I came to Noona Meat and Seafood last night for dinner and I was pleasantly pleased. For our appetizer, we had ordered the chicken wings with daikon kimchee. The wings were tasty and flavorful. For our main course we both ordered the 10oz NY strip steak and boy oh boy was it one of the most amazing steaks I've ever eaten in my life! Every bite was delicious consistent throughout. The ambiance was incredible and perfect for date night. And our server was super sweet. I definitely will be coming back!!!

$3 for ice in a martini served over rocks that we never asked for. Who orders a martini over rocks??? Thought it was weird but here we are.

Really want to like this place but can't recommend. Food is subpar, drinks are weak and I got charged $3 for ice in a drink. I will explain more below. Ambiance is great - kinda small but cozy so great for date night or causal stop in while on the square. That's about it for the positives. Food is mediocre. Korean inspired dishes that are weak. The pork and lettuce wraps were bland. The pork was dry over cooked and onions lacked flavor. Got the 14 oz rib eye and it was thin sad piece of meat - over cooked in some spots and under in others. Nice smoke flavor where you could find it but otherwise non-eventful. The braised short ribs were good well cooked dish I'd recommend this if you were here. The kimchi collard greens sounded interesting but it was just kimchi. So disappointing. The drinks were weak. We had the Asian medicine which was ok a bit watery but better than the f-train. Not sure what f-train was but had no taste and watery. I don't recommend it. We ordered a dirty martini. Got it served in a glass along type of ice you'd see in an old fashioned. Thought it was weird but thought they were doing something to be different and non traditional. For some odd reason it was $3 for the ice. We didn't ask for it to be served this way. We didn't ask for ice. Who the hell would it's a damn martini which shouldn't be shaken by the way you stir it. That's why Bond had to say it since it's not the traditional method of making it. Anyway, I didn't catch it until I got home and looked the receipt and I've posted it. I guess they thought I ordered it this way. I didn't. Miscommunication? Maybe but $3 for ice? Guys...come on do better.

    The best broiled oysters ever!

Everything went well. The ambiance was laid back, the music was Excellent, impeccable service, and the food was on 10! Leon made this experience special. He said "Yes" to all of our requests. I requested oyster rockafella, which was not on the menu, but it made it happen. These were the best broiled oysters I've ever tasted. The entire staff was phenomenal! I did manage to take a photo of the oysters. Can't say the same for the steak and sea bass. I dug right in!

First of all let me say the staff was all really lovely- I felt like a valued customer from the moment we walked in. Our waitress was super friendly and really nice. The cocktails we started with were fantastic- the strawberry fields forever cocktail was the best! I could have drank a few of these!! Real fresh strawberry flavor. My second cocktail Seoul of São Paulo was also very fresh tasting but it was a bit strong for me Normally I'm not an oyster person, but I heard that they were known for them so when my friend ordered oysters Rockefeller I tried one, and I guess it was good, but I'm still not an oyster fan, even cooked. The seasonings, cheese and butter were very tasty on it though. They don't serve them in the shell but on a plate like escargot style just FYI. Then my friend and I split the arugula salad (the full portion is definitely very generous and our waitress said it was perfect for sharing so they went ahead and plated it separately for us) and it was fantastic, I ate every scrap of leaf and pistachio crumb on that plate! For my entree I got the grilled salmon with spicy kimchi fried rice- lots of great teriyaki flavor and the rice was delicious. I will say it was a bit salty, which is never a problem for me but it would have been for people I know. We were all too full for dessert this time around to have anything else after!

Our food and drinks were all very yummy. Only noticed that the food and drinks took longer to arrive after ordering than what seemed normal. I ordered a drink near the end of my meal and the others at the table ordered and received and ate the entire dessert before my drink arrived to the table. I almost had to tell them to cancel it. Inside was nice and okay, but we did have to ask them to clean our table as there was dried on food on it. If there had been no long waits and if the table had been clean, would have gotten 5 stars.

