Poke bowl was so fresh and flavorful. Wow!
Nancy C.

Everyone was so kind and friendly at the restaurant. Ordering on the iPad was very easy. I love being able to make it the way I like it. They had really great options. The beef gyoza were a rare find. It's always veggie or pork. Loved the beef and crispness of the wonton! The poke bowl was one of the best that I've ever had including in Hawaii. All the ingredients were so fresh. The portion was generous. Everything was flavorful and worked well together. I loved it. I only wish I lived closer. When I come back to see my client, I'm definitely coming back. What a local gem!

Good find Poké and ramen. Excellent poke and ramen. Cute fast casual Place. No alcohol and good Japanese's soda. The ramen was flavorful and full of stuff. The poke bowl was delicious. Hubby had the featured poke bowl and it was great. Will be back. Great for lunch.

Best poke ever!! Fantastic service and bowls!

My friend and I were craving Ramen and out of 7 places I checked on Yelp, this was the only business with high reviews AND, most importantly, a high health score! I am so glad Yelp started including health scores to make it very convenient when picking a clean restaurant. We loved the vibe and food!

You know when you've been going to a place for a long time and it feels like home? Consistent, yummy home cooked and a staple. This is it for me. It's been super consistent for a long time and whenever I want my poké fix I come here. All ingredients are fresh and super generous with portions. I asked for extra toppings and as you can tell in this picture they did not disappoint. Service is always quick and generous. The staple sauce is the house blend, three of their most in demand sauces. The restaurant itself is cute, simple and quiet for the most part. This is always a go to!

When you're looking for poke bowls this is the best spot in the area. The inside is always super clean and very nicely decorated. We are a 100% plant-based family so we are so grateful to have an option this far outside of the city of Atlanta. The spot caters to carnivores as well. The set up is open and you pick the items you want to go inside of your meal or select from the preset options. This place is a must visit for vegan & clean eating food lovers as well.

They put a sign say leave Google review for a free drink ,but I don't want to do that to get a free drink ,so I passed it .Honestly their food is good ,my son ordered build his own bowl and he loves it .Me and my wife just ordered house bowl ,not bad ,I believe we will back again .

Today I had spicy tuna, squid & crab with brown rice and spring mix!

Today marketed my 5th bowl of Ramen here in 12 days (since first discovering they now serve it). It has truly gotten better and better with each visit and now borders on my favorite ramen. I generally only come here for pokè, but it seems I've become quite satisfied with the ramen and now I will forever have a hard time deciding between the two! I still wish they would bring the cheesecake egg rolls and squid salad back, but after talking with the owner I now understand why it is currently not possible! But I'm still hoping in the impossible :-) Be sure to sign-up on their webpage for the rewards program for frequent diners. 2022 / 77 #Shortn'SweetSeries

This has become our stop when we are on this side of town. Small and quaint but packed with flavor. We ordered spring rolls that were fresh and delish, tonkatsu and spicy micro ramen. They come with all the toppings and I love that you don't have to pay extra for them like some ramen places. The cashier was very helpful and friendly. We will be back.

This place gets nothing below a five star rating. Fresh food always and the portions are great. It's on the pricier side, however worth every penny. The staff is very welcoming and quick. This is the best poke spot you'll find in GA.

They recently revamped their menu to be poke and ramen specifically. I missed the beef protein option but thoroughly enjoyed the skinny poke bowl I ordered. Everything was very fresh and the flavors were delicious!

Compostable take out bowl. Secure packaging and easy for transport- and to save the earth!

Ordering takeout sushi or poke bowls can be hit or miss, but with Teppan, it is a true home run. Food- I ordered the three protein poke bowl with tuna, salmon, and shrimp. The additional toppings ranged from tamago, masago, edamame, seaweed salad, roasted seaweed, fried onion, sesame seeds and a broad assortment of sauces to mix and match. For a $12 poke bowl I felt the value and taste was outstanding! Presentation was perfect. Compostable bowl filled with my poke options- fresh fish and assembled nicely. I would say I felt more like I was dining in instead of typical styrofoam takeout containers. This elevated the experience and made for a perfect lunch. I will definitely seek out Teppan in the future for take-out and when COVID restrictions merit release, will make sure to visit their location as well. They have a new Yelper fan for sure.

