    Formerly known as Family Baking.

Rolls Village is located in Chinatown. I guess their former name was Family Baking. The pastries were super cheap (around $2 ish for the regular size) and pretty tasty. The drink selections were extensive (coffee and teas) and priced decently. The hubs and I bought a variety of pastries, and some were better than others. I remember one pastry had cream in the description, but the filling wasn't really there. Did they forget to fill it in?! Overall the quality and price point were decent. The hokkaido milk tea was decently sweet and to my liking. It catered to my sweet tooth and the hubs' less sugary preference. You get the option of either hot or cold. The cold version was flavorful. The 3 layer coffee was pretty good. The coffee wasn't super strong imo since there was a layer of milk and brown sugar. It was overall tasty and sweet enough for my taste buds. They had a sign that said a $10 minimum for credit card transactions, but if you're close then they don't fuss. I am sure they welcome the business. The foot traffic was quite decent for a Sunday afternoon with people coming in for both drinks and treats.

Omg rolls village has made my dreams come true with all the vegan options!! It is so hard to find Asian bakery buns made vegan. I am so happy I found rolls village !! The vegan "pork" floss bun is SO good. Exactly as I remember it. Yummy fluffy bun with the sweet mayo and floss topping. I wish I got more than one. Also loved the vegan coconut pandan bun, and red bean mochi!! The mochi made it super chewy and delicious. The regular red bean bun didn't have much red bean filling. They also had vegan mango cake which I didn't try. My family had the non-vegan pandan chiffon cake which I was told was super fluffy and yummy. Overall, I LOVE this bakery and so happy they have vegan options. Prices are very reasonable. Can't wait to be back !!

To help cure our food coma after lunch at Chinatown Food Court, we walked over to Rolls Village for coffee. The cashier was a sweetheart, and I loved that there were so many beverage and pastry options. All three of us got three different types of coffee and none of them were a disappointment. They had the perfect amount of sugar and enough caffeine to keep us awake. The Egg Tart was creamy and slightly sweet. We also tried the Cookie Cheesecake, which was way too sweet for any of us to finish. I'd pass on that one next time, but I'd definitely check out more of their baked goods.

Not sure why Family Baking needed to change their name when they expanded into Rolls Village. However, the new location is huge, although it seems like there are the same amount of breads/cakes available as before. The old "bakery" has seating and a "cafe" where you can purchase drinks. The new expansion is where the baked goods are now housed. I'm not a HUGE fan of their buns but I've always liked the egg tarts from Family Baking. I'm just glad they didn't change much during the expansion. Flaky pastry shell and tasty filling. They definitely rival Master Bakery's, for sure! It's also convenient because they accept card here, versus Master Bakery's cash only set up. See my review for Family Baking for more specifics!

I've been here twice, and the one thing I'd recommend is the BBQ Pork Bun. Everything else has been pretty middle of the road. I've tried the mango cake, the sausage bun, the Japanese cream bun, and the vegan hot dog floss bun. They're all okay. I've also had a (regular, non-flavored) latte and a matcha latte. The coffee was decent, no complaints. The matcha was my first time trying a hot version, so I can't really judge. I considered giving 4 stars just for the pork bun, which is legitimately tasty, a good example. But I've got to round down a little from maybe a 3.5 to a 3 based on overall mediocrity and an underwhelming atmosphere.

Stopped by this new bakery at Chinatown. Cute shop with all the usual classics at decent prices. They also venture into newer sweets like Japanese Cheesecake, unique rollcake flavors and fun looking breads. We bought one of their 4 flavor rollcake mixtures and generally enjoyed it. Will come back to try their egg tarts as they actually keep it warm in its own machine!

