Had a great experience here. The staff was excellent, from the hostess to our server. It is a very cool space, lots of things to look at while waiting for your meal. The food was excellent. We started with the sticky ribs, they slid right off the bone. They had great flavor with a nice sweetness to them. My wife got the Caesar with grilled chicken. It is basically a full head of romaine and she said she could tell that the dressing was house made. I got the Jack Pot and a side of Brussels. This is one of our go tos but our last experience wasn't as good. The inside was extremely cold! They need to turn the air down. But usually that's the kitchen because they are hot the restaurant suffers. Ordered a wedge salad to split and a margarita. The wedge was so huge so literally could feed a table for 4. Order the ribeye, brussel sprouts and corn gasm. The ribeye was very fatty and had a pile of fat that was 1/2 of the steak. My husband likes the coffee rub but it was too much. The sides are considerably smaller than the many times we come before. We came for my husband's birthday and they gave us the brownie with ice cream gratis but we took the coconut cream pie home. March 14 2026 - First burger of Explore Gwinnett 2026 #GwinnettBurgerWeek and it was a really good one from Uncle Jack's Meat House in Duluth by the Arena. Prices this year increased by $2 which is reasonable but I am never a fan of built in gratuity unless it's for large parties especially when the server forgets about your table. One of the staff said it was because of burger week. The Gruyère Croissant Smash burger description was: A gourmet beef patty, gruyere cheese crisp, American cheese, caramelized onions, bacon-onion jam, and sriracha aioli. Ambiance was like an industrial slaughterhouse, but in a clean & modern way. Very nicely put together. This was our first time attending here for brunch. 3rd burger for Gwinnett Burger Week 2026. Their Burger was definitely 5 star absolutely delicious! The place was totally empty as you can see by the picture but we went at 4:00. If you can see the young lady looking at her phone that's the hostess and that's why I didn't give 5 stars for the whole experience bc she acted so frustrated that we even walked in. I even tried my best to engage with her but her attitude was still evident that she was not happy with doing her job...I would suggest that she not be the first face that greets customers bc she sure didn't give the impression that she wanted to be there. Now the bartender that was our 1st server was FANTASTIC! Friendly with a beautiful smile and made us feel very welcome. She said that it was shift change so another person would take her place and the next server was just as nice! Engaged in conversation about Burger Week and the Burger that they offered. Both of those ladies were fabulous at their jobs (the young lady hostess could learn a thing or two from both of them). We also had a young gentleman stop by to ask if we liked the Burger which of course what's not to like . First it's on a croissant, grilled onions, American cheese, beef patty, bnb pickles, Sriracha aioli and the highlight was a crispy gruyere slice of cheese! It was called The Gruyerè Croissant Smash burger and I sure wish it was on their regular menu because I can't stress enough how very good it was! Since the place was empty it was very quiet and looked extremely clean. The restroom was super clean. We left at 5:30 and people were being seated and there was at least 15 staff people so maybe something was going on at Gas South Arena? We celebrated our one year anniversary here. Our server was kind and informative but not over barging. Even when he approached to check on us he realized I was still chewing and dismissed himself and said he would check back. I appreciated that. It rare to go out and have nothing to complain about. But that is the case here. Everything was phenomenal. I literally could not stop eating even though I was full. The sides are shareable we had the corn and brussel sprouts. OMG every bite was good. The steak was a char on the outside and perfect medium inside. Had a great evening with my wife and daughter celebrating my wife's birthday at Uncle Jacks Meat House. We all ate too much!

Attending a celebration of the mind with friends, I entered Uncle Jack's on a cold day to a warm welcome. The staff was nice from start to finish. We started our meal with the applewood bacon that's accompanied by peanut butter and maple syrup. It did have a nice smoky sweetness to it already. In my opinion, it needed nothing. The peanut butter and maple syrup was an ok addition but non necessary in my opinion. Everything don't have to go together. We came on a Sunday, and the mimosas were flowing for 2 hours. We ended up drinking 7 bottles. YIKES!!!! and yum! For my entree, I had the steak sandwich. Wow. The steak was medium, tender, cheese nicely melted, bread was crusty and the au jus was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed my sandwich. I got a side of the Brussels and the could use some restoration. They were too roasted and a pool of "sweet" was settled in the bottom. Overall it was a good time, with good company, food and music. I will come again! read more

