I really wanted to love this place since it had a lot of good reviews but NOTHING was good. The Ginger salad dressing was runny & sweet. The salad had too much shreeded carrots and cabbage, and needed more lettuce (looks like coleslaw mix)-not worth $5 The Miso soup was not hot (lukewarm) with no flavor. The Broth was weak. More than half of the menu options are spicy. It was Cold inside & we didn't have a definite server. Both girls kept waiting on us which kind of got annoying because both of them would ask over and over if you were ready to order and then both of them brought the check. The Double tiger sushi was roll kinda fishy tasting (crab meat) and the shrimp looked raw. It was $1.50 extra for cream cheese The chicken Katsu came with the sauce already on it so then it's soggy if you wanna eat it later, but without it, it really had no flavor. Overall, it was not a great experience and I felt like it was a waste of $50.
Today I had a taste for sushi. Looking for a nearby sushi restaurant. I found Wicked Sushi. Came into a very welcoming environment. The customer service was amazing. Considering it was my first time visiting, they made some suggestions from the menu. I chose the sushi rolls, Kiss of Fire, and the Super Crunch to go. It was raining pretty hard at the time so I also got a cup of miso soup while I was waiting. The soup was good. Again, I got my sushi to go. But while driving I had to take a bite from both rolls. The rolls were just OK. They weren't the best I've had. But just the customer service alone would make you come back to try other flavors of sushi and other menu items.
This still is one of my favorite sushi places in all of Atlanta! Seems to be family-run and everyone super friendly. The chef is legit, place is clean, and they have saki and beers too. All of the rolls are delicious.
Wickedly large sushi rolls! Totally weird Christmas-Halloween-Easter decor in June. And grandma seems to be hoarding files in one booth like everything everywhere all at once. Service was pretty quick but I half expected some portal to some alternate reality.
The sushi here was decent -- it was all good and we finished four rolls between four people. We will be back to try other rolls, since it's hard to judge quality from one visit and one order. The service was minimal but efficient. The server wasn't chatty, which is fine with us, but there were two occasions when we waited longer than is normal for her to return. One of those times, we saw a warm roll sitting in the window until it wasn't warm anymore. The ambiance was very casual and the dining area was small. Not trendy or luxe but nothing to complain about.
Food: I read the other reviews and was looking forward to excellent sushi in an assuming, low key strip mall center (The shoppes of Buford next to Mall of Georgia). I will be honest and say other tables' sushi looked amazing. Yet I think I made bad selections. I did the lunch special rolls with soup and salad. I got a regular shrimp tempura roll and a specialty golden spicy tuna roll. The rolls came out quickly. Both were heavily shrouded with rice. The shrimp roll had a mix in that was heavily sugared. The spicy tuna tasted bitter and was bland (no spice). Again I am gonna think it was my selection but I did not eat it. Small salad (basically lettuce/cabbage/carrots with ginger dressing). Miso soup. My husband got shrimp teriyaki with white rice off the dinner menu. It was good. You will have to ask for yum yum sauce. Service: our wait was about 15 minutes for a table. We came at what I would consider the end of a lunch rush (1:30PM). Our server wasn't Uber friendly or anything, just took the order. Once food arrived, she was scarce but again the restaurant was busy. I had to ask a different server for wasabi and ginger with my sushi although my initial server said it came with it. Ambience: basic, small business setting. One TV with a holiday screensaver and some K POP music playing. Dim but not dark. Overall I don't live in this state so I likely won't be able to try the food again, but as stated earlier many others gave raving reviews.
Been here three or four times and sometime order for delivery. Very yummy. I have never had anything here that wasn't delicious. Friendly staff cozy restaurant. The BEST spring rolls I have ever had. Hot, crispy, thin with a very tasty filling. Get these for sure. Loved the Unagi and all the rolls. The only picky thing I have to add is I wish they had fresh crab and not crab stick. However I get that and most places use crab stick. Convent filling spot to eat!
Great Sushi & Great Service! The Viking Roll is a must, but everything here is delicious. Best Sushi in Town! Highly recommend!
