We've been returning customers 3 times from how amazing this restaurant is. Me and my girlfriend have had the Tan Tan Ramen, Spicy/Tonkatsu Ramen, Brussel Sprouts, Gyoza, and the Pork Buns. They were all amazing apart from the Gyoza, which somewhat flavorless. However, which how consistent their food is and how kind and attentive the servers are, I believe they deserve a 5 star.
When you walk in you know that you are in for an authentic treat. The place is on the small side but that makes it homey. The hostess/waitress was great. Her smile added to my experience. The ramen was top tier and I will be back again and again. Just my opinion but add an extra seasoned egg. Yummy.
I was so happy to find out about Okiboru tsukemen. Although the price was little expensive, but the dish worthed it IMO! The noodles were chewy, the dipping broth was delicious(a bit salty to taste but it meant to balance out the bland noodle). The service was fast and can be a place for large gatherings. Will definitely come back for more!
This is the best ramen places in Atlanta. All the ramens have been solid. I even like the sides And appetizers also. The wife got a dipping ramen. In retrospect, it was very cold outside and I think dipping ramen would be better suited for summer. The wife also felt like it was too much work and she's a lazy eater. If you dump the soup into your ramen and you added some water to it, it would taste very similar to the tonkatsu ramen. I got the tantan ramen which was amazing. The broth was very flavorful and delicious. It was rich without being too salty. I strongly believe Okiburu has over Jinya as the best ramen in ATL. Fight me. The nori garlic fries were extra crispy also. Would I come here again? Yes. It's a bit of a drive for me but it's worth it.
Very yummy ramen! We enjoyed our drinks and our food so much by the time we were done we were stuffed! Definitely stop in! Our server was great as well and gave us good recommendations

Loved the spicy chicken paitan ramen! Since I am visiting from California, the food exceeded my expectations. The server said it was the top #2 (tonkotsu being #1). I loved the spice level (medium) on a creamy base (tonkotsu-like). Noodles were thin and perfectly cooked, and chicken was thin and lean, with a lovely, light and crispy breading-- not your typical chicken karaage. My bf got the tonkotsu which he liked and felt was standard. My only criticism is that the Tan Tan ramen (that my friend) came with a small meat portion (minced pork). This spot is spacious and casual; good for small to medium groups. Prices were as expected in the $14-15 range when dining in, with medium portions (on the smallet side, but good enough for me). Service was attentive, with frequent water refills. Was recommended this spot by a friend who lives in a nearby town, and it did not disappoint! Would seek this spot out if in the area.
I had high hopes for Okiboru. The decor is fun, a bit quirky. There is a great drink menu. I thought the traditional tsukemen (dipping ramen) would be the way to go here. I think the surroundings were more fun than the meal itself. I went with the Paitan Tsukemen with Pork Chashu. The noodles were thick, chewy, and made to soak up that ultra-rich, creamy paitan broth. I was underwhelmed with the noodles and the broth. It was just meh. The pork chashu was okay. I found myself pining for a visit to Mononoki in Atlanta for their version of Tsukemen instead. Probably not a bad idea come to think of it...
I'll start off by saying that I prefer the Sandy Springs location to Duluth. Duluth may be bigger and have more parking availability, but it also has sticky floors and a not great bathroom. The quality and flavor at both locations are on par with each other as is the service. Now, I know this place is known for their ramen, but I love fries, and the garlic nori fries here are delish! Fried well and paired with a yummy garlic aioli. I always end up ordering it to start. It's nice to share and chat with friends over while waiting for the main dish: ramen. Their broths are flavorful, eggs are perfectly jammy, a good amount of protein... it was good, just not amazing. The rice bowls are filling, though the pork umami one is much oilier than expected. In general though, Okiboru is not my personal pick if I wanted ramen.
I ordered the spicy tonkotsu and was kind of disappointed with it. I wish it came with more toppings to really help it all come together. I was most disappointed in the broth. It didn't have that rich creamy meaty flavor. The spice was also extremely light. I also had the braised rib which was heavy soy sauce flavor forward. I wasn't a fan of it. It was fall off the bone. Service was good. They were fast and personable. Definitely added to the fun casual feel of the place. There are a bunch of drawings all over the walls and I'm just in awe of how talented people are. It's fun to look at while waiting for your food.

