This location is a little tricky to find and also really small but if you are at the subway you are in the right place you just need to walk to the back of the building. I went late on a Friday night and the place was packed but Mike was awesome and got us all in and out he even made a banana pudding cookie for me as they weren't iced and ready to go.

Sugar Shane's Midtown Uber Eats delivery. Clear plastic bag and box with Sugar Shane's branding.

Sugar Shane's Midtown location has quite the five-star distribution on Yelp. We thought the cookies and pound cake were really good. I can see why people gave this place five stars. However, it didn't hit that extra level for me. Don't get me wrong, though. I recommend this place if you're looking for good cookies/treats in Midtown. We ordered Sugar Shane's this past Friday after seeing and taking advantage of an Uber Eats free delivery offer. The offer popped up in the Uber app after we placed a dinner order with SriThai Atlantic Station. So this was like dessert. Our order was delivered by someone on an e-scooter (in contrast, our SriThai order was delivered by a robot). Sugar Shane's Midtown location storefront is hidden from street view. Drive down the parking lot, behind the Subway. The store is hidden on the back side of the building. My wife and I had two Chocolate Chip cookies ($6.00 each), one Banana Pudding cookie ($7.20), and one Banana Crumble pound cake slice ($7.20). In general, everything was satisfyingly sweet, delicious, and dangerously addictive. The cookies were nice and big, as was the cake slice. My wife didn't like the Chocolate Chip cookies that much because they had too much chocolate. That's actually what I liked about them (lots of chocolate chips), but it's a personal preference. I did think the Chocolate Chip cookies were a bit salty. We agreed on the Banana Pudding cookie. It was terrific; an ideal combination of both flavor and texture. The Banana Pudding cookie came with a light and creamy icing on top. My wife liked the Banana Crumble pound cake more than me. I thought it was tasty, but a little too hard and dry. The Crumble was drizzled with frosting on top. The subtotal for our four items was $26.40. The surcharges were: Delivery Fee: $1.99 Service Fee: $5.02 Tax: $2.08 Tip: $7.44 Delivery Discount: -$1.99 Membership Benefit (Uber One via Amex Platinum): -$2.04 Multi-Order Discount: -$1.00 Special Offers: -$6.00 The total was $31.90 or $7.98 per cookie or cake slice. When I started writing this review, I happened to see Sarah P's 3/15/2022 review saying the reheating instructions were missing online. Well here they are, as found on the side of the box: Cookie Reheat Instructions: * Air Fryer (preferred): 325°F, 3-5 minutes * Oven: 275°F, 7-10 minutes * Microwave: Cookies wrapped in a damp paper towel, 10-20 seconds Brownie Reheat Instructions: * Microwave: Brownie wrapped in a damp paper towel, 10 seconds I also took a picture: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sugar-shanes-atlanta?select=ALZIAuh1-e_J_eaRXPZm7w&userid=j14WgRoU_-2ZE1aw1dXrJg There are now four Sugar Shane's locations in metro Atlanta: 1. Midtown (this one, the original) - opened March 2020 2. Sandy Springs - opened July 2022 3. Ponce City Market - opened March 2023 4. Kennesaw - opened February 2024

I wasn't impressed in my visit to Sugar Shane's. The location is in the back garage area behind a Subway and grocery, so we certainly aren't here for the aesthetics. The staff was extremely pleasant when I ordered and even offered me a free chocolate chip cookie since it was my first time. I tried the cookies & cream: fairly dry cookie with sweet white chocolate in the middle but no real flavor other than overwhelming sweetness. The "Juventus 2026" weekly flavor which was a white chocolate chip Oreo cookie with chocolate buttercream on top. It was very similar to the cookies & cream but with added buttercream, and the buttercream was terrible, somehow a notch below store bought frosting. I was shocked how little Oreo flavor (or overall flavor) either cookie had. The chocolate chip cookie was by far the best. It still wasn't great because the cookie was a bit dry, even when warmed, but the plethora of melty chocolate chips was enjoyable. Overall, the cookies all look amazing, but the quality and taste were big letdowns.

Service - let's start with the service, everyone was super friendly and down to earth! Felt very welcomed and I wasn't rushed at all in my decision making. Food- I ordered the brownie and coming from a brownie lover it was delicious, soft and yummy!! I also ordered chocolate chip cookie and cookies n cream cookies, they were both yummy I will say more on the sweet side! Ambiance- cute area, they have a sign in the walkway for photos, minimal outdoor seating outside, not seating inside but a super cool view of the kitchen where the magic happens!

Don't sleep on these cookies!! They put ALL those other cookie companies to shame. These cookies are dense, moist, and full of flavor. Every cookie they invent outdoes the last. They've recently switched out all those fake dyes and ingredients other people use for high quality, natural ingredients. Here's my top faves - The Bulldog - a red velvet combined with house made Oreos. The S'mores - just like it sounds. Ooey-gooey goodness meats thick cookie. The Betty White - Golden Oreos (house made) with white chocolate chips Anything Dubai Chocolate that they're selling whether it's a bar, cookie, or brownie. All DELICIOUS! Even cookies I did not think I would like were 10/10 the best cookies I've had. Absolutely worth the drive!

