Impossible Gyoza combo
Oulimata D.

I come to this location quite often, but this past weekend(2.13.26) was by far my best trip into Jinya. The food was absolutely delicious and I regrettably forgot to ask who the chef was that night. Everything was so rich in flavor and perfect! I took my mom out to dinner and we sat at the bar for a little over an hour. Since we wanted to sit at the bar and they were pretty busy, we were waiting to be seated for about 10 minutes because the counter hadn't been cleaned from the last group. I ordered the spicy creamy vegan ramen with spicy sauce, garlic, and hot sauce on the side. I made the ramen into a combo and got 4 vegan gyoza and a house salad for an additional $7. The combo is such a great offer because I never waste food with the limited gyoza count. When I usually come here they forget the crispy onions on the ramen bowl, but this time it was served to perfection. My mom ordered the kids meal which comes with salad, french fries, a rice bowl, crispy chicken, a ramen bowl, an orange slice, and ice cream(so much, I know!). Unfortunately, she mentioned that the soup noodles were very mushy and lacked flavor which she said was pretty unusual. She did, however, say that the chicken was so crispy and that everything else was delicious. She orders this every time we go to Jinya but this day our server mentioned that he would have to ask if an adult can order a kids meal because it might not be allowed. Ultimately, they let her order it, but that was pretty unusual. We sat at the bar and watched the olympics and had a great night. Our server/bar tender was Jayson and he was great! He never made us feel rushed or like we were asking too much of him, so that is always a plus. The interior was very clean and I love how dim the lighting is. It gives such a foreign experience, so it allows you to really feel like you are at a ramen bar. There are cool paintings on the wall and when you walk in, they shout something in Japanese, but I never know what it is that they are saying lol. I assume it is a welcome:) While my ranking is closer to a 4.5 out of 5 due to the kids meal, it is usually a 5/5 and I would totally recommend this specific location!

Stopped in here for some small bites and caught a great happy hour! They have some awesome promotions running. Even though a few menu items I wanted weren't available, everything I did order tasted fresh and delicious. The broccoli was definitely my favorite, and the dressing on the side salad was yummy! The ambiance was clean and inviting. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and upbeat. I'll definitely be back!

I've been going to jinya locations for years now and I still like their ramen, especially the tonkotsu black! We like to swap the standard thin noodles for thick noodles for no price difference. If you like the chewy noodle texture, the thick noodles are delicious. My favorite combo is to get some fried chicken karaage to dip into the broth. Portion with thick noodles is big in my opinion. I cant finish the bowl. Its a nice savory satisfying meal. I think the toppings have changed over the years, so its a little plainer than I remember. I love the mushrooms for the crunchy texture but would prefer the pork chashu to be softer. It was hard to chew and tough, so I skipped eating it. We went on a weekday around 6. There was no wait and service was friendly and fast. Food came out within 10 minutes and the fried chicken came our almost immediately. The chicken was so crunchy and delicious. Nice big pieces too. 2 to katsu black ramen and 5 piece chicken was around $48.

JINYA in Duluth was SO good! The ramen was rich and flavorful, perfectly cooked noodles, and the broth had that slow-simmered depth you can taste in every bite. The appetizers were just as impressive, and everything came out fresh and hot. Definitely one of the best ramen spots in the area. I'll absolutely be back!

I've been here multiple times and always enjoy it. This time, I came on a Friday afternoon during lunch time and sat at the (what I guess was) the ramen bar overlooking the kitchen. The service was quick. I ordered the spicy tuna tacos (2), tempura Brussels sprouts (my fave) & the chicken yuzu delight ramen. All were delicious. My only sidebar is that the lunch menu could be better. It should have more options for people who don't eat pork or meat.

Premium Tonkotsu Red* level 4

Reese is the best server we've had in a long time. Completely changed the vibe when he started taking care of us. Tonkatsu Red had a nice kick on level 4. Chashu wasn't dry -- perfectly tender. Ramen was perfect temp to eat immediately. We also had the crunchy Tuna Taco, but ate it way too fast for photos. Highly recommend it.

Jinya is a solid choice if you LOVE garlic lol. At least that's what I instantly thought of of their tonkotsu broth. Their appetizers are great, everything came out fresh to order. Hubby and I went on a weekday during lunch and service was great/food came out quick! They have an outdoor patio that can seat quite a number of people. They also have an indoor bar. Parking is free. Overall, a pretty solid choice if you're craving Japanese ramen. Would definitely recommend if you're in the area!

One of the best Ramen I've had in Atlanta this place has multiple locations, but this location does have a lot of seating available as it is not busy as the downtown area. There are plenty of options, but we chose a spicy lemon. It was mouthwatering it really enhance taste buds and the pallet. There's plenty of parking available outside. The service was super amazing. Everybody was so nice playful, joyful, and they were making us laugh. Every time we see them would certainly come back to this place and try like other stuff I want to talk about the ambulance because this place does have a very dark ambience just like a shack in Japan.

Premium Tonkotsu Red*

This was a tough one to rate. I'd probably rate it 3.5 if half stars were available. The takoyaki and the jinya red ramen both tasted good. The texture on the takoyaki was on point with it being creamy inside and a soft crunchy outer. They shred the bonito flakes which I didn't care for as I felt I didn't get the usual experience and taste from it. I also wished there was more octopus in the takoyaki. The heat level of 5 was a pretty good heat level. Probably too spicy for those who aren't used to it, but I think I could've done to level 6 despite the waiter's warning. I ended up with 5 since they charge you extra to go up to level 6 and beyond. The ramen noodles had a good chew and bounce. I wasn't as impressed with the chashu though. The fat to meat ratio was just okay, and the fat wasn't rendered down enough. The matcha tiramisu was good but nothing impressive. I'd skip The waiter was super friendly and attentive. We were seated right away at the bar. It's a little small inside but still comfortable.

