We've been here several times. It's better than some, but not as great as one would think. How difficult is it to make breakfast awesome? Apparently, very difficult. Let's start with seating challenge. It's 72 outside, and about 65 inside. We asked to be seated outside at the empty tables. They said we don't seat people outside, it's only for waiting. We froze in our seats. Waitress told us kitchen was short staffed, which explained so many empty tables even inside. Food is always good, and so is coffee. My reason for 3 star review is all about the service. It was not as good as it normally is, and normal is average. Food arrived rather late, and arrived somewhat cold, (go figure). I don't find the wait for this place worth the effort. I'd prefer to go back to Oy, which is 5 minutes away from here. read more

The food was just as good as we expected it to be but the service was absolutely spectacular. When we ordered drinks our server Sara informed us they didn't serve Mr Pibb. My eagle eyed father noticed that the drink fountain did contain a Mr Pibb spout, and Sara said they hadn't had it refilled in a while. We were fine with that and ordered everything normally. The manager Jim came over and personally apologized for not carrying Mr Pibb. Sara and Jim also gave us a free order of donut holes as an apology. We weren't in the least bit upset but the service was absolutely above and beyond. My dad says there aren't enough stars for this place. read more

Not so poached eggs Benedict..... After 45 minutes of waiting for our food (that all came out at different times and one dish cold to the touch), our server tells us, unapologetically, that someone stabbed her table's ticket and they did not make our order.. then walked away without thanking us for any patience. We understand busy and I guess I need remind myself that this is just a breakfast/brunch restaurant, but still hoped for more communication or at least some manager presence in the establishment. This is a chain restaurant and this location does NOT live up the the standard at the others. This location cannot handle the demand for a breakfast/lunch place in this area. The servers are nice and the decor is cute and the idea of behind the food is great but they don't deliver. This location is busy and the wait is about reasonable and you can check in online ahead of arrival and the let the hosts know your there to save some time. Once you get to the table it goes downhill with the exception of the servers being friendly and keep checking in on you. Now it took a little bit to order drinks but it was okay. The food though took about 45 mins to arrive and when it did it was a mix of hot and cold. The eggs hot, the waffle and sausage cold. The waitress took the plates bright back the sausage and eggs which were now cold from being walked back to the kitchen and back on another plate but we were starving at this point and we were still waiting for one the other orders to arrive. Finally my husband got his eggs, sausage and pancakes, I got a hot waffle and my momma was still waiting for a hot waffle. Now the waffle hot was the best thing we ate here. My husband had a pancake and it so overcooked that it was splitting in half. Never since such a dry pancake before and he was so hungry since at this point since arrival we had been here close to 2 hours. All he wanted was his first meal of the day and so he ate it. Now yes we could have complained to a manager but we saw him hiding in the corner, walking into the kitchen looking lost and starting at the queue screen trying to figure it out. He even bussed a table of 6 full of dishes and only took a coffee carafe and a cup and left the rest and then again went and stood in a corner. After observing him we knew let's just pay our bill and go for we saw him do nothing and yet we saw a restaurant in need of help and lots of other food besides ours being called for remakes (we sat right in front of the kitchen). Needless to say this location needs help and we won't be coming back any time soon. One star is for our server who keep checking on us and it was out of her control and one star for the concept. read more

First time going here for brunch. We were a party of 5 and came on a Friday ~11am. Wait time was longggg I think about 45min? I was shook because it was a weekday and also it's GA suburbs lol But anyway staff was really nice and helped us with the menus while we waited. Once we were seated, we were able to place our orders quickly. Clean interior and pretty spacious. The staff is probably one of the friendliest and most knowledgeable staff I have ever encountered. Answered all our questions and gave great tips on making the most of our order. The food was great - very filling and well cooked. The pancakes are divineee so I highly recommend getting a stack. My hubby and I love this place! We went in the morning when they first opened this past Friday. The customer service was good. The food is still amazing. They are social distancing people and I love that their food quality is still amazing. We recently got the pumpkin pancake and the turkey sausage combination and wow!!! It was soo amazing! So due to the pandemic I haven't been out to restaurants much to sit down. I was in the Buford area and wanted to try First Watch. I'd seen it around and wanted to try it out. Walking in the aesthetics are super cute, rustic, farm to table (literally) feel. The customer service was impeccable. Special shout-out to Paola!! She answered all of my questions and even gave amazing suggestions. I chose her top favorite on the menu: Chickichanga! I am not a fan of avocado but it works well with the dish. This came with a side of hashbrowns and seasonal fruit. Of course I had to add the million dollar bacon!! Sooooo good!! & a side of cheese grits. First Watch is a good choice for breakfast if you are in the area. It can get very busy and take a long time on the weekends, but if you have the time you will get an opportunity to try some great waffles and cheesy eggs. Kids seem to really enjoy it with the kids menu so that's always a win! Enjoy! read more

