was the perfect place. It's OTP but worth the drive. I was captured by the simple modern aesthetic of the interior and how simple the seating area was set up. (Lover of neutral colors and modern aesthetic.) They chose the Tokyo Cafe jazz piano playlist as found on Youtube as the background music (a favorite) and perfect for studying/working. *They have an outlet at every table under the chairs!* They had fresh baked breads & pastries laid out adjacent to the counter and cakes and other cold desserts inside a display. There were just enough options to not overwhelm you. They also serve soufflés and other brunch-like plates, but the kitchen was closed since the manager had stepped out. I was a little disappointed but still in good spirits. I ordered the Strawberry Mocha coffee & grabbed a strawberry-filled bread as a snack. The coffee was blended well and wasn't too bitter or sweet - I really liked it! The bread did not quite taste as fresh as I would have liked but was still delicious. I spent about 3 hours here and was able to get so much work done. I enjoyed my stay here and will be back for more! read more

Great find! I love visiting new cafes and came across this one today and I really loved it. The place is super nice and bright and well lit. There is good amount of tables. Everything seemed very clean and I loved how cute the interior was decorated. The seats were very comfy and the staff is super friendly. (I think it may be family run business which I always love and appreciate). The drinks were good. I did not get to try the pastries today but they look fresh and delicious with variety of selections available. They also had a "day old" pastry on sale which implied they only keep fresh breads out. We were meeting up with some friends to catch a movie in the area where they live. We arrived in the shopping center a little earlier than initially expected and decided to pop into this café while we waited. The space is beautiful! Loved the ambiance. Unfortunately, the service was a bit slow. We took a fair amount of time to look at the pastries before we finally decided on just a few to try. We chose a matcha bun, a chocolate bun, and a cinnamon bun. You have to order at the counter, and there were two couples ahead of us, each with two young children. They'd ordered more than just pastries, and there was only one employee working at the time. So, we waited at least 20 minutes or so before getting to the counter to pay for our items. We weren't in a hurry and waited patiently, but it wasn't the most ideal. By the time we were finished, it was time for us to head over to the movie theater, so we decided to wait until we got home to try the baked goods. Once we got home and tried everything, we were pretty underwhelmed. Nothing really tasted like what the name implied. It all actually tasted pretty much the same. The matcha bun had zero matcha flavor and the chocolate bun didn't taste like chocolate. The cinnamon bun had a hint of cinnamon, but it definitely wasn't what you'd expect. It all had the same milk bread consistency and basic confectioner's sugar kind of taste. We understood the overall Korean bakery influence, but the quality wasn't anything like what we've had at other places. All in all, it was just okay, and we won't be returning. read more

We stumbled upon this venue after trying out dinner in the same plaza. Food: I was informed that the pastry styles are from multiple cultures (Asian/Korean, Italian, Latin, etc). We ended up getting a Triple chocolate delight cake which was okay (but probably won't try again). It had multiple layers filled with sweet and crunchy hazelnut. There were unique looking pastry and plenty of variety. Ambiance: this is where I believe this cafe shines. A cute cozy cafe with a variety of pastries and drinks. I came for the soufflés and so glad I did. Prices are comparable to other cafes in the area. Soufflés are on the expensive side (~$16) but worth the try if you've never had one before. Expect to wait 15-20 minutes for them as they take some time to make. I got the fruit and tiramisu soufflé and both were really good. The soufflé itself was very soft, moist, fluffy and bigger than other ones I've tried at other cafes. The fruit toppings and cream were also very fresh and light and subtly sweet. I didn't experience any bad service as others mentioned in their reviews. We were greeted by two girls who were really nice and attentive. We were asked to leave in the nicest way possible as they were closing soon. Stopped by C'est La Vie for dessert after a nice dinner next door. We were greeted right away by a young lady behind the counter. She was most likely in her teens. The interior is bright and beautiful. Plenty of indoor seating. The bakery offers a wide variety of pastries; from cheesecakes and mille crepe cakes to croissants and matcha bread. They also offer coffee, tea, milk teas, fruit drinks and more. Everything looked so good, it took us a while to decide. We asked a few questions, but the girl couldn't answer most of them. She must be new and in training because her response to most of our questions was "I don't know." She was apologetic, though. We decided on a slice of rose mille crepe cake, slice of cheesecake, coconut bread, Mexican cream with coffee souffle bread and taro bread. We liked the coconut bread and cheesecake and we LOVED the rose mille crepe cake, which apparently is made in-house! The souffle bread and taro bread were just okay. The rose mille crepe cake was light yet creamy and was not too sweet. Hubs and fought for the last bite, but I won. Looking forward to trying more of their pastries and desserts! read more

