    Chicken Philly
    Amanda R.

I was super excited to try this diner when they first opened. However, slightly disappointed with our experience. The decor is super cute and the energy in the restaurant is great. Our service was pretty average, we accepted it. The food we got was not as good as we were hoping. The pancakes/waffle dishes came out pretty decent. Our other meals were subpar. Pictures definitely looked better than taste. The chicken Philly tasted like boiled chicken with cheese on top. And the country fried chicken had very little flavor as well. I'm hoping it's because they are newer and still trying to get the flow of things. I will be back to try again to see if anything changes.

I chose this restaurant for a casual dinner close to home. While I knew it was a diner I wasn't expecting the 50s decor. Coordinated with lots of pink and metallic touches, it's a fun place that makes you wish you'd worn your poodle skirt! The menu is extensive with breakfast lunch and dinner options. I chose several things to give myself a variety to try. The fried pickles were my top choice. I try these in many restaurants and this is a clear winner. Sliced in rounds, breaded and fried to a satisfying crunchy texture (chef's kiss). I ordered the meatloaf plate with chicken noodle soup and green beans and my friend chose a chicken wrap with fries. While I wasn't overly impressed with the meatloaf and mashed potatoes, the portions were big and the green beans and fries were really tasty. Service was fast and friendly. Jaxon is a polite and attentive sweetheart.

The aesthetic is adorable with the pink phones hanging from the ceiling, the gorgeous dessert case, the pink sparkly bathroom door, and the art. Tables are too close together. Didn't really want to have to see giant TV playing Fox news during brunch. I believe that the owners also own My Big Fat Greek Tavern which is way better, but the service over there is spotty and they don't serve alcohol. The food here at the Dacula Diner is on par with the giant breakfast chain with the yellow sign. The best thing we all had was french fries which isn't really saying a whole lot for everything else we had. My grilled chicken plate was meh. Giant golfball sized pieces of potato in my home fries, a super dry chicken cutlet, a wee portion of eggs, and a thick dry biscuit that I needed water to get down. I'd much rather go to their Greek spot and just not have breakfast-y food.

Looks like a fairly new spot. Food prices are a little on the higher end like $9 for bagel and cream cheese. They do have a big menu, there's something for all. Seems good for groups. Ambiance looks like they're trying to make this fun and instagrammable? Cute things here and there. We enjoyed our cakes but the mains were just okay.

*** We did not dine-in as they were out of Cod fish at the time*** Adorable diner will be a huge addition to the area. They have a full menu and it look like they will have alcohol based on the bar area, its completed with TV's! The diner has a lot of character with a staff of friendly faces. I ended up ordering a slice of coconut cake to-go, the cake was around $12, but the slices are pretty big, very soft and yummy. I can wait to try the veggie omelet.

Lobster ravioli. The sauce is scrumptious.

Stopped in for dinner and was pleased with the food. Kelsy was our server and took great care. Food is served hot and is delicious. The dessert's look fantastic. Another great meal at the Diner!

Servers are nice and the pies at the front looked delicious. Aesthetic is cute, not like a diner in NY but it felt nice. Now for the food... Matza ball soup- matza ball was undercooked and a literal salt bomb. I thought the soup was perfect until I cut the matza ball and opened up the sodium chloride gates. I couldn't finish the soup after that. It's how I imagine a dish would taste when an unhappy customer salts their food before returning their plate they want remade. Or, like accidentally drinking ocean water while swimming in it. The crackers were also stale and bland. Shrimp scampi- very lemony (and artificial like bottled lemon juice) garnish-heavy, and clumps of either flour or the scampi sauce made it taste awful. Buffalo chicken wrap was probably the best tasting item we ordered. It had a little too much of a balsamic glaze taste to it. Coleslaw was too vinegary. However, a wrap and fries dish is really hard to mess up. It was a safe bet. The table next to us got the fried calamari and it looked good. I don't think I want to go back, though. The Diner on Webb Ginn is way better.

The decor is fun and inviting, great diner feel. Service was excellent. Jackson, our server, was awesome! The food is great and there is so many options!

A Hidden Gem in Dacula - We're Coming Back! We had the pleasure of visiting Dacula Diner today, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. We ordered the Disco Fries, Chicken Cordon Bleu Sandwich, and a Monte Cristo Sandwich, and let me tell you, everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Our server, Maria, was incredibly friendly and accommodating. She and the staff immediately made us feel welcome and at home, even going out of their way to rearrange chairs to make room for my husband's wheelchair. That kind of genuine hospitality means a lot. The ambiance is fun and inviting, the kind of place where you feel like a regular even if it's your first time. And in this economy? The prices are more than reasonable, especially considering the large portions and quality of the food. We're so happy to have a diner like this in our town. We'll definitely be back soon!! Can't wait to try their breakfast and dinner service next!