Just breaded cheese wedges. (Cheese should be ooey-gooey inside!) Filet mignon was just avg, def not worth $44 no sides. Texas Roadhouse's is better. Server recommended the filet over the smokehouse platter, but didn't elaborate why. I Tried giving her the benefit of the doubt (that she wasnt trying to pad her tip with the more expensive dish), but I don't see how the platter could have been more of a letdown than the filet. Went during Sunday brunch hours. Several ladies at the table got the boozy brunch special which is unlimited mimosas for 2 hours for $24. That is a great deal! Today I opted for the mocktail which was a passion fruit mule with cucumber which was refreshing and I I had 2 of them. My friend and I shared the bacon for appetizer because we thought the bacon and peanut butter on the side was an interesting combo. Unfortunately I could do without the peanut butter and just have the bacon fried a bit harder / crispier and glaze without the peanut butter. My main course which was short rib Benedict on their homemade biscuit was very large and I had leftovers. The meat was seasoned well, the eggs were cooked well and the biscuit was good as well, just could've been toasted a bit less. This place has a dive bar feel but isn't one and the wait staff has on white button down shirts with a tie. The vibe and ambiance is good. Wow this place was awesome! I got the boneless ribeye Pittsburgh style and it was amazing. The 5 cheese Mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts, wagyu meatballs, and bacon were all perfect. First, the service here is so friendly and on top of it! Our waiter, Eldin, went above & beyond to make our experience perfect; we didn't need to ask for anything, he was super kind, & he even made great recommendations! Not only did our food come out quick, everything was cooked to perfection! I got the Atlantic Salmon & my husband got the Smokehouse Platter (the BBQ sauce on that is soooo good) Our drinks were very well made, all of the ingredients blended well & nothing was overpowering. Do not attempt to make a reservation for a group. They will tell you they have you down, but when you show up, they play dumb. "We don't have any reservation for you." I even called back to confirm a week after the original reservation, and was again told, we got you, all good. Our company Christmas luncheon was ruined. We all had to sit at separate tables. Though fantastic, be prepared to spend a minimum of $50 a person. Our bill ended up being over $400 for 4 adults to dine. Like most high end steakhouses, the steaks are served ala carte and all "shareable" sides were $8 each and on the small side (each is big enough for 2 people). We ordered the charred octopus and bacon appetizers for the table. Omg both were so yummy! Something I tried for the first time was dipping my bacon in peanut butter... Seriously I was mind blown! For entrees we all ordered steaks. I ordered the 8oz center cut fillet with the porcini rub. I love how the steaks come out with a roasted shallot on top! It was delicious.... For our sides we ordered the corn'gasm, the Brussels sprouts, the mushrooms, and the cauliflower gratin. Our meal was really great and definitely enjoyed by all. We have been wanting to try Uncle Jack's Meat House for a while now. Friday night we made reservations for 8 pm. The restaurant is on the smaller side. During the summer, they have outside seating to enjoy as well. We started with drinks, ordering the skinny spicy margarita, and the espresso chocolate old-fashioned. Both were on point! So delicious. Our server was prompt and friendly. I couldn't wait to order the Reuben sandwich with fries, and my husband ordered the fish and chips. Neither of us found the fries particularly tasty. They seemed hard rather than crisp, and were just boring. I will say that our table was very close to the door and everytime it opened, a burst of cold air hit the table, we both kept out coats on the entire time, so maybe it cooled off the fries to fast. The Reuben looked good, but the bottom slice of bread was very soggy, so perhaps the generous slices of corned beef were too moist, or perhaps it was the cold air hitting the sandwich. All the sauerkraut was on one side of the sandwich, and the side I ate second. I wish I had started with that side. It was tasty, but not awesome. All in all, we were rather disappointed, but the bar service was creative and delicious! Perhaps, we try it again next summer and enjoy the patio. read more

We wanted the Fried Grande Mozzarella Wedges for our table (5) to just have a taste, at maybe $14. Our server told us there are, "only 2" so we passed. If she didn't say something & 2 came I would have been upset!!! Server was sweet & offered her input which we appreciated very much! The fish & chips I had needed more seasoning. I had a side BIG baked potato, but it needed way more toppings & for $14 I would expect it to be LOADED!!! Mom had a bun-free burger with what she thought would be blue cheese crumbles, instead was a thick sauce. She loved the burger, but was too much for her stomach (she was up all night). Everyone else LOVED theirs & we will be back. They just really need to bring costs down just a little. Come on, it isn't THAT good or super high-end. Came by for dinner on a Friday. It was pretty busy. We were offered indoor or outdoor patio seating. We opted for indoor. The fans were very strong and they were able to adjust that for us. We had a lovely and attentive server but the burgers left us wanting more. We tried the ooey gooey, truffle mushroom, and the pulled pork one (can't remember the name). I tried all of them and they were all on the plain side and the buns got soggy immediately from the size and weight of the thick patty. The ooey gooey was the most savory and flavorful since either had bacon and blue cheese. But unless you really like blue cheese, the blue cheese was too overpowering. The mushroom and swiss was rather light but they put all the mushrooms inside an onion ring that's on top of the patty so it was just too big to bite through and get even portioned bites of everything. We had to use forks and knives. The burgers came with a simple side salad which was very good. Burgers were around $16-19. The apple smoked bacon appetizer $15 was good. Very yummy dipping sauces and tasty thick bacon. The spiced margarita was good as well. I wouldn't come back for burgers but I've heard good things about their other options. read more

