Went here for a lunch date. It's was a very pleasant experience. It's a decent sized venue; great ambiance. They had a 90s/early 2000s r&b playlist at the time I was there. Our server was nice and attentive. Now, to the food and drinks. The cocktails came out quickly from the bar and they were delightful! We ordered the shrimp and grits -10/10 no notes except order this! We also ordered a the cornbread waffles w/ the Korean style chicken. It served sandwich style, had a tasty sauce on it and it was topped with collard greens. The combo was real tasty. I broke it down and ate it with a knife and fork. 8/10. I appreciated the diversity. We got an acai bowl also. It was a basic acai bowl, but still tasty. I wouldn't order that there again. There are way more interesting options to choose from. read more

Five stars for Just Brunch! The food was fantastic--gourmet, beautifully presented, and incredibly flavorful. I had just landed from New Jersey and arrived tired, jet-lagged, starving, and looking for something delicious near my hotel. Artificial intelligence recommended Just Brunch, and this time, AI absolutely understood the assignment! I ordered the Seafood Lovers Omelet with shrimp and lobster, accompanied by a side salad and biscuit. Between the seafood and eggs, I estimate that I received approximately 50 grams of protein. The portions are not humongous because this is a more gourmet-style restaurant, but the amount was just right for rich, high-quality food. The omelet was delicious, the salad was fresh and flavorful, and the biscuit came with an incredible Cajun sauce. Oh, my Lord! I normally watch my macros, so I only ate about a quarter of the biscuit, but every bite was worth it. The jam was also fantastic. The freshly made pineapple, ginger, and mint lemonade was out of this world. It was refreshing and tasted like something genuinely special--not an ordinary restaurant lemonade. My total was $38.16 before tip, and I left Briana 22% because she provided excellent service and deserved it. Some people may think that close to $50 for brunch is ridiculous, but I see it differently: I could spend about $20 somewhere like Panera and have a basic meal, or I could spend more and have an experience I will actually remember. Just Brunch is not the cheapest option, and this was certainly more indulgent than my everyday breakfast. But if you value taste, quality, presentation, and a memorable meal, it is absolutely worth it. If you're visiting Duluth, especially for work or while staying nearby, don't miss this spot. Just Brunch was easily one of the most frustrating restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. When I arrived, roughly 35% of the dining tables were empty and nearly 40% of the bar seating was sitting unused, yet I was told the wait would be 1 hour and 15 minutes. I didn't have a reservation, but there were only a handful of people ahead of me, making the wait completely unreasonable. Once seated at the bar, things only got worse. The bartender and several employees came across as if they didn't want to be there. Customer service was practically nonexistent. I ordered chicken wings and they were so disappointing that I didn't even eat a single wing. What made it even more frustrating was that the bartender never once asked how my food was or whether everything was satisfactory. Instead, he repeatedly tried to upsell me on other items and drinks. A restaurant can survive mediocre food if the service is exceptional, but when both are poor, there's no reason to come back. Empty tables, long waits, indifferent staff, and terrible food made this one of the worst dining experiences I've had! read more

The grits were good and the Cajun sauce was top tier. The catfish was a little too crunchy for my liking, but the shrimp was so good! I would just get the shrimp and grits next time. We stopped in for breakfast at this cute little place after staying the night at a close by hotel. We were greeted by a smiling face & was seated promptly. Like it says, it is relaxed & family oriented. Our server, Brianna greeted us with a smile & made us feel so welcomed. After hearing this was a "must-try," I finally made it in! I highly recommend making a reservation. I tried walking in previously and the wait was over an hour, but booking a day in advance got us seated right away. One thing to note is when I booked the reservation, it didn't specify that the seating would be outside. We ended up on the covered patio, which was the only thing available. While it wasn't the most comfortable setup, thank goodness the weather wasn't too hot! The restaurant is a bit smaller than expected, which explains why the wait gets so long. The drinks are excellent and definitely not weak--the margarita and mojito were both very refreshing. The Food: Seafood Omelette: Exceeded expectations! Grits: Perfectly creamy. This restaurant's food quality has really declined over the last year. My family and I used to go almost every Sunday after church. We stopped for a while then decided to go back. The last two times we had issues with food quality. The first time the waffles were undercooked and the chicken had no flavor. This time, they must have cooked my husband's food and just left it sitting because his waffles were tough. The chicken sausage was awful. He decided to switch to pork sausage and that was worse. He ended up not eating his food. The manager only offer a 25% discount. He asked did he have eat 75% of the food. You shouldn't charge an outrageous price if you don't stand behind the quality of your food: this is about a $9 breakfast for $18. Had brunch with my sister and BIL. We were in town for a family function. We didn't have a reservation. From what I saw I recommend you get one. We walked in the ladies were very friendly. It wasn't very busy but started to get busy once we were seated. Amber our waitress was very sweet. I got a nice mocktail and my BIL got an espresso martini. The food. Omg!! Hubby & I had the chance to visit Just Brunch today and it was a pleasant surprise! This was our first time visiting but it won't be our last. This establishment is beautifully decorated, has ample seating inside and outside and the staff is helpful and friendly. What really caught me off guard was the pricing policy. Our food subtotal came to $89.98, and an automatic 20% gratuity ($18.00) was added simply because the check was over $80. This wasn't a large party--it was based solely on the amount of the bill. By the time tax was added, an $89.98 meal became $113.38. The waitress did give us an app that took $20.00 off the bill, which I appreciated. However, I still think an automatic 20% charge based on reaching an $80 spending threshold should be made very clear to customers before they order, not something you discover when looking at the final bill. I understand restaurants having gratuity policies, and I have no problem tipping for good service. Between the quality of the food, the prices, and the additional charge, the experience simply did not meet my expectations. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning. read more

