My all time favorite ramen restaurant. I've eaten Jinya in Georgia and Texas, it is always good ramen no matter the location. The servers are always attentive and fast service. This chain has a few locations around the Atlanta area. I've been to pretty much all of them. They are really consistent as far as food quality is concerned. They have a consistent vibe as well. This was my second time in a week to this location. The ramen is delicious I've had the veggie harvest Las time but today had the umami miso ramen. It was delicious. The noodles are hand made and really perfectly cooked. The veggies and broth was awesome. So flavorful. We also had several apps the the rice balls with the salmon was unique, beautiful and packs a punch of flavor in your mouth. The crunchy rice with spicy tuna was the bomb! Probably the most delicious thing I've eaten in a while. The firecracker shrimp was just so so and I wouldn't order it again. I used to own a restaurant and my consultant told me if everything you serve is not memorable don't serve it. I have to give it 4/5 stars because there were a few apps that were not memorable. Food, service and the low light setting was perfect for a relaxing date night. The house salad is my favorite and the jinya bun was warm and delicious perfect for a small appetite. Been to this location twice now and both times I had a great experience. A server named Nicolas took care of me both times and he was very attentive and friendly. Ordered the Tonkotsu Red Level 6 and Level 10 and honestly they didn't taste much different spice-wise. I'd recommend just sticking with the level 6 and not have the extra dollar upcharge. read more

I've been to Jinya three times in the past year and the food has consistently been amazing! I had the vegan Impossible ramen once and the spicy chicken ramen twice. I've also had their Impossible gyoza, fried chicken, and tempura Brussels sprouts- all of which were delicious! I love the 3 sauces they provide on the side to customize your ramen flavor- I typically use the sweet and spicy one. The restaurant is clean and trendy looking; the staff are pleasant. I've been to other ramen locations and I wouldn't say this was any worse or better. I did enjoy my black pork jinya ramen. The runny boiled egg was cooked to perfection, and the broth was very filling. (Heads up this a sit down eat in review) The Delivery: Working late one day me and a group of co-workers decided to grab some food at a local ramen bar in Duluth. Seeing as some places were closed due to running out of food earlier in the day, we decided to give Jinya Ramen Bar a shot. Thankfully around 8pm the place wasn't very packed nor was it ready to close anytime soon. Walking in we were immediately greeted by a server and escorted to our table in which were led to the back of the restaurant which contained booths and a few separate tables. After being seated a server approached us and asked for our drinks as well as our order. They were wearing a mask the entire time which is always a bonus at any restaurant, and they were super polite too. The place wasn't packed or too noisy, a very chill vibe and honestly perfect for a date because the tables are separate enough to have a private convo. The Food: For context I ordered the Shrimp Wonton Ramen w/ Seasoned Egg as a topping. The food was delivered in a stone bowl which was very aesthetically appealing. The chop sticks were disposable and wood which is just fine due to at the time events (covid and all). The ramen I ordered looked exactly what was portrayed on the menu which is once again always a plus. The Taste: (Shrimp Wonton Ramen) Ima jump straight to the point about this ramen, it tasted like pack ramen you would get from a gas station for about .99 Cents. Over salted and bland is the best descriptor for this bowl of ramen. Trust me as a college student when I say I know what overpriced noodles taste like.... I know. Besides the noodles, and the highly salted broth which ended up giving me a headache as I lost my appetite to eat it, the wonton on the other hand was pretty good. So good honestly, I wanted to ask for more wontons but sadly, losing my appetite from all the salt really put a damper on the meal. Mind you I don't have any issues with high blood pressure or salt intake issues that I know of. The Conclusion: The place was decent, but def over-hyped. Being in the Duluth area there are plenty of other ramen bars to experience with better tasting ramen. As for everything else, ide say it was spot on. That being the service, time for food to get to our table, aesthetics and the waiters/waitresses wearing masks just in case so they don't inconvenience the customers. Covid Safe? Def approved, waiters wore masks, and tables were decently spaced apart. 10/10 on that front. Finally had the perfect opportunity to try JINYA tonight and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. My husband and I got the Premium Tonkotsu Red Ramen and my daughter got the Jinya Tonkotsu Black Ramen, along with a few appetizers. The red ramen has a spice level option from 0-10. 1-2 was medium spice level, spicy started at 3. There's a surcharge of $1 for levels 6-10. My husband and I got level 2 and the spice was just right. It was spicy but it was tolerable and wasn't overwhelming. The broth was really good and so rich. The slices of pork were extremely tender. Possibly some of the most tender pieces I've ever had at any ramen restaurant. The service was outstanding. The seating restrictions aren't strict here. My daughter, my husband, and I sat at the bar top window seats along with other patrons to our left and right but even though there were no dividers between us and the other parties, we weren't rubbing elbows. The restaurant itself isn't very big and they do get pretty busy so you may have to wait 10-15 minutes for a table on busier nights. We only waited for about 5 minutes so definitely a huge plus for the quick seating because everyone that walked in after our party had about a 30 minute wait. Overall satisfied with our visit Jinya is definitely a great addition the area. I highly recommend you giving them a try if you're ever in the area. We definitely enjoyed it! read more