    Oysters - Wednesday happy hour

What a treasure in downtown Duluth!! Public parking right behind it.. there are street parking around but all with such limited parking (one of the cons). We sat out in the patio with our little dog. They open at 5pm and we got there at 5:30pm with an appointment for specifically the patio since we were coming with a dog. Yet, no tables were set up outside -- the host had forgotten we requested the patio. I was kind of thrown off by that, but it was quickly made up by their super nice waiter and of course the food. Wednesday happy hour included a discount in the oyster price as well as a 50% off wine bottles (no one told us about the wine discount though and we found ourselves through the check...). But again, everything was made up by the food.. We ordered the oysters, grilled octopus, duck breast, and scallops! I'm not a big fan of duck, but this was delicious! Not extremely chewy and doesn't have the smell. Flavors weren't too strong for all dishes. Definitely will visit again to try more of their menu BUT I will not sit outside again. Their patio was nice and big, especially since we were the only ones seated outside. But, we realized there was a reason no one sat outside. There were so many bugs around us. Bugs flew into our drinks, I had flies sitting on my food and little fruit flies or gnats and mosquitoes were just flying all around us. Apparently there was a rosemary bush that attracted all the bugs, but it was just too much. If we hadn't sat outside, it would've been a perfect date night.

Very disappointing experience. We came in on a weekday for dinner. The hostess was short with us and said they don't have tables even though I saw empty tables. I asked about the bar which was empty too and she said it was occupied too. I understand if those were reserved but as soon as we were about to walk out the door the manager ran over to us and told us they had tables available. It sounded like she just didn't was us to be seated. Hostess pretended like nothing happened and proceeded to seat us. I saw other a couple people come in after us without reservations and we're seated right away by the same hostess. The charcuterie was overpriced and underwhelming to say the least. The board was scarce with some cheap crackers and crumbles of cheese.

My wife brought me to Noona for a date night and it was such a treat. Walking in you can see decorated chandeliers. When looking closer at it, it reminded me of being on a ship, but at the same time a hunting lodge which goes exactly the theme of the restaurant. We had reservations, so we were immediately seated. I ordered the Asian Medicine (Penicillin) drink which was very tasty, sort of reminded me of honey mixed with water. We had a gameplan when coming here. We knew what we wanted to try and we stuck to it! Even though we knew that Noona is known for their steaks (I mean, Meat..) we decided for us to try the most amount of stuff we wanted to stick to just appetizers. Thus, we ordered from the appetizers: Oysters (Dozen, half + half) - I believe half were from Chesapeake bay and the other Long Island? I enjoyed every single morsel. Beef Tartare - Pretty simple, came with some bread, but the tartare was mixed in with some mustard seeds and well flavored. Mussels - BY FAR, this is a HAVE TO get appetizer. The bowl came filled, and reminded me of a classic Belgium pot of mussels. I would definitely say that if you were to get any appetizers (other than oysters during oyster season), this would have to be it. The amount that you get along with just the sauce with it to dip your bread in won it over for me. Blackened Tuna - I enjoyed the salsa that came with this but otherwise nothing too crazy. The tuna was perfectly cooked and was tasty. For an entree, we decided to share a braised short rib (that caught my eye when glancing on the menu) and as a couple of sides we shared the cheese corn along with some scallops. The braised short rib wasn't bad, glazed, however the downfall for this dish for me were the carrots. They were absolutely way over-salted, like almost the chef forgot that they had already seasoned it and seasoned it twice. However, the short rib itself was great, bit sweet, but the mash potatoes helped with the sweetness. The cheese corn was pretty great, you can tell that the corn was not from a packet and that they really shave the kernels from real corn. The natural sweetness also bursted out and cut through the cheese. The scallops were also pretty amazing, it was charred and had that nice grilled taste from it. Real simplistic, but it really showed how well it was cooked. Overall, Noona was great and an amazing addition to downtown Duluth. Would I come back? Absolutely, just for those mussels. Definitely would recommend if you want to try out a Korean flair to the normal steak and seafood restaurant.

Strawberry Fields Forever $10 and Asian Medicine $12

One of my new favorite places! I love seafood especially raw oysters, so naturally, it's what I wanted for my birthday dinner. We made reservations for an early Saturday dinner and were seated immediately. The place wasn't busy yet, but there were already a few diners there. There's plenty of parking around Parson's Alley. Let me start by saying the service was excellent! The staff was very friendly and attentive. The bar manager was our server and the owner checked on us a few times and even refilled our water. I can't say enough good things about their team! Onto the food. We ordered the following: Half Blue Point, half York River $19.95 Strawberry Fields Forever $10 Asian Medicine $12 The Perfect Pear $11 Hearth Grilled Octopus $15.95 Blackened Grouper $24.95 Market Catch (Crab stuffed Georgia trout) $Market price The drinks are delicious! Both of my cocktails; strawberry fields forever and perfect pear were sweet and refreshing. My favorite has to be the strawberry. I'm not a whiskey drinker but even I enjoyed the hubs' Asian medicine drink, too! The oysters were fresh and satisfied my craving. The octopus app was tender and flavorful. I could have easily eaten three plates of those. Both the fish entrees were incredible. The entree portions were big and filling. Cooked and seasoned perfectly! Since it was my birthday dinner, they brought out a huge chocolate cake after our meal, on the house. Hubs and I have raved about Noona to our family and friends since and we cannot wait to go back!