They are brand new to the neighborhood and just getting started. I will say everybody was courteous, and the food was good. It came out hot and at a reasonable time. They only have three or four booths, everything else is a table and chair. The decor is like 50s, as was the music which was kind of cool. They got a little busy and it took a minute to get to go boxes and check out. But that's normal for a restaurant. They did not have a lunch menu so the menu that they can do is their menu all the time . The prices are a little bit high. Naturally we would like to try some other items on the menu and will be back to see if anything has changed.

It's located on the corner of Webb Ginn Rd and Grayson Hwy and is connected to a Shell gas station. When I walked in, it reminded me of someone's kitchen, which I really loved. Very warm and inviting. There were pictures on the wall of different celebrities. I'm a big OutKast fan so I definitely enjoyed them paying homage to OutKast and of course my Falcons. So the restaurant is New York City food infused with southern comfort which is so intriguing to me. They have a very nice and expansive menu from seafood, burgers, and breakfast items. They even have vegan options as well. The kind lady that took my order did say that everything on the menu is sold all day. I asked her how long had they been open and she said last June made a year. I ordered the shrimp and grits and the Oreo cookie crunch cheesecake but to my horror, the kind lady said something about they did not have dessert. Now I'm not sure if they had ran out or just wasn't serving dessert at that time but it was just after 11am when I got there, so it was lunch time hours. Needless to say, I was disappointed but the food definitely made up for me. The shrimp and grits were AMAZING! The sauce was what really did it. The biscuit had like a honey topping and was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The portion size was perfect! I'm thinking really hard y'all but honestly, I have to say that, that was the BEST shrimp and grits I've ever had. I'm looking forward to going back and getting that Oreo cheesecake and I really want to try the hoagie.

It's a good spot for date night, or a special occasion, or just when you want a properly- and artfully-prepared crepe and coffee. Their new location in Dacula is a bit further from home for me, but it is worth the drive - and longer. They have an expanded menu featuring a variety of French classics. They still do offer galette and crepe menu items. This new location also features bar service, and their menu has a short list of specialty cocktails and TGG versions of standard mixes. Amuse Bouche: a fresh watermelon gazpacho (served in a shooter) with a tiny crispy wafer topped with Gruyère and apple preserve. Wild! I ordered the Boeuf Bourguignon. One of our party ordered the Sea Bass and another went light and ordered a selection of appetizers. They reported excellent preparation and flavors. Mine was extremely well prepared, rich and full flavored. The dishes were presented like works of art. It was the luck of the day that beams of setting sunlight shone through the curtains and illuminated our meals just as they were placed on the table. The spiraled lemon on the crab cake caught sun like a stained glass window. The beef arrangement on my side looked like a tiny forest, with tender boulders of mushrooms and meat, fallen trees of carrots, a little shrub of Swiss chard, and a sapling sprig of fresh rosemary. But for real - artistic musings aside, this was some damn good food. I thoroughly enjoyed the main course, and of course, I had to get a crepe for dessert. Tout de Chocolat was such a perfect finish, with freshly toasted almonds and warm buttery caramel to offset wave after wave of chocolate flavors. I always love the atmosphere they create. The owner was in the house and she is always such a delight to encounter. The Galloping Galette should be on your short list for great restaurant experiences in Gwinnett County.

I've attached a photo so others can judge for themselves. We immediately called the restaurant. The young lady who answered transferred us to Jeremy, who she identified as the cook, we later found him to be the owner. We explained that the sausage was severely burned. Instead of apologizing or offering to make it right, Jeremy's response was, "Did you want it raw?" He then stated that he cooked it himself, remembered making it, and knew it wasn't burned. Not only was the food unacceptable, but Jeremy's attitude was rude, arrogant, and extremely condescending. My wife offered to email him a photo of the biscuit, which she did. About an hour later, she called back to follow up. Jeremy said he hadn't looked at the email because he was busy. He went on to explain that he needed to get everyone out by 1:30, had other things to do afterward, and would call us back around 2:30. That call never came. Not to mention we paid $14 for two biscuits!! No follow-up. No apology. No attempt to resolve the issue. Nothing. As a business owner myself, I understand that mistakes happen. Burnt food can happen in any kitchen. What separates good businesses from bad ones is how they respond when a customer brings a problem to their attention. Instead of taking responsibility, we were met with excuses, dismissiveness, and complete indifference. After reading other reviews, it appears that burnt food and poor customer service may not be isolated incidents. Unfortunately, our experience certainly supports that impression. We weren't looking for anything unreasonable--just acknowledgment of the problem and an effort to make it right. Instead, we received some of the worst customer service I've experienced in a long time. The attached photo speaks for itself.