So, I can only vouch for my experience eating Japanese food to state that the tsukemen at Okiboru is just like what I have eaten in Japan, specifically the Kansai region. Being that I prefer tsukemen over ramen, dipping sauce over soup, over the years, I have definitely eaten my fair share of this type of noodle. The broth is a thick gravy that is meaty and dashi-rich at the same time. Not too salty, although slightly bitter at times. What really stands out at Okiboru is their thick and toothsome tsukemen noodles. The texture of these noodles alone keeps me returning. QR code menu and friendly service. Bar style atmosphere at this location. So nice to have an authentic tsukemen shop at the mall. I like to stop by before seeing a movie.

We ordered 2 flights and since y'all were out of one of the beers my sister ordered the bartender came with one extra just in case she didn't like the replacement (which by the way was a great call because she definitely Preferred the extra over the replacement) We ordered the Crispy Chicken which tbh wasn't the best small plate to order since I ordered the Pork Chashu Bowl it just didn't mix (pork & chicken in one sitting never again. ) but the shocker was I am not a fan of jelly egg yokes but this seasoned egg I actually enjoyed it which was the first and only time I've ever eaten and enjoyed eggs cooked that way my compliments to the chef and recipe creator. We finally checked out Arita Ramen & Sushi and here's everything we tried Salmon Flight (recommend ) 6 pieces of salmon nigiri with evenly thick cuts and beautiful marbling. The texture was incredibly fresh, buttery, and had that rich, creamy finish. Sushi Guoba (recommend) Not on the menu, special. I expected something crispy, but it's actually more like a soft rice cake texture (not chewy). Topped with avocado + spicy tuna, super unique. Beef Shank Ramen Comes with 4 thick cuts of tender marinated beef shank in a rich bone broth. Flavorful and comforting, but I did notice a slightly sweet aftertaste, found it to be weird. BOGO Sushi Deal Rocky Shrimp was our favorite. The eel roll wasn't really for us. Chicken Hibachi Solid and the yum yum sauce was extra thick (which we loved). First, let me say that I love this restaurant. I live in South Metro Atlanta, so for me to come all the way up to Buford, Georgia to eat at this place, I really like it. My previous experience has been nothing short of excellent. Even on this visit, the food was excellent and I had no complaints with its quality or in the environment in the establishment. However, when I walked in, I was greeted my an extremely rude young man at the front counter. He was so rude that, I decided to leave and went back to my car. As I sat there, I had to remind myself that I had driven over an hour and it would have been foolish to leave at this point. So, I went back inside and ordered. Again, extremely rude to myself and my guest. It was so bad that my guest also noticed. Even in telling us where to sit, he acted as if I was bothering him by coming inside and ordering food. When our food arrived to the table, he just slammed it down and walked off like he was annoyed. What was even more telling about how, insanely, disturbing his behavior, was that when he and his 'shift' left and was replaced my some young ladies, the experience, completely changed! I mean, immediately changed. The young ladies were helpful, pleasant, and friendly. The mood changed so drastically like night and day. Again, this food is good! The environment is neat! But, if this young man is continued to be allowed to interact with customers, there will be some continued problems.

TLDR: Food 3.5/5, Atmosphere 3/5, Service 1/5. Would pick up food to go but would not choose…read moreto dine in again. During my short time in the Buford area, I've come to this place twice in the last two days. The food brought me back as well as proximity to our hotel, however if I were local, the service would drive me away. The type of staff that seems more, interested in hanging out and talking with each other than actually serving the customers. First day I was here. I got the bulgogi Omurice dish and it was tasty. I expected the omelette actually cover the entire portion of rice (top and bottom like an omelette which it didn't. Nevertheless, served piping hot in the stone dish and the flavors were good and not overpowering, and the portion was large. A decent value. The second day, after learning a lesson from the previous one, my wife and I split the Bulgogi fried rice dish (which she had gotten the day before.) Again, the flavors did not disappoint. The rub came when my cousin and I, who have two Independent families and who paid separately, were bulked together as one large group so that a mandatory service fee could be tacked on. When I asked, they said the computer made them charge the service fee. This is in addition to having the system prompt for a tip in addition. The ironic part is that we weren't even standing next to each other in line. Then if you are going to charge a service fee, we would expect to have some solid service that is pretty prompt. Small things such as being able to get water when and as soon as you sit down (perhaps they were busy?), as well as having the sufficient amount of silverware (perhaps they just miscounted?) and actually people smile when they're helping you (perhaps it was the end of the day and they were tired?). Lots of hypotheticals. Just a higher expectation of service, especially when being subject to this service fee. Nevertheless, the family enjoyed the food. We are in and out and about 45 minutes and I'm leaving town today so it doesn't really matter but if you're looking for great service, this isn't the place for you but if you just need a quick bite to pick up and take back to your home or hotel,, go for it.