For starters, we ordered 1/2 dozen raw oysters & the broiled (classic style) oysters. Raw oysters were good, but the broiled oysters (not pictured) were way over-salted and swimming in butter. The Lamb Pasta did not have as much lamb or gochugaru as I'd hoped, and overall lacked flavor. Wished there was more parm, spice, and that the pasta itself had more of a bite to it. My boyfriend ordered the ribeye steak though, which was seasoned well and cooked perfectly medium rare. Maybe if we'd gotten other dishes we would've enjoyed the food more. I wouldn't recommend the pasta, and would say to stick w the raw oysters instead of the broiled. Grab a cocktail too - they were pretty good.

"There's something magical about rooftops. You feel like you're in 'Mary Poppins."…read moreGeorge Clarke There really is something special about being on a rooftop on a perfect summer evening, and it's great to have it right in downtown Sugar Hill. I would like to say I planned the perfect date, but as some of the best things in life, this was just an impromptu visit to cap off an already great evening. Outside of being on the rooftop, the bar itself is upscale yet approachable, service was fast and friendly. Being a bit of a self engrandized home bartender I'm a bit critical when out of my home lab, but their Smoked Old Fashioned wasn't bad. ("Wasn't bad" really means very good.") While I don't love the prices and hate paying a cover charge, when you throw in live music, a great vibe, and a view, I can't really complain. The owner made an announcement that whoever tipped the band $10 would get a free drink, and since most drinks were over $15 I thought that was cool on many levels. Will definitely be back to The Rooftop!

We walked around and finally ran into a waitress who told us to sit anywhere we wished inside or outside. The only area festive was inside a closed igloo and no heaters were on outdoors which was just a tad too cool for me despite the super nice weather that day. It would have been so to sit outside but without the warmth of the heaters we headed inside. We placed our order and explained we were just there for a pre-dinner drink and wanted to check out the venue so we didn't leave our tab open but we were quickly served the fabulous taking drinks on their menu(s). The Old Fashioned was on the regular menu and the Russian was on their seasonal tabletop menu. Server was very nice and took photos for some ladies we met. The only reason I can't give them a 5 star is they claim they are big on hospitality but yet we were not acknowledged upon arrival. Many restaurants and even some retail stores have a way to ensure they say hello/welcome immediately when you enter and without a hostess - the mindset should be that the bar or wait staff have a way to immediately say hello or welcome so those who have never been feel welcomed as well as those who frequently come. It would be nice to have a more festive decor for the holidays but that didn't affect my review; just a statement to say that the entire Sugar Hill area was pumping and themed with the holiday spirit then we walked in the only area decorated was not even accessible nor was it offered as an option to enjoy.

I had gotten here around 4:30PM and went to the pool table, I had been waiting close to 15-20 minutes to be served. I just went to the bartender with a slicked back bun and wearing a burgundy shirt named "T" to ask for a drink since my friend had gotten there before me and said she had taken his order prior to me getting there. After waiting about 3 minutes at the bar, she approached me and rudely asked if I had been sitting by the pool tables. I replied and said "yes I'm sitting near the pool tables" and she responded rudely again and said she couldn't take my order and the server sitting in my section would take it. I had told her "okay, well I have been sitting here for a while waiting to be served and I wanted to order a drink" and she responded and said "well we didn't see you over there, go back to your table and I'll get your server" The server named Dom, took my order and I asked him for her name since he either saw/heard what happened. Bless his heart for trying to rectify the situation by bringing the food out quickly and being more pleasant. What makes the story worse, is that this bartender (after she yelled at me) went back to the pool tables where we were sitting to take away plates for another table she had already served and they were sitting one table over from us. So she served them (males) and my friend (another male) and felt like she refused to help or serve me. Overall, I would come back but definitely steering clear of that rude bartender that was very sarcastic and had a nasty attitude. Definitely go there on weekend nights when different bartenders are working and aren't as rude.

I have a receipt from three years ago because I wanted to remember certain drinks that was ordered. Well... The Irish car bombs for instance has not increased in price: $7.50. I can't believe some of their prices haven't changed in years. But their drink selection has all sort of types and prices. I used to frequent the Peachtree Corners location, but that location has since closed down. This newer location is pretty spacious inside.

