Brand new cafe that seems to have gotten popular just by word of mouth! I tried the signature - Gong Gan latte - which came with a little croffle, as well as an iced latte. Love the simple decor, nice place to hang out and have a drink. The Gong Gan latte was fantastic. Quite sweet, but several layers because of the way it's made. Every sip tastes a bit different. The croffle was awesome, and finished off the nice dessert/coffee combo perfectly. Will be back!
Cream latte could've been a bit sweeter and the corn latte didn't taste much like corn but the black sesame croffle was good!
Finally visited Gong Gan after seeing all about it online during the soft open time and truly, this is cafe is in my top 5 in Duluth. Yes there are so many cafes/coffee shops here but this one is it. Plenty of parking at the large shopping center (where Spaland is) and inside is spacious as well. I went right to the employees at the register and said this was my first time here. He took the time to go through the menu and gave recommendations on drinks and treats. Since it was later in the day and I did not want a coffee drink, I opted for the matchest drink- matcha with matcha foam. Boy was it delicious. For a treat I was recommended the brown cheese croffle. I know what you are thinking- cheese? In a croffle? He explained that the cheese takes on a caramel flavor so that won me over. I am so glad I took his suggestion. The nuttiness and light hints of caramel in the croffle and the ice cream on top made it such a unique dessert that I am already dreaming about wanting again. I will definitely go back but earlier in the day so I can try a coffee drink. Hours, days and menu still limited during the soft opening period but well worth the visit.
Gong Gan far exceeds my expectations. At first, I thought it'd just be any other "new cafe" in Duluth. However, from their drinks, desserts and even chairs, they blow every other cafe out of the water. Service was quick to order, there is an employee that brings out the orders to you and not only that, they also offer free iced water. Ambiance wise, this place is unique. The chairs are funny-shaped, the bathroom is very very... strange-in-a-good-way. Overall, Gong Gan is a super nice addition to Duluth's cafe scene. 10/10!
The viral Gong Gan Atlanta just opened, in soft opening. New Korean viral cafe outside Atlanta, from LA to ATL. Seems like we have been waiting years for this location to open. Basically, in the same shopping center as two other famous local cafes. There is going to be some tough competition here. But, this is a totally new vibe that you haven't seen before in Georgia. Yes, they are open to the public. The space is large, modern, and open with gorgeously branded design and furniture. What makes this location special? The modern approach. A twist of old and new on the menu, atmosphere, and down to the branding. Old Korean flavors like injeolmi, Korean melon, and mugwort, mixed with flavors like Norwegian brown cheese and cottagecore mushroom themed cheesecake. Should you try it? Yes, because everyone has a different view point and preference. I hope you can try all the local businesses before naming a favorite. I purchased from the limited soft opening menu: 1. Corn Latte - Not too sweet, but also not as much corn flavor as I'm used to at other local cafes. I don't know it it always has this, but it included a complimentary piece of candied croffle on top that is perfect for dipping in the coffee foam. 2. Machest - Classic matcha latte with oat milk. Not too sweet and tastes like what I make at home. 3. Brown Cheese Croffle - This is one of the best quality croffles that I've had in Georgia. Large croffle, generously covered with Norwegian brown cheese, and a large portion of syrup on the side for drizzling. Scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Overall, I will definitely return to try more than once. This was just my initial review at soft opening.
So I ordered the pig bar but they forgot to put the strawberry sauce, the girl kept saying it's at the bottom but when I kept cutting there was none. I felt gaslighted and the coffee was watered down, but I mean it looks nice. Is it worth the flight from mia to atl, probably not...
Latte was creamy and has that strong coffee flavor - very impressed with this drink. Croffle is thick; crunchy on the outside but soft inside. Plenty of seatings; located in a large shopping center with ample parking spaces.