Rolls Village is a relatively new addition to the Atlanta Chinatown mall in Chamblee. This is a small, humble, low-key, and no-frills Chinese mom-and-pop bakery that opened in March 2019. It occupies one of the mall's street-facing storefronts, so you don't have to look hard to find it. The business has received stellar ratings on Yelp. Based on my experience, I wouldn't go as far as rating this place five stars, but we did enjoy the pastries we got from here. Service was nice and speedy too. This place serves Chinese/Asian pastries and tea beverages including milk tea and milk foam drinks with toppings (just like all the popular bubble tea shops). Like other Asian bakeries and cafes, items are prepared fresh daily for grab-and-go purchase. Unlike other Asian bakeries and cafes, Rolls Village doesn't have much to speak of in terms of ambiance and decor. It's all about the product here, at least for now. Also, this business is smaller than the competition in terms of size, staff, and selection. During our visit, the store was set up with a pastry warmer/heater display case, tables and shelves stocked with individually bagged breads and pastries, and refrigerators partially filled with cakes, other sweet desserts, and canned and bottled beverages. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, there was no dedicated seating, inside or outside, nor a restroom for customer use. If you want to eat or drink on-site, you can go to the mall's outdoor garden or take your food and bev to the indoor food court (it's open). There are restrooms at the food court too. Here are examples of offerings and prices I saw when we visited: - Heated Display Case - * Traditional Egg Tarts ($1.70) * Malaysia BBQ Pastries ($2.00) - Shelves - * Loaves of various breads, e.g. White Milk Toast ($3.75) * Pineapple Pastries ($1.50) * Honey Toast Bread ($1.50) * Caterpillar Coffee Bun ($1.60) * Taro Bun ($1.70) * Chiffon Cake ($1.20 per slice) - Tables - * Vegan Vanilla Butter Cream Bread ($1.60) * Vegan H.K. Bolo ("pineapple" bun, $1.60) * Vegan Red Bean Mochi Bun ($1.70) * Vegan Flossy Hot Dog ($1.80) * Vegan Red Bean Paste Bread ($1.70) * Mooncakes in assorted flavors ($2.80) - Fridges - * Vegan Black Forest Cake ($3.75) * Tiramisu Cupcake (in a cup, $4.25) * Chocolate Mousse Cake ($3.99) * Assorted roll cakes boxed together, 3-4 flavors per box ($5.49 per box); flavors included coffee walnut, chocolate, charcoal, flossy, pandan, matcha, vanilla, and sesame * Mango Jelly Mousse Cake ($4.25) * Cookies Cheese Cake ($4.25) As you can see, the prices were very affordable and Rolls Village had a lot of vegan options. One of tables was almost exclusively all vegan products. We picked up a few Egg Tarts, a Red Bean Mochi Bun, a Taro Bun, a couple Red Bean Paste Breads, and mooncakes in three flavors: Red Bean Snowy, Chocolate Snowy, and Lotus Snowy. I was a big fan of the Egg Tarts, Red Bean Mochi Bun, and Taro Bun. The Egg Tarts were terrific. I think they're some of the best you're going to find in Atlanta in terms of both taste and texture. The Red Bean Mochi Bun, topped with sesame seeds, was airy, fluffy, and filled with delectable red bean paste paired with fresh, soft, and chewy mochi. The Taro Bun was yummy with a nice balance of springy, appetizing bread and a tasty layer of taro in the middle. The Red Bean Paste Bread was good, but not what I was expecting. Instead of having a substantial red bean paste filling inside, it was a thin layer of red bean paste that was rolled into the bread and baked. I was probably wrongly expecting more of a Red Bean Paste Bun. My wife and mom liked it better than me. With the Mid-Autumn Festival today, Rolls Village had seven flavors of individually-packaged mooncakes in front of the register. These mooncakes tasted homemade and, while OK, I was a little underwhelmed by them. I've had processed and mass-produced mooncakes that tasted better. I thought the crusts on these were a little too hard and the fillings a bit too dense. I'd be willing to give them another chance. I'd like to come back and try some of the roll cakes, milk tea, and, based on comments from others, the Malaysia BBQ Pastries and fresh Pineapple Biscuits from the pastry warmer. I hear the latter two are especially delicious. Note: Family Baking and Rolls Village, next door, are both owned by Jane Chung. At the time of writing this review, the two stores are consolidated into a single space and effectively operate as the same business. We entered the Rolls Village space and Rolls Village was printed at the top of our receipt. I asked Jane and her husband Michael about this and they explained to me what I wrote above. If you look at the storefront signs for Family Baking and Rolls Village, you'll see they both say 5389 E (same suite). I've cross-posted this review and my pictures to the Family Baking page because Yelp has separate listings for Family Baking and Rolls Village: https://www.yelp.com/biz/family-baking-chamblee.

I found this little mom n pop shop in my quest to find something different last Sunday. I really should hit bakeries earlier in the day in the weekend as they were out of a lot of things but I grabbed a few to try. Nothing fancy about the decor but it's a clean shop. They're serious about their COVID precautions and I like that. It tells me a lot about their intentions for their customers. Very friendly gentlemen running the counter. I grabbed a couple buns and an egg tart. The pic looks bad because I dropped my bag on the way out the door. My items were extremely fresh and each packaged individually. Located in a small mall there was plenty of flat parking. Prices were amazingly low. Looking at some of the pics on here I'll have to go again and get some more it their delicious bake goods

Pretty basic Asian bakery. Not a ton of variety, but what I did have was very good! I would have liked more selection for sure.