Overstory has officially earned a spot on my "I'll be back" list!…read more From the moment you step onto the rooftop, the ambiance sets the tone. It's modern, chic, and has the perfect grown-and-sexy vibe for date night, girls' night, or simply unwinding with cocktails while watching the sunset. The views are beautiful, the music complements the atmosphere without overpowering conversations, and the overall energy is just right. Now let's talk about the food... my lamb sliders and shrimp croquettes were simply delicious! The lamb sliders were juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, while the shrimp croquettes were crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and packed with flavor. Every bite left me wanting more. The cocktails were equally enjoyable, and the presentation of both the drinks and food matched the upscale feel of the rooftop. Service was friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout the evening, making the experience even better. If you're looking for a rooftop experience outside of Atlanta, Overstory is definitely worth the drive to Duluth. Whether you're celebrating something special or just want a beautiful place to relax with good food, drinks, and an amazing atmosphere, this is the place. Yelp Elite Tip: Try to arrive before sunset so you can enjoy the daytime views, watch the sky change colors, and then experience the rooftop after dark. **This review is specifically for Overstory Rooftop Brunch**…read more Made a solo reservation on a Sunday to have brunch before seeing a show. The good parts didn't outweigh the not-so-good for me. 1. Located on the 9th floor of The Westin, BUT, parking is mad affordable, which is a big relief as usually hotel rooftops have a static valet parking fee for $25 or more. There is a garage right in front of the entrance and its 5 bucks for up to 4 hours. 2. Views - decent enough for the 9th floor, but mostly overlooks trees and some highways. There isn't much to actually look at as far as a skyline. I was here in the daytime though, maybe at night with whatever city lights coming in, it may be a lil more charming. 3. Ambience - the inside was really nice, the tables were big and seating was comfy, a combo of cushioned chairs and velvety booths or couches. nice decor, and the outside portion of the rooftop also seemed very spacious, with a big main area as well as seating & a few more tables down the side of the building. I went during the yacht rock brunch period, so there was a live DJ spinning old hits from the 70s/80s. the music was at a cool volume, not so loud that you can't hear anyone speak, but not too low like background music - loud enough that you feel like its okay to vibe out. 4. Food & Service - this is where it fell apart for me. when i was seated, it took about 15-20 minutes for my waitress to come and ask me what i wanted to drink. when she finally did, i realized this same woman had walked past me several times before, on the way to do nothing in particular. she didn't introduce herself but was polite. she brought out my coffee and took my order, it took an hour for my food to come out. and the place wasn't crowded. only 2 couples sitting outside and about 40% capacity ithe indoor section where I was. and the food was subpar. it all came out hot, BUT. chicken sausage was hard to bite because casing was burnt and tough. eggs were cooked with so much butter it just tasted like i was eating fluffy butter. biscuit was dry and couldn't possibly be homemade. 'parmesan potatoes' had a few sad dried dots of cheese and parsley but no seasoning whatsoever. i forced myself to eat about half. I live far from Duluth, so really no reason to come back. Maybe a nighttime hang with drinks only, on the outdoor terrace would be a slightly better experience. But I don't have to find out.

Very chill lounge with an intimate feel. I went on a Friday night and there were few patrons. The…read morebar tender made the drinks and hookah, and both were pretty good. They have a few TVs for viewing and had a live belly dancer briefly perform. They didn't have a DJ. It seems like they were playing music from a music playlist, which was a mix of RnB and Hip Hop. Their menu has food, drink, and hookah options. They had nothing on the menu except for Suya; so, we didn't have food. The drinks were pretty good and reasonably priced, given that they were served in plastic cups. The hookah was pretty good and lasted awhile. Of note, the bartender couldn't take cash because she didn't have enough change in the register to return; the only option was card payment.

The sign would advise they open at 5, but doors wouldn't open until nearly an hour later. They would frequently do grocery runs to Walmart then charge you the same amount for items such as wings that were clearly different and finally arrived right before they close the lounge. So you literally had to box them, then pay your bill to close..... With that said, The recent visit I made last week was MUCH better. Decor of this locale is real loungy and sleek. Nice ambiance for a Gwinnett experience...The staff is very pleasant, and the Siracha wings are amazing!!! Presentation was so simple but nice... My friend got another chicken dish, that kinda looked like a Cordon Bleu, and that was quite tasty as well. Drinks are fair, (tiny portions with ice), and the music is good. Mix of African/Reggae/HipHop. In all, I recommend this place if the consistency stays like this....but I had to be honest about my previous experiences.
