Tried Okiboru for the first time and really enjoyed the food. Service was excellent, and our dishes came out in a timely manner. The spicy tonkotsu ramen lived up to its name, and I also sampled the spicy paitan noodles and although it was an interesting flavor, it may not be something I'd personally order again.
Delicious, simple, and so tasty. I've been to the nyc location as well but only tried the tsukemen. Here, the service was quick and the ramen was the perfect temperature when it arrived at our table, warm enough to eat immediately without burning the tongue. There's free parking garage as well. Def will be my go to spot for ramen.
This place is always 10/10. The spicy Tuna meshi is so fresh and taste delicious. I ordered the spicy Tori paitan today and the boldness in this chicken broth flavor has me in a chokehold! I love how creative their seasonal drinks are. And everyone here is so friendly. Ambiance is nice for a quick bite with pretty decor.
Sometime it hard to find good ramyum or japanese food in Georgia but OMG. OMG!!!! The Spicy Tori Paitan broth was DELICIOUS, with great texture noodle and gooey egg! I think I was transported to another realm. and basically ate whole bowl which can be hard for me with ramen (*'o'*) The Curry katsu don bowl was v good! would get again! super fresh taste! ( *w*)b The server was so kind to us and walk us through some options, and the seats were plenty and comfortable!! it's literally outside the mall. Wanna go back so bad!
Service was excellent, the food was extremely good and we will be coming back. This may be out go to when shopping at the mall
Very good broth, rich and creamy but not too salty. Great consistency of noodles, chewy and not too hard or soft. Good boiled egg. Sadly my pork was very dry in the tonkatsu. Otherwise everything else is great!
After reading some of the reviews I had to check this place out. I ordered Tonkotsu ramen with extra noodles and a side of karaage chicken. The broth was creamy but the flavor profile was lacking. Also there were no condiments on the table to help me out. The karaage chicken was on point! The service was excellent and I like the decor. Overall, it was a good experience and I'll try this place again!
We tried Okiboru for my husband's birthday and it was a great choice. We both ordered tonkatsu along with garlic nori fries and chicken karaage. Everything was delicious. The place was clean and surprisingly calm for being inside the mall. The staff was extremely friendly and checked on us often without hovering. The food hit the spot and we both agree this is one of the better ramen spots in the area. We will definitely be back.
So happy I found this place! I hadn't been able to find tsukemen anywhere in Atlanta, and this absolutely did not disappoint. It genuinely reminded me of my trip to Japan. I love that this spot isn't afraid to use a bold, strong broth--unlike some other cities I've visited where the flavors can be muted. Everything was rich and clearly intentional. A friend and I shared the buns, French fries, and gyoza, and everything was excellent. This is officially my new go-to spot!!!
We've been to Okiboru plenty of times at the Duluth location. We took a break since they recognized us so frequently, and low key felt embarrassed . However, I know for SURE the Duluth version is WAY BETTER than the mall of Georgia version, which this is the Mall of Georgia version. They did not cook this with love in my opinion. Not only that but I recognized they didn't have the mint lemonade I had at the Duluth location, so I guess not all locations are created equal? I mean clearly based on the food quality between both places. I will say, to my knowledge when I was first introduced to the chain, the sandy springs location was PEAK. Depending on where you go, they could be busy. Mall of Georgia on a weekend was not surprisingly and Duluth is a dice roll. Normally Sandy Springs I believe is always busy.
Okiboru recently opened at Mall of Georgia and it is located right next to The Cheesecake Factory. Me and my husband visited for dinner on a Monday night and it was super chill. Service was really quick and even though we had one designated server there were other servers/hosts constantly checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed. For starters we ordered the Okiboru Buns which are Bao buns and we ordered it with pork. It came with 2 for $9.50 and we thought they were okay. Honestly we've had better but they were not terrible. My husband ordered a Whiskey & Pineapple cocktail that I can't remember the name of but he really liked it. I ordered a ramune which is a Japanese soda and I was so glad they have those cause they're so good! For our entrees we both ordered the Truffle Shoyu Ramen but I got it with Pork chashu and my husband with chicken. It also comes with a soft boiled egg, spinach, chives & thin noodles. The broth itself AMAZING!! Super rich and flavorful. My problem with this place is the portions. Unfortunately I still felt kinda hungry after eating appetizers & ramen :( it was also suuuuper cold inside!! But other than that it's a really cool place for a quick lunch/dinner full of flavor!
My first experience with Okiboru was at the Buckhead location earlier this week. There I tried the Tori Paitan Ramen and the Ebi Karaage and both were delicious. The creamy chicken broth of the ramen and the umami mayo + pickled cucumbers served with the Ebi Karaage were a game changer! It was such a remarkable experience that I couldn't wait to try the Mall of Georgia location, which happens to be right across the street from my FAVORITE ramen restaurant (PAOPAO Ramen Factory). So I excitedly popped in for lunch. Since my favorite ramen @ PAOPAO is the Tonkotsu Ramen, I thought I'd order the same here to see how it compares to what I consider to be the best. [ THE FOOD ] Okiboru is truly a masterful broth maker, and the pork chashu was excellent; tender and flavorful. But I will echo the sentiment in my review of the Buckhead location: "It would have been nice if there were more toppings included, such as sweet corn or crispy onions." In comparison to PAOPAO, it's just a tad boring in terms of toppings, and while the ajitsuke tamago is good, PAOPAO's is amazing. Make no mistake, the Tonkotsu @ Okiboru is delicious, but not delicious enough to dethrone my favorite. I decided to also try the Crispy Goyza, even though I REALLY wanted to order the Ebi Karaage again. I must say I didn't really care for the Goyza at all and the Shoyu dipping sauce was, IMHO, too strong. It came with five fried dumplings, but I could only stomach two of them before abandoning the dish completely. I would have liked to order a soda, but I couldn't bring myself to order a $2.50 12oz can of coke instead of a refillable cup. TONKOTSU RAMEN (4 STARS) | $15.50 + .75 for spice on the side CRISPY GOYZA (2.5 STARS) | $7.50 [ SERVICE / ATMOSPHERE ] The interior is much larger than the Buckhead location and also more attractive. Service was fine, but there weren't many diners during my visit. Parking will vary depending on the busyness of the mall. The entrance is just off the concert stage courtyard behind The Cheesecake Factory. [ FINAL THOUGHTS ] My absolute go-to when visiting Okiboru will forever be the Tori Paitan Chicken Ramen and their Ebi Karaage shrimp appetizer. The chicken broth is truly exquisite and something I will crave often! The Tonkotsu Ramen is very good, but takes a back seat to the Tori Paitan. I do plan to try other items such as the Okiboru Buns, Ika Karaage (Calamari) and can't wait to sample the Tsukemen since I've never had a "dipping ramen." I also hope they will allow me to order the pork chashu in the Tori Paitan instead of the chicken karaage. I think that would be a tasty substitution.
Came here for lunch with a couple friends, broth here was amazing! Noodles were great as well. Customer service was quick and efficient. Their drinks were very good. The bathrooms were very clean, as well as the rest of the restaurant. The only downfall is lack of veggies you can add into the ramen but that varies with every ramen place. Will definitely be back!

