Lunch special Penang curry and egg roll
    Daniel H.

The eighth and newest location of the 26 Thai empire in the Atlanta area, this one is located inside the new Politan Row food hall at the Forum in Peachtree Corners. The food hall has plenty of other options and is a fairly loud place, so be warned! For a semi-busy only Saturday afternoon at the food hall, the place was fairly busy with orders and we got our food with good timing. Staff were friendly and helpful. You can order either at the counter or at an iPad by the front, and you can get a text when the food is ready. We ordered a lunch special, a smaller serving Penang curry with crispy tofu ($15) with the optional addition of 2 egg rolls (+$5). Was a decent serving for two people, and the curry was exceptionally flavourful and spicy. Egg rolls were nice and fresh but maybe a bit too much leaf inside for our taste. The menu is a bit smaller than the other locations but has the staples, noodle dishes, rice dishes, curry dishes, and a good selection of starters. Some of the choices are different than the Perimeter location. Food is slightly on the pricier end unfortunately but the food hall is quite new and shiny at this time which is expected, expect in the range of $15-25 for a main course and around $12 for appetisers.

    Masaman curry

Always a fan of 26 Thai and was happy to see one at Politan Row in peachtree corners. I will say there was a bit of a long wait to get our food but it was expected with the amount of people ordering from this place. The three dishes we got were more than enough for four people and had to go buy more rice so we could finish the curries. The panang curry had a bit of heat and had asked for medium spicy but balanced well with coconut milk. There was also good amount of chicken in the meal as well. The masaman curry was also pretty tasty and the rice was absolutely delicious as well. It is a bit on the pricier end but totally worth it for the taste and quantity of food you get for each meal.

    Lackluster tomato in coconut soup

Hmm..I am really puzzled at the photos I see here on Yelp for 26 Thai Kitchen at Politan Row Peachtree Corners, Either they cleaned up their act or they are bringing you a facade. I went here for the first time and my husband and I ordered the garlic Chicken, spring rolls and coconut soup. I was appalled, The food looked nothing like the pictures on the menu. The soup was served in a plastic container with lackluster produce and I could have made a better garlic chicken at home that actually had the toppings pictured. The prices were outrageous for what we received and we weren't even waited on. The ambiance was of a higher end food court with a bar. Bottom line I recommend trying a different restaurant in Politan Row.

I was greeted warmly and given a choice of Bar sitting or Table! As I was meeting others, I started by sitting at the bar. The bartender was beautiful and welcoming with a smile that drew me in. I ordered the Yuzu Aviation cocktail; a mix of Roku Gin, Yuku, maraschino, and violets liquor. Delightful! For starters I decided to have the house salad with ginger dressing! My main meal was one of the signature rolls, Sake Oyako box Sashimi- furikake salmonikura, chives, yuzu oil. I decided against the Mayo miso. I also had the Tekka Maki which reminded me of our time in Seattle and the Sushi Cafe in Renton Highlands. Great place! Highly recommended

We came on a Thursday night. It was not crowded, there was maybe one other table occupied. We had reservations for 7 people. We sat across from the bar. While we waited for everyone to show up, we were at the bar, which is really nice because it's inside and outside. It looks like the bar may be able to serve guests that are in the green lawn area too. I ordered a lychee martini. I liked it, it wasn't too sweet. The drinks are on the expensive side. My friends weren't super impressed with the taste of the specialty cocktails or prices. We ordered a lot of rolls for dinner and shared. I enjoyed them. They were fresh.

I was really looking forward to trying the oysters, but I didn't realize their menu changes often so unfortunately, no oysters this time. A little sad about that! We decided to order pretty much everything off the à la carte menu. Overall, the food was just okay to me. The Brussels sprouts were the hardest to eat they were basically raw, just thinly sliced with sauce poured over. It would've been much better if they were at least steamed or grilled a bit. The mushrooms, though, were absolutely BOMB! If I didn't know what it was, I would've thought it was some sort of meat dish super soft, flavorful, and delicious. Definitely the highlight of the meal. The Wagyu, on the other hand, was a big disappointment. For the price, it was tough and chewy when it should've been buttery and melt-in-your-mouth tender. Overall, the place is cute and the vibes are nice, but the food was overpriced for what it was. I'd only come back for those mushrooms they were that good.

I placed an order for everything on the carte menu. Food was fun and a few of the dishes caught me off guard, in a good way. Pros. We loveeed the maitake mushrooms. This dish was one dish my friend and I had low expectations for. Ironically it's the only dish we would go back for! The bucatini I also had low expectations for. I hardly order pasta, from non pasta specialty places, because the pasta is 99% of the time going to be overcooked. BUT this bucatini was cooked perfectly al dente. The sauce was rich but not too heavy and just enough to cover the noodles without drowning. The crab taste was pretty faint. If it weren't listed on the menu I wouldn't even think it were in the dish. Cons. The brussel sprout salad was honestly almost inedible. It is a raw shaved brussel sprout salad, dressed as a Caesar salad. Although not bad tasting, the core of the sprouts was not tender but dry and hard. There was also a lot of it. Most disappointing was the "waygu ribeye". The quality was pretty horrible. The piece we got had silver skin as well as chunks of fat. I wish I got a picture of the leftover fat from the steak but if you look at my picture you can clearly see slices of just fat. I love a little fat on a well cooked ribeye and do not mind paying for it. But paying $50 for a probably 8oz "waygu" ribeye with only half of it palatable is wild. Regardless, I'm actually going back in a couple of days with my husband because of those amazing mushrooms.. though as I am writing this review I'm debating on canceling my reservation, ordering the mushrooms to go, and just going elsewhere. lol
