So many amazing desserts! I had a banana split with strawberry, mango, and chocolate peanut butter ice creams. They have tons of different toppings to choose from. My son got an ice cream sundae with Dutch chocolate ice cream and brown sugar tea with peach popping boba. My husband got a cone with chocolate peanut butter and gooey butter cake ice creams and my daughter got a pistachio square baklava and a coffee. And we all loved everything. I've been visiting arts bakery since 2011. I love that its family owned. Not much has changed in a good way. The desserts are so consistent and the selection is small but mighty. We love the almond success if you like white chocolate. The texture is so unique with the chewy parts of the pastry and the almond crunch. The lady fingers and all the little baklava style nutty treats are delicious as well. My favs are the ones with pistachio or cashew inside. My sister loves their tiramisu too! The slices are a great size for the price. The cakes were around 4.15-4.25 and the smaller baklava treats range from about 2-3 dollars! read more

I've had this little bakery bookmarked on my Yelp page for several years now and didn't realize it was in this plaza all along. I don't venture to this side of Pleasant Hill very often, and am usually surprised when my GPS takes me here when trying a new restaurant. After dinner at I Luv Hotpot, we walked over to take a look. The owner (or manager?) was there behind the counter in the empty restaurant and was super helpful in our search for tasty desserts. My friends ordered a slice of pistachio cake of sorts and some baklava. The owner recommended his favorite dessert to me, the almond succes (pronounced "success"). And it was amazing! It's not the easiest to slice into or share, but the crunchy hidden layer topped with shreds of white chocolate and almond... omg. This is definitely a must order. And for only $3.40? They blocked off the entire back. Looks kind of messy. The ice cream is good. The flavors are good. The cones are good and the prices are great. The end of the cone tasted a little stale. Single scoop is a little small. There's nowhere to sit inside. You have to sit outside. The flavors and textures won me over - there's the chewy flaky layers (Katie H was spot on, comparing it a macaron), the cream that tastes like sweet butter, the white chocolate shavings, the toasted almonds. It reminded me of a Napolean. I would get this again in a heartbeat. BLACK FOREST CAKE - $3.90 This one is awesome too - it's not your ordinary black forest cake. Fresh whipped cream - the cream layer had surprising bits of pear - so good! Their cakes are light too - very similar to the Korean cakes. CHOCOLATE RAT - $2.45 Not crazy about the name but that face w/ the pistachio ears, so cute you hate to eat it. We had a hard time trying to figure out what was inside - tasted familiar. I have been coming to Art's Bakery since my last review in December 2016. They are still consistent in their flavors and their awesome customer service. The success is always a success for us. I prefer the almond while the kids prefer the chocolate. We get sad when they run out! I've been getting baklava recently and to me, they have the best I've ever had. I think their smaller size is better than the big ones I've had in the past. they are smaller and cheaper too. Plus less oily and greasy. I ordered two trays of walnut baklava for World Day for Cultural Diversity event at work. Baklava is nothing new to most Americans because they've tasted it before at Greek restaurants. I can tell you one thing. Baklava taste so much better at Art's Bakery! Several people have come up to me and told me that it was the best baklava they ever had. Trust me, same here with me too! Omg. This place is amazing. It's such an unassuming bakery that hits you right between the eyes once you take a bite of their pastries. This is your classic "mom and pop" shop with the friendliest owners. A courteous greeting and a patient host as you peruse the baked goods. They had tiramisu to baklava. I almost settled on pistachio baklava, but the almond succes caught my eye. I asked, "What is this?" He explained to me what it was made of and said with 100% confidence, "You will like it." I can tell when people are just trying to get you to buy it, like the waiters who recommend the most expensive dish on their menu. But this baker was serious. My friend got the tiramisu. It was so light, smooth, and delicious. It's such a simple dessert, and so easy to be overpowering, but he achieved the right balance; not too sweet and not too coffee strong. Onto my dessert. Yes, it was good. He was right when he said I would like it. Again, the dessert isn't too sweet, which I love. Light almond cream is sandwiched between chewy almond meringue cookies and topped with almonds and shaved white chocolate. I need more of this in my life! Oh, and he let us pay after our meal; I think he wanted to make sure we enjoyed it. Such a great business manner! I wish this place was in Dallas! I was recommended to try out Art's Bakery & Cafe, and when I found out it was in the same strip as I love Pho, Sri Thai and Rustic Couch, I was excited to go because i'd never seen it