Very disappointed.the food sucks . I could have visited a reg Mexican restaurant and my whole experience would have been being better. Service poor. Ambiance is good. That's it.
Great ambiance, music, and feels like an upscale restaurant with yummy food! Waiters knew everything about the menu. The Camarones on the main menu was my favorite, especially because it was spicy! Real authentic spice, not the buffalo sauce junk. Carnitas were fall off the bone, great for the bland eaters. Tacos came in the blue corn tortillas which I've never seen. Ceviche La Viuda Negra is a great fresh starter with a large portion. Empanadas had a nice portion of meat, bigger than usual, and also easy to share. They had a great drinks menu but a little weak on the alcohol. La Papis cocktail tasted like grape soda. Overall, we will be back to try other items on the menu.
The vibe is great, but I don't think I'll be back unless it's for lunch. We came for dinner, and I was disappointed with the value of the steak fajitas ($21) and wasn't told until after my food was on its way that it comes with (3) blue corn tortillas. The waitress said there were frozen margaritas, but then came back to the table to say they didn't have those. They do have pina colada though, so I ordered that ($16!), but it tasted less like coconut and more like pineapple. (I should have known better than to order a drink from a menu with no prices listed on it.) My husband got a steak quesadilla ($18), which did seem like a good value since it came with rice. While we were there we saw that the lunch quesadilla was $13, which does seem reasonable, so again, if we were to go back, it would be for lunch.
My husband and I took our father in law here for his birthday lunch. On first impressions, the restaurant was clean and bright, giving Mexico resort vibes with all the faux greenery lol. As far as the food, there was both lunch and dinner menu options. We ordered a couple of appetizers to share. We felt like the nachos were underwhelming - there were no toppings, just queso blanco and ground taco meat. It wasn't bad, just expected it to be a little bit more dressed up with pico/guac/sour cream/jalapenos and all. We also ordered the ceviche which was served with tostada chips and fresh avo. It was pretty flavorful. As far as the main dishes, I ordered the steak fajita cooked medium. It definitely came out medium well, probably due to it being cut up pretty thinly on a hot skillet. It came served with tortillas, rice and beans. Again, no toppings. My husband liked his carne asada, but it also came out overcooked. He had requested medium rare. Father in law ordered the chicken fajita and loved it. To celebrate his birthday, they gave us a complimentary slice of cheesecake which was a nice gesture. Overall, we had a good experience. Some aspects of the food was underwhelming but nonetheless we enjoyed our lunch.
My family and I had a great time at this restaurant. It was quiet and only one other couple was there on a Sunday for brunch. We planned to go elsewhere but preferred a quieter brunch that was more family friendly. Prices are moderate, but the atmosphere and service were great.
Visited during lunch. Server was nice, but had no awareness of speed and the fact that folks were on lunch. She was VERY slow. Quesadilla was thick and cheesy, but otherwise had NO flavor. No onions or peppers or anything. Tough to eat and enjoy because it was so thick and lacked flavor. Would not recommend. Too many other options with better service, PRICING, and flavor.
It's an " ABSOLUTELY" for me! Amazing Service! Attentive, Kind & Great!!!!!! I found my spot!!!! Beautiful aesthetic, with no neon signs..... I love it! The food was delish.... the drinks just kept on giving! This place has been on my list for the last couple of weeks so my niece and I decided to go and check them out and yes.....they did not disappoint. Great service, good food with reasonable prices. I ordered the rice bowl with no meat ( I'm a vegetarian), extra mushrooms, everything was great and cooked to perfection. The spices were spicing and the vibe was grand. It's definitely a great spot for group, also a great idea for family dinning and just great food in general . Go check them out!
Manager was great he checked in on us multiple times throughout our visit! Food was a 10/10 we opted to do Tapas between 4 people - definitely the way to go if you want to explore the menu We got the taquitos and empanadas and the chicken wings delicious, definitely adding this to my regular restaurant visit
This is my second time here, once for lunch and now brunch and this place is so slept on! I'm not sure why there isn't a line out the door, but it deserves it. The rice bowl for lunch is so good, and had burrito for brunch this time. Burrito was just ok, but I think I expected it to be typical Mexican burrito covered in sauce so that was my bad. Their salsa is awesome, not too spicy. We got mimosas to drink and first one is free on Saturday and Sunday! We've been to the brunch place next door, but it's always crowded and honestly overpriced. If you're looking for a more chill option, consider walking down the sidewalk some to La Viuda!
Stopped in today just to see the menu but stayed for brunch. And I am so glad we chose this instead of the popular (and overcrowded) spot next door. Immediately upon entering everyone was so nice. It's EXTREMELY clean, very pretty, and the music was great but thankfully not too loud. Best mango margarita I've had state-side. Delicious queso w/ chorizo, crepes, and omelettes. Service was excellent and we will definitely be back! If you're in the area, it's a great choice.
This place is awesome!!! The decor, spotlessly clean, and the food, drinks, and service were incredible! I will definitely go here whenever I'm in town again. They were even playing music from the band we were in town to see at Gas South...so cool!!!
This place is nice. Very inviting. The decor, the atmosphere, very nice. The food was fresh but not the best I've had. The server was flustered and all over the place and we were the only guests. We went on a Sunday after church when they opened. The server was giving everyday is his first day, even after being there 3 years. Complete scatter brain. Kept forgetting plates, water, drinks. It was a mess. But I would try it again with a different server and order different menu items.
Absolutely delicious. We came up for a show at Gas South Theater and stopped here for a late dinner. So glad we did! The empanadas were amazing, the pasta was a treat, and the tacos hit the spot. We will definitely drive up to Duluth just to eat here.

