The cafe is well lit, has lots of seating, very modern and clean and the bathroom is really clean too. I spoke with three staff during my time here. Everyone was kind, friendly, seemed enthusiastic about their offerings. I got a passion fruit yuzu mixed ade and the sweet cinnamon cold brew. Both were delicious for very different reasons! Amazing cute cafe in Doraville. It has complimentary 20 min parking once you register your car but you must register with the QR code. Inside, you can extend your parking for another 5 hours. Drinks are delicious, but I've seen them more well known for their matcha. On the pricier side of $8-9 for a matcha, but definitely well made. It's not powdery at all and the strawberry puree tasted fresh and not syrupy or chemically. Plenty of seating inside with outlets scattered throughout. Free WiFi is provided as well. This might be the priciest bakery I've been to for $71 + tip for 2 drinks and 4 pastries. The drinks and pastries were pretty solid though. The vibes were great. I loved the modern design, and they have validated parking, free water, and plenty of space for people working (9/10). Service was fast. The Strawberry Matcha (8.5/10) was a really good classic strawberry matcha. I loved that I could actually taste the earthy matcha instead of it being completely overpowered by strawberry. The Black Sesame Latte (9/10) was delicious and very dessert-like. It was creamy, nutty, and not too sweet. Definitely one I'd get again. The Banana Danish (8.5/10) was crispy and flaky with caramelized banana, peanut praline, and caramel flavors. Perfectly executed overall, but I thought there was too much cream on top. The Pecan Espresso Mousse (9.5/10) was my favorite pastry. I loved the crispy textures throughout the mousse, and all the flavors worked so well together. Laylo is decent but its a hit or miss depending what you get. I do like that they're always coming out with new pastries so I keep coming back to try something new. Laylo definitely got the aesthetics down but sometimes it falls short. As far as their pastries, their chocolate based or coffee based ones are good. Not a fan of their fruit flavored pastries but their yuzu cheesecake is an exception. Its slightly on the sweeter side but for the size, it has amazing flavors. We also liked their matcha cookie and wish they would bring it back. Drink wise, our usual orders are the latte and hojicha tea. One main complaint I have is the chaotic line. I get that people want to see all the pastries to see what they want to order but they keep going in and out of the line and sometimes cant even tell if theyre in line. I rather have the line wrap in front of the pastries so that everyone gets a good look before ordering. I had a really enjoyable first experience here with my husband and our mothers. This place had been on my list for a while, and we finally made it in last week. As an important tip, don't forget to register your parking! The ambiance is very peaceful and clean. It's a quiet little spot to relax in and really take in the scents and tastes of your selected items. The staff behind the counter were polite and moved quickly. I got a Pain au Chocolate with a Decaf Caramel Latte, my mother got a Cappuccino with a plain Butter Croissant, and my husband and his mother each got Espressos. Unfortunately for my mother, they did not have butter or jam for her croissant. However, they were able to warm it up for her. In retrospect, I should have asked for mine to be warmed as well. My mother loved the flakiness of her croissant, and complimented it several times. My pain au chocolate was also flaky and satisfying, presented beautifully. I do feel, personally, it was slightly more of a looker than a taster... but I did enjoy it! All of our drinks tasted nice quality. I would love to come back to try their desserts next time. A friend sent me a social media post of this spot and we decided to check it out- we were influenced! The cafe has a great location! It's easy to find with GPS, and there is an attached garage. Now this?????? THIS is a coffee shop really taking it to the next level. I mean wow. I had an incredible experience here and can't wait to come back. The ambiance: the shop is spacious and beautiful. Perfectly minimalist with plenty of light, seating, and a bathroom. Staff were so sweet and down to earth. They were open to making recommendations and didn't rush me to choose. They brought all of my items to my table and were just so so pleasant. Now these desserts and pastries ... no notes. I had the salt bread (as someone who's been to Japan, this salt bread is as close as you'll get and so so good) the coffee mousse cake (10/10... it was 8am so I was worried it was going to be too sweet, but it was absolutely perfect) and an iced oat latte (imagine this-- actually tasting the coffee and not being served oat milk slop! it