First time trying juicy crab and wanted to see if it was better than boiling crab ( in Los Angeles). I ordered the shrimp , juicy special mild 7/10, the sauce was a little too salty and not enough mild kick to it for my taste buds, the shrimp was also a little to overly cooked. Ordered the Cajun fries 2/10 nothing Cajun about it. I expected more because after all I am in Atlanta but Boiling crab in LA takes the win. Soooo good and flavorful! Went on a Friday evening and surprisingly there was no wait. The only thing you need to make sure of is that your entire party is there before they will seat you. Where are the vegetables?? I have never been to a restaurant that did not serve vegetables. The only vegetables they had were green beans which were battered and fried. I ended up ordering the whiting fish basket, we also ordered the catfish basket, it was cooked to perfection and well seasoned. The whiting fish was not so seasoned, I ended up eating off of my dates plate. The place is dated and in need of a makeover. The service was really great, our waitress was very nice and attentive. We were searching for a seafood restaurant, and found that this one had really great reviews. We were greeted immediately, then taken to a table. The menu explains the New Orleans style seafood they offer, and it looks plentiful. We ordered from their fried option, and I'm so glad we did. Their name, The Juicy Crab is justifiably accurate. The crab boils are the best but just know it's a high sodium sauce. The price isn't that bad and to add to your bag is when it gets pricey.

Decided to try this spot yesterday and the options were great! Our server was Hila she was great and provided great service. Now let's get into the food! The crabs were just okay, not a lot of meat but the BLACK MUSSELS STOLE THE SHOW! Literally so flavorful and delicious, the shrimp were just okay as well, not really much to it and they were pretty small. Drink selection was good. We got here around 1pm and 3 out of 5 of us were here. The person in the front said we had to wait on all of our party to be seat so we sat down and waited. We wait for about 10 minutes and my other 2 friends let me know they were running late but were close so I asked the girl if we can go ahead and sit down and start with appetizers and drinks and she said rudely no we have to wait on everyone. So we asked for a smaller table and just tried to move to a bigger one and another hostess told me to "be honest about how many people are in my party". Like girl what I already told yall how many people we were going to have. Mind you there's only 1 or 2 other couples there eating in the WHOLE restaurant. The place was empty! So empty the employees were ALL sitting in the back tables gossiping and talk, so it's not like we would've taken up a table other customers would have used. It was like we were begging them to serve us. So rather than sit us early and start with drinks and appetizers, they lost out on a $500+ check (apps, multiple rounds of drinks, and entrees) Instead we left and went to Cap't Loui! People considering buying gift cards BEWARE. My wife and I received a gift card a month ago and tried to use it. When we got there we were told they couldn't honor our gift card because it wasn't showing up. I called them back when we got home and they said they could see the balance but they were not able to access it and use it and that there was nothing they could do. I then tried to go to corporate to see if we could get a refund. The only way you can contact them is by email so I sent an email explaining the situation. I received an email saying they would investigate it but I am STILL waiting a month later. read more

Visited The Juicy Crab on 5/28 , I went right before closing around 8ish. It was raining really bad. It was packed but immediately got seated for a table of two. I was on vacation & had to try the seafood. I ordered a juicy combo ( Hungry Feast )Cajun Medium. It was hot I feel like something was missing from the sauce it was a bit on the watery side. My Fiancé had the same but garlic butter hot he mentioned it was not seasoned , watery , and would not recommend. But overall eatable , If I'm in the area. I've been to this particular Juicy Crab a few times. Each time it gets worse. The last time I was there I was livid! I ordered fried catfish and fried shrimp basket. The shrimp was nearly raw and the catfish was almost bite sized. I complained to the manager LIN. Who told me 1. Sorry, that's the catfish we have right now 2. You shouldn't order the fried shrimp. Our batter is terrible. Even the employees don't order fried shrimp here. I pushed back because I literally go to juicy crab on Scenic highway every week for a girls meetup and the experience is NEVER like this. She proceeded to tell me to put the shrimp on a plate and she'll have them drop it back in the fryer. you mean the shrimp that I was just touching to show you that it wasn't cooked???? Yup! First trip visiting here, and typically local seafood joints aren't places i frequent due to limited menu options. My co-workers wanted to meet here to grab a late lunch. This location sits off Pleasant Hill Rd and seems new. One thing you can give them 5 stars on is their COVID-19 set-up. They are strictly enforcing social distancing here by having one entry way and a separate exit way, mobile menus, gloves for each table, construction type paper on each table to be removed after each guest, tables distanced from each other, to-go cups for non-alcohol drinks and masks on servers. Also, the service was excellent, so I need to state that. As far as the food goes, it was pretty much all fried. Honestly, no real healthy options. With that said, I had to stick to Raw Oysters and order sides. My co-workers laughed at me, thinking i was eating like a child. I did the rice and slaw for my sides. The Oysters came with horseradish (fairly strong but odd taste), cocktail sauce, crackers, & lemons. They were ok size. The slaw wasn't that tasty and the rice was bland. Very disappointed in the slaw out of everything, especially for a seafood place. Expected more kick to it or something. Everyone at my table pretty much got crab legs, so maybe that's what i should have ordered. If you're coming here, don't set your expectations for anything healthy. I was craving a seafood boil && my aunt suggested this location. We were seated right away and the service was pretty efficient. I ordered the create my own boil with crab legs and black mussels with the juicy special sauce which is a mash up of all their available flavor. It was very tasty. Absolutely would go back! The only only thing I wish was that they had more corn in the boil. They only put one piece of corn in the bag but you can always add more if you want. read more