This was my first time here. It was just my sister and I on a Monday during 10-11 am. We had no wait time and was seated at a booth as we walked in. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. I had the maple bacon and breakfast tacos; they were great. The drinks were also delicious. We also ordered French toast which I did not take a picture of, but it was amazing. Had a reservation for 10AM for my daughter's birthday brunch, wasn't even notified until 11:30, once there they said that they had the incorrect amount of people on the reservation. Reservation was for 8 and they made it for 6, assuming it's not hard to pull up 2 chairs. Had to wait an additional 30 minutes just for that. As we're sitting down, already past our reservation, our waitress rudely told us "our kitchen closes at 2:30 so if you could hurry up that would be appreciated". First of all, your job isn't to tell me how fast to eat or get half ass and rude service. Don't take reservations past a certain time if you're unable to serve guests bc you're kitchen closes at 2:30. The point of working in customer service is to provide a service, not rush my family and I out so you can hurry up and get off of work. I've always had a love for First Watch ever since walking into one in boynton beach, FL. The staff was cool, the place was well kept and the food was great! Anytime I needed a place to eat and reflect, this is the spot me and the wife went. Was truly an escape. Almost like sitting on the beach lol. However, having recently moving here and visiting this place for the second time, am now convinced that this place isn't that. Don't get it wrong, I still love the food and the staff is pretty cool, but this spot is just too LOUD for my liking! But if you're cool with the noise then you should enjoy this place. This First Watch still has not fixed the online check-in problem. We checked in at 11:00 and it said 30-45 minutes. We got here at 11:45, and they said the wait was at least 15 minutes. The girl at the hostess stand admitted (finally) that the online check-in doesn't really matter here. Your wait time starts only when you arrive. So, what is the purpose of the online check-in???? I have not had this issue at other First Watch restaurants around Atlanta. They all seem to honor the online check-in. read more

Lately I've found myself coming here on my own just for light bite after the gym. I usually get their açaí bowl or chia pudding. My god... this chia pudding is THE MOST DELECTABLE chia pudding ever! So creamy and coconutty, topped with their own berry sauce to give it a little tanginess, plus their house made granola and fruits. Both the açaí and chia is served with a thick cut, toasted yet still soft piece of whole grain bread with almond butter smeared over and sea salt sprinkles on top. I live for this toast's chewy texture. It's the perfect combo for me after the gym! Their kale and tonic juice is my go-to drink, it never gets old! Their Belgian waffles and pancakes are ginormous and fluffy. Their omelettes are always made well. The millionaire bacon certainly lives up to its name, this is a MUST TRY! Every single person I've brought here for brunch has always been impressed and left happy, including myself. Once they were really busy and messed my order up but they fixed it and it was all good, we're all human. Their A.M. superfood bowl is very different, but delicious! If you're contemplating it, go for it, you only live once! They were very accommodating to my husband and my family as they will let you add and take away items to customize an order to better suit you and your tastebuds. They do get pretty busy at certain times so if you plan on going on a weekend morning just be prepared to put your name on a list. Consistently good food, but can vary from time time. I met a dear friend for brunch on a weekday, which I find much less busy than the weekends, of course. The food was good as usual. My friend ordered the super food bowl and was surprised when it came to the table missing a few things listed in the description and additions of other ingredients. The concern was that this was not told to her when ordering, what if that would've changed her order, what if she were allergic to one of the new ingredients??? Also, as I said, it was not busy, but we felt like we were being urged to leave after we were done eating. I could totally understand if there were people waiting, but that was far from the case, as there were several open tables. This place is amazing! The food options are very fresh and unique! I had what was called Traditional Eggs Benedict, and was absolutely the best eggs Benedict I had ever had. It was served over a ciabatta bun, with thin shaved ham and sliced tomato, served with a side of greens.