this place! When I pulled up I could see why! Sandwiched between Blazin' Cajun and Farmer's Insurance, you do almost have to be looking for the plain white sign, but once you know it exists, you're in for a treat! I could immediately see the medeterranian influence with multiple types of baklava, but there's a true european influence as well, with the likes of tirimasu, macaroons, etc. Definitely an elegance to the pastries here, the presentation of the sweets are top notch, so it was hard to choose! Choose I did though, and here's what I got: Chocolate Vermicelli x 3 ($0.45 per cookie) Chocolate Rhum Ball x 2 ($1 each) Chocolate success ($3.90) Lady fingers with cashews x 2 ($0.65 each) Pistachio squares ($1.60) Americano coffee 10 oz ($1.85) My favorite out of the bunch? The Lady fingers with cashews were FEEEE-NOM! Buttery, crispy, light and slightly sweet. The lady fingers goes amazingly well with coffee or by itself. The chocolate rhum balls were a close second, made with real rhum. I was expecting a more solid center, but it's a really soft rhum infused center, where you can get a hint of the rum flavor. This was also very good! Chocolate Vermicelli were pretty much cookies. These tasted like dark chocolate on the bottom, and sprinkled with chocolate pieces on the top. These were okay! The pistachio square, or baklava, had an entire layer of crushed pistachio sandwiched by two flakey layers. Both flakey and buttery with a hint of sweetness, this was also tasty. The chocolate success was beautiful to look at. Staff described it as a macaroon, but not cooked as a macaroon would be, so not the light crispy macaroon texture, but complete with the light feeling of one. That's what I was told, but when I got a metal fork, it was a challenge to cut into it. Sadly, I would not have been able to cut into it at all with plastic cutlery, and even with the fork they gave me, I had to use two hands to push the fork all the way through it. Flavor of the chocolate success is a chocolate lover's dream, and it has this creaminess that I enjoyed. I just couldn't get over how difficult it was to get a piece of it on my fork. The coffee was really nothing special, at least not their standard drip coffee. The interior is nice and clean, with a few tables both inside and outside. Parking here isn't a challenge due to it being shared by the multiple restaurants here. Entering or exiting the lot onto Satellite boulevard isn't tough at all in either direction. Staff were really excellent and helpful going through things with me, and i'm not even getting into the ice cream part of their sweets, but every question I had, they answered. When the question came up, How long have you guys been here? It was quite a shock when, they mentioned they'd been here longer than I love pho had, and definitely more than 6 years. Wow! Best bakery i've tried? No, but Art's Bakery & Cafe is a solid choice if you have a sweet tooth or at least a pretty dessert you want to put online. Stop in if you're close! read more

Shamefully, I originally stopped by here because it was my next choice in the area when I found out where I wanted to go was closed. This bakery is located where I Love Pho is on Satellite BLVD. This review is only on the baked goods, as I did not try any coffee beverages. I had the Almond Success and it was so light, creamy, and perfect in every way. Biting in, I could immediately tell this was not typical American baking. It had such an airiness to it; just sweet enough without being sickening. Expecting an Asian bakery, I was even further interested. The owner is of Lebanese descent and creates pieces with a French/Lebanese influence that really somehow work. This bakery is closed on Monday's and on Sunday evening when I arrived, a lot of the baked goods were already sold out- so keep that in mind. Arts Bakery is a gem! Their cakes and cookies are delicious. Each piece of cake is decent to big size and around $3.50. All the pastries are home made at the store. You gotta get there early before they are all sold out. Cakes are really smooth, creamy, and not overly sweet. They are very fresh because Art makes them everyday. With each passing day, I enjoy living in Gwinnett county more and more. I come from New England and have been in the metro area about 6 years and planted my first seed in the South in Fulton county. Thought I wouldn't leave, but here I am. This county is full of different ethnic flavors, which delights me beyond belief. Art's Bakery is a place worth visiting, even if it lies outside your usual routes around town. This is a Middle-Eastern/French bakery, which may appear to be a strange combination, until you learn that the pastry chef/owner is Lebanese. To get the history, Google "French Mandate of Lebanon and Syria." Okay, on to desserts. I have had the Raspberry Almond Cake, Pistachio Vanilla Cake, Baba Rhum, Art's Specialty, as well as almost all the baklavas. I have gotten the rose petals filled with almonds, as well as the pistachio baklava squares/lady fingers and the cashew burma/bird nests. Everything is exquisite, which leaves me wondering how Chef Art can master both Middle Eastern and French pastry techniques so well. But I don't wonder