    Hokkaido Spicy Ramen

My new favorite ramen place! Ramen was amazing! (Perfect noodles - not too oily, meat was not too fatty). Server was so attentive! Cool Japanese vibe too. I'm still wondering how an authentic ramen place in a strip mall in Dacula, Georgia just upstaged so many ramen shops I've visited in Tokyo! Like what just happened?!!!

Used to go to the Greek place that was here. We stopped in for lunch and what a transformation. It is beautiful inside. Nice Japanese modern vibe. All new booth, table and chairs. Beautiful tile on the floor and walls. Sleek woodwork. Ordered the spicy beef Raman and the tan tan. Both were excellent. I had the spicy beef. The broth was clean and flavorful, not muddy. The beef was thinly sliced and then there was a beef shank in the bowl. Noodles were homemade and the veggies were fresh and add just the right freshness. Could have been a bit more spicy but overall excellent. My hubby had the tan tan. Also excellent with a smear of go chi Chang on the bowl. We would normally go to pao pao in buford or umaido in suwanee. Now we will come here closer to home. We will be back to try their sushi. Sushi menu looks amazing.

It wasn't that good. Service was not great and milk tea was awful. The waitress correct us and educated us that avocado is a fruit and nut a vegetable. I don't know what it mattered because we said no avocado and no vegetables. We should listen as much as we talk.

This place is so adorable, love the inside dining area, the aesthetic, all beautiful. The service we received was amazing, our waitress was the cutest and the sweetest young lady, she provided me with as many vegetarian options as possible. She was also very patient and kind, even though we went in one hour prior to closing. The food was really good. I ordered the noodles with vegetables, they were very flavorful and very filling. I also ordered spring rolls, the spring rolls were spring rolls-lol We also ordered veggie fried rice and my date ordered the bang bang shrimp very yummy. It seems like this place is fairly new, I think it will be a hit in this area.!

Really cute spot, full bar and music, variety of ramen, sushi, and Boba offerings. Plenty of parking and seating inside. The staff were really nice and attentive. The food was good, average for a ramen shop.

This place is 10 stars. Seriously one of the BEST spots I've been to in a long time. Everything was incredible. Let me explain. Ambiance: this is a new spot, there was a Greek spot here previous, but it's renovated, cleaned thoroughly, the dishes, plates intentionally branded and a clean design throughout the location. They absolutely invested money on this place and it was well thought out. Food: beautiful colors as well as flavors. We enjoyed every dish and our server Hao explained that every dish is made from scratch. Service: Hao sold it all to us. He was truthful, kind, respectful and one of the BEST SERVER EVER. Hao made sure we were taken care of, never intruded but if you desired to have a good conversation he was welcoming to that too. We would follow that guy anywhere! Hokkaido please take very good care of him, he is an asset to your location! (Disclaimer: this is the first time we met him)

The food selection was vast. Lot of menu options. Haven't seen a 'surf n turf' roll in a while. Staff was super nice, professional & patient. It was pretty quiet this Saturday evening. This dining experience did not disappoint.

Love this new ramen place right by my house! Service is friendly and food is delicious! The sushi is delicate and melts in your mouth. My favorite dish is the aged tofu which has a super light fry and I order it every time and eat the whole thing myself!! Noodle dishes and ramen are really well done too. Great local addition to the area!

Big Portions and a pretty big menu. They also serve beer, and cocktails. We had several vegetarian bowls and a spicy bowl, which was not too spicy. Service was pleasant and it's nice to be able to have a drink with your meal

Went through the first time I had a great experience. Server was very nice and helpful. Ramen with some of the best I ever had, I added an extra pork to make even better. Inside was nice, they just needed to play some music or something to kind of fill the room a bit more. Was a bit too quiet. Will have to come back when I'm in town.

Spicy beef ramen was a winner!!

Excellent service. The ramen noodles was so delicious! The decoration was Asian modern without overwhelming your senses.

    Bang bang shrimp

This was my first time dining here and I loved it! The food was amazing, the service was great, and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. I ordered the dragon roll, bang bang shrimp, and the spicy beef ramen.everything was delicious and full of flavor. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place.

So, I can only vouch for my experience eating Japanese food to state that the tsukemen at Okiboru is just like what I have eaten in Japan, specifically the Kansai region. Being that I prefer tsukemen over ramen, dipping sauce over soup, over the years, I have definitely eaten my fair share of this type of noodle. The broth is a thick gravy that is meaty and dashi-rich at the same time. Not too salty, although slightly bitter at times. What really stands out at Okiboru is their thick and toothsome tsukemen noodles. The texture of these noodles alone keeps me returning. QR code menu and friendly service. Bar style atmosphere at this location. So nice to have an authentic tsukemen shop at the mall. I like to stop by before seeing a movie.

First, let me say that I love this restaurant. I live in South Metro Atlanta, so for me to come all the way up to Buford, Georgia to eat at this place, I really like it. My previous experience has been nothing short of excellent. Even on this visit, the food was excellent and I had no complaints with its quality or in the environment in the establishment. However, when I walked in, I was greeted my an extremely rude young man at the front counter. He was so rude that, I decided to leave and went back to my car. As I sat there, I had to remind myself that I had driven over an hour and it would have been foolish to leave at this point. So, I went back inside and ordered. Again, extremely rude to myself and my guest. It was so bad that my guest also noticed. Even in telling us where to sit, he acted as if I was bothering him by coming inside and ordering food. When our food arrived to the table, he just slammed it down and walked off like he was annoyed. What was even more telling about how, insanely, disturbing his behavior, was that when he and his 'shift' left and was replaced my some young ladies, the experience, completely changed! I mean, immediately changed. The young ladies were helpful, pleasant, and friendly. The mood changed so drastically like night and day. Again, this food is good! The environment is neat! But, if this young man is continued to be allowed to interact with customers, there will be some continued problems.

During my short time in the Buford area, I've come to this place twice in the last two days. The food brought me back as well as proximity to our hotel, however if I were local, the service would drive me away. The type of staff that seems more, interested in hanging out and talking with each other than actually serving the customers. First day I was here. I got the bulgogi Omurice dish and it was tasty. I expected the omelette actually cover the entire portion of rice (top and bottom like an omelette which it didn't. Nevertheless, served piping hot in the stone dish and the flavors were good and not overpowering, and the portion was large. A decent value. The second day, after learning a lesson from the previous one, my wife and I split the Bulgogi fried rice dish (which she had gotten the day before.) Again, the flavors did not disappoint. The rub came when my cousin and I, who have two Independent families and who paid separately, were bulked together as one large group so that a mandatory service fee could be tacked on. When I asked, they said the computer made them charge the service fee. This is in addition to having the system prompt for a tip in addition. The ironic part is that we weren't even standing next to each other in line. Then if you are going to charge a service fee, we would expect to have some solid service that is pretty prompt. Small things such as being able to get water when and as soon as you sit down (perhaps they were busy?), as well as having the sufficient amount of silverware (perhaps they just miscounted?) and actually people smile when they're helping you (perhaps it was the end of the day and they were tired?). Lots of hypotheticals. Just a higher expectation of service, especially when being subject to this service fee. Nevertheless, the family enjoyed the food. We are in and out and about 45 minutes and I'm leaving town today so it doesn't really matter but if you're looking for great service, this isn't the place for you but if you just need a quick bite to pick up and take back to your home or hotel,, go for it.
