Parking right in the front with no wait! This place is bigger than it appears from the outside. Very clean and bright. Our server was Mindy and she was excellent! Very knowledgeable about the menu plus she had worked at our regular place a few years back so she could lead us to our favorites and boy did she! We got the original Tonkatsu pork with an extra egg (which were absolutely perfect) plus Mindy brought us their spicy sauce to liven it up to each of our tastes. My friend did one container and I ended up using 2 which made the broth so rich and just the right level of heat for me. This place was a great new ramen restaurant for us! Of course we will be back! read more

Had lunch at the bar. Ordered the tonkatsu ramen and the birria ramen to go. I've eaten at many Jinya's and find them to be consistently a good choice. The real star today was Adam the bartender. It's been a while since I've had service like he provided. Attentive, friendly, helpful and offered solid recommendations. It seems like most bartenders are on their phone, speaking to everyone but their customers. I'd return just to have him serve me again! read more

I really want to give a shout out to the wonderful staff here at Jinya. These wonderful staff have made my best friend's birthday wonderful. I wanted to bring my best friend to a special place for her birthday And I personally want to say she was not disappointed whatsoever. The moment we came through those doors they made sure we were taken care of. My best friend had ordered the shrimp ramen and I had the chicken ramen. And it was the best we've tasted in so long. It wasn't even loud it was actually quiet Without a lot of people being there. And as a birthday gift they provided my best friend A birthday flan with a mochi with Happy birthday written in Chocolate. My friend said that this was the best restaurant she has been to and all of Duluth. I truly want to give a shout out to the staff.Again, thank you for making my best friend's birthday so wonderful. We'll be back next year for sure. read more

I enjoyed the ramen. I got the Red Ramen, and mistakenly got level 1 spicy meaning it was not red. I then asked for the red sauce for level 5 and it was super spicy. I got 3 red balls and put 2 of them in, and it was plenty hot. All in all, the taste is there, but the serving size isn't huge and it's also around $17-$18, which I understand but these days I feel it's too much to charge for any noodles. Unless I'm getting something way extra. read more

I met my hunny here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. There was lots of seeing available and all the staff were super welcoming as I walked in the door. Even the kitchen staff looking up to say welcome. Our waitress was always a flag away, constantly looking our way to see if we needed anything. The vibe inside is cool too. Lit up but not to the point that it was too bright, nor too dark. Lots of natural light. We ordered the crispy chicken and pork gyoza appetizers. Chefs freaking kiss for both!!! I ordered the build your own ramen bowl while my boyfriend ordered the spicy chicken bowl. Now if I'm being honest....the ramen was just ok. The brother needed A LOT more seasoning. It was really bland. I added soy sauce which helped some. I wouldn't order the ramen again but I'd sit at the bar and drink and eat some appetizers definitely. Overall, I would suggest this spot and I'd go again to try something different. Maybe the rice bowl. read more

This place was yummy! I love ramen this would be my top 3 on the list of places for ramen. Egg, pork, seaweed, spinach and noodles complemented each other and went well all together! I was super hungry and finished the whole bowl which is rare for me to do. Service was great! The young lady was attentive and friendly! We got there early in the morning so it quiet and calming. They do have a patio but I like my A/C so my butt stayed inside LOL! I will say if you get a soda they charge you for refills which is weird to me. Other than that food, service, and ambiance was great! read more

