If y'all want the typical hibachi experience, this is the place!! At least for me, the chef who was making our hibachi asked if I wanted to catch food. Also, when he asked which sauce I wanted, I usually get both the mustard sauce which is a bit more spicy (gingery?) and yum yum sauce to balance out the flavors. I ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi with fried rice. Everything came the way I had requested especially with the steak. We also ordered the rainbow roll which came out quicker than expected!! The only thing preventing me from giving them a 5 stars is that I ordered soda water, and it had taken them around 5-8 minutes to get me a small, plastic bottle of soda water, while everyone else at my table received theirs in a couple minutes. We joined 5 other adults at a hibachi table and settled down for our food meal. I even ordered my Virgin Pina Colada. The chef came out, ping ping pong pong out with his fork and spatula on the cooking surfaces for a while, which was quite loud and annoying; and started cooking some mediocre hibachi dinners for all of us! I ordered Scallop and Shrimp and my husband the Fillet Minon .... Both are mediocre, shrimps and scallops, meat were tasteless, everything need to be dipped in their yum yum sauce, which is a mayo based sweet and sour dip....... The Chef did play with fire, and lit the Onion Ring Tower, which is not exactly a volcano..... Disappointed! The worst was my Virgin Pina Colada was actually no virgin at all, it had alcohol in it. My aftermath of feeling hot and dizzy when I got home was similar to those times of my younger days when I could drink; but now my Fatty Liver does not agree with me. . We came here with 19 family members and as soon as they sat us they rushed us to order. It was my first time and the server was not friendly. We had two servers and when we placed an order with the other server, she said "no, I don't serve you, I serve this side only" ...um okay? It's the same table but whatever. Omg that rice was so dry. Every bite of rice had a crunch and it was not pleasant. It lacked flavor for fried rice. The filet mignon was good, it was perfectly medium rare like how we ordered. Shrimp was fine too. I normally don't like it over cooked but it was semi over cooked. It's okay though. The hostess took us to a table that did not have a room for us as we were 6 so I asked to be seated at another table so she ask the other people to move down more. Then she said to me see plenty of room is that OK? No absolutely not ok but whatever. This place was nasty dirty it is only because my kids begged me to stay that we did. We had been looking around for over an hour. The soup tasted funny, the ginger dressing on the salad was bland ... none of us had more that a taste or 2. So moving on after waiting 30 minutes the cook decided to show up. He was nice enough entertained the kids and the food tasted pretty good. Thank goodness its cooked in front of you though. I ordered sushi and the roll had the softest most plump sticky rice I've EVER HAD.. seriously. The ingredients were fresh and beautiful and most importantly, they use REAL CRABMEAT, not that imitation crap and boy does it make a difference. The sushi made me want to turn around and go back so I could get more for tmw lol. I also ordered veggie fried rice and it, too, failed to disappoint (meaning it was amazing). Bacon should be optional and was never told to us upon ordering. 3 of the orders of rice were tossed as they do not eat pork. Good on them though because the rice was clearly just reheated and tasted like it had been refrigerated for at least 2 days. Yuck. The shrimp, entirely REPULSIVE. It was overcooked mush. The vegetables were old and reheated as well. This entire experience was a negative million. I have been here several times over the past years. Not sure why their are so many reviews. I have eaten sushi & hibachi here. The sushi is always fresh and the rolls are a good size. They are bigger than the ones at Taki. My favorite rolls include: - Brazilian Lobster Roll: Huge Roll with deep fried lobster, avocado, cucumber inside. crab Meat, real crab Meat, masago, and crunch on the top. - Super Cliente Roll: This roll has jalapeño on top. - Halloween Roll: This roll has sriracha on top. As you can tell, I like my rolls spicy. I have also had the godzilla roll, princess roll, and the sweet dream roll. These are also good, but I prefer the ones I have listed above. For hibachi: If you are looking for cheap meal, I would go for lunch. The lunch prices are so reasonable and the portions are great! I would suggest the scallop lunch special. These scallops are huge! Also, get the fried rice. It is amazing! They put bacon in it! & I think they are the only hibachi restaurant to do so! I also prefer their mustard sauce instead of the seafood (yum yum) sauce. For drinks: They have a full bar, so be ready to drink to your heart's content. My favorite drink is the Marijuana. From the dancing rhonda (the sushi dances!) to the princess roll to the classics, you can't go wrong. And if you are feeling adventurous, ask Tai to whip you up something based on what's best that day - you will NOT be disappointed. And you must (MUST) get an order of fried rice. The bacon-y awesomeness is reason enough for me to make the hour-long drive. Add some yellow sauce and you won't regret it. My favorites were the Godzilla and Rock and Roll (the kinda tasted similar - but good). They were out of fatty tuna, which I know sounds gross, but I had a friend recommend it and I tried it and now I am all over it! Anyway, Ninja is like a more cozy version of a shogun. Ninja has been a rather long standing location in Dacula in addition to its other location The Iron Wok. Jackie Chan is the owner and Tai is the very long term professional Sushi chef. The ownership from memory is Malaysian. Each time I visit you will find me at the Sushi bar. After a few rolls I will "roll" out. I prefer the Volcano myself and anything else that will completely open or burn out your sinus cavity!