The Peach Glazed Salmon with Crab Fried Rice was interesting. I don't think all the elements went together. The salmon was so overcooked it was hard to break apart. The crab fried rice was cooked well but the garnish on top of the dish wasn't needed. If this is how they cook salmon each time I cannot recommend this dish. This is my 2nd time here. The first time we came was during brunch on a weekend so there was a wait so by the time the food came we got straight to it and I forgot to take pictures. The 2nd time around we came on a Friday around brunch time as well. No wait so i remembered to take pictures before diving in. The food was plentiful and delicious both times. I believe I got the lobster with waffles the first time and this time I got the Sticky wings with pancakes and my sister got the Banana French toast with sausage and a side of eggs. The wings were really good and flavorful with the right amount of crispy. My sister's French toast was very tasteful with the sauce they layered around it. The interior & decorating of the restaurant is very pretty with really nice wall art/mirrors and chandeliers. There's a bar that you can sit at from inside and outside. The outside seating section is still covered which is nice. Definitely recommend this breakfast, brunch, lunch spot for great wand vibes. Seriously late for thos review! Went for a wedding, and on our final day enjoy some southern breakfast. So happy we went here. I NEVER liked grits but didn't realize i never has them cooked properly. So creamy and yummy. Catfish shrimp n grits was a 10/10. Perfectly cooked catfish amazing sauce and i now love grits thanks to Just Brunch. First time at Just Brunch. I was hoping for a great birthday brunch with my wife. What we got was a good but not amazing very expensive brunch. Service was serviceable for lack of a better way to say it. The order was correct and came out in a reasonable amount of time. The issue was it felt like we were imposing on the waitress and an inconvenience even though she was not in any was rude or disrespectful. Idk, the vibes were off. The food was presented well and served at the right temperatures. I had the crabcake benedict and my wife had the oatmeal. My wife seemed to enjoy the oatmeal but I'll let her review that. The crabcake Bennie was unfortunately under seasoned and not the freshest. This is not to say it was uneatable just not what I expected for the price tag on it. If I am paying crabcake prices I expect a high quality crabcake. The grits were very good. If I were to go back I would be sure to get a dish that included them. It's SUPER busy here, so we did do a reservation on the day on Yelp (that's how it's done). We seemed to get in just in time, because the wait became extreme averaging 2 hours for a table. I ended up seeing maybe why? Our server, while very sweet, seemed very overwhelmed and it took a while for her to get to us. Also our food took a while to get to us. And even though the Strawberry mimosas we had plus my dish (the JB All American with Beyond Sausage) was overall good, it was cold except for the pancakes. The food definitely seemed like it was sitting under a food lamp. It was good though, inching the coffee! Not happy about the syrup coming to me in a plastic container. They do have milk alternatives too for your coffee, which I was given dairy but asked for an alternative. I wish I was asked prior to receiving it lol... but also they have gender neutral bathroom which I'm so glad for!! It's hard not to come back as even our friends want to try them! Excellent staff, wonderful food, a nice jazzy hip hop mix of music made great food even more outstanding; a delightful change from standard breakfast fare was on the menu. Breakfast for 2 We approached the restaurant and noticed a large shared parking lot. We quickly found a spot and headed over. We walked in and were greeted warmly at the door. When the hostess asked if we had a reservation, we said no. She paused briefly to check availability, and before she could respond, we decided to head over to the bar area instead of a table. She said that would not be a problem and we were led over to the counter. A few minutes later, I asked how long the wait for a table would have been if we waited. She said it would only be about 10 - 15 minutes and offered to switch us over once one opened up. I told her we were happy staying at the bar, I was just curious. We also noticed there is an online waitlist to help with seating when things get a little busier. The staff behind the counter was quick to bring us menus and take our drink order. Wifey ordered an orange juice and a coffee, while I kept it simple with just a coffee. He put in our drink order as we reviewed the huge menu. Plenty of good options to choose from. I decided on the Bananas Foster French Toast with bacon, and Wifey went with the Veggie Omelet with no mushrooms. I checked out the place while waiting for our food. The main dining area was dimly lit, and I noticed another counter across from ours with similar seating. I also noticed they had additional seating in their outside covered patio area. The food came out super fast and looked and tasted great. Wifey and I swapped a corner of our dishes and everything was delicious. Everybody we came in contact with was very friendly, and the entire place was spotless. Overall, an excellent first visit to Just Brunch. If you're in the Duluth area, definitely stop by this Black-owned restaurant for breakfast to get your day started right. We had a surprisingly wonderful birthday brunch here. This is a small cozy restaurant in a strip mall with other restaurants around it, but those we spoke with were all waiting for brunch! Lol! Note: get on the waitlist through Yelp!!! Thank me later..lol The service was friendly, patrons are close to each other, but the vibe is still intimately inviting and not uncomfortable. Their sticky wings are crunchy & sweet! The pancakes were not too cakey and syrup was hot. My seafood grilled cheese was super cheesy and I wish it was grilled a little longer so it could hold the gooey inside better- but I still enjoyed it's buttery goodness. This time was a Wednesday morning and was able to get right in and seated. The decor is nice and the place was clean. The waitress Nyah was very polite and patient with us. The food was decent. The oxtail tacos was more coleslaw than oxtail on soft corn tortillas. You taste more coleslaw and tortilla with a hint of oxtail. They weren't nasty just wasnt what I was expecting. Also got the oxtail has and per Nyah suggestion, added extra oxtail meat and they did not disappoint. Everything in that dish was seasoned perfectly. Becareful because there was some small bones in it but none the less, very delicious. We also tried the cone'bread waffle stack was pretty good also. It tasted like a southern sunday dinner.