The food's decent here where they actually give you a full egg. Trust me, while visiting a spot in Washington D.C., that place lacked the ingredient frills and egg and cost even more than JINYA. This place is def popping as the hubs and I wandered here after an event last Friday night. Though the wait time around 9 PM ish was 10 to 20 mins, it was only a couple of minutes before our names were actually called. There seemed to have been a whole bunch of youngsters (oh how I'm aging myself) with various backgrounds and ethnicities. The hubs and I shared the spicy tuna and salmon cones which looked super intriguing. I ordered the JINYA tonkotsu black while he ordered the suan la tsukemen. The cones were interesting as it was stuffed with tuna. The few salmon pieces were laid on top. These miniature cones were unique looking. And I suppose you're paying more for the visual presentation than the portion. These were good, but it's like 3 bites and done and gone. My JINYA tonkotsu pick was classical and delicious. The pork bone broth was rather delightful and tasty on a cold evening. It was flavorful but not super salty. There was a good body to the broth. The pork chashu was good and infused with lovely garlic notes. This pick came with thin noodles; there's one with thicker noodles but also a bit more calories. The hub's suan la tsukemen was under the chef's special which was super interesting as a dipping noodle. The curry-looking sauce was flavorful and had a slight kick. This was actually a hot and sour pork broth that tasted as flavorful as it looked. He seemed to have enjoyed his pick. read more

We usually enjoy the food at JINYA. This was our first time at this location. The Boa pork bun was drenched in mayo and lacked flavor. We were hesitant to eat it. The pork tasted old. Only 1 person out of our party of 4 ate their dish because he was hungry. Everyone else boxed their food, then trashed it once we made it home. I ordered the JINYA Tonkotsu Black ramen. It tasted like water and the noodles were undercooked. We were at Real Taco an hour after leaving this location. $90 down the drain. read more

Our 1st time trying this location & we were very happy with the food & the service. We ordered 2 appetizers, the salmon tuna cones & the Brussel tempura. The cone was so yummy, such a cute idea! They topped it with salmon, tuna & veggies on a crispy cone shaped crunchy cracker thing. The Brussel sprouts tempura is a great idea, brussel sprouts in yummy tempura batter. They needed a touch of soy & sriracha. We each ordered ramen as our main. We both add on an extra ladle of broth so it is plenty. read more

The food had good flavor. The ramen was excellent. The pork gyozas came without any sort of dipping sauce, and so did the shrimp tempura. I'm sure that we be corrected if we were dining in. The staff was friendly and we love the environment of the restaurant. Would definitely go again. read more

First time here, our server Mindy took exceptional care to explain the menu and assist us in ordering. Had the original tokatsu, spicy level two with an extra egg. Stopped in on a weekday to grab something different for lunch and tried this delicious spicy chicken ramen. Not pictured: spicy bean sprouts and bok choy. My waitress later brought some ramen seasoning and more spicy sauce which I added to give the ramen some extra kick. She was amazing! Didn't check on us too much but just enough to let us know she was there. There weren't many people in the back area where we sat so it was a quiet lunch. There were even a few people working on their laptops near where we were seated. I'll definitely be back since this is fairly new location that's connected to a few other great eateries. read more

The thing I love about JINYA is you know you are always going to consistently have delicious food. I've been to multiple locations throughout the metro Atlanta area and have yet to be disappointed. This particular location is the one I tend to go to the most since it's the closest. Servers are great. Atmosphere is very lively and fun. Definitely fun to sit closer to where the chefs are making the bowls so you can watch them. Ramen here has always been spot on. Fresh ingredients, and the noodles are nice and bouncy. I also love all the appetizers they have. The baos are some of my favorite. I also love their corn and jalapeño. They have a great kids meals if you have a little ones. They also do a great cocktails and have a festive, seasonal non-alcoholic options. Great Ramen shop that I go back to time and time again! read more

A bowl full of deliciousness. That's how I describe our dinner. Lots of vegan/vegetarian offerings. You have the opportunity to add any toppings to your ramen or add more as part of the menu. Also, can adjust the heat level of the dish. We were seated at the "ramen bar" and although a little loud it was a fine place to sit. Chewy tasty ramen noodles in all the dishes with delicious broths. $$ read more