The rolls are priced around $2.50 each and were soft and fresh. I went with the red bean bun and taro bun. Both were buttery and delicious, although they could use a little more filling. For $26, I got a ton of food and 90% of it was absolutely delectable. And I say that with an 8-year-old in tow who enjoyed it too! Let's start with the never again item: the Flossy Bun. It's a popular Chinese pastry made with soft, sweet bread filled and topped with sweet and savory pork floss... allegedly. There weren't any descriptions, so I looked it up online. But let me tell you--no. Just no. I don't get how it's popular. Definitely a cultural preference, and it's not for me. I even paused mid-bite hoping I'd grow into the flavor. Nope. Then there was the Coffee Butter Cream Pastry. I thought at the very least my fiancée would like it since she enjoys coffee flavors. That was another miss. I even gave some to two little ones, and the faces they made reminded me of the time I tried canned octopus. That's how bad the flavor was. But now to the good stuff--because the rest? Fire. BBQ Pork Bun - Yummy! Not packed with meat, but enough to enjoy and super easy to pull apart. I really wish they offered a heated option for this, because that would've put it over the top. Japanese Milk Cream Bun - Super creamy. I do wish it had just a little more cream inside, but the bread was so soft and delicious, I honestly didn't care. Hot Dog Cheese Bun - I got this for the little one and I've never seen a child eat something so fast. I'm taking that as a solid win. Egg Tart - Grabbed this from the front warmer after watching another customer snag one. I had missed it earlier. Not totally my thing on its own, but when I got home and added a little chili paste? Devoured. Hong Kong Boba Milk Tea - I went with this instead of the brown sugar version and kind of regret it, but it wasn't bad at all. All in all, the prices are great, the flavors were mostly on point, and the man at the register was super friendly and open to answering questions. Yeah--I'm sold. Looking forward to coming back!

If you know, you know. The pastries here are absolutely worth the detour--and honestly, wherever I see a Paris Baguette, I do pull over. That includes locations I've visited in Northern California, North Brunswick, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the one here in Charlotte down in Pineville. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent. Everything looked fresh, full, and irresistible. The setup inside is easy and efficient. It's self-serve: you grab a tray, line it with parchment, use the tongs, and select whatever catches your eye--from baguettes to cakes to coffee drinks. Checkout was quick, Apple Pay was accepted, and the whole experience felt smooth and well organized. The space was clean, friendly, and inviting, with plenty of outdoor seating. Bottom line: Whenever you see a Paris Baguette on your radar, pull over. It's dependable, delicious, and perfect for picking up pastries to share--or to treat yourself. For me, it's one of those rare places that delivers the same quality every single time, no matter the city--and that kind of consistency is something I truly appreciate as a traveler and lifelong foodie.

We were also looking for a general late afternoon snack... small enough that we could still eat a full dinner. Paris Baguette delivered on both of these items. Overall, I was impressed with the selection of everything. I had K-dogs on the brain for some reason and the closest I could get to that was the pastry frank. My niece had the hash brown bread with ham and cheese. I definitely preferred the latter a bit more, mostly because it's rare to find potatoes served in this way. We took a variety of the mochi donuts home. They tasted a bit stale unfortunately. I'd definitely come back to try the croissants, cakes, and other offerings. I reserved/ordered a cake on 03/24/2026 to be picked up on 03/26/2026 @ 9:00am (Today). When I ordered the cake I wanted something large enough that could give approximately 20 people a decent enough piece of cake to eat. The guy taking the order said a 10" cake is not shown in the display but it would probably be enough for 20 people. There was literally no special instructions, special messages or deviations from the same design that was in the display case. I asked if two days was sufficient time for this cake to be made and ready by 03/26/2026 at 9:00am to which he replied "the staff comes in at 3:00am and since it's two days it will be enough time". I paid and left. The morning of pickup (Today) approximately an hour before pickup time they called me from an unknown number several times and when I didn't pick up they texted me. They claimed they didn't see my order until this morning and that I needed to provide a week's notice for the type of cake I ordered (In direct conflict with what I was told on the day I ordered it). They then offered to push my pickup time back 3 hours and "try" to have it ready by then or give me a 7" cake and a 9" cake instead. After they messed up and didn't provide what I ordered in the first place, it's safe to say I didn't have much faith left in either of the alternatives they offered nor their word. I opted for a third option, my money back. This cake was supposed to be for a 96 year old grandmother's birthday and her friends. But never mind that, there's always next year, right?
