I had high hopes for this cafe as I've been to the location in Duluth. However, I did not enjoy my drink. The Hawaiian macademia latte was overpowering in coffee and had a sticky or artificial syrup taste. This type of loud atmosphere is not my cup of tea. Not only was it very busy with lots of chatter, they blast the music pretty loud to the point I can hear it over my headphones. There's also not that many outlets. I only found one right by the door to the left where you collect your drinks. I saw another by the couches on the fair end but it has the lights plugged in. Parking is very small and cramped. It's not very convenient, but you might be able to luck out and find a spot in the tight lot. read more

One of the many Mozart bakeries peppered around the Atlanta area, this one is right in the middle of Buford Hwy in Doraville. It has a bit of a smaller selection, but still has a large, cute inside great for meeting with people or for quiet work. Staff were nice and attentive for a moderately busy afternoon, helped us decide on drink and pastry choices. Coffee was a bit disappointing (burnt taste to the bean) but the honey yuzu tea was wonderful for a frigid day outside. Prices can be a bit high for pastries, but the real secret is the day old bread display by the counter, 30% off all products here! Your mileage obviously will vary on eating day-old bread, but we fridge and then warm all of our pastries and haven't had an issue with taste or freshness. Personal favourites include the mocha cake, Oreo mousse, tiramisu, cookies and cream, and the monster bread (jam and cream). Free parking in lot out front, though warning that turning left into the lot from Buford Hwy can be a bit of an annoying adventure. read more

From the outside, the building doesn't looks so great, but you walk in and it's beautiful! Clean, nice booths and seating area. We got there right after it opened in the morning and while we were able to get drinks and choose some pastries, it seemed like the bulk of the pastries weren't put out until an hour or so later so we missed some. There were also yesterday's day-old pastries discounted at the counter. I had a bubble tea and it wasn't as good as a bubble tea special store but not bad, and I had a cookie which was pretty decent as well. I'd want to come back to try all the pastries that looked good, and a good variety since we were there too early this time. read more

We wanted to try a new pastry shop and heard good things about Mozart. Upon walking in, we were not greeted at all by the staff. There were two workers there, a woman and a younger man. The woman was not being pleasant at all and snuffed at our group while we were trying to look around at the pastries selection that they had. The shop itself was clean, bright, and would be a great place to do work or study if you're a student. The young man behind the counter just stared at us without a smile or anything. Customer service is definitely lacking and I wished they would try to be at least presentable and somewhat pleasant to us. We got the following items: Sausage bun: 7/10 - pretty solid bun with lots of the sausage flavor. We enjoyed this bun very much. It's like an elevated pigs in a blanket. Cornbread: 3/10 - compared to the last bakery we tried, this one was so dry and the texture was not great. It did have more pieces of corn kernels in the pastry though. There were pieces of nuts also in the pastry. But overall, it was too dense, not enough flavor, and really really, really dry. I tried eating more of it but I couldn't stomach more than two bites. I didn't taste the distinct flavor of cornbread at all. Again, this may be their own version of cornbread so ill give them the benefit of the doubt. Honeydew smoothie with lychee jelly and tapioca: 7/10 - it was delicious! I loved the hints or lychee flavor from the jelly against the honeydew flavor. The tapioca pearls were perfect, bouncy, chewy, and flavorful. If you don't like artificial honeydew flavor, then you probably won't enjoy this flavor. I love honeydew flavor, both natural and artificial. Lavender latte: 7/10 - I didn't get this, but my friend had this drink and she seemed to enjoyed it a bit. This was her rating. Matcha latte: 8/10 - my husband got this and he said it was pretty delicious. It's made like how he loves his latte, made with pure matcha and milk only (no espresso). This was his rating. Overall, I don't know if would come back if I'm in the area, because the staff's demeanor made us feel like we weren't welcomed. The woman even rolled her eyes at my friend when she asked for her latte to be less sweetened. We're paying customers and we're pretty respectful and nice to them and if they're willing to not provide us with at least, the minimum service, then it's not worth coming back. It's disappointing because I was pretty excited to come here since we only get Mozart pastries shipped to our local Asian markets in Jacksonville. read more