We recently stopped in for dinner and drinks, and I'd give the overall experience a C+. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful--upscale, stylish, and full of personality. The décor has a La Catrina/Día de los Muertos feel, and the bar is gorgeous, with colorful liquor bottles, skulls, and plenty of eye-catching details. The upbeat music added to the atmosphere, although at one point it briefly sounded like we were at Mass, and I almost started doing the sign of the cross! For drinks, the Marinero was good. The watermelon margarita was okay, but unfortunately, it really didn't taste much like watermelon. We started with the fresh guacamole, which was disappointing. It was pretty lackluster and needed seasoning. When I order fresh guacamole, I'm looking for that classic table-made style with chunks of avocado, cilantro, onion, fresh lime, and plenty of flavor. This just didn't have it. The chicken quesadilla with peppers and onions was good overall, although the chicken was a little dry. The rice was actually very good--fluffy and not dry at all. The charro beans, however, needed some help. They lacked seasoning and that wonderful smoky flavor I expect from good charro beans. Some flavorful chorizo would have taken them to another level. The sopa de pollo had a good base flavor, but some jalapeños would have given it the kick it needed. The complimentary chips and salsa were okay, but again, the salsa needed more spice and personality. That really sums up my experience: the restaurant looks more flavorful than the food tastes. The atmosphere is beautiful, the bar is impressive, and the restaurant has so much potential, but the kitchen needs to bring the same energy. Give me more garlic, cilantro, lime, sazón, spice, smokiness, and bold Mexican flavors. Get rid of the bland! Overall: C+ Beautiful restaurant and great atmosphere, but the food needs more seasoning and flavor to match the gorgeous surroundings. read more
Came here for lunch with a girlfriend. Very well decorated. Contemporary Mexican. Was soooo good. Food was very fresh and tasty. Chips and salsa very good as well. Had the chorizo and heuvos with rice and beans. All really good. My friend had the chilaquiles. It looks so good and fresh. Will try it for dinner soon. read more

We are on spring break with our 2 girls pulling a camper. Great parking nearby for us. The staff welcomed us even before we opened the door. We were able to sit on the patio with our 2 dogs. Our lunch was amazing! The girls (9&7) said it was the best lunch ever. The salsa and guacamole was fresh made. I had a strawberry mojito, delicious! The girls had the kids taco and rice. My husband had the burrito and I had the salad with eggs, Tofu, tomatoes and I added shrimp. The manager checked on us several times and our server was very attentive and sweet! read more

Being from LA it's hard to find good Mexican food...so, if youve been looking like I have, look no further. This is the spot! Tonight was my second time here for dinner. First and foremost, the ambiance is like Tulum vibes. Beautiful decor. Also, Great music but not too loud. The service is 10/10. I sat at the bar and was looking for a purse hook and was immediately approached with a stand for my purse. LADIES! We love not having to put our purse on the bar or hanging off a bar stool right?!? Magda & Jorge (I'm sorry if I'm wrong w the names) are the dream team behind the bar! Amazing energy, service and recommendations. DRINKS are epic. I basically tried all of them. My favorites being the volcano and the espresso martini. FOOD is insane. Chicharron de Ribeye is a MUST. Taquitos 5 stars. Salmon...amazing. Cooked to perfection. 10's across the board! Will def be back :) read more