Great location and the inside of the bakery was clean and beautifully decorated. They have a large variety of baked goods which makes it difficult to choose. I picked 2 croissants, chocolate and pudding filled. Both were delicious but the pudding one was more moist than the chocolate. Both had a good amount of filling. I also ordered a caramel latte which was good and not too sweet. I only gave 4 stars because the service was not overly friendly. I also did not see any kind of menu while in the store other than a drink menu. I was hoping for a warm egg sandwich on a croissant but it seemed they only had pre-packaged baked goods. LOCATION Within a plaza, at the corner. There's a convenient and free private parking lot out front. II. SERVICE No complaints III. QUALITY We liked that this particular cafe/bakery had a small sale section of pastries that were a day old; it just verifies that they make everything fresh daily, here. Also, most bakeries labeled as Korean DON'T hold taro, pineapple, or coconut pastries. So, we're both curious about the roots of this establishment. Taiwanese? Chinese?? IV. We stopped in after a movie one Friday night and found the place hoping. The shopping center is one that has struggled to keep business, with restaurants flipping regularly, so seeing a full house at 9:30pm was encouraging. The atmosphere is bright and lively, creating a more energetic feel than most coffee houses. Unfortunately, the crowd caught the staff off-guard as they seemed to be slightly understaffed for the rush, making orders slow to come out. Their friendliness, however, was not deterred, and it made us more apt to waiting patiently. We did get two Pettit Fores for our wait. The bakery sports a variety of muffins, cakes, breads and treats - more than adequate selection for any time of day, satisfying every palate, whim , and desire. I opted for the Tiramisu, which was slightly over chilled, sporting a slight icy crunch at the center, likely from the cabinet cooler setting being a smidge too low. This was accompanied by a cappuccino which can "law suit hot" and took a good 15 minutes to get to my desired temp. It was delicious. We saw old friends while visiting which added to the charm and community feel of this new establishment. I hope it makes it, and I will do my part to visit post-movie again soon. read more

This place lies about their menu. They do not bake anything or cook anything here, it seems. So those sandwiches on their menu? Not even in the bakery. Nowhere. They don't serve real food. Just pre-made croissants and average lattes. I checked with the person working the counter. I wish I would have known about the deceit in the menu before driving out here with my family. On top of that, the service was not good. The teenage boy running the counter ignored me despite standing directly in front of me for quite a while. Not even a "hi, I'll be with you soon". What a total letdown in a couple of regards but really the kicker is having tons of menu options online that you can't make in the cafe. This bakery is a gem. Really pretty place with excellent, homemade Asian pastries. The flavored "breads" are Asian style snacks that are sort of a cross between flaky bread and a pastry. A good variety of selection on breads, cakes and drinks. They had a small shelf with breads that are one day old for 50% off. Bathrooms are hidden behind the curtain in the back of the store. Very clean. We tried red bean bread, Oreo cream bread, almond milk croissant, and taro bread. Overall all the breads are more on the light side. The Oreo cream was the only one that was a bit too sweet. The red bean bread was flat and instead of paste it had the actual red bean. However, a very small amount on the filing. But the bread itself is kind of sweet so it tasted good. I ordered an orange boom fruit drink, however, I'm pretty sure it was made incorrect and I got the orange pineapple boom. It tasted really good. There are fresh fruit pieces. The prices is on par with other bakeries in the area. I am curious to go back and try another drink and some of the cakes! read more

So many options! Only negative is that there was only one worker upfront ! She was handling the rush pretty well by herself and was very attentive to answering questions. Great staff! This asian bakery is so good!! I like how they have a large variety of baked goods and cakes. My favorite is the matcha bread, it's super soft and moist with the perfect amount of matcha. My daughter also loves the hot dog breads. The bubble tea is really good and the boba's are perfectly soft and chewy. The bakery is very inviting and has a cute french inspired interior. It's a great atmosphere for studying or working. There's an abundance of indoor and outdoor seating. The location is also great and there's plenty of parking. My Asian bakery standards are Sweet Love / Sweet Hut / Tree Story, as an FYI... Great ambience but the basics of the business are slacking (as in basic flow...like finding a good spot for napkins). Drinks here are below average. They were out of most items when we went which ended up eliminating half the drink menu. The boba was hard and doesn't seem like their specialty and the staff was less than helpful in recommendations (as in they could not recommend a drink). The coffee were on the sweeter side. Baked good selection underwhelmed. A lot of promising options and we tried around 6 selections but they all fell flat. All of them either soggy, old/stale, or lacked general flavor.