too long, I just go and pick up something and enjoy his talent. We are lucky to have this bakery in Duluth. You can be sure that if a similar quality bakery were located ITP, the prices would be more than double what Art's Bakery charges for heavenly sweets. My Food Spotting app certainly came in handy today! I flew into ATL and don't have a car at my disposal, so I needed to find some yummy food that was within walking distance. Art's Bakery was actually the very first thing to pop up. The pictures of they beautiful pastries won my heart immediately! So I was very happy to see that this bakery was an easy 1.5 miles away - the perfect walk for me! First let me say that the one guy working there was absolutely amazing! He was very friendly, very helpful and when he saw he learned that it was my first time, he insisted that I try two of the smaller cookies to sample! They were both absolutely delicious! But I have to say that I had far richer, creamier treats in mind.....but it was so hard to choose! Everything looked divine! I eventually decided to go with two items I'd never seen anywhere else that seemed to be pretty popular based on other reviews I'd read - Chocolate Rat and Almond Success. As many pictures show, the rat is covered in a layer of dark chocolate. But what's inside?!? I needed to know and no one could tell me in their reviews. Well, I'm happy to tell you. According to the man at the counter it's white cake and chocolate cake mixed with almonds, which led me to believe there were layers of cake inside. Wrong. The inside of the rat was very much like the inside of a cake ball as far as consistency goes, but with some chopped almonds town in there for texture. The flavor was light and mild compared the sometimes disgustingly sweet cake balls you taste nowadays. This was a particularly good thing because it provided a perfect balance to the Almond Success. The Almond Success was another dessert I wanted to discover because, again, none of the reviews could tell me what in the heck it was! Not only did I post a picture of the inside, but I will also explain what's going' on in there. There are two layers of "cake". But this cake has the same chewy texture as a macaron. In between these cake-macaron things is a THICK layer of creamy icing. It had the flavor of almond, the intense sweetness of marshmallow fluff and the texture of the smoothest, creamiest butter ever. The whole thing is topped off with another layer of this icing. The sides are rolled in sliced almonds and the top is covered in white chocolate shavings. Put all these layers together and you have a spectacular treat - the chew from the cake, slight crunch from the almonds and light, melting creaminess. Lastly, their prices are crazy low!!! I'm pretty sure that nothing is over $4. This place is delicious and I can't wait to try something else! read more

He had mentioned it's heavier as it has buttercream which it was. I would only recommend that if you are a fan of pistachios. But loved the experience overall. I had dinner with my parents at I luv pho a few nights ago and my mom wanted to try this place out because my aunt had told her that it was good. We came here around 7-8 and there wasn't anyone in there. There was still a pretty decent selection of pastries available. We decided to try the raspberry cookies, pistachio cookies, coconut cookies, a slice of pistachio cake, and an almond success. I mentioned to the man at the counter that it was our first time there. Since it was our first time there he offered us a deal on the croissants. He said that if we bought one we would get one free. I'm pretty sure he was just trying to get rid of the croissants but we still got suckered into buying one. Along with the rest of our goodies, we also got a cheese croissant and a thyme croissant. Everything was delicious. The almond success and the pistachio cake are my faves out of everything that I tried! The almond success is topped with shaved white chocolate and consists of layers of cream, almonds and a chewy layer. Everything about it is OMG so good! It sounds super sweet but it definitely wasn't. If you like almonds and white chocolate, this treat is a definite must! The pistachio cake was also super delicious. The cake was light and moist and the cream was not too sweet which I like. The cream tastes like an Italian buttercream which is my fave! This review is based on the tiramisu I got. First of all, they are doing good, and maybe changed counters a little bit. The whole store looks brighter. When I went there in 2pm, half of the cakes are gone. The other half left, still looks delicious. I got tiramisu, since it's a pain to bake it myself. The tiramisu had 5 layers, the mousse is soft and sweet, while the cakery layer is moist with espresso/coffee. Together, they made the taste delightful. Traditionally, the cakery layer should be made with ladyfingers, but most bakeries don't do that because it's hard to make, and takes time to bake. It would be awesome if they are made of lady fingers, and I would gladly gave them five-star. The price is good compare to those Korean bakeries. Georgia French bakery is a little better because they have better presentations. read more