The food here was just awesome when we went. It was a rainy day so ramen was perfect given the weather conditions. I got the jinya tonkatsu black. I think that the flavors were well balanced with a pleasant soup base. The egg was probably the best thing though because it had the runny yolk that elevated the soup broth. I also got the impossible tacos which were good. I'm not a big fan on the "impossible" items generally, but it was recommended and it wasn't bad. The impossible component was definitely seasoned well but I thought it was a little too salty, but when you had the guac or avocado with it they blended well and created a balanced bite. The spicy creamy shrimp was really good. I loved that it retained the crunchy texture after being tossed in sauce. It gave a sriracha spicy mayo flavor, but it was graciously covered in sauce and I wasn't complaining. When I went, I was seated at the bar and shout out to the bartender/waitress. She was super tentative and gave great recommendations. I wanted something light and refreshing and got the watermelon delight. Got a couple drinks and it was a great evening. The restaurant gives off a nice ambiance with dimmed lights. I think the rain took away some of the natural lighting, but it was the evening so the lighting was fitting. I felt like the restaurant layout seems long in the sense that upon enter you have a couple tables and mainly just bar seating, but upon walking to the back it opens up to another room/dining area. Would definitely come back though. The service was amazing, the food hit the spot, and it was a nice little date night restaurant. read more

Ordered a to go from Jinya while traveling through Duluth for work. It was nearby the aloft Hotel and convenient. Easy to place the order online and they must've been FAST because I was right on time for my order, but by the time I made the 5 minute drive to the hotel it was already cold. No microwave in the room so some cold noodles were mine. Flavors were good, seasoned egg was cooked really nice, but soup was a little greasy. Overall just ok to go experience. Cozy ambiance. Ramen with a rich broth. Attentive service. Appetizers: I would recommend definitely getting the Jinya buns. That's my favorite because the pork so tender and delicious! The gyoza and crispy chicken are also great options. They even got this new appetizer called Nikuman- their steamed meat buns that have a good ratio of meat to bun. The filling is very flavorful! Ramen: You can't go wrong with any of their choices. They've even got vegan options which are yummy as well. Dessert: Their Panna Cotta is scrumptious! Thank me later! read more

I went to this restaurant for lunch. The interior has a modern Japanese vibe. There are ample seating areas with a bar, high tops and booths. They definitely changed management here. The food quality was terrible. We ordered the crispy rice with spicy tuna - the rice was sticky and drenched in oil. Paid an extra dollar for their "spicy sauce" which was just gochujang. My bf ordered their hot green tea that didn't even come in a mug - the cup was so hot he couldn't even hold it for the first 10 minutes. I had their wonton chicken ramen and their broth was just oil and msg with overcooked noodles. It's unfortunate because I actually liked this place before - they had a great kids menu but it seems they don't have that anymore either. read more

Service was good and ramen was tasty but broth was much more fatty than normal when we visited last weekend. There was a thick layer of oil on top of the broth. Yikes! They continue to increase their prices...now it is $16+ for a bowl of noodle. We understand the price increase but dislike that they shrink the portion as well...there was only two small, thin, bite-size pork/chashu that came with the ramen (vs. the nice, big, thick pieces before). That's a double whammy!!! There are many new ramen restaurants in town...will look for other alternativeS. Not sure if we'll return. read more

Jillian was our server. She was very efficient and our food was served quickly. My throat had a bit of a tickle so I tried some broth... best decision ever. I have been to Jinya on 3 separate occasions, the most recent was in Duluth and prior was Buford dine in and once to go. I tried the yuzu ramen from Buford to-go but I wasn't into the flavor. I ALWAYS get the Tonkotsu Original 2010 and I haven't been disappointed. The pictured is with chicken instead of pork, a side of sprouts and bok choy. The gyoza is tasty though I didn't get it this time. The lychee martini was ok, I asked for extra shot to put in and it was the same price as the drink itself which I was a bit ehh about. All in just over $46 I'd say go for the ramen and drink else where. read more

Jinya is consistently good food. You really can't go wrong with anything here. My personal favorites are the Jinya bun, takoyaki, and the Jinya Tonkatsu Black with thick noodles instead of thin. Their pork is tender and juicy, broth is creamy and full of depth, and their noodles are cooked perfectly. The takoyaki is crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. The only thing is that they never bring appetizers/small plates out before the main course. Every time I come here and get small plates, the ramen will come out first. Staff here are all very nice! It's clean inside and not too loud. I love sitting at the ramen bar. If you want consistently good ramen, this is a great choice. read more