Cookies n cream. My go to for sure.

The food and the service and the atmosphere are amazing. I come here to truly get a level of quality that is hard to find in other places.

I have been in love with Sugar Shane's since my first experience with the brand. However, it may be time for me to rethink my cookie fix. Arriving at Sugar Shane's - Midtown I was super excited. I could smell the fresh cookies as I exited the car. As I got closer to the door my stomach, brain, and taste buds all got happy. LoL! I walked in and everyone was super busy working. The main person in the front welcomed me in and stated they would be with us in a moment... as I waited for that moment I explored the cookie case which had very few options. I looked around for a "Flavors of the Day" sign and I saw one for Ice Cream but not for the cookies. After about 5 minutes, the staffer apologized for the delay and asked what I would like to order. I asked if the cookies in the case were the only ones available and he asked me what kind of cookie did I want. Cookie 101: when a person is visiting a cookie bakery, you never ask them what kind of cookie they want. The point in walking inside is to experience the flavors that are available. Furthermore, when the cookie bakery is a specialty bakery, that is all the more reason not to ask what kind of cookie a person wants as we come inside to experience the creation of Sugar Shane's - Midtown. Ok. Back to the store... as I was caught off guard by the lack of offerings, I chose a Cookies N' Cream Cookie and also ordered a. Scoop of the Cherry Blueberry Crunch Ice Cream. My cookie was packed. Ice cream scooped. I paid, and was out the door. As soon as I got in the car I opened the ice cream. Don't judge me! lol!!!! It looked sooooooooo good. The ice cream flavor put me in the mindset of a cobbler. Though I love a good fruit cobbler, the ice cream wasn't a win for me. The texture was grainy and there seemed to be more ice than there was cream. I wasn't able to go beyond scoop number 2 as the small Icicles were disrupting my experience. All in all, 3/10. The cookie was... it was a nice big cookie with a great flavor profile. It wasn't the Sugar Shane's - Midtown experience I remember. All in all, I think this visit to Sugar Shane's - Midtown has caused me pause as a consumer for a while. I might try one of the other locations and see if the spark comes back.

Betty White- If you like golden Oreos you will love this cookie. It's the golden Oreo on steroids. Very rich, crunchy and soft when warmed Chocolate Chip Walnut- One of my favorite cookies is the chocolate chip walnut cookie at Levain Bakery in NY. This wasn't anything like it but it was okay, kinda bready to me. Mariah Caramel- A lemon caramel cookie that I couldn't get enough of. I loved it, never thought the lemon and caramel would go so well together but this cookie was perfect.

We did delivery and got a collection of fine fare! The chocolate & Peanut Butter cookies were everything you would hope! the Best! We also tried Banana Bread, cheesecake brownie and a Betty White. The Betty White was really good too. Great finish to any meal. Or maybe it is the meal, no judgement here!

These are the best cookies I have ever had the pleasure of trying. And I am so upset that they don't have locations in Houston Texas. These cookies are everything you dream the perfect cookie should be. Fluffy, chewy, warm center, thick/tall, perfect size. They give you that melt in your mouth sensation. This is a small little hole in the wall establishment, but they do also have a location in ponce city market. I've been to both locations and I can tell you that they taste just the same. Service at both are always quick and friendly. Anytime I'm in Atlanta I make it a mission to come here and get these cookies. They will not disappoint. If I could change anything, it would be for them to open more locations-- especially in Houston Texas please

    Smores and Halle berry
    Kevin W.

I love these cookies. They are about $6 each but they are also the size of like 5 cookies combined. They have all different types of flavors which are unique and seems gourmet. This venue is behind a Subway and you cannot see it from the street. The venue is literally in the garage area of the Subway. Staff is nice. They always offer to warm up your cookies. I ordered the Smores and Halle Berry. The Halle Berry is a strawberry cookie. Both tasted great and are thick. Be sure to warm the cookies up.