It feels like extended family when coming here though we do come literally OFTEN lmao . Like they say "see you in a month or sooner!" Lmao!! They are too cool. I love it there! I think at first it was like you come back this often?? And I mean it feels like a community and also home. The food here is so much better than the other location at Mall of Georgia. So much love is in the dishes. I got a spicy tori paitan and my partner got regular tori paitan (his normal). We normally get Nori fries but we were so full from the movies but they are so good!! Service is great and the ambiance is homey. I'm glad that we found this place. I enjoy the food and the people who keep it running!
The ramen is top notch and flavorful! The service is exceptional, the staff is thoughtful, supportive and knowledgeable. The restaurant has a dive bar vibe, totally different from its other two locations. Great for groups and hanging out with family. I got spicy Yassai ramen and was not disappointed, my only nudge to the overall brand would be the quantity of broth in the ramen has reduced overtime. Can we please charge and extra dollar and preserve the original amount? But kudos to all the chefs for consistency in taste. Highly recommend to anyone in the area and craving some ramen!
Outstanding ramen, incredible fresh noodles, and excellent service from Aaliyah Okiboru Ramen Takumen in Duluth was absolutely worth the visit, and honestly, I'm just mad at myself for not trying it sooner. I started with the Okiboru buns (chicken and pork) the crispy gyoza, and the garlic nori fries. All three were a great start to the meal. The buns were soft and fluffy, and the pork bun worked really well with the garlic aioli, soy glaze, and pickled cucumber. The chicken one was good too but the pork one beats it on flavor. The gyoza had a nice crisp to them and came with a shoyu dipping sauce that tied everything together well. The garlic nori fries were also really good, crispy and well seasoned, and a fun side to snack on between everything else along with the garlic sauce to dip your fries in. For my main dish, I ordered the tonkotsu ramen, which comes with rich pork broth, pork chashu, half a soft boiled egg, scallions, and thin Hakata noodles. I also added the thick noodle refill on the side, and I'm glad I did because both noodles were excellent in different ways. The biggest standout here was the noodle quality. You can tell immediately that these are fresh noodles because the texture is just on another level. The thin noodles were fantastic and worked perfectly with the tonkotsu broth, but the thick noodles were incredible too. It's one of those meals where after the first bite you immediately understand why people talk about fresh noodles the way they do. The broth itself was rich, flavorful, and comforting without feeling overly heavy, and the pork in the ramen was very good too. Service was also a big part of why this visit stood out. Aaliyah was incredibly kind and welcoming, and she did a great job making the whole experience feel comfortable from the start. Good food is one thing, but good service is a huge part of what makes people want to come back, and she absolutely deserves a shoutout. The restaurant itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable. I was dining solo, so I sat at a smaller table, but they also have booths and larger middle tables that look like they'd work well for bigger groups. Food came out pretty quickly, and parking was easy since it's in a shopping center. And of course, everything got washed down with a Coke Zero. Not fountain, just canned, but it still hit the spot. This was an excellent meal from start to finish. Great appetizers, outstanding ramen, truly impressive noodles, and service that made the whole visit even better. I'll definitely be back. read more
After a long hiatus from Okiboru, my boyfriend and I decided to stop by for ramen for lunch. We started with the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer--my favorite item on the menu--and they were just as great as I remembered. Definitely did not disappoint! For my entree, I ordered the tonkotsu ramen. Unfortunately, it was a bit lackluster. I'm not sure I'd return specifically for the ramen. My boyfriend ordered the truffle shoyu ramen and also found it to be underwhelming. The ambiance has also changed since my last visit. They've replaced the middle bar area with more tables and painted over the previously drawn-on walls. The space feels noticeably darker now and lacks some of the character it once had. That said, the service was great. Our server, JJ, was attentive, friendly and took good care of us. read more

The ramen was good ! Definitely would've liked more toppings however. The service was also very good, always coming to the table and checking on us but not interrupting our conversations. The place was very nice and organized. Open restaurant with a nice customer touch to it. Overall do recommend for a nice sit down and lunch date. read more
I ordered the Paitan Tsukemen, and my friend ordered the Spicy Tonkatsu. I felt that the tsukemen was just OK compared to other tsukemen I've had. My friend liked the Spicy Tonkatsu. The servers were very nice & attentive, and the place was not too busy at around 6pm. I definitely wouldn't call this a traditional Japanese ramen place, but the food wasn't terrible. read more
I revisited this place...this time, to try their Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen. Well, the ramen was good...spicy, but not overly so. It was also unusual in that they used a much thinner noodle. Not sure if it was the best ramen I've had, but it was solid. I also tried their Gyoza...and although crudely made (not shapely at all!), they tasted quite good. Very crispy! Service was quick and fairly attentive as well. Just like last time, I was perplexed with their decor...an odd mix of prettiness and grittiness. Pretty with their floral decor...then these gritty graffiti-comic style wall "art" throughout. I just don't get it. Overall, a very interesting ramen bar. read more

I ordered pork buns, ebi karaage(shrimp), shoya pork ramen, and umami rice bowl. All very tasty and flavorful. The pickles is a great balance especially to fried appetizers. Cute little spot in Duluth with ample parking since it's located in a shopping center. Unfortunately, stting is limited and not good for large groups but the staff is nice. This is a mainly ramen spot but they do have other dishes that are good. The ramen itself is delicious but regrettably, there are few options for topping and their spicy is not very spicy. I was pleasantly surprised by their Brussel sprouts appetizer and all the other ones were good too. read more