Then I decided to try it to see and it tasted sour as well. I told the waitress who got the lady in charge. I told her the wine had turned bad and sour and she said "it's wine..." I was so shocked and replied I drink wine all the time, I know how it is supposed to taste. And she said she had just opened the bottle. So I told her if that's how the wine tasted I don't want it. If I had to choose, Boiling Crab would be one my last meal and feel that I haven't seen anything alike when it comes to the flavor but Juicy Crab comes pretty close. Had bookmarked this place a while ago and when a friend wanted to visit this spot, I was all for it. Went on a week day so I'm not so sure on how the weekend crowd is, but we were promptly seated and had a great server. We ordered the crab legs, crawfish, and shrimp in Juicy Special sauce. Be aware, it might be spicy for some so be mindful of your spicy tolerance when picking the flavor since I did hear a neighboring table mentioning this to the server . To me, this sauce had a subtle spiciness and likeness to shinramen flavor packet flavor, which I'm in favor of. While the seafood is the main, the supporting role is the rice as you can scoop up the sauce and devour it. Needless to say, their rice was pretty good and they give you a very friendly portion. Also, a good remedy if the sauce is too spicy for you. Out of all the seafood that was ordered, my favorite had to be the shrimp as it had the most flavor. I'm assuming the crawfish used was frozen as it was a bit on the dry side and while good, the crab legs were not that meaty. While this place is not meant for you to eat pretty, they do give you some tools like a bib and plastic gloves so don't be shy and dig in. Oh and if you are celebrating your birthday and love the embarrassing bday song sang to you very loudly, this is the perfect space. Maybe consider this if you want to put someone on the spot. While this Juicy Crab location is in the Duluth shopping plaza where Toys R Us used to be, there is an another location in Tucker for you to try, if that's closer. read more

My first time having a seafood boil! It was a fun eating experience and the food was so yummy. I ordered a 1/2 bound of headless shrimp and snow crab with the juicy special and extra mild. I had quite a bit of trouble cracking my crab, so my friends helped me-it was a bit undercooked because it was really stringy. I was still hungry after, so I ordered a side of boiled eggs-highly recommend. I'm giving 4 stars because the service was SOOO slow; we were there for like 2.5 hours. However, on a Thursday night, we didn't have to wait to be seated. It was also our friend's birthday, and it took them forever to bring extra things we asked for, his free cheesecake, and the check. On a chilly day 2 days after Christmas when all the leftovers were gone. We decided on some spicy, buttery seafood! These seafood places have been popping up left and right all over from buford highway to Conyers. Juicy crab is one that i will stick to because i havent found one that is consistent with flavor or freshness. Everyone has their preference and i have tried others, the sauces and seafood just dont get it for me so this is my spot. I usually stick to 1lb shrimp head off 2lbs crab legs juicy special hot. Juicy special has all the flavors combined and its flavorful lots of garlic/spiciness. I decided to try boiled egg/sausage this go round. I will leave out the sausage next time cause i really didnt care for it. The boiled egg was good. The tilapia combo fried in a batter/onion rings is another favorite of mines. My drink of choice is always a peach sparkling wine that they have.
