Firehouse steak and cheese - medium
    Christina B.

I had the steak and cheese. Sandwich was made as ordered (no Mayo or mustard) however it was mostly bread and I've definitely had better cheesesteaks. Made quickly and employee that took our order was friendly. I'd eat here again. I just wouldn't order this sandwich again.

I was happy Firehouse reopened in Flowery Branch. I decided to go in an order a sub in a tub/salad... no bread. I try to eat low carb. Jimmy John's does an Unwhich and Subway has protein Bowls. I figured it wouldn't be an issue. AND cause im such a foodie freak, belive I Googled the best way to order this at Firehouse. I went in and the employees were very friendly and I explained what I was wanting and I asked how to order it. The nice young women understood and I went to order. The Gentleman taking my order also got me and I ordered the New York Steamer on lettuce. The owner came right up and challenged me. "No bread??!" "You have to have bread." I was kinda taken back but I know its maybe unusual so I explained what I wanted again. She then insisted I couldn't because mayo and mustard come on it. I explained I didn't want mayo or mustard. She then said but the meat is warm. You want that on lettuce. Shaking her head and making a face. So look. I manage a huge retail business. It is NOT good business practice to embarass and make your customers feel uncomfortable and wrong. The employee apologized and completed my order. This is an awful way to run a business. Sadly I will not be back here unless it has new owners. Needless to say im sure the staff won't want to stick around. And side note.... if the two employees are reading this, you always have a place to work at my store. Goodluck.

Large hook and ladder, with caramelized onions and chopped pickles, oatmeal raisin cookie. Also had a cup of chili :p

Do not order to go or for pick up because the order will be wrong and you'll still be charged for the extras.

I'd calmly mentioned, "We almost left & that we're glad you came when you did." She apologized responded that she will put us ahead in the stack of orders to make up for lost time & we were grateful. Alexis kept our glasses of tea full & so kudos to her for taking care of us. On another matter that same night, We witnessed an extremely LOUD & drunk customer ordering double whiskeys every 10 - 15 minutes. It was obvious he'd been drinking heavily before we arrived at our table close to the bar. The drunk was getting louder & careless with his words & actions as we were finishing our dinner. There were young children in the booth behind us and young teens across the room. Regarding the drunk... 1. Loudly threw his phone on the bar landing a few feet from where he sat. 2. Yelling at a stranger about 5 or 6 stools away telling him, "HEY!!! Yer NOT allowed to talk on the phone!!!" while demanding a scene. 3. Multiple times bouncing off other bar stools like a bowling ball hitting pins trying to stay balanced. 4. Swearing loud enough that children at other tables could hear him. 5. Spent about 10 minutes in the bathroom while girlfriend & bartender checked up on his whereabouts. 6. Throwing up & spitting on the bar where he was seated. After he spit / threw up at the bar, the bartender pulled out a rag from his back pocket along with another from behind the bar area & wiped off the bar spreading whatever was regurgitated. Never once did I witness germ or contamination spray being applied to decontaminate the bar area safely. I also did not witness him washing his hands after cleaning up the mess. Long before the drunk customer did whatever he did in the bathroom, the bartender should have STOPPED serving him double after double after double... Instead, the bartender was singing with the drunk while continuing to serve the drunk. I thank Alexis for serving us but we won't be back. There's other classy bars & eating establishments but this isn't one of them. Almost forgot... when we sat down, there was silverware on the floor at our feet. I wish I didn't forget my phone at home because I would have added pictures & video with this report.

I rolled in there hungry enough to eat the bumper off a truck and ordered the meatloaf ciabatta sandwich with hand-cut fries, and sweet mercy... somebody's grandma must be back there running the kitchen because that thing was borderline life-changing. The meatloaf was thick, juicy, and had that "somebody's been perfecting this recipe since 1978" flavor going on. The ciabatta held it together like a champ, and those hand-cut fries? Lord have mercy. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside -- the kind you keep saying "just one more" until suddenly the basket's empty and you're thinking about ordering another. Now here's the real kicker: they've got gluten-free options, which means I can bring my wife this weekend without her looking at the menu like it personally offended her. That alone deserves a round of applause. So if you're anywhere near Buford and your stomach starts talking louder than your good sense, do yourself a favor and stop by. Just be warned: You might leave full, happy... and already planning your next visit before you even get to the parking lot.

The cashier was extremely friendly and there is the option to order at a self-service kiosk or at the front. It was pretty empty when I went so my food came out really fast. I got the 2 Sliders with Fries. I asked for medium spice level for my chicken, which was good enough for me as it still had a kick but I was still able to eat it. The cashier told me to drizzle Dave's sauce and honey over the slider which was a smart decision! I feel like it added a unique sweet and spicy flavor to my meal that was lacking without the sauces. As for the fries, I asked them to put cheese on it and it tasted pretty average. I also wanted to try their mozzarella sticks that came out recently, but this location ran out. I am not a big fan of hot fried chicken just because I like to taste the seasoning and enjoy my meal without my mouth being on fire. I think it was a bit pricey as well. However, I know that this place is popular so it is worth a try! It just is not my preferred spot for a chicken sandwich.