was delicious and these atlanta cafes need to drive to chqmblee and learn a thing or two about making a latte). Visiting from out of town and i'm glad i found this gem, ambience is open, calming and inviting plenty of natural lighting, staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. This is a super cute cafe that I had been wanting to stop by for the longest time. If you're coming from Chamblee Tucker Road, make sure to continue straight which leads you to the parking deck right at the intersection with Peachtree Industrial Blvd. Parking was free for 20min initially but the store validates for another hour. We reached at 5PM so only had a few options to choose from and went with the Black Sesame ribbon and the early gray pastry which resembled a ball of yarn. While it was definitely on the pricy side, I would recommend trying it once! The yarn on the outside was a soft cream and inside had a chestnut and berry filling and was served on top of a thin graham cracker. It was absolutely delicious and honestly had me wanting more since it wasn't too sweet and super light. The ribbon had a light frosting on the inside which was super delicious and super well crafted! Overall I really enjoyed it here and loved the decor of this spot. Congratulations to those that were able to figure out parking and actually try the desserts here at this new spot. Took me almost an hour in traffic from Duluth to get here. I arrived on a Thursday at 10:30am, but the parking garage for retail was about 95% full. Weekends when people are actually off work must be a nightmare. Then, I had to walk around the entire building uphill to find the shop. Which took another 15 minutes. Why is no one mentioning this issue? Are they all paid reviews? Then, when I arrive they are packed and have NO DESSERTS, no food all, see photo. Understand they are in soft opening, so will try back later. Added photos to help with parking situation... Mainly, just want to let you know to use the "RETAIL PARKING" packed levels at Manor Apartments. Then, do not use stairs and exit front side of the building to find this business streetside. Yes, cars will try to run you over at high speed in the garage, so just be careful. I tried the earl grey mousse cake, the new strawberry lime yuzu tart, and hot matcha latte. I enjoyed the earl grey, and found the tart to be fine. The matcha latte was good, earthy and umami, but this is the most I've spent at a cafe for drink and a few pastries. I appreciate the intricacy of the desserts, but don't think I'll come often as there's many other cafes around the area that offer similar items at a lower price point. The baristas were friendly and there wasn't much of a wait for our drinks, and you buss your own dinnerware when you leave. The cafe itself is very aesthetic and modern, with lime-washed walls and wooden accents, and seems to be a popular spot to camp out and get work done. Laylo Cafe is a modern cafe selling drinks and pastries. The interior is very sleek, but seating can be hard to find as it is a fairly new cafe with lots of customers coming in and out. They are known for their knitted mousse cakes, which at times run out for a bit. The service was good when I went. We got our cakes right on the spot. There is a retail parking garage next door which allows up to 5 hours of free parking after scanning the QR code inside the cafe. I split the Raspberry Chocolate and Coffee knitted mousse cakes with two other friends to lower costs. The knitted mousse cakes are based off of a Korean cafe, which means that they are not too sweet. The Raspberry Chocolate was in the shape of a yarn ball which was really cute. It tasted of dark chocolate and a raspberry sorbet or cream of sorts in the middle which made it both a sweet and tart dessert. I liked that the most out of the two cakes we got as the Coffee, which was supposed to have a caramel coffee mousse, tasted way too light. I definitely give props to the care they put in designing the knitted mousse cakes because they look incredible. However, the taste was a bit lackluster for my American taste palate, haha. Also, everything is kind of expensive... $12 to $15 for the knitted mousse cakes and around $7 to $10 for drinks, all of which were fairly small. I think that this place would be great a study spot or a chill hangout place to catch up with friends. But I think it is definitely overhyped in terms of the drinks and food (all being very adorable and creative). It is more of an aesthetic spot than a dine-in spot, in my opinion. There is parking in the retail parking spots of the apartment complex but it definitely got very busy as it's directly in front of a traffic light too-so it got backed up fast. Service was okay, the display shelf had no cakes left except for one pineapple lime so I asked if there was any cakes and she sighed and said yes it'll take like 10 minutes.