I had to pay before I got there and when I picked up my order I was given small portions of everything but I think what stunned me the most was the amount of broth I got. Disclaimer: My review is coming from someone who loves pho-like flavors vs ramen This was my second time trying "crafted" ramen and I can confirm I am not a ramen type person. I actually would prefer to eat packaged ramen. I want to say it's due to an immature pallet but I honestly cook a lot of international dishes and love them and am always willing to get out of my comfort zone. I wish I could have liked this place but I really didn't. I could not get past the poultry like smell of my dish. I got the chicken ramen. I added some of the side condiments like seasoning sauce and hot sauce paste from the jar and it did help mask the poultry smell a lot more but it just wasn't "giving". I also noticed appetizer dishes other tables got, the smell was kind of interesting and different than what I'm used to. Panna cotta was delicious! A custard/creamy type dessert with ice cream 5/5! Customer service is very nice 5/5 alone! All in all, due to the high ratings on Yelp and verbally about Jinya I'm sure it's worth the hype but I'm just not a ramen type person outside of the house. read more

Bummer! I was so excited to go to Jinya again after about a year! I've really enjoyed the Alpharetta location the last few times. When I found out that there was a Duluth Location, I thought I would give it a try. The staff was friendly and the pot stickers were very yummy. Unfortunately the chicken in my soup was very hard. I even let it sit in the soup a while thinking it would help tenderize it, but that didn't work. The waitress came by, I told her that it was hard. She said she could get me another piece, but by that time I was nearly done with the soup. The noodles and broth were good, but the chicken was not good at all. Sometimes you get so psyched up for a place and it's a letdown. That's what happened to me here. I need to try the Alpharetta location again soon :). read more

Purely food based review: Spicy Tonkatsu - Size, broth, cha siu we're all good, however my noodles at the end had a very hard, clumpy piece, and when I bit into it, it tasted very raw... Fried Brussel Sprouts - Best thing we had, really good appetizer Yuzu Ramen - Good if you like the sour, citrus flavor Tokyo Curry - Smaller portion than expected, decent, but you can skip this one if you make Japanese curry at home. Definitely one of my worst take out experiences ever! I called for a pick up order. Apparently, the place's phone system is terrible. The person kept saying he can't hear me because "it's loud" in the restaurant. I kept having to repeat my name, only for him to ask me to speak louder and repeat about 5 more times. I was practically shouting into the phone! After about 2 minutes, I was finally able to place my simple order: 2 noodle soups, 2 toppings, one extra noodle. I was told it would take 15-20 minutes, which was great. The order ended up taking about 40 minutes from the time I hung up the phone to the time it was finally ready. When I got home, I realized that the 2 toppings were missing. I called the restaurant again to let them know. Much to my dismay, the same guy answered the phone. I had to tell him a total of 4 times what my order number was and what was missing. I told him I was on my way back to pick up the missing items. He said the manager is aware of the issue, and he was going to ask the kitchen to prepare the items right away. When I arrived 15 minutes later, the toppings were of course not ready. I waited another 15 minutes for 1 broccolini and 1 brussel sprouts! This is just beyond ridiculous. I think I need to give this place at least a month or two to get their act together before coming back. read more

I have eaten at this location before and was satisfied. Recently I took a new patron and the food was subpar. There was a lunch rush but we were seated following the hostess cleaning our table. The table was wet...as most know those wet washcloths are generally not super clean. There were still crumbs and remnants of the previous guests food on the table. Under the table next to us had food and utensils with newly seated patrons. I always order the off the menu cha cha cha and when it arrived the broth wasn't quite what it usually is. The garlic was presented to me on the side and the seaweed was like rubber. They were out of all things salmon and ginger ale. Imagine ordering all of your favorites from this place and they just say they are out. This was a weekday by the way so not sure why things weren't replenished in time for normal weekly flow. It's possible they were having a bad day or this could be management issues but I will stick to my original Sandy Springs Location that's always on point with service cleanliness and food quality and supplies. read more

Compared with the other Atlanta locations, this is my favorite. It was an overall better experience, flavor-wise and staff. I had the classic tonkatsu ramen. Good flavor, perfect soft boiled egg. Ok so I've been commuting to Jinya in Buckhead and Sandy Springs for a while now. I don't mind because I like those areas, and their food is unmatched but my old apartment was in the area. Needless to say I was excited to hear that this location was in the making Unfortunately, I missed grand opening but I managed to make it in on their day two. I had an opportunity to met the owner. He was humble, actually helping his team (not just delegating) and super kind to me.His staff was quick and efficient, the food was delicious, the seating area was trendy and the location was perfect!