There's nothing subtle about this broth. It's a star, it runs the show and it's what I've been thinking about constantly since my visit to the Buckhead location. I said aloud, "I want something exceptional today". While out with the Middle and the Little, we headed to get ramen. I took the Middle for her birthday and we all enjoyed ourselves. I decided to visit the Duluth location and I'm glad I did. The service was vastly different. This location was larger and had drawing everywhere. We received our food fast here, whereas in Buckhead it took almost an hour. In contrast, the Buckhead location gives you way more soup than this location. I measured this by our to go containers. They give a small one and in Buckhead it was a tower. Even with those differences, the flavors were parallel and we left satisfied. read more
Location is good, plenty of parking as it is a shopping center. The location stays a little slow compared to Sandy Springs one but regardless the service is great! Plenty of space inside for any size party! A place that does Ramen right! Their spicy is actually spicy. Their vegan option are actually tasty and I love the broth. I highly recommend! read more

My friend recommended Okiboru and it was a blast! I was excited since they received the Michelin Bib in California, so I was expecting a good experience. Our waiter was very nice and attentive, he answered all of our questions and joked around with us! After we ordered, they kept reminding us about the kitchen closing - I appreciated that they checked in with us. We got the garlic fries to share and I got the truffle ramen with thick noodles. I thought the garlic fries were great, especially the aioli that it came with. The truffle ramen was also awesome! I thought it was the perfect broth, not too heavy and not too light. The truffle was strong but not overpowering, and the thick noodles were a great choice! Would definitely come back :) read more

Don't get catfished by the pictures on google. The Duluth location uses the mall of Georgia pictures. I was expecting to see the pretty environment. When I showed up I thought I was in the wrong place... Nonetheless, pretty cool Ramen place. I got the spicy chicken ramen, pork ribs, and fries. The bathrooms are a little sketchy I wouldn't let my shorty go by herself. They're probably under construction. The price was decent for what I got. The staff were attentive and friendly no complaints there. Pretty good chance I return. read more

Service was very quick which was great! I was seated right away. I've tried the Sandy's Springs location so decided to try the Duluth location today. The food was very good. The spicy tonkatsu ramen was really good, but, I felt the okiboru braised ribs were a bit salty. Overall the ambiance was dope! The experience was good overall. I've been meaning to try this place and they did not disappoint. Food we ordered was delicious and staff was fast. Tip: I'm not sure how it is all the time in Duluth area. I'm used to tip being automatically added for parties bigger than six. However, I ordered for three of us and the tip was already included. Typically I tip more than what's recommended but when establishments do that, I just stick to the minimum. They also have some cool T-shirt merch for sale! read more
There are many ramen places near me and I finally tried Okiboru. The decor is pretty in the middle and graffiti in the sides. Quite a juxtaposition. I was seated quickly in the small dining area. The staff was attentive and helpful throughout. I ordered the garlic nori fries as a starter which was so delicious! Then I got the Tori Paitan which was a delicious rich chicken broth with karage and thin noodles. A nice warm evening on a cold night. I will be back. read more

This is Michelin rated? Yelpers need a hostile take over of Michelin bc I've had better ramen than this. It isnt bad ramen of course, it was nothing impressive. First we ordered 2 appetizers - the truffle garlic edamame and the Brussel sprouts. Edamame - 3 stars bc i couldn't taste the garlic much less the truffle oil. Tasted like a rip off. If there's truffle oil in there it must be diluted with mostly vegetable oil. Brussel sprouts- 5 stars bc the sauce was so good and the pickled onions were the perfect accompaniment. Next came our entrees. I ordered the tofu ramen and my husband ordered the chicken and rice dish. Tofu Ramen - 4 stars bc the noodles were the highlight and the broth though good was not exceptional much less Michelin level good. I couldn't rate how authentic it is but I know I've had better in GA, NY & even FL ffs. Chicken & rice bowl - 3 stars per my Yelp Elite husband. We knew they didn't have gluten free noodles so he went with this option and it was painfully average to him (from NY). So just manage your expectations here. Yay for vegans ans vegetarians bc we all get to try it and kudos to Okiboru for its veg*n friendly options. Service was very prompt and friendly. We came in on Saturday but at an off hour of 400 and there was no wait. By the time 500 rolled around the place was almost full but no wait yet. read more
Hands down 5 stars! Best vegetarian ramen, best Brussel sprout side dish with plenty, best quality of filtered drinking water which they also use for their soups and cooking! Moreover outstanding service! I am visiting this are outside of Atlanta. GA but I made sure that I came back 2 days in a row and will return again! read more