***Birthday Dinner*** Made reservations through Open Table and after a few days UJMH canceled it. I then made it again, same time & date & didn't have an issue. Arrived on time & was sat by the front door which I thought was odd for a reservation especially because there was better seating but I didn't make a fuss about it. Our waiter sucked. He wasn't personable, pleasant, or attentive. It took him after 2 visits to our table to go over the dishes & offer suggestions. After 25 mins of waiting for a drink from the bar, my husband told him to cancel it. The waiter then comes back puts the drink on the table & under his breath says, "It's on the house." I mentioned in the reservation & when I arrived we were celebrating a birthday. I didn't expect them to sing or anything just give great service "maybe" say, "Happy Birthday." Well, we got neither; although our Waiter did bring a piece of a brownie to our table to share & said, "It's commentary." and that's it. Didn't acknowledge why it was complimentary. It was a piss poor experience. I mean truly disappointing. Be careful where you sit. The fans inside and outside can dry out your eyeballs. I sat outside because we were initially seated inside by the bar and omg the fan was like a tornado above our heads. Not sure how me and my husband managed to spend $170 for dinner. We shared one bacon appetizer, each got a meal, each got an alcoholic drink, each got a dessert. My drink was some sort of whiskey cocktail and I kid you not, I think the whole cup was whiskey only. I didn't taste the peach flavoring or whatever it was supposed to be garnished with. However, the notice that there's a 3% credit card fee is in tiny print at the bottom of one section of the menu, and it's easily missed if you're not ordering from that section. Frankly, that's really shady. If you're going to charge extra for using a credit card, the notice needs to be so prominent that the average customer doesn't miss it. Also, stop calling it an admin fee on the receipt. That just makes it look like you're trying to hide it and it's tacky. read more

This place gives me the meat sweats. In the best way. We came here for a late lunch on a Sunday and they were pretty empty. The dinner crowd hadn't trickled in yet. The atmosphere is very chic industrial. It looks casual but you can still dress up a little nicer and fit in or just wear your jeans and T-shirt. They even have a private party room. Our server was attentive and friendly. Made jokes with us and gave us great recommendation. Drinks were delicious. I opted for a skinny spicy margarita and it was yum. All their cocktails looked great. For our apps: Bacon: How can we not? It was deliciously gluttonous and presented in the most unique way. Wagyu meatballs: Good but I thought it was unfortunate to take such a good cut of meat and ground it up. Doubt they are using high grade for this. Flavors were spot on though. For my entree, I went with the sweet and spicy chicken sandwich and it was a whole lotta chicken. Super crispy and delicious. My husband got the burger and it was seasoned very well. They also have the good fries. IYKYK Prices are more on the higher end so expect to spend $40-50 per person after drinks, apps, and entrees. I recently dined at Jack's Meat House in Duluth, GA with a party of eight, and the experience was very disappointing. One of the members of our party ordered a steak costing over $50. When the rest of our food came out, the server explained that the kitchen had simply forgotten to make it. When it finally did arrive, it was rushed, badly overcooked to well-done, and clearly not what was ordered. The guest was so hungry by that point that he ate it anyway, but nothing was done to make the situation right--no apology from management, no offer to fix it, no adjustment on the bill. To make matters worse, when the check arrived, there was a 20% service/gratuity charge automatically added. At no point were we told about this policy, nor was it listed on the menu. When I asked the server, they claimed it was shown on the menu, but when I asked to see it again, they refused. I later checked the menu online, and sure enough, there was no mention of this charge anywhere. I considered disputing the charge with my bank, but I decided leaving this review would be more helpful. The lack of transparency, poor service recovery, and refusal to own up to mistakes show a serious lack of professionalism. read more

The burgers used to be the best burger in town, and now it's just meh. ho-hum. boring. 1/2 size what it was, for higher price ttag. They cheaped out on size of the burger, and quality and quantity of toppings to the point it's just no longer worth the price. we've been coming to this location for maybe seven years now, after Covid it all went downhill. We gave them grace during Covid figuring they were trying to save money as they shrunk the food sizes down, raise the prices, started charging ridiculous. Eight dollar take out fees. And when I order out, we always got screwed even worse on the quantities. So we had a no more takeout from Jack's rule in my house. But we still went there to eat in person occasionally. Slightly better experience, but overall still the same issue. I remember when you could get that Ooey gooey Mooey burger- piled high with numerous pieces of them, maple bacon, a gigantic portion of the pulled pork and a big old fat burger that I could barely eat half of without the bun. It was ridiculous and wonderful all at the same time! Now I eat the whole burger, lucky to piece together what would equal a quarter to a half a piece of bacon and a pinch of barbecue, the burgers probably at least only half as big as it was very disappointing. Only haven't gotten steaks a couple times a year there, my recollection of the changes aren't so substantial in that area, but I'm sure others could tell you better at the same has happened to those as the hamburgers. read more