French Fries w/ Truffle Ranch and Spicy Mayo
Leilani S.

Came to Jinya for dinner like we always do when my girlfriend's in town! I tried the vegan red fire opal, and it was sour (bright, lime flavor) and spicy just how I wanted it to. We also tried the fries with truffle ranch and spicy mayonnaise, a new addition to the appetizer selection. Very tasty, salted fries and both sauces were good, although the ranch was on the thinner side and the truffle flavor was very subtle. Not bad for $3.50. Ava took great care of us, and we sat outside and enjoyed a windy afternoon warming up with our bowls of ramen :)

Yummy mocktail!

Omg finally! On the coldest day of winter (so far), my best friend and I decided on ramen! I have been wanting to try Jinya for yearssss so I was very excited. Inside is cuteee, so much bigger than I expected. Our server was really helpful and patient with us while we figured out what to order I got the creamy vegan ramen with a mocktail and added a seasoned egg. The egg was such a game changer but I think the ramen would be amazing even without it. I loved everything !! My best friend got a chicken ramen and added shrimp dumplings. We were both really happy and definitely satisfied our craving in the cold Can't wait to stop by at another location !

JINYA Chicken Ramen*

I had an amazing experience here with my sister! We wanted to stop by and try the birria ramen. The service was amazing the moment we walked in! We stopped by around 7pm on a Sunday. The birria ramen was pretty good, but not something I'd reorder. I love my usual (spicy creamy vegan). My sister had the spicy chicken ramen which is her absolute favorite and was so so delicious. Of course, I had to get the matcha lychee lemonade which is my top favorite mocktail EVER, please try it out! To switch things up this time around we grabbed dessert, we had the Panna Cotta which is a must have. It's homemade and made up of caramel cream sauce, graham cracker and some kind of vanilla ice cream on top. It's similar to the texture of flan, it's so so good and the perfect way to end our sister date meal! As always, a great experience here at Jinya Duluth!

We were in town for tournament and kids was craving some Ramen, We got seated pretty fast, consider we have 8 people The noodles was excellent, kids devoured their ramen quick, I got Tonkotsu Red level 4, it was AMAZING, if you can eat spicy, that's the level to get(the more you eat, the more spicy it get, and it's the good kind) We also got Tonkotsu black, it was a little bit salty for me, but it was still good! Service was a little slow I feel, other than that everything was good

Perfectly cooked, super fresh, and packed with flavor without being overdone. You can tell a lot of care went into the dish. We also tried the chicken wings and got them extra crispy definitely the right move. They came out flavorful with a great texture, and we'd order them again. The lobster and shrimp were also a solid choice grilled with a nice bit of char that added great flavor without overpowering the seafood. The steak, unfortunately, didn't quite hit the mark for us. It wasn't bad, just not as memorable as the other dishes. Overall, the vibe was great nice atmosphere, service wasn't as attentive as we would've liked and the menu is pretty small. The UWT salad was just ok, the Buffalo Chicken Flatbread was almost uneditable, the Korean Shortribs were not any better. The flatbread was swimming in buffalo sauce and blue cheese. The Korean Short Ribs were literally pot roast with sesame seeds and green onions served a top a serving of dry potatoes. We enjoyed the ambience and the wine but would not go back due to the food. Admittedly we are foodies and this establishment did not meet our expectations. Really not trying to be a negative Nancy but this was not to our liking.

I was really looking forward to trying the oysters, but I didn't realize their menu changes often so unfortunately, no oysters this time. A little sad about that! We decided to order pretty much everything off the à la carte menu. Overall, the food was just okay to me. The Brussels sprouts were the hardest to eat they were basically raw, just thinly sliced with sauce poured over. It would've been much better if they were at least steamed or grilled a bit. The mushrooms, though, were absolutely BOMB! If I didn't know what it was, I would've thought it was some sort of meat dish super soft, flavorful, and delicious. Definitely the highlight of the meal. The Wagyu, on the other hand, was a big disappointment. For the price, it was tough and chewy when it should've been buttery and melt-in-your-mouth tender. I placed an order for everything on the carte menu. Food was fun and a few of the dishes caught me off guard, in a good way. Pros. We loveeed the maitake mushrooms. This dish was one dish my friend and I had low expectations for. Ironically it's the only dish we would go back for! The bucatini I also had low expectations for. I hardly order pasta, from non pasta specialty places, because the pasta is 99% of the time going to be overcooked. BUT this bucatini was cooked perfectly al dente. The sauce was rich but not too heavy and just enough to cover the noodles without drowning. The crab taste was pretty faint. If it weren't listed on the menu I wouldn't even think it were in the dish. Cons. The brussel sprout salad was honestly almost inedible. It is a raw shaved brussel sprout salad, dressed as a Caesar salad. Although not bad tasting, the core of the sprouts was not tender but dry and hard. There was also a lot of it. Most disappointing was the "waygu ribeye". The quality was pretty horrible. The piece we got had silver skin as well as chunks of fat. I wish I got a picture of the leftover fat from the steak but if you look at my picture you can clearly see slices of just fat. I love a little fat on a well cooked ribeye and do not mind paying for it. But paying $50 for a probably 8oz "waygu" ribeye with only half of it palatable is wild. Regardless, I'm actually going back in a couple of days with my husband because of those amazing mushrooms.. though as I am writing this review I'm debating on canceling my reservation, ordering the mushrooms to go, and just going elsewhere. lol