Just go early, because the line spills out the door and the popular drinks sell out fast. Walking in, the music hits you first. It's loud, it's lively, and it sets a tone that a lot of coffee shops try and fail to nail. The vibe here is genuinely fun -- the kind of place that feels like an event rather than just a caffeine stop. Packed during soft opening is always a good sign, and the crowd here felt earned. That said, come prepared. The line can stretch out the door, and if you're rolling in during the afternoon like we did, some drinks may already be sold out. Get there earlier than you think you need to. We went with the cream latte -- it's sweet, noticeably so, so keep that in mind if you prefer something more balanced. Still enjoyable, just know what you're ordering. The staff kept things moving smoothly despite the chaos, staying friendly throughout, which goes a long way when a place is this slammed during opening week. Once the soft opening rush settles, this one has all the makings of a standout spot. Service: 4/5 · Coffee: 4/5 · Atmosphere: 5/5
Cool hang out enhanced by their drinks. "A place to fulfill your emptiness" says their napkin. Another cute place to explore in Duluth. Even tho they give you a pager to indicate when your order is ready, a responsive staff brings your order to your table. Their strawberry latte was phenomenal choice for kids, made with real strawberries.
Loved this new Korean cafe in Duluth! It was fairly quiet when I went on a Friday afternoon, with just a couple of tables of people working. The aesthetic here is so whimsical and charming. Their drink menu is super fun and unique too. I tried the injeolmi mugwort latte, which was a little sweet for my taste but still really good. Overall, I loved the vibes and will definitely be back to work or hang out with friends!
I was very excited to try this cafe as I've been to the location in Flushing before. The parking lot was pretty full on a Saturday afternoon so I had to park on the other side close to Spa Land. The line was pretty long but moved quickly. I ordered the Gonggan Cream Latte which comes w a Croffle & the Blueberry Earl Gray French Toast. Both were good and not too sweet. The interior is decorated uniquely with natural finishes, but the chairs aren't the most comfortable or functional. There's also some seating outside. I want to come back and try other menu items.
Got the Gong Gan classic latte and it was delicious, highly recommend! Dunking the Croffle and the coffee gave best of both! Great place to hang with family & friends or go for a solo date! Everyone was so nice and helpful which made experience even better. Very much will be coming back!
Big space with both indoor and outdoor seating. You walk into a big open space with the counter right in front. All of the employees were very friendly and helped us decide what to get. Not sure if they usually do this or if they did it because they were busy, but one of the employees brought drinks to the tables (both indoor and outdoor) once he heard the buzzers go off). We ordered the corn latte (has coffee) and mugwort injeolmi latte (no coffee). I was a bit hesitant after ordering the mugwort but trusted the employee who said it was good. I'm glad I did! It was very unique and delicious! Mugwort taste was there but not too strong. I love injeolmi so that was a great touch to the drink! Corn latte was delicious too! It was a bit sweet, but it wasn't too overpowering! Mixed well with the coffee. I didn't get to try their desserts because we were too full from lunch, but next time I will have to try their mushroom dessert and one of the croffles!

Gong Gan is THE dessert spot, their food is great! I don't think I've had a better croffle anywhere else. I highly recommend the ube blackberry croffle, something about the texture + sauce makes for a heavenly combo. I took off a star for the decor and vibe. I think it's possible to have a minimalist vibe without seeming soulless. The chairs are uncomfortable to sit on, the lighting is odd, and generally, it's better to sit outside when you come haha. read more

First of all, it's cutesy but minimalist inside. The seating is not comfortable and they have left zero outlets for guests so it's clear they want you to move in and out quickly, which is fine. Just know that you won't be working/studying here all day. Ordering was a bit tedious - they don't post the menu on the wall so you have to get a clipboard with several pages to flip through. Our group tried a lot of the items - some were ok and some were great. Everything is a bit overpriced. Items that were liked: corn latte, affogato, pig bar, earl grey French toast, mango/coconut/grapefruit drink. A miss: dark chocolate latte, mango matcha latte. read more

After trying out the Gong Gan in LA, I was so excited for one to open closer to home. The ambiance, decor, and drinks were absolutely incredible. Service was amazing and our order was ready in less than five minutes. The black sesame croffle is crispy on the outside and chewy and fluffy on the inside. The strawberry matcha cloud was delicious - you can taste the fresh strawberries as opposed to a syrup. Everything was delicious and I can't wait to go back. read more
Just because the coffee shop scene in Duluth is saturated does not mean @gonggan.atl doesn't stand out. They attract large crowd due to their creative drinks, yummy dessert treats, spacious clean space to either work or casually hang out, and top-notched customer service. Per the server's recommendation, we tried the gonggan latte and the blueberry earl grey French toast. The gonggan latte has such delicious cream that pairs so well with the croffle. Beware, the coffee is strong!. The French toast was delicious, tho on a sweeter side. They're still in their soft opening phase and only opens Fri-Sunday for now (11AM-11PM). read more

I had been to their LA location when it first opened up so I was very happy to see them open one up in Duluth! I've tried a good amount of their menu and my favorites are: Gongan Latte Corn Latte Norwegian Cheese Croffle I'd skip the cheesecake. Pretty looking but mid taste. Also, the coconut matcha is a no go; no sweetness at all so it's very bitter and bland. Love the size of their croffles; made for sharing. The space is large and has good natural lighting. Nice place to hang for a bit but it does get super busy. Been here 3 times since it's opened and will definitely become a regular cafe for me :) read more

Reasonably priced and delicious. As other reviews have stated, the lattes are on the sweeter side. It pairs well with the toast I had, which was not as sweet despite how it looks. Most of the seating has little or no back rests which kind of annoys me but pretty much perfect otherwise read more
