Shrimp, steak and chicken fried rice!!

They were awesome and we celebrated my mom's 80th Birthday there!! The rice was very delicious. My mom greatly enjoyed her steak as well. Service was amazing

I visited after hearing about the ownership change and was impressed. There is a dining area and hibachi area with 7 grills. I sat in the regular dining area, but I'm going to try the hibachi area on my next visit. Service was attentive. Fresh sushi! It's hard to find hibachi places with fresh sushi. Hibachi food was seasoned perfectly, portions were generous, and prices were reasonable too. I also met some customers who have been coming here for years so I think that's a good sign for any local spots. Definitely worth checking out!

Such a cozy little spot all tucked away. The gf wanted to treat me to a belated bday treat, and Kirin House had a nice atmosphere. I'm in-between a 4 and 4.5, but I suppose the great sushi prices (and enthusiasm of the hibachi chefs on the other side) pushes the review to a 5. The squid salad was pleasing to the eyes and taste buds. It had a nice arrange of various tidbits of stuff. The squid pieces were small, but it inter-played with the noodles and other ingredients that made it a colorful little appetizer. We shared 4 sushi rolls that had a wowing reaction as they brought it out on a grandeur display board: Crunch dragon: This roll was really crunchy, hence its name. Literally all I see was the tempura flakes on top. The eel sauce provided some flavor to this smaller roll pick. The eel and avocado sort of blended in. There was supposed to be shrimp tempura in this roll, and maybe it was encompassed within (I didn't really examine, I just ate), but I think the shrimp tail ended up in the dynamite roll. *shoulder shrug* Dynamite: The tuna and yellowtail roll was a hearty one, but the flavors were more mild compared to the others. The fishes sat on top with various sauces (spicy mayo, eel, and hot sauce) along with crabstick and avocado. I think the shrimp tail ended up in this roll instead of the crunch dragon mentioned above. Geisha: My favorite! The salmon with cream cheese and avocado created a creaminess in your mouth. There was just something simplistic that made it taste super delicious. The spicy mayo provided a slight kick in flavor too. Kirin all the way: The tempura shrimp, soft shell crab, and avocado made this roll a mouth full. There was a slick kick/spice in flavor I suppose due to the spicy mayo in combination with the eel sauce. I guess "big roll" being specified was pretty accurate. Overall the food was nice, service was good (the sushi chef also shouted greetings our way), and reasonable price. It's a good spot for a nice occasion or a causal dinner since they also have hibachi.

The owner not only is an awesome chef... But helped his customer!!

Wow... The food is fantastic and always has been... we have gone for over 15 years and just love it- A family favorite... well tonight the owner of Kirin showed his true awesome colors... Our car died when we were leaving the parking lot- We asked several people for jumper cables and couldn't find anyone and lo and behold, Kim, the owner of current house comes out with jumper cables and pulls his car up on to ours!! We are forever grateful and will continue to support Kirin House!! Thank you!!

    Roach in soup

We used to love eating at this place but can no longer return. Which is sad because they are one of the better hibachi places that we've been to. I also hate to leave negative reviews, but this needs to be addressed so they can get it together and not have this happen again. Today we sat down - excited to eat here. Got our soup, ate a decent portion of it only to discover a roach floating in it. We canceled our order and got out of there ASAP. We told the waiter and his response was only "OHHH"

Visited the Kirin House for the posthumous birthday celebration of my brother-in-law. My mother-in-law has visited this restaurant twice before and wanted the family to enjoy as well, especially for this type of celebration. The Service: Good - The service overall was good. Our waitress and hibachi chef were both friendly. Bad - Here's where things went bad. So, we started to notice that the plates and silverware was slightly dirty. My in-laws wiped off black residue from their plates which was noticeable on the cloth. This prompted everyone to ask for new plates and plastic utensils as well. When the plastic utensils came out, there were strands of hair around them. This honestly made us want to leave, but at this point, drinks were already there and food was already ordered, so we just asked for more plastic utensils and gave it over to God. The Food: I ordered "NY Strip Steak & Shrimp" from the Hibachi Combination ($25.50) with fried rice ($3.95) as well. The email also came with soup & salad. The combination tasted very good, but I don't feel the portion received was worth $25. Most of the meal was rice. For some reason, I feel like I get more for my money at other hibachi restaurants. Overall, the food was great, but the experience this time around was meh. Definitely could've been better. The hair and dirty dishes kinda kept this from being a better experience. 2.5

Herman was rude, not very friendly and very out of it. They didn't even have my wine. But everything was great

PERFECTION!! the spicy edamame was soooo good and that's coming from someone that doesn't really care for edamame. the spicy garlic sauce made it taste so much better. their pork bulgogi is also soft and the sauce has good flavor as well. i was blown awayyy. totally recommend trying!!