This place has been on my radar for months so I'm so glad I got to try it. Just a heads up, this is a very very small location. I would not suggest this for large groups as I don't even think they have tables to fit groups of larger than 5/6. However, it still has a very cozy and authentic ambiance. Plenty of parking too! The sushi menu is online and very extensive. There is an option for everyone literally. I found myself falling for the hype and trying the Viking roll. It literally comes to you on fire which is pretty cool. It taste to me like a sushi bake which would've been good if it didn't have the random pieces of lemon in it. Since it's on fire literally it does take a moment to cool down so that is something to note. The Rainbow ocean roll was my favorite. 10 rolls for $17 is a steal in my book. If you like rainbow rolls you'd love this. Overall, I definitely would see myself coming back.
Hmmm... the food was decent had the: Viking roll, the Chu Chu, chicken fried rice and the California roll. As far as the rolls, the Viking looked good in theory with the whole fire show, it was not my favorite though others at my table enjoyed it more than I did. I felt like they used an overwhelming amount of cream cheese which overpowered any other flavor for me. The Chu Chu was quite tasty, I really enjoyed the seared white fish and the flavors with this roll. Chicken fried rice was not my favorite. I'd asked for green onion, no white onions and I was disappointed to see chunks of white onion. Others at my table seemed to enjoy the rice, so... California rolls were a simple, regular roll, really can't mess that up. It was fine. Lastly, the service-- service can make or break an experience and sadly, this was one of those. At every sushi restaurant I've eaten at (and I've had numerous experiences), you're provided with side dishes for soy sauce and small plates for the sharables. Unfortunately, we did not receive plates, asked for plates and those came "after" most of the rolls were gone, yet the table seated next to us received those at hello and continued to receive check-ins... our experience was entirely different, but why? We asked for napkins and... she literally brought 2 napkins to a table of four (with kids)... and looked crazy when we asked for more, I'll include a pic for reference. The last straw was that we placed another order and I told the waitress I would place another order once I figured out the next roll (I was actively looking at the options), next thing we know we received the bill. At that point, I no longer wanted to spend another dime here. It would have been nice to have the waiter clarify that we needed nothing else before making us feel unwelcome. **This business exists because of your paying customers! The popcorn lobster did NOT have lobster. The double tiger was pretty good. The restaurant in door was pretty small. The staff was nice This is my second time ordering from here. This place is better than most.
First time trying Wicked Sushi. I had high hopes for a place with 4-stars but found the whole experience was just A-OK. Food: * Hamachi Spoons ($15): Do not order. The yellowtail filled up barely half of the spoons. The appetizer was tasty, but definitely now worth the price. * Viking Roll ($17): Tasty, but heavy. The Viking roll is very interesting since it's lit on fire and brought out to you. If you like cooked rolls, this is worth a try. * Heart Attack Roll ($14): Another heavy/fried roll. * Jessica Roll ($15): Tasty. This one was my favorite of all the items we ordered. * Otoro nigiri ($16/2pc): OK quality. * Escolar nigiri ($7/2pc): OK. * Uni nigiri: Not great. I've had better uni elsewhere and would not recommend this. Service: A-OK. You'll need to use your camera to scan a QR code in order to view the menu. Service was pretty quick. Inside was a bit messy. Parking is free - shared with neighboring businesses. Overall, I likely won't come back. The sushi was OK, but the quality of the rolls and appetizers didn't justify the price.
Definitely disappointed with imitation crab meat when I saw the "crab lover" after I got home. The description had a little but it wasn't spicy at all and was sweet. It had no real crab meat and only imitation crab meat like my California roll. Paid $8 for my California roll and $14 for this "crab lover" that is same as the California roll.
We stopped into Wicked Sushi on a Saturday night after a neighbor recommended it, and it ended up being such a good find. We tried three specialty rolls and one cooked roll, and everything tasted really fresh. The miso soup was authentic and comforting, and the cucumber salad had a fun, unique presentation. The edamame was simple but done right -- fresh, not soggy. It's not a super fancy place, but we actually like that. The service was fast, and the whole experience felt easy and relaxed. We're newer to the area from NJ and still on the hunt for real, delicious sushi for our date nights, and this spot definitely hit the mark. We'll be back for more sushi soon. read more
Buford is so much less crowded during lunchtime compared to Suwanee and Duluth restaurants, so I headed over here to visit a coffee shop in the same plaza. I tried their $15 bulgogi lunch special bento box (dosirak), which also had a sushi roll. Loved that the bulgogi had vegetables mixed in for a more balanced meal. Definitely a solid lunch spot for Korean-American style sushi and cooked food. Atmosphere is strip mall style sushi. Service is very kind, where you are treated and welcomed like family. read more