Corn tempura was an utter disappointment it's kernal chunks cut from the cob so you get very small varying sized pieces and a stalk of brocolini. Really hard to justify $6.80 for that where the 5 pc wings were the same price. Yikes Jinya. Rework that dish. Kaedama came out with the rest of the ramen when I asked to have it come after. So it was a hard stuck lump. Tonkotsu black broth could use more flavor honestly. Definitely need some work too. Our waters weren't refilled either. read more

Jinya is probably my favorite place for ramen, and when I heard they opened up a new location closer to me--yes pleaseee! There is plenty of parking, outdoor seating and lots of group tabletop style seating indoors. Warning: it could be awkward sharing a table with other couples. The menu is all on a QR code, which you scan from your phone camera. WiFi password was Ramen123. Don't ask me how I know. I always go for the salmon poke tacos to start off with; they're small, but so good. I need to figure out the recipe. They have happy hour specials on these, so go during those times to save a few bucks or cents on a few menu items. I got the Jinya Tonkatsu Black and it was good. My fiancé got the Premium Red and asked for spice level 7. (It's a $1 charge if you go over level 6) and he did say it was pretty spicy after taking the first few bites. I don't know how he handles spicy food. Even our server, Noah, warned him about it. I think the only thing I disliked about my experience was how loud the music was over the speakers. I could barely hear my fiancé talk and he's sitting directly in front of me. We sat in the corner and the speakers were directly above us. read more

Amazing to eat at in restaurant BUT do not order ahead on Uber eats... they will make your order waaaay to early and food will arrive cold, dried out and really ruin your taste for this place. I ordered the day before so I could have a worry free day and have hot food at 5pm. Wrong. I get notice at 4:19 pm they started my order. A driver never came for pick up until 4:53pm and delivered quickly by 5:17pm (its a 15 min drive to my house). Which means it sat for over 30 min. Not good. So lesson... eat in restaurant skip the order out. read more

Went to this Jinya's location to try it out with a friend. This location was definitely a new one for me though so knowing Jinya and having it at their other locations, I knew what I was in for. For the appetizer I got an order of takoyaki. It was good, my memories of it was always a solid choice. If you've never had takoyaki it's grilled octopus wrapped in a deep fried batter. For the main, I got the red premium ramen. I thought it was funny because our waiter asked what spice level and they said the spice level went to 1-10 but after 3 it's pretty much extremely spicy. I thought that was absolutely hilarious. Through the advice of the waiter, I decided to just get a spice level of 2. It was pretty good, I have to say though the food came out quickly and it was tasty. I would have to say the spice level was not too spicy so that was a plus. I think this sort of spice is not what you're thinking. There's not really any taste to the spiciness, it's just spicy. I hate that type of spiciness, so I would really take that into consideration if you want to get a spicy dish and they ask you what spice level. Overall, Jinya is Jinya. I've had better ramen, but still a very solid spot to get your ramen craving satisfied. The service was great though and our waiter was awesome. Super down to earth and also when we needed an umbrella set up for outdoor seating, the staff definitely came and helped out with it! read more

Wow! Went here tonight for their $12 ramen special. First off, I had put us on their wait list. Arrived a few minutes early. Hostess asked if we didn't mind a bar window. We accepted. 50 minutes of waiting at our seats! We did not complain once! No beer, no food. Waters came after patiently waiting almost 40 minutes. Original beer order, told out of it so I chose another one. Mind you, this is 35 minutes after waiting with not even any waters. Only 2 of us. I got so upset that we left. No apologies from our waiter. Other people that got seated after us, got their foods and drinks. Will never go to this location again. Their Roswell location is . My first time going to a ramen restaurant. The jury is still out on ramen in a restaurant setting. Maybe it's flashbacks from eating instant ramen in college.
