To Start - I have been to many high end Sushi places and also had sushi to Japan. If you are trying to compare a local suburb sushi restaurant where rolls are under 7 dollars to a "$$$$" location, this review isn't for you. With that in mind, for the value, this is one of my all time favorite sushi restaurants. First, I ordered the salmon avocado roll, and it exceeded my expectations. The combination of fresh, buttery salmon and creamy avocado was a match made in sushi heaven. Take a look at the photo. There is a HEALTHY fish to rice ratio. Some sushi places skimp on the fish and put way too much rice. The roll was expertly crafted, with the rice perfectly seasoned and the seaweed wrapping holding everything together flawlessly. It was a simple yet satisfying creation that left me wanting more. 5/5 item. The atmosphere of LA Sushi was inviting and comfortable, with a pleasant ambiance that enhanced the dining experience. The restaurant had a modern yet cozy feel, making it suitable for both casual outings and special occasions. How have I not done a review here yet??? For fast quick local sushi. This place is so good!!! The restaurant itself itself is not fancy. It's located in a Kroger shopping strip. It's very plain and simple. But their food is completely opposite the decor. Everything on their menu is great. The fish is fresh and the flavors are on point. I go here specifically for the rolls. All their specialty rolls are so good. I don't know what they do differently from other restaurants but the sauces and the flavoring make their rolls just delicious. All the rules are pretty big so I cannot complain about the portions. Service is good you can order takeout at the register as you come in or you can dine in. Everything is made fresh to order. My kids Love to eat here. And I love it that it's so close to the house that we can grab it anytime. We will usually do the combo roll and choose six or seven rolls for one price. I cannot say enough great things about this gem.. so much so that I dont want others to find out! Lol!!! The fish is very fresh, the rolls are generously rolled, the service attentive and the place is very clean... even the bathrooms. We enjoyed our experience from beginning to end. OMG, was our sushi good: GA Special, 2 hand rolls - spicy salmon, and spicy tuna.. we started with miso soup and a salad. So why only 4 stars, you ask? The appetizer selection is a very limited, so is the beverage selection, and there isn't a dessert choice in sight unfortunately, because I know they would probably kill it!! All in all and very strong 4 stars overall if you want a well priced, great quality, and friendly service sushi meal. This place will not disappoint you. LA sushi is my go to whenever I am craving sushi, and they live up to their name. This is the best sushi I have had in the area and is very similar in quality to sushi I have had in SoCal. My friend and I were looking for a light weekday dinner. He had been to L.A. Sushi several times before and highly endorsed this restaurant as "the best sushi I've had in Georgia". I hardly ever venture to this area so was I missing out on the best sushi of my life? I was excited to try it out! We arrived around 5:45pm; there was one other family seated at a table but otherwise the restaurant was empty. We were greeted loudly and happily upon walking in; the staff seems very friendly and excited for us to be there. The server told us we could pick our seats; we chose a small, two-person booth near the far wall. The dining area itself isn't huge - there are enough tables for a few small families and against the wall, several tables for couples. We took some time to deliberate over our selections. We asked for the server's recommendation but there didn't seem to be any standout stars. We ultimately settled on the two rolls each that called to us and shared: Spicy Tuna Roll Spicy Rainbow Roll - Spicy crab meat, avocado with 5 kinds of fish on top Dynamite Scallop Roll - Cali with baked scallop on top Spicy Tuna Tempura Roll - Deep Fried Spicy Tuna Tempura Roll Our favorites were the spicy tuna roll followed by the spicy rainbow roll. Both of these rolls really showcased the fresh fish and truly allowed us to appreciate the flavors. The fried rolls are probably not the winners here - go for something fresh! I really enjoyed the sushi rice here; perfect texture and great flavor. One thing to note is that the sushi pieces are really, really big - much larger than I expected; four rolls is more than enough for two people. Ironically, my favorite part of the entire meal was the baked scallop on top of Dynamite Scallop Roll. If I could just get a huge plate of the baked scallops, I'd be good. Overall I wouldn't say L.A. Sushi is the best sushi I've had in Georgia, but the fish is fresh, the quality is great, and the taste is pure and fantastic. Definitely check out L.A. Sushi if you're in the area! read more

Rounding up to 4 mainly because I ordered the wrong thing. We stopped by for a late lunch on a Tuesday. It's a quaint little place, nothing fancy. The service was friendly but a bit slow. The sushi took a while to come out, just a heads up if you do come during your lunch hour. We ordered the lunch set A ($15) which came with miso soup, 4 pieces of nigiri and 2 small rolls. The portions were pretty large for the rolls and the fish was very fresh. The rolls were basic but the nigiri was the stand out and would probably only come back for the nigiri or sashimi. We also got the aloha roll (around $14) and the salmon avocado hand roll ($6.75) . The roll was really large and very filling! I'm not a huge fan of spicy tuna so I wouldn't get the roll again but it is a good deal for the amount of food you get. Also the roll had this weird fried garlic or ginger on top that I wasn't a fan of. The hand roll was great and fish was fresh. Stick to the hand roll. The prices are pretty affordable for the quality and amount of fish you get. I would check this place out if you're in the area. read more

