One of the many Mozart bakeries peppered around the Atlanta area, this one is right in the middle of Buford Hwy in Doraville. It has a bit of a smaller selection, but still has a large, cute inside great for meeting with people or for quiet work. Staff were nice and attentive for a moderately busy afternoon, helped us decide on drink and pastry choices. Coffee was a bit disappointing (burnt taste to the bean) but the honey yuzu tea was wonderful for a frigid day outside. Prices can be a bit high for pastries, but the real secret is the day old bread display by the counter, 30% off all products here! Your mileage obviously will vary on eating day-old bread, but we fridge and then warm all of our pastries and haven't had an issue with taste or freshness. Personal favourites include the mocha cake, Oreo mousse, tiramisu, cookies and cream, and the monster bread (jam and cream). Free parking in lot out front, though warning that turning left into the lot from Buford Hwy can be a bit of an annoying adventure.

We wanted to try a new pastry shop and heard good things about Mozart. Upon walking in, we were not greeted at all by the staff. There were two workers there, a woman and a younger man. The woman was not being pleasant at all and snuffed at our group while we were trying to look around at the pastries selection that they had. The shop itself was clean, bright, and would be a great place to do work or study if you're a student. The young man behind the counter just stared at us without a smile or anything. Customer service is definitely lacking and I wished they would try to be at least presentable and somewhat pleasant to us. We got the following items: Sausage bun: 7/10 - pretty solid bun with lots of the sausage flavor. We enjoyed this bun very much. It's like an elevated pigs in a blanket. Cornbread: 3/10 - compared to the last bakery we tried, this one was so dry and the texture was not great. It did have more pieces of corn kernels in the pastry though. There were pieces of nuts also in the pastry. But overall, it was too dense, not enough flavor, and really really, really dry. I tried eating more of it but I couldn't stomach more than two bites. I didn't taste the distinct flavor of cornbread at all. Again, this may be their own version of cornbread so ill give them the benefit of the doubt. Honeydew smoothie with lychee jelly and tapioca: 7/10 - it was delicious! I loved the hints or lychee flavor from the jelly against the honeydew flavor. The tapioca pearls were perfect, bouncy, chewy, and flavorful. If you don't like artificial honeydew flavor, then you probably won't enjoy this flavor. I love honeydew flavor, both natural and artificial. Lavender latte: 7/10 - I didn't get this, but my friend had this drink and she seemed to enjoyed it a bit. This was her rating. Matcha latte: 8/10 - my husband got this and he said it was pretty delicious. It's made like how he loves his latte, made with pure matcha and milk only (no espresso). This was his rating. Overall, I don't know if would come back if I'm in the area, because the staff's demeanor made us feel like we weren't welcomed. The woman even rolled her eyes at my friend when she asked for her latte to be less sweetened. We're paying customers and we're pretty respectful and nice to them and if they're willing to not provide us with at least, the minimum service, then it's not worth coming back. It's disappointing because I was pretty excited to come here since we only get Mozart pastries shipped to our local Asian markets in Jacksonville.

One of my favorite Georgia cafes, but the Pleasant Hill branch looks more esthetic and welcoming. The amount of options seem limited here in comparison. Things you should know: I. PARKING There is a free private parking lot out front. Convenient. II. SERVICE Friendly ~ no complaints III QUALITY The pastries are of good standard and are filled with texture (*hint* try the Mochi Soboro) IV. CAPACITY Large amount of available seating throughout the day

I've been to different Mozart bakeries and this location did not have as large of a selection as the others. Still is an aesthetic location though but just not as aesthetic. Treats were still nice with tasty cakes on display. We chose to order a grapefruit refresher which they make themselves. Kind of a mix between carbonated lemonade with grapefruit which was not too bad but wasn't my favorite. Would have preferred it to not be carbonated.

I really enjoyed the ambiance of the bakery -- a lot of big tables and with relaxing classical music in the background. Food and drink were decent.

I've been coming here for years. I love their Spanish latte and the tiramisu and raspberry mousse are my favorite, but you can't go wrong with any of the choices. The inside is very nice and clean along with the bathroom. The service is always good very nice and pleasant women working here. This place is relatively quiet always has nice music playing. You could come here to get work done or chat with a friend. This place always cheers me up. I highly recommend coming here and trying it.