Eating the sashimi was amazing; it was cold and soft. It had a nice pink-red color and was very nice to eat. When I had tried the Nigiri, the salmon and rice was warm, with the salmon being soft, like the sashimi. TL;DR: Service was great, Ambience was great, and the food was served with glory and deliciousness. Overall a 5 star Japanese/Korean restaurant. Would recommend.

The restaurant appeared clean from what I could tell, and our food came out quickly. The first thing that arrived was the two sushi trays we had chosen. They looked amazing when they came out and honestly looked very appetizing, but unfortunately, they didn't taste nearly as good as they looked. Our server also had us choose three additional plates from options like proteins, appetizers, salad, noodles, and more. I chose teriyaki chicken, vegetable noodles, and a house salad with ginger dressing. My kids ordered similar items. Unfortunately, the rest of the food was disappointing as well. The ginger dressing tasted watered down, the chicken was dry and didn't really have any teriyaki flavor, and the vegetable noodles were extremely salty. My kids normally love fried rice, but they wouldn't eat it. Overall, everything seemed to have a very similar flavor, and there was a strange aftertaste that lingered in my mouth. While the restaurant seemed clean and the service was quick, the food just wasn't enjoyable for us. For $17.99 per person, I expected much better. Unfortunately, we won't be going back.

We went for the dinner AYCE at $29.99 per person, and kids under 3 eat free. Our toddler (3) and baby, free of costs. But our toddler did have his own meal (chicken nuggies and fries...what a plus!) Keep in mind that some items are included in the per-person price, while others come with an additional charge. For example, the fried ice cream dessert was $1 per serving on top of the AYCE cost. Not a huge deal, but worth noting. Now, onto the revolving sushi belt experience. The bottom belt is full of pre-made sushi, circulating around, while the top belt carries the sushi you've specifically ordered via iPad. This is where a few concerns come in. Since the pre-made sushi is constantly circulating, you don't always know if someone has fiddled with it. As for the iPad ordering system, it was placed up above the top sushi belt, which was a bit of a nuisance. It would have been easier to use if it was within arm's reach, but again, not a major issue. We opted to order items that would take time to prepare and came directly to our table, so we could avoid the pre-made conveyor. The fried ice cream dessert was great, tasty--but the spoon they gave me was dirty and sticky. It honestly felt like it had been used by a kid before being handed to me. Needless to say, I didn't use it. Service was solid. Our server was helpful, especially since it was our first time, and walked us through the process. Overall, it was a decent experience, but there are a few things that could be improved, particularly with cleanliness and the setup of the revolving belts.

So the place is in Snellville just past the Cookout next to the Texas Roadhouse. And let me be clear, this is a Chinese buffet so expect it to be as kitschy and stereotypical of your previous Chinese buffet experiences. The interior is well lit, booths are a bit crammed and the food stations are not as extensive for options. The service is literally non-existent. They bus your tables and are up to speed with refills which is basic service anyways. Now for the food. It's a buffet so it's not much to write home about. Seeing that it is a Chinese buffet, I decided to stay on the familiars. Pepper steak, lo mein, some crawfish, a baked pasta, and decided to try the pho So the Chinese options weren't that bad. The baked pasta was decent. Lo mein was flavorful. The teriyaki chicken was a bit off and the pho... well... the pho was a let down. The options were minimal. Four stations, with a noodle soup options, hibachi, and sushi tucked in the back. Can't say this buffet experience was all that it was hyped up to be. It was small, very minimal in terms of food options, lacked any sense of flavor for a buffet but the place was clean, well lit, and fast. At $20.99 for dinner plus tax and tip you're not paying much for AYCE but suffice to say, quality is subpar, options are much to be desired, and yet it's probably the best thing for AYCE Snellville has to offer and that's not saying a whole lot for Snellville
