Cute, low key dessert place inside Hmart. Food: variety of items from sweet fish bread (pictured) to ice cream to egg waffle ice cream sets. Recommend getting the fish bread with Red bean and custard filling! It comes piping hot so be careful when initially eating! Service: took about 10-15 minutes from ordering to getting item. Patrons are given a number/food delivered to where patrons are seated. Ambiance: the store itself was clean and organized but the general hmart cafeteria needs work/cleaning. No one does any of the cleaning and patrons are left to clean themselves (although there are no cleaning supplies nearby).

Located in the Hmart in doraville, it's at the far end and it's such a cute little shop. Korean desserts and beverages and waffles are available here. Called aboong or taiyaki in Japanese, they make fresh fish waffles and bubble waffles and give you ice cream. Service is quick and friendly and I enjoyed. They have a couple of different options of things available and it's nice part of their food court there.

This novelty is worth at least one try, or a try once in a while. We'd just finished a rather modest food court lunch (which, these days, even 'modest' costs $13 a person without drinks!), when my wife saw this stall. They're famous, she says - which means we're going to try it, no questions asked. We decided to have the 10-piece 'fish' with half azuki bean and the other half a sort of cream custard. It takes about 5+ minutes to prepare, and they come out piping hot. "Voluminous" for the $9 it costs it is not (almost a buck a piece!) - but everything is expensive these days! Hard to pick a favorite flavor as each has its merits and its place - I mean, can you pick a favorite between Strawberries Romanoff and Crêpes Suzette? It was fun and tasty - what more could you ask for for $10?

Mmmm so good and made-to-order fish waffles or walnut shaped cookies filled with sweet red bean filling or custard. For my first visit, ordered the 5-pc walnut shape cookie with red bean filling for $4.99 ... honestly you should order the 10-pc b/c it's only a couple dollars more at $6.99. Be patient b/c it's just one lady working and you can tell she's working as hard as she can -- the wait will be worth it when you bite into the piping hot waffle cookies. So yummy. They're located on the far right side of the Super H Mart food court if you're facing the food stalls. They also serve shaved ice and ice cream.

After many years of meaning to try Yaki Yaki every time I'm at H Mart, I finally did and was a bit disappointed. I got the Aboong with coffee ice cream. The taiyaki itself was just OK in taste. I wasn't a fan of the toppings and the gummies got hard very fast. The ice cream consistently was good but could be more flavorful. Overall, definitely favor the taiyaki ice cream from Tea Leaf and Creamery

Taiyaki - half custard, half red bean

I can't believe I haven't rated it yet - I love this place! I tried this place out a couple months ago and ordered a bubble waffle and 10 taiyaki, half red bean and half custard. The man working at the counter was very welcoming and friendly. My bubble waffle was tasty and the perfect texture that I was used to when I was in Hong Kong. The red bean and custard fillings were both delicious, with the right level of sweetness, and the perfect filling ratio; the taiyaki themselves were fresh and crispy. I stopped by just to take a look a couple days ago (couldn't have ordered due to time constraints) and I'm not sure of the reason, but they had what looked like alligator-shaped waffles sitting on the counter. It was really cute!

This little gem located inside of H mart is delicious! I ordered the Taiyakis filled with Nutella and the lady told me it would take about 5 minutes. You could see them making it and they're fresh! They came out nice and warm and that first bite was AMAZING. I will definitely be coming back! The price is a little high, but you get 10 taiyakis and they're so good so I can look past that lol I paid $9.63 :)

How often I come to HMart in Doraville and never see Yaki Yaki or knew about it? At the food court, it's to the far most right side. I've eaten at the food court before but just never noticed it. I do think it's somewhat "new" since I see reviews as early as 2019. My friend suggested us to get some Korean desserts. She is Korean and says this place is legit and mentions she loves the Walnut Bread and says it reminds her of her childhood in South Korea. She also got mini fish shape bread, half red beans and half nutella. It was delicious! I got the Aboong Ice Cream, strawberry flavor. It was just too cute. I'm a sucker for anything cute. I love me some ice cream. There was other flavors of ice cream and the owner gave us a complimentary cup. I wanted to try peach. Honestly, I prefer the peach flavor over the strawberry! Overall, I did like the Aboong Ice Cream but I prefer it to not be decorated with so much. There was goldfish crackers and fruit loops cereal all over, topped with whipped cream and gummies with a strawberry pocky and custard fish on top too. I didn't see all that on the photo. If it was, I would ask to have it plain. 93/2020

    10 pc taiyaki

Great taiyaki for a reasonable price. A small hole in the wall, this place offers Lots of filling in the little waffle fishes. It was fun to watch them being made, as there was extra care taken to ensure that all the pastries were of good quality and kept all their gooey contents inside their warm exterior. There was the perfect amount of crunch in the fresh shell, making us want to eat all of them at once. Piping hot and delicious, if these don't warm your soul, the warm hospitality would be sure to do the job.

I will preface this by saying I loooove /mini fish waffles. This place is located in the Hmart food court. I came pretty much right before it closed but the worker still allowed my friends and I to order. We got a 10 piece mini fish waffle, half custard and half red bean. The sign outside the window says they don't use oil when making the waffles and it shows. The outside is super crisp but not oily! The custard had a very good vanilla flavor and consistency. It wasn't too runny but it wasn't super stiff, although stiffness is hard to determine while it's piping hot. I'm personally not a fan of red bean but the people I was sharing with like it. I tried a few bites and it was fine. Overall I really liked the fish waffles here. I definitely want to try the fish waffle ice cream cone once it gets warmer and maybe some of the other things! Definitely recommend it!

I'm not sure if we're *allowed* to park in the nearby parking lots, and I didn't have to, but if there's only like 6 spaces with barely enough space for cars to pass through entering and exiting... idk, it's not for me, esp when Doraville can get v traffick-y and the turn lanes are just waiting. Interior wise, it's cute. It tries to invoke a sense of Japanese aesthetic with the shoji panels, all the wood and light, the fake flowers, and I don't hate it. It's a fine place to sit and chat, though I feel bad for others who want to visit because again, the parking here sucks. I got their black sesame latte float with a matcha and sakura (seasonal flavor) swirl. The sakura was sweeter than anticipated and not floral, which was a bit disappointing since I didn't like it alone or mixing with the matcha flavor. The black sesame portion was fine. I like the nuttiness of black sesame in general, and I would've loved if they used more for a stronger flavor. The flavor was subtle, and with the ice and soft serve on top, got easily diluted.
