The customer service here is wonderful! The lady at the counter was very sweet and knowledgeable. The biggest downfall for me was I can't eat nuts and EVERYTHING contains nuts. What this bakery lacks in interior decor it makes up for it with... Well, everything! The service alone is reason enough to return. There is a Lebanese man running the counter (I'm not just assuming he's Lebanese. We had a very pleasant conversation and that came up!) and he is very friendly. I let him know it was my first visit and he was very patient and helpful while I tried to make a decision. The selection of pastries wasn't huge, but there was still a lot to choose from. Cupcakes, cake, ice cream, baklava, etc. I got an eclair, a slice of chocolate cake, and a chocolate Macaroon type dessert. The eclair was delicious, I LOVED the chocolate macaroon (messy to eat, but all the best things are), and I have not tried the cake yet. If it's like everything else, I will love it. The prices are extremely reasonable. I was able to her 4 pastries for a little over $8. I feel like I most definitely got my money's worth. I didn't choose a drink this time, however I will during future visits though. I was excited to try this place after reading the reviews, it also happen to be conveniently close to my house. When you walk in you're greeted by a nice gentleman who is excited to help you, I mentioned it was my first time and wondered if he recommended anything, he pointed to the pistachio cake which seemed to be popular by yelp users so I obliged. I also got a chocolate rat and a couple of other random cookies. We got to paying, he's distracted by trying to sell me a hookah which I declined, at some point he entered the same total twice and charged my card for a larger amount than what was due, I was very unhappy but didn't make a scene. His boss(the chef/Baker) came out to try to fix the problem and imediately told me he couldn't refund the money in my card, and that I must've pressed something when I clearly saw his employee charge me twice, but I again just let it go despite being blamed for a mistake YOU MADE. They gave me a cash refund and continuously told me I did something wrong so at this point I just wanted my food and get out of there because I wasn't enjoying my experience anymore. I get home and start eating and not only was the customer experience awful the baked goods were just as bad too; pistachio cake was dry and bland in flavor, the chocolate rat had a weird doughy texture and flavor lacked substance. If you're looking for somewhere new, tasty or interesting please skip this place, you will not find much here. read more

I got the mocha cake and honestly it was so dry. In the case it looked amazing but once I ate a bite it wasn't any better than a dry sponge. The buttercream was not flavorful at all, and seemed like it wasn't whipped enough because it was so dense. The chocolate 'ganache' covering it was cheap quality chocolate and was more of a hard shell than anything else. It was really unfortunate. read more

After looking for a cupcake place that is open on Sunday, I came across Art's Bakery. The website stated that they are open but upon my arrival I discovered that they decided to go on vacation. This place has been closed since January 1, 2015 and they will open again on January 10th. No cupcake for me! :( read more

This place has some of the greatest and most unique bakery items I've ever seen. Everything here looks great and tastes great. It's a quite nice, tiny, and comfortable place to come by and take some fancy cakes and deserts with. Everything here is relatively nicely priced, and the employees as well as the owners are also spectacular. They make you really enjoy the experience and wish you didn't have to leave. read more

This has to be the very best gourmet cake in GA. Do not waste your time going to Asian bakeries with European names. If you expect to pay chain prices and pick up a ready birthday cake that has been frozen, do not come here. Everything is made fresh from real ingredients, not powder. I just got a custom made birthday cake from them and it was amazing! This is the second time my family has gotten a cake from them. Not only do the cakes look beautiful, they taste great! The cakes that I've tried so far have the perfect level of sweetness. The cake base is always moist and soft but not too crumbly. The icing is light like a slightly thicker whipped cream and I love that. My favorite that I've tried so far is the pistachio almond cake. So. Stinkin'. Good. And the prices are reasonable too! Not to mention, the family that owns the place are very kind people. You can just see it in their eyes as soon as you walk in. Even though I made an order the day before, the baker was cooperative and made sure I was getting the cake I wanted. It may be a small bakery but the baked goods and customers are handled with big love, I think. I'm definitely going to be ordering birthday cakes from here from now on. read more

Hmm, I never noticed Art's out of all the hundreds of times I have eaten at I Luv Pho next door. Maybe i have but wasn't quite interested because I thought it was just another common korean bakery in Duluth. What got me to try this place out was that I was craving some dessert, didn't want any korean pastries, sweet hut was too far, cafe intermezzo was a drive also, so I thought of when my friend recommended the place. She told me about the variety of baked goods that they offered, and how it was to the perfect sweetness. I gave it a try, this place was a middle east/french bakery? It is really good, I tried the tiramisu that was a size of a brick for only $3.00! Everything else looked so yummy to, like the pistachio, and the chocolate rats, plus the chocolate mousse cake...oh I need more.. Everything is priced fair and really well, other places average is like $6 and up, didn't try any cappuccinos or coffee, because I'm not a fan of those drinks. They offer smoothies though, maybe one day for those. I'll just focus on the sweet desserts. Really yummy =) read more

Just made my first and last trip to Art's Bakery. Based on a rave about the coconut cake I made the tedious drive from Johns Creek, through lunchtime traffic. Arrived around 12:30 and was told that they were out of coconut cake. I was told that if I'd come back later today they'd have some available. In all fairness I'd been forewarned that the bakery's selection was often spotty. Yet, since the cake is supposedly one of Art's specialties I expected it to be an item that could be counted on. For me that is too much of a drive when any given product may or may not be available. Hope they'll work harder on serving their customers. read more
