This review is based on the tiramisu I got. First of all, they are doing good, and maybe changed counters a little bit. The whole store looks brighter. When I went there in 2pm, half of the cakes are gone. The other half left, still looks delicious. I got tiramisu, since it's a pain to bake it myself. The tiramisu had 5 layers, the mousse is soft and sweet, while the cakery layer is moist with espresso/coffee. Together, they made the taste delightful. Traditionally, the cakery layer should be made with ladyfingers, but most bakeries don't do that because it's hard to make, and takes time to bake. It would be awesome if they are made of lady fingers, and I would gladly gave them five-star. The price is good compare to those Korean bakeries. Georgia French bakery is a little better because they have better presentations. read more

Showed up with my children at 7:25pm and the door was locked. The door says the bakery closes at 8:00pm and there was a gentleman standing inside but would not open the door. Our go-to bakery in Gwinnett. I love visiting this bakery as they are consistently good and fresh every time we stop by. The cakes and little sweets are perfection with a Lebanese twist. Everything is available with pistachios which makes things just a little better. Their baklava variants are quite possibly the best in the area when compared to Jerusalem Bakery (which themselves are pretty damned good). Their Napoleon is the best around, but the cake to get is the pistachio cake. Just writing about it makes my mouth water. Soft cake with lightly sweetened frosting, and those pistachios are there in every bite. Tasty. I love having an excuse to come back to this place, because there are always smiles from the staff, and usually a good conversation too. Art's Bakery cakes are very different from traditional American cakes. They are not super sweet or dense. They are light/fluffy and slightly sweet (as far as icing is concerned). The icings are lighter, whipped and creamy, as compared to the icing you find on traditional American birthday cakes (diabetes). This bakery is an amazing place with delicious sweets. Both the location and interior are unassuming and not at all reflective of the place's potential. The cakes are very light and tasty at decent prices. They are semi sweet and way better than the super sweet American cakes from the grocery stores, which allows me to eat more before getting a sugar high. My favorite is the pistachio cake. Any pistachio lover must try this. I also like the black forest and white chocolate; most of the stuff I've had from here is delicious. This is my second time ordering a special occasion cake from Art's Bakery, and they truly delivered once again. I ordered a cake on a little bit of short notice from Art's for a surprise anniversary party for my parents last month. I went in for a consultation once and Art sat down with me to go over the best design and flavor combination for my budget and occasion. I wasn't able to be in town to finalize the order, so I did it mostly through the phone, and the bakery was very accommodating. I ended up ordering one tier of almond vanilla cake and one tier of chocolate raspberry cake, and they were both light and delicious. Hands down one of my favorite bakeries. Tucked in between Blazin' Cajun and I Luv Pho sits an unassuming bakery that is filled with delicious diet killin' pastries. A friend and I walked in about 8ish on a weekday as it has been on both of our bookmarks and highly recommended by a trusty sweet tooth friend. We were greeted by Art himself who patiently waited for us to decide between what was left in the 3 display cases. On the far right were Middle eastern assortments of baklava's, pistachio and nut cakes. The display in the middle were cookies and the ones on the left were cakes. Each tray was labeled and Art readily answered any questions we had. To share, we decided on the Art's specialty. It is this wonderful, light, flaky pillow top like dessert that is filled with chantilly cream and fruit slices. Although the fruit was the canned cocktail variety, it was still beyond delicious. The crust was flaky enough to be light but sturdy enough to be a good foundation for all the cream. Seriously crazy good. However, it is so light that my palate was wondering if I was even eating a dessert if that makes sense. I also brought home an assortment of desserts to share with the brother and the SO: bakalava, pistachio cake, raspberry almond cake and the white chocolate success. The raspberry cake was a moist sponge cake surrounded by sliced almonds and a bit of raspberry jam on top. It was pretty good although the brother mentioned that it was a bit of almond overload. Now, the white chocolate success was just... wow. I LOVE white chocolate. But it is very temperamental to work with and can easily be chalky and excessively sweet. Art's was none of that. The white chocolate was perfectly sweet enough. The tart's crust was a bit chewy for me, but provided a nice base. I would get this again just so I can get the white chocolate shavings on top of the cake! You just gotta go here, trust me! read more