Lots of seating for studying or little meetings. Very clean and nice staff. Very good honey ginger tea. Great bakery and lots of drinks and items to choose from.

Overall 4/5: Great service & dessert. Dessert 4/5: I picked up a cake for my coworker, we decided on the cookies n cream one which was great! it wasn't too sweet, but still flavorful and delicious. It was well-balanced and i loved the layering on it. It was also decorated super cute. Service 4/5: Fast and friendly. They were sure to ask if it was a birthday so they included candles for us which was great. It also came with a plastic knife to cut and serve. Vibe 4/5: I just did take out, but it looks like a nice place to come in and study as they also offer drinks and small snacks. Would love to come back in and visit on another day! Thank you, Cafe Mozart!

This was SOOOO good!! I had the chocolate mousse with coffee smoothie & boba. My smoothie tasted like a milkshake infused with coffee - AMAZING! Then my mousse was a lovely surprise of flavors. When I took that first spoon I saw cake and mousse -delicious. Then, next there was cream in the center. Third spoonful was raspberry! I'm like you motherflowers blew my mind! It was delicious and not overly sweet. So light and perfect blend of flavors and textures. It was a very yummy experience. We will be back! Thank you!!

I've been to Mozart Bakery multiple times as a kid, so I know what to expect! I came here with my girlfriend to do some stuff done over the holiday. As always, the indoors are extremely clean, the food is always freshly made, and the ambience is exactly what you want in a coffee store. Quiet coffee noise with subtle music in the background. I love working here because of the serene environment and tasty pastries and coffee. I got the iced vanilla latte and fresh creme mocha cake. The latte is sweet and bitter, but not too much of either. The perfect combination of a iced caffeinated drink. The cake is a pleasant spongey texture with a light mocha cream on top. The airiness of the cake combined with the light creme complement each other, resulting in a delicious snack. The combo brings vigor to my work efficiency! Can't recommend this place enough. Free wifi is provided! The only issue is there's not an abundant number of outlets, but with an extension cord, you'll be thriving.

The most prolific painter is unique only because that painter produces the "Most-art." This has nothing to do with that. This is a yummy bakery. Cute place with plenty of place to sit and hang out and some pretty good Asian pastries and decent milk tea. Not one of my favorite bakeries in the Chinatown Atlanta area but definitely a good addition to the massive selection up in these parts.

    Addy C.

This Cafe Mozart is older, more quiet and less busy -- one reason may be the lack of outlets. There is only one outlet which is in the very back table nearest the men's restroom. So most of the crowd here are people actually talking to one another -- whereas the other Cafe Mozart near Oakcliff Rd intersection is a mix of people talking and working on their laptops. They've got a good assortment of pastries and hot/cold beverages. Lately I've gotten their fresh mango juice ($4.99) - tasty but super sweet. I watched them make it - I think there are only a few mango pieces and a lot of sugar water so if you want it less sweet, make sure you request that. FYI they're located next to Hello Chicken.

