Pastries

Such a cute place and good study spot! Prices are reasonable and service is quick. The food always tastes fresh and delish!

Is there a better donut/pastry in Atlanta than this one? Their croissant donut with custard cream and lemon zest icing! My new number one.

I been wanting to try this place, pass by so many times. I went in around 3:30 in the afternoon, most pastries were sold out. We got pastries and matcha frappe. The lady at the counter wasn't pleasant, maybe she had a long day. The pastries were just okay and my drink was bland. The new renovation was really nice. It's clean and lots of seating, it's quiet and brightly lit.

This is the first time I visited the location after the renovation. Day and night difference! Lots of seating! I was worried that there would be nothing in stock in the displays or sandwhich fridge on a sunday at 3pm(as this was my previous experience before they renovated), but to my surprise everything was well stocked and fresh despite the café being packed! I loved the quick service from the girls at the counter, making sure to ask me questions, going over everything clearly in Spanish and English. I'm bilingual but it's great to know that if my family comes here they can get the same great service I got today! Will be coming to this location more often! Good presentation, clean, and Everything tasted great!

A beautiful cafe on the Buford hwy. I love the pastries and the desserts here. My personal fav is the tiramisu cup. However, everything here is deliciously decadent and not overly sweet which is perfection for my palate. The drinks here are good too. It's self service so , you pick whatever you need. Parking is easy. They have another branch at dunwoody as well. I got my husbands birthday cake from here and we loved and devoured it. It was the mocha chocolate cake. *chefs kiss*

Cute bakery and dessert shop on Buford Highway. Crème brûlée donut was yummy with generous amount of the filling. It reminds me or sweet hut and prices are comparable.

Iced Coffee

I've always heard of this chain being popular in Korea, but I've never personally tried it until recently. Things you should know: I. LOCATION Off of Buford Highway. It has a free private parking lot with spaces in the front, side & back. II. SERVICE No complaints III. QUALITY The iced coffee isn't the greatest I've had ~ underwhelming quality, but large quantity. The pastries are pretty good though, but the competition on this street sets the bar rather high. When it comes to ambience, I'm usually one to camp out at cafes, but the interior in here isn't the coziest. It's what you'd think of when you imagine a franchise chain (which is exactly what it is, so). IV. CAPACITY Available seating for a Thursday mid-afternoon

Great service and atmosphere. Gave 4/5 stars for food because they don't have as much bakery options compared to the Perimeter location.

It even has managed to impress friends who don't adventure too far outside of their own American culinary tastes. The sweets here are the perfect amount of sweet. The savory items also contain a perfect hint of sweetness that somehow ties it all together. I've even had a matcha (less sugar) made here and my God it was unexpectedly delicious. I usually spend about $20-ish and share my bag full of goodies with my folks. I love that you can get a lot with a little -- the dollar still stretches here! Sometimes their open hours are a bit off, as if been before during regular hours and they've been closed. I'll also add that the entrance can be confusing as Family Baking shares space or simply is owned by Rolls Village. None of this stops me from stopping by. The cherry on top is that the service is truly phenomenal. I love being greeted where I spend money, and the guy who frequently mans the cash register has such great energy. He's efficient as hell too! When I visited, he skipped through the tipping portion of the POS both times... so I'm not sure if they accept tips but I won't complain too much about that LOL. Go!!!

I also got a drink here and it was some authentic tasting tea. Overall, love love love this place and will be back to get my fix of baked goods. My favorite is the cocktail bun ! I've had it from other places and the filling was scarce to none but not here !

As a No Big Whoop customer who lives in rural Virginia, the fact they ship their beautiful, delicious Whoopie Pies is such a win! I share these perfectly sized Whoopie Pies with friends, family, students, colleagues, and our school leadership and every single time someone asks, "WHERE did you get these??!?" Answering "I had them flown in from Atlanta" sounds pretty neat, right? Widdi, the owner and Head Creative person behind No Big Whoop regularly comes up with new flavors, including seasonals. While this bakery is local to Atlanta, GA, they also work outside the city limits creating customized Whoopie Pies for events, weddings, birthdays - you name it. Give them a try, a whirl, give yourself a BIG whoop! with these gorgeous Whoopie Pies. You will not regret you did.

Whoops! This is an overdue review from December…read more Xela Pan Cafe is a Guatemalan restaurant/bakery/convenience store on Buford Hwy in Doraville. Just a quick warning that, depending on which employee helps customers, there may be a slight issue with their understanding of English. They absolutely speak and understand Spanish. Xela Pan Cafe is in a small strip mall that is next to the strip mall where Kung Fu Tea is located. There is limited parking in front of the storefronts. This small business is made up of a restaurant, a bakery and a convenience store all run by the same employees. The convenience store sells a lot of seemingly random items, just about all in glass display cases. I noticed a lot of things to help with digestion and upset stomach, and hoped that this wasn't an indication of their food (Thankfully, it turned out that it wasn't!). The bakery items were in a separate area of display cases, but customers are free to self-serve themselves by using a tray to place whatever they choose, using either tongs or disposable gloves (I can't remember which they use) to take the items out of the cases. R and I came here for breakfast on a Sunday morning just before 9 am. There is an order counter, but that's for customers who are ordering items to go. Once the employees found out that we were going to eat breakfast inside the restaurant, we were told to seat ourselves and an employee would be by soon with menus. The restaurant area contains mostly booths, with some tables and chairs in an area between the order counter, convenience store and bakery areas. A very helpful and knowledgeable server came by our table, bringing a couple of glasses of water and menus. For a small restaurant, there were many items on the menu. We both ordered the scrambled eggs, rice, black beans, plantains and cheese. We didn't wait very long, in spite of other customers lined up at the counter to order takeout meals. The scrambled eggs with tomato and onion in them tasted a little bland, but I dressed it up with some bottled red hot sauce that was on the table. The plain tasting white rice, which had peas, carrots and corn in it, was pressed into a heart shape. The black beans in its watery sauce were very good. The plantains were cooked to a perfect firmness, and had a perfectly matching natural sweetness to them. The small block of slightly salty cheese also had a nice firmness to it. The price for each meal was very reasonable. Overall, this was a good dining experience.