YES, ANOTHER BAKERY ON THE EAST SIDE! I was introduced to this bakery by a fellow Yelper and knew that I would have to visit after being told that it was Lebanese and French. When I was an undergrad student, my favorite bakery was French-Lebanese and had the best quiche and delicious pastries. They also had a lovely pistachio cream cake that my husband absolutely loved! Although it was bookmarked in my phone, I had difficulty reconciling the name of this bakery with its products because when I think of a bakery with the name Art, I think of a big guy from New York, (Arty), with a cigar hanging out of his mouth asking me what kind of jelly I want on my bagel! Weird! So after realizing that this is actually the name of the bakery, we entered to see what was available. To my dismay, there were no savory items at all, which means no delicious quiche! They also did not have any of the traditional french pastries that I love. This would be my husband's kind of bakery because he loves it big and fancy. He orders a slice of chocolate mousse cake along with some of the baklava inspired pastries. I decide to try the simple cinnamon pound cake along with some of the baklava pastries. Everything was okay, just not my cup of tea. My husband enjoyed his cake and awarded it four stars. We obviously have different tastes. Art's is a hidden gem in the plaza with the fancy mini Eiffel Tower and I Luv Pho. I actually heard about this place because my cousin had recently ordered a custom made groom's cake for his brother. I had tasted that cake and thought it was super delicious. I therefore decided to order my own custom groom's cake for my brother who was getting married in June. I came in for a consultation and was able to basically give Art an image of what I wanted. It was a Patriot's themed cake since my brother is a huge fan. I was able to order little Lego's figurines and my own custom cake topper - I gave these to him to add on. On the day of the wedding, I had other family members pick up the cake for me as I had best man duties. The cake was brought out at the end of my speech and wow, he loved it! The cake looked absolutely amazing and was a huge hit with my brother and everyone else at the wedding. Not only that, but the cake tasted absolutely delicious. In terms of their other pastries, I've only tried the tiramisu which was also really delicious. I definitely recommend working with Art for any custom cake orders, or just stop by for a yummy snack! read more

Just visited this place for the first time and I will definitely be back. The employees were friendly and eager to help. I'm a huge nut fan, so I went for the lady finger baklava, a walnut square and a piece of the pistachio cake, since there were so many raves about it in the reviews. Absolutely loved the baklava, but the cake wasn't really my style. I was expecting it to be a bit sweeter since some Yelpers said that it had buttercream icing, but it tasted like something whipped - and I hate whipped icing. Definitely not a bad cake, just a personal preference. I was, however, kind of disappointed that they didn't have any significant pastry options. They sell some large eclairs that are decent, but don't taste like anything extraordinary. As far as the baklava go, I will definitely try other varieties in the near future. I adore local French bakeries with every fiber of my being and I'm sad that it took me this long to come here when I hit up I Luv Pho once a week... Nonetheless, the ice is broken and has been added to my 2nd home list of places to eat often. We walked in close to 8pm on a Thursday night and I'm not even a bit sad that there aren't many pastries left. This just means that most of the damn good ones were sold out earlier in the day. There are three display cases, the one to the right is all Middle eastern pastries (Makaroon, Baklava, Burma etc...) the middle has cookies and croissants which are sold by the .lbs. The very front near the cash register displays all the cake slices (Strawberry Succes, Chocolate Success, Tiramisu, Raspberry Vanilla Cake, Black Forest, Chocolate Mouse Cake (with pistachios for ears and white chocolate for a tail, very adorable) and his infamous Art's Specialty pastry. Let me tell you about this specialty one... it's really special for a reason. It's light, delicate yet crunchy puff pastry topped with toasted almond slivers and dusted with confectioner's sugar. Between the puff pastry is a generous piping of Chantilly cream and fresh fruits. Oh my goodness, it was so delightful and we totally lucked out with one. The good news is that he makes them fresh every morning and you can call in advanced to place your order with Art. This cute little baker/cafe has been around for close to 5 years and I hope that it will continue to thrive.