Treats were still nice with tasty cakes on display. We chose to order a grapefruit refresher which they make themselves. I've been coming here for years. I love their Spanish latte and the tiramisu and raspberry mousse are my favorite,but you can't go wrong with any of the choices. I've been to Mozart Bakery multiple times as a kid, so I know what to expect! I came here with my girlfriend to do some stuff done over the holiday. As always, the indoors are extremely clean, the food is always freshly made, and the ambience is exactly what you want in a coffee store. Quiet coffee noise with subtle music in the background. I love working here because of the serene environment and tasty pastries and coffee. I got the iced vanilla latte and fresh creme mocha cake. The latte is sweet and bitter, but not too much of either. The perfect combination of a iced caffeinated drink. The cake is a pleasant spongey texture with a light mocha cream on top. The airiness of the cake combined with the light creme complement each other, resulting in a delicious snack. The combo brings vigor to my work efficiency! Can't recommend this place enough. This Cafe Mozart is older, more quiet and less busy -- one reason may be the lack of outlets. There is only one outlet which is in the very back table nearest the men's restroom. So most of the crowd here are people actually talking to one another -- whereas the other Cafe Mozart near Oakcliff Rd intersection is a mix of people talking and working on their laptops. They've got a good assortment of pastries and hot/cold beverages. Lately I've gotten their fresh mango juice ($4.99) - tasty but super sweet. I watched them make it - I think there are only a few mango pieces and a lot of sugar water so if you want it less sweet, make sure you request that. I had a great experience at Mozart's. The woman behind the counter was very friendly, and I was impressed with the Castella Sponge Cake and my latte. The ambience is quiet, calm, and a great place to get work done. Lots of seating and a beautiful interior. It is a shame it's right off a really busy street that's hard to get into. This location is declining in quality because of the limited offerings and obviously poor service. The dining areas are outdated and not maintained, bathroom facilities are not kept clean and there seems to be a lot of patronizing the guests. Go down the street in either direction to Sweet Hut or Paris Baguette and enter a friendly environment and more appealing drinks/pastries. Note to the store: get better help or learn to appreciate your customers. Your products alone will not save you from the increasingly popular offerings of other bakeries. read more

After frequenting this location of Mozart Bakery the past few years, I realized I've never checked in or reviewed this bakery. Mozart Bakery is one of the first Korean bakeries I've ever been to. The quiet cafe is a little dim but calm. It's almost always empty when I come in to get a coffee or a bread. Their cakes are always a semi-sweet alternative to the sugary American cakes you find in grocery stores (not dissing on Publix bakery, though). I came in to grab a latte and maybe a bread or two. I ended up with a whole loaf of their day old bread (50% off!) and a Thai tea latte. The bread is fragrant from the butter. And after toasting it, it's pretty freaking delicious. The Thai tea latte disappointingly had no latte art and tasted strongly of milk. Note there is a $5 card minimum and they don't accept Amex. Prices are pretty steep but comparable with its Korean bakery counterparts on Buford Highway (White Windmill and Paris Baguette). If you're looking for a quiet place to study or do work, this is the place to be. The individual booth style tables makes for a private place to jam things out or have an intimate conversation. I don't think I would go out of my way to come to Mozart, but I wouldn't mind meeting a friend here for coffee or dessert! read more

Brrrr, on this adventurous day where I am trying new things, this was the saddest part. - OVERLY SWEET AND VERY BASIC CAKES. Mango mousse was horrible. The mocha cake was just so basic, clearly bag mix. Overly sweet. - PEACH TEA? This is not peach tea. It's berry color, it does not taste like peach and is ridiculously sweet. - DOES NOT MATCH UP TO SWEET HUT OR PARIS BAGUETTE. If you've been to either, you will be very disappointed. It just does not compare unfortunately. The ambiance is decent, but that's about all it has going for it. If they think that drowning everything in sugar will conceal the poor quality of ingredients, they are very wrong. Ps. Parking is easy and there is wifi, although I can't attest to the speed of it. The Mozart Bakery is one of those "hidden gems" that you usually find out about through your friends. Back when our dining group was involved in the "Buford Hwy Restaurant Crawl" we would sample various restaurants along BufHy, frequently ending up at the Mozart for a final coffee and dessert. Mozart seems to be owned by and mostly staffed by the same Korean family - super cordial and and hard working - to supply its customers with the best in coffee creations and fresh-baked confections. I think my favorite are the red-bean-filled "boobs" but I've sampled several of the packaged items as well as the offerings in the case. I think what I like best about this bakery is that everything isn't excessively sweet - it seems like most bakeries these days think everything is supposed to taste like a Crispy Creme glazed doughnut - they're much more conservative with the use of sugar here. As already mentioned, the staff are some of the friendliest and accommodating people you will ever meet. It's always a treat to stop here. read more

I can see why people like this place. It's very clean, spacious, and when I went, it was quiet. Seemed like a good place to get some down-time and read a book or something. I had a pineapple slushy thing with some boba in it. They call this thing their "bubble tea." The boba seemed off. Not that smooth, and not thoroughly soaked / cooked. But the pineapple part was tasty. And the baked goods were good, too. There are a couple of dessert items on the menu I'm going to have to come back and try. I'm definitely going to keep Mozart in mind if I ever need a cool, quiet place to stop off and do some work. read more