I love the quirkiness and charm of this location

The place is not large however, the cases are definitely filled with a lot of goodies. On this particular day, it did take us a little while to make a decision as there are quite a few choices. I called in the morning to confirm the time they serve it. I was told to get here by 12:30pm because they serve the burgers at 1pm and the line gets long and they run out. Found out later in line from the person in front of me that they make 130-170 burgers and they sell them all. That's a lot of burgers. I thought it was all hype because I got there at 12:20pm and there was no line. I went in and asked to make sure this was the right place, the guy said to wait outside, they start selling it at 1pm. I was 1st in line. Waited 5 mins then went to my car to get my headphones. By the time I came back, 3 people were now in front of me. I guess the 12:30pm recommendation was valid. By 12:35pm there were 20 people behind me. I do not like waiting, so I'm glad I was early to at least be served 1st. Never been here before, they are busy. When I got here, it was packed with people buying bread and pastries inside. I didn't get to buy the sourdough bread. It was sold out. Apparently, the locals come every Sunday for this burger. I guess they hang a burger flag out when it's burger time some of the people in the line in front of me felt a way that they didn't do that this time. I guess they're getting comfortable and just trying to knock the rush/crowd out. I think coming at one would be fine if they're selling 170 burgers I think the problem is they don't limit the amount of burgers you can buy. At least I don't think so. Now for this burger. Not worth it. Not worth the wait or the hype. I'm still surprised how basic tasted. They need a housemate sauce or something on it. It's literally just one burger and pickles. If it was pack full of flavor and well seasoned, that would be enough. But it's not. The best part about it is the bun. And 30mins after eating the burger, I didn't feel so good. My stomach started hurting, and that was the only thing I ate all day. I avoid eating beef altogether, but I will here and there as of late. My boyfriend eats beef, but he started feeling sick maybe an hour later as well. I was disappointed because I didn't know they pre-make the burgers and just throw them in the bag. You can't customize it or anything. I think we got sick because the burgers were medium. They were not cooked well, and I always get beef burgers cooked all the way through. The way they're rushing you out of there like an express assembly line is crazy. I really wanted to wait to ask them to prepare me two, made well since they were making burgers as they were going along, I believe. I would have waited to have them made well but the way they were rushing you out, it just wasn't the place to ask for anything extra or additional and I don't like places like that. Too strict too many rules and you don't feel comfortable. Even though you're spending $70 on 2 burgers and some pastries. Compared to a pack of ground beef to make your own burgers, this is a lot. I bought two burgers $17 each, and 5 pastries to try because I won't be coming back here anytime soon. I will say, great pastry selection. I was talking to a guy in line and I asked him if he ever had the kouign amann. It looked good. He said yes, it was good, and the chocolate kouign amann, he's going to try as well. I purchased a chocolate kouign amann, a regular kouign amann, cardamom bun, a hazelnut bun, and monkey bread. I wrote everything down outside that I was going to buy so I didn't waste any time. I already spotted the monkey bread when I walked in. The woman packaging up the food was about to fix her face to say they didn't have any monkey bread, when they were clearly at the other end. Maybe that was her doing me a favor because I was highly disappointed in the monkey bread. I'm on a monkey bread kick, and I have been trying it at a lot of places. This one was not good. They sprinkle lemon zest on it, which kind of threw me off, and the bread itself was very dry even after warming it up, adding melted butter and honey. It still was not good. The best thing was the original kouign amann. The chocolate one was not good because they have chocolate on the inside kind of like moose or ganache, but it was overwhelming. It tasted like dark cocoa chocolate, and I thought the pastry was dark because the whole thing was chocolate, but it actually was burnt. A lot of the items looked burnt to be honest. I think the demand is getting to this place. The cardamom bun was just ok. The hazelnut bun was just an extension of the monkey bread to me. Not a fan. I remember growing up, we went to the local butcher and bakery to get fresh meat, bread, and pastries for cheap. I like the idea of a local bakery and butcher shop like this, but this place is not cheap. I'd skip this one.

One of my friends recommended this spot, and I really didn't know what to expect--but she hyped it…read moreup, it wasn't far, and I figured why not? I'm so glad I gave it a shot. For $26, I got a ton of food and 90% of it was absolutely delectable. And I say that with an 8-year-old in tow who enjoyed it too! Let's start with the never again item: the Flossy Bun. It's a popular Chinese pastry made with soft, sweet bread filled and topped with sweet and savory pork floss... allegedly. There weren't any descriptions, so I looked it up online. But let me tell you--no. Just no. I don't get how it's popular. Definitely a cultural preference, and it's not for me. I even paused mid-bite hoping I'd grow into the flavor. Nope. Then there was the Coffee Butter Cream Pastry. I thought at the very least my fiancée would like it since she enjoys coffee flavors. That was another miss. I even gave some to two little ones, and the faces they made reminded me of the time I tried canned octopus. That's how bad the flavor was. But now to the good stuff--because the rest? Fire. BBQ Pork Bun - Yummy! Not packed with meat, but enough to enjoy and super easy to pull apart. I really wish they offered a heated option for this, because that would've put it over the top. Japanese Milk Cream Bun - Super creamy. I do wish it had just a little more cream inside, but the bread was so soft and delicious, I honestly didn't care. Hot Dog Cheese Bun - I got this for the little one and I've never seen a child eat something so fast. I'm taking that as a solid win. Egg Tart - Grabbed this from the front warmer after watching another customer snag one. I had missed it earlier. Not totally my thing on its own, but when I got home and added a little chili paste? Devoured. Hong Kong Boba Milk Tea - I went with this instead of the brown sugar version and kind of regret it, but it wasn't bad at all. All in all, the prices are great, the flavors were mostly on point, and the man at the register was super friendly and open to answering questions. Yeah--I'm sold. Looking forward to coming back!