Probably the best quality sushi place in the area. We consistently eat sushi here maybe two or three times a week. The quality of the fish is great and the proportions are good. They also cut the fish as you would expect in a sushi restaurant. Not paper thin as you see in many restaurants. There rolls are good, but we really like the sashimi. The staff and owner are very nice. And you get good service. But when it gets busy, you'll see some waiting time. I would recommend the sashimi sampler, the rainbow roll, and the nigiri. read more

The first time I tried to order takeout, the gentleman over the phone warned me it would take over an hour. I knew my family couldn't wait that long so I decided not to continue. The second time, I was sorta prepared. I ordered an hour before I planned on picking up. There were still some delays but they communicated with me throughout the evening. We ordered the following: In & out roll $10.75 Aloha roll $10.75 Day roll $10.25 Miso soup $1.85 The rolls are huge and packed with protein! Each of our sushi orders came with eight big rolls. They really don't skimp on anything here. The rolls looked and tasted fresh. You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. They were all excellent. However, my favorite was the Aloha roll which is spicy tuna with albacore on top. Great miso soup, too. The prices can't be beat. These rolls would go for close to $20 at other spots! Stopped in on a Saturday night, restaurant is small and quaint so most tables were full. Decided to give it a try and sat next to the door. Staff was attentive and quickly took our drink order and sat us down. Then.....we waited 45 mins. For five pieces of sashimi. We had ordered a large spread of sashimi, sushi and rolls each came out s l o w l y, o n e b y o n e but it was all fresh and flavorful. The rolls had a nice combination of ingredients but my tempura shrimp got lost inside the roll. Staff was very apologetic for the wait and I could tell the two waiters were overwhelmed. Got takeaway from here recently and unfortunately the quality of the ingredients is not very high. The spicy tuna was not very fresh and had a bad aftertaste. Worse was the unagi hand roll. The eel was fatty and blubbery and quite unappealing. On the positive side, the staff there are super nice and the order was prepared quickly. I've been meaning to check out la sushi for a while and I wish I did sooner. We swung by for dinner on a Thursday night. The vibe is casual and a lot of people do take out but they have done in space also. We ordered 3 rolls including beauty and the beast, rainbow, and volcano. We were floored by how beautiful and large these rolls were. We felt like it was the perfect amount of rice versus fish as some places make the rolls with too much rice. That wasn't the case here at all. All the flavors were so fresh and delicious. The rainbow roll had this gentle sweet glaze on it that was so refreshing and the beauty and beast roll was really cool with two different sides/fish to the roll. The volcano was very different from traditional saucy volcano rolls I'm used to. This one was deep fried and dry but delicious. Most of the speciality rolls we picked were 15-16 dollars and the fresh rolls like the rainbow were closer to 12. I'd say it's so worth it for the size and quality. We got a lot of fish for the price. Very good value. They only had one server working the floor and register and he was so nice but checked on us at the end of the meal so we didn't get water refills in-between. Food is great but I'm finally done with LA Sushi. We eat here often and always place our orders online or through uber eats. Probably spent 1500 dollars this year eating there. Tonight they cancelled my order on uber eats after I waited an hour. I called to see if what the issue was and they said they were simply too busy. When asked if I could come in and eat they said no problem. When I asked if I could come in and order to go and they said it would take too long. I don't mind if you if only served people who walk through your door but you don't. You are and have been available on UberEats. And you offer takeout. Hello! I can't believe it took me this long to check this place out. I was craving sushi, and decided to pop in. I have to admit I wasn't expecting much. It's in a small plaza, and while the reviews are good, there aren't that many of them. I was so pleasantly surprised. First of all their prices are very reasonable, and secondly the fish was so fresh! I got two hand rolls, one salmon and one salmon and avocado, and both were really good. Mine look kind of deflated because I opted for no rice...trying to be good for this upcoming beach trip, but I did try my friend's roll, and it was super good too. I have got to bring my daughter here, and maybe persuade my boyfriend too. Even the miso soup, which I'm not usually a fan of was good. If you like crunch rolls, this place is for you cause theirs is the best! The only downfall of this place is their service. While they are friendly, it takes so long to get an order ready. I suggest calling 30-45 minutes beforehand if you're doing take out (and yes, even if it's one roll). Also, they advertise $3 sushi but I have noticed that they have increased their prices, they don't give an itemized receipt, and they don't have updated prices on their menu.... they definitely need to work on this.