I've been coming to this bakery since forever. Primarily to buy a cake for a birthday occasion. The Cappucino/Mocha cake. It's delicious. With that said, I recently visited with a friend to buy some baked goods. I bought: Marble Coffee Cake, Madeleine, 2 Macaroons (Mocha and Green Tea), and Red Bean Pastry. The Macaroons were okay. My friends have raved about it with pictures I have seen on Instagram and statuses on Facebook. Nothing special. I thought macaroons were suppose to be softer, not crunchy on the exterior. The cream inside was pretty good though. So the following day I decided to eat my marble coffee cake for breakfast with my cup of dark roast coffee. Tell me why it was sitting in grease/oil within the package. It was very dry, not moist at all. It was not good. To mention I did check the "best by" date before buying, but I assumed it's made fresh every day so went ahead and bought it. Everything else was okay though. The music-themed interior was very attractive and I liked the calm and comfy atmosphere. This is a tea review only. I haven't had any of the baked goods here at Mozart Bakery, but the selection is immense. Sweet and savory snacks galore. The iced teas and bubble teas come in one size, 16 ounces. Both are $3.99 before tax. Though with the bubble teas, you get a little more due to the domed lid. I though the iced tea was a little overpriced though. I asked for the raspberry iced tea without sugar, and even though I was informed that there was sugar in the powder, somehow a Bigelow raspberry tea bag was procured and used. That was some nice customer service. The bubble tea is not what you'd expect if you've had it at other spots nearby. It's more of a blended ice beverage. Unless I completely misinterpreted the menu board, this wasn't very clear. The bubbles reminded me of what happens when you put gummy bears on top of frozen yogurt: they get all tough and rubbery. But the drink itself was super tasty. It'd be perfect for a typical sweltering Atlanta summer day. The flavors are mostly of the fruity kind; I got passionfruit. Service is pretty nice. The older woman working is soft-spoken and not fluent in English, so it was a little hard to understand her. The seating space is large and roomy, and it never seems too busy at Mozart. Mozart is an old school Korean bakery and cafe that has been in Buford Hwy for a long time. They sell your typical Korean desserts, pastries, cakes, drinks, and so on. It looks clean inside. It looks like a popular hangout place for both old and young Koreans. I have had many things here, and they all tasted good. Since I'm a green tea lover, one of my favorite snack items are the green tea macaroons. I love the sweet, green tea flavor they have. We have gotten their birthday cakes before. And like all, good, Asian birthday cakes, they are delicious. They are all fluffy and full of good flavor. They don't seem boring as the American birthday cakes. Of course, unless you get it someplace fancy like Piece of Cake. But you can say Mozart is a fancy bakery. Overall, I think they provide fresh dessert items. They don't have smoothies though like certain boba tea shops. But they're a bakery, not a boba tea shop. So expect more baked goods type stuff instead of drinks. Before Sweet Hut, before White Windmill, there was Mozart. It's such a nostalgic place for me, this is where my friends and I would come in middle school and high school to do homework and just hang out. It's also the first place I ever had bubble tea (yes, they're the culprit)! They don't do milk tea, unfortunately (with the exception of a black milk tea flavor)..they have slushes and a large variety of iced teas that you can add tapioca to. My long time favorite is a raspberry iced tea with boba. The boba is fantastic, the best of the best - fresh, without that wierd chewy texture tapioca can get when it's old or overcooked. My last visit I ordered a pastry - the yogurt blueberry mousse - and it was absolutely divine. My new favorite of any bakery on BuHi! It's smooth and creamy, topped with fresh blackberries and raspberries - not to mention it was stuffed with blueberries! So. Good. The baristas are always sweet and patient with taking orders. Mozart is one of the quieter cafes on BuHi, it's a great place to relax and get some work done! read more

Mozart Bakery was stop #3 on Laura N.'s bakery/cafe tour. I got there fairly early and they were still putting out some of the baked goods. The bakery has plenty of tables and chairs and there is a lot of room to move around and peruse all of their goods. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was one of the more pleasant customer experiences I've had in awhile. I tried the iced coffee, green bean bun, red bean bun, and red bean donut. This was my first red bean donut. Negative health effects aside, what's not to love about red bean paste inside of a sugar covered donut? The prices were comparable to those of White Windmill, but I think White Windmill's baked goods were a tad better. Mozart's buns felt denser, so you're probably getting a better deal from a $/gram perspective. The iced coffee tasted pretty much the same as White Windmill. Here is an inequality for you: White Windmill (greater than sign) Mozart Bakery (greater than sign) Hong Kong Bakery. Even though I think White Windmill is better overall, if I had to choose one to be a regular at, I would choose Mozart. It's more my style...not too nice and not too dumpy and their staff was the friendliest by far.