We always have a good meal here, who knew french fries would be so good at a Ramen place. I am American however I do wish they had ketchup. They have many vegetarian options in the tofu Ramen bowl is excellent. We also had the spicy pork Ramen that was wonderful and the crispy pork pork dumplings were A+. Don't skip out on the appetizer of the edamame the sauce it comes in is addicting Services always pleasant. This place is located behind the cheesecake factory at the Mall of Georgia. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food inside is good if the owner is reading this putting some flowers or some plants in your flower boxes out on your patio would go a long way for your business dead flower boxes is never a good look. read more
I've only been to Japan about a dozen times to film and write about food content a minumum of 2 weeks each time. So, I can only vouch for my experience eating Japanese food to state that the tsukemen at Okiboru is just like what I have eaten in Japan, specifically the Kansai region. Being that I prefer tsukemen over ramen, dipping sauce over soup, over the years, I have definitely eaten my fair share of this type of noodle. The broth is a thick gravy that is meaty and dashi-rich at the same time. Not too salty, although slightly bitter at times. What really stands out at Okiboru is their thick and toothsome tsukemen noodles. The texture of these noodles alone keeps me returning. QR code menu and friendly service. Bar style atmosphere at this location. So nice to have an authentic tsukemen shop at the mall. I like to stop by before seeing a movie. read more

Great new place! It's next door to Cheesecake Factory at the mall of ga. They've remodeled the place very well. The spicy tori paitan is definitely spicy with a rich broth. Lots of flavor! Kids loved the chicken karaage. It's fried dark meat, crunchy and moist inside. It's great to have another option for mall food but there are so many ramen places around. read more

What a gem of a ramen place at Mall of GA! They've just opened and we had to stop in. Everyone was friendly and the space is really well decorated. Our server was very nice and answered any questions we had. The prices aren't crazy either, which is a bonus! I opted for the Ramen with Tofu and it was delicious. The flavors all complemented each other well and the tofu had a great texture. Super excited to come back and try something new! read more

The food here is amazing! The best Ramen hands down. A quick tip: order a side order of chili paste and garlic to add to your Ramen and it's life changing. It was the best meal of 2024. Service is wonderful and the ambiance is very nice. I'm going back very soon. read more

We had no plans to eat at Okiboru tonight, but as we were searching for something out of our routine, and were walking up to the Mall of Georgia, we happened upon the "Now Open" banner hanging outside the door. We decided to check it out and get a feel for the vibe. We were welcomed in before we got to the entrance, which was a nice change from some chains we've been to lately, but we've been disappointed with a few Ramen experiences so we weren't certain. The host sat us and was very kind when we explained we were just looking. Cut to us meeting our server and ordering a Crispy Gyoza dumpling appetizer to check out the food quality and being blown away!!! The taste?? They're dumplings! How good could they be? Well, let me tell you! Best freaking ever! So the decision was made! Two fat white butts in the seats! Our server, Kevin, was incredible! He helped us with questions and we picked different dishes so we could sample different tastes. HOLY WOW. This is RAMEN, folks! Do yourselves a favor and get on over to Okiboru before the crowds discover it. The people are wonderful and the food is epic. I'm looking forward to next time already! read more

We really like this location as it's usually not busy and food arrives quickly to the table. The service has improved greatly since their early opening days; staff are more attentive than before. The ramen and appetizers are delicious. The summer matcha special is also a must try when available. read more

I want to give this place all five stars because the food and ambiance was excellent. However, I really dislike having to scan a QR code to look at a menu. I just believe every restaurant should have physical menus. Service was just ok. Nothing great. Had to get up to find napkins and extra utensils. Other than that, I would still recommend this place. read more

The food at this location was pretty good! The service was excellent. Although in the rear of a mall, the mall is huge and the location is very cute. Inside you will receive fast service and recommendations.. you have to try the fries with your ramen. The drinks are very delicious and strong to boot! Overall I would return for another family night without hesitation. Btw the spicy is really tame so don't be afraid to try it. read more