Too much sauce on the sushi rolls for our liking, cannot really taste the fish/ingredients. Good service all around. The place wasn't overly crowded when we came for dinner in a Wednesday night. read more

GREAT service and sushi was probably the best in the area ! Salmon killer was my favorite and my husband got dragon roll which was amazing ! Mall of GA was good but I didn't like the sauce on top. Was not a fan of the jalapeno bomb, not enough fish and too much jalapeno read more

Food is fresh, exciting and delicious. Amazing menu and lots of choices. I loved the Hamachi Spoons and the Baked Lobster Roll. My partner ordered the Golden Tiger and Golden California Roll. Everything tasted great and the pricing was reasonable. 5 Stars The service however was abysmal. It took almost 10 minutes to get our drinks ordered. We did not get much service at all. We asked for ginger and wasabi (took over 10 mins and asking at least 4 people). Our rolls were nearly gone by the time we got what we requested which was frustrating. 1 Star It's a nice mellow vibe with music but it's pretty small and tight seating inside. 3 Stars read more

Wicked Sushi never disappoints! We have been going for a few years, all the sushi rolls are delicious and fresh. We have never had a bad experience. The waiters are very attentive and make sure that all of your needs are met. While the restaurant is not large, it is just right in size as it provides a more relaxed and intimate setting. read more

My sisters and I came here for dinner after a long day of shopping. This restaurant is next to the Mall of Georgia, so it was very convenient. The only thing I don't like about this place is the seating. Due to COVID I was expecting to be seated further away from other customers. But we were seated right next to 2 other tables. It was kinda tight to where I had to scoot my chair in, so other customers can get pass. I love agedashi tofu and get it every chance I get. I was a little disappointed it didn't come with the signature sauce you usually get with it. The Wicked Mandu is like crab Rangoon but with eel sauce and sweet and sour sauce drizzled over it. It was delicious and everyone enjoyed it. You must try the Viking roll! It's brought out in a dish that's literally on FIRE . You must wait until the fire goes out before eating. The food here is delicious! Enjoyed every bite. Will definitely be coming back. read more

First time trying wicked sushi yesterday and it was spot on! The food was served on time as it was during rush hours. The service was great and attentive. It gets a little crowded, so we decided to sit at the bar, but overall the food was 10/10 for us! I even forgot to get some shots before diving into it Will definitely be going back! read more

A MUST TRY! The food here is so so so good. I don't even like sushi but I tried it here and love it. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely stop in again. They have fast service and the prices are pretty good too. So this is an update to my first review 5 month ago. They still offer amazing service with great food. Today I decided I wasn't going to cook so I looked on Uber eats. I started to order from their but a notice that the fees where going to be $10 dollars so I decided to just drive to the restaurant and pick it up myself. I called it in. They are really nice and helpful over the phone. I made it to the restaurant and they had it waiting for me. When you walk in they can't see you but they hear the door open and they are quick to say hello and welcome. That makes me feel good. I love spending my money with people that appreciate my business with them. My favorite dish is the salmon roll. It has smoked salmon, avocado, and cream cheese. It's delicious! I love this place. read more

They adhere to social distancing and require reservations (thankfully, we pulled up right as they were opening at 5 p.m. and just called the phone # on the door to "make our reservation" and then walk in to be seated at the sushi bar. This was my daughter's first sushi experience and she'd built it up for so long that I'm truly glad that Wicked Sushi didn't disappoint. The husband and wife owners are SO nice, and there was an elderly gentleman who came out from the kitchen to check on us too and he was just as warm. Wanted to keep our order fairly simple for her newbie tastes, so we went with The Mall of Georgia, OTL, and nabe udon. 3 "entrees" for the 2 of us gals was alot, but because it was so tasty, we didn't have any leftovers. I'm not particularly fond of baked/warm rolls, but the OTL was exceptional. I could bathe in a bowl of nabe udon. She is super excited to return to try out more adventurous sushi options. read more