The place is not large however, the cases are definitely filled with a lot of goodies. On this particular day, it did take us a little while to make a decision as there are quite a few choices. However, the two staff members who were here that day were very patient with us. We did walk away with macaroons a lemon meringue tart as well as a Canele. You know what it's in the pictures. I called in the morning to confirm the time they serve it. I was told to get here by 12:30pm because they serve the burgers at 1pm and the line gets long and they run out. Found out later in line from the person in front of me that they make 130-170 burgers and they sell them all. That's a lot of burgers. I thought it was all hype because I got there at 12:20pm and there was no line. I went in and asked to make sure this was the right place, the guy said to wait outside, they start selling it at 1pm. I was 1st in line. Waited 5 mins then went to my car to get my headphones. By the time I came back, 3 people were now in front of me. I guess the 12:30pm recommendation was valid. By 12:35pm there were 20 people behind me. I do not like waiting, so I'm glad I was early to at least be served 1st. Never been here before, they are busy. When I got here, it was packed with people buying bread and pastries inside. I didn't get to buy the sourdough bread. It was sold out. Apparently, the locals come every Sunday for this burger. I guess they hang a burger flag out when it's burger time some of the people in the line in front of me felt a way that they didn't do that this time. I guess they're getting comfortable and just trying to knock the rush/crowd out. I think coming at one would be fine if they're selling 170 burgers I think the problem is they don't limit the amount of burgers you can buy. At least I don't think so. Now for this burger. Not worth it. Not worth the wait or the hype. I'm still surprised how basic tasted. They need a housemate sauce or something on it. It's literally just one burger and pickles. If it was pack full of flavor and well seasoned, that would be enough. But it's not. The best part about it is the bun. And 30mins after eating the burger, I didn't feel so good. My stomach started hurting, and that was the only thing I ate all day. I avoid eating beef altogether, but I will here and there as of late. My boyfriend eats beef, but he started feeling sick maybe an hour later as well. I was disappointed because I didn't know they pre-make the burgers and just throw them in the bag. You can't customize it or anything. I think we got sick because the burgers were medium. They were not cooked well, and I always get beef burgers cooked all the way through. The way they're rushing you out of there like an express assembly line is crazy. I really wanted to wait to ask them to prepare me two, made well since they were making burgers as they were going along, I believe. I would have waited to have them made well but the way they were rushing you out, it just wasn't the place to ask for anything extra or additional and I don't like places like that. Too strict too many rules and you don't feel comfortable. Even though you're spending $70 on 2 burgers and some pastries. Compared to a pack of ground beef to make your own burgers, this is a lot. I bought two burgers $17 each, and 5 pastries to try because I won't be coming back here anytime soon. I will say, great pastry selection. I was talking to a guy in line and I asked him if he ever had the kouign amann. It looked good. He said yes, it was good, and the chocolate kouign amann, he's going to try as well. I purchased a chocolate kouign amann, a regular kouign amann, cardamom bun, a hazelnut bun, and monkey bread. I wrote everything down outside that I was going to buy so I didn't waste any time. I already spotted the monkey bread when I walked in. The woman packaging up the food was about to fix her face to say they didn't have any monkey bread, when they were clearly at the other end. Maybe that was her doing me a favor because I was highly disappointed in the monkey bread. I'm on a monkey bread kick, and I have been trying it at a lot of places. This one was not good. They sprinkle lemon zest on it, which kind of threw me off, and the bread itself was very dry even after warming it up, adding melted butter and honey. It still was not good. The best thing was the original kouign amann. The chocolate one was not good because they have chocolate on the inside kind of like moose or ganache, but it was overwhelming. It tasted like dark cocoa chocolate, and I thought the pastry was dark because the whole thing was chocolate, but it actually was burnt. A lot of the items looked burnt to be honest. I think the demand is getting to this place. The cardamom bun was just ok. The hazelnut bun was just an extension of the monkey bread to me. Not a fan. I remember growing up, we went to the local butcher and bakery to get fresh meat, bread, and pastries for cheap. I like the idea of a local bakery and butcher shop like this, but this place is not cheap. I'd skip this one.

For $26, I got a ton of food and 90% of it was absolutely delectable. And I say that with an 8-year-old in tow who enjoyed it too! Let's start with the never again item: the Flossy Bun. It's a popular Chinese pastry made with soft, sweet bread filled and topped with sweet and savory pork floss... allegedly. There weren't any descriptions, so I looked it up online. But let me tell you--no. Just no. I don't get how it's popular. Definitely a cultural preference, and it's not for me. I even paused mid-bite hoping I'd grow into the flavor. Nope. Then there was the Coffee Butter Cream Pastry. I thought at the very least my fiancée would like it since she enjoys coffee flavors. That was another miss. I even gave some to two little ones, and the faces they made reminded me of the time I tried canned octopus. That's how bad the flavor was. But now to the good stuff--because the rest? Fire. BBQ Pork Bun - Yummy! Not packed with meat, but enough to enjoy and super easy to pull apart. I really wish they offered a heated option for this, because that would've put it over the top. Japanese Milk Cream Bun - Super creamy. I do wish it had just a little more cream inside, but the bread was so soft and delicious, I honestly didn't care. Hot Dog Cheese Bun - I got this for the little one and I've never seen a child eat something so fast. I'm taking that as a solid win. Egg Tart - Grabbed this from the front warmer after watching another customer snag one. I had missed it earlier. Not totally my thing on its own, but when I got home and added a little chili paste? Devoured. Hong Kong Boba Milk Tea - I went with this instead of the brown sugar version and kind of regret it, but it wasn't bad at all. All in all, the prices are great, the flavors were mostly on point, and the man at the register was super friendly and open to answering questions. Yeah--I'm sold. Looking forward to coming back!
