    Pork Tenderloin Katsu - incredible!
    Brad S.

First visit today since this transitioned from the previous ramen place. Super friendly server recommended the pork tenderloin katsu. Outrageously good - super crispy and tender, not greasy at all. Delicious dipping sauces including a fantastic sesame sauce. Very clean, comfortable and enthusiastic service. Highly recommended Japanese food option in Johns Creek area!

First of all, I loved the wide layout of the place, with high ceilings. Not only chic, but a comfy ambiance as well. Also, the service was really good...very attentive. I tried their Tonkatsu Platter...and also their Seaweed Salad on the side. I loved how it also came with miso soup. Sadly, however, I didn't love the taste of the Tonkatsu. For one, I felt it was undercooked...or it was just very soft...almost mushy?? I regretted getting the pork...Might have liked the chicken katsu better. Still, overall, I liked the restaurant enough for it to merit 4 stars.

Chicken Breast Katsu combo with miso soup and salad

I was surprised when I came here on a whim and saw it had changed from the ramen place I visited a while back! Once I wrapped my brain around the different menu, I decided in the chicken breast katsu combo with a little salad and miso soup. The chicken was crisp and juicy with the panko breading and rice and egg. Could have used more flavor so I added chili oil which was the right decision. The miso soup was fine and the salad was forgettable. The area as wide and spacious with booth and table seating. It is in a shopping center with plenty of parking. The service was swift and kind.

This was a really random on the whim selection and I can't say it was worthwhile. I ordered the tonkatsu combo $19 (includes rice, miso soup, and cabbage salad). The batter on the pork was light and crispy due to the panko. The pork itself was on the fattier side making for a pretty heavy dish. I did not care for the cabbage salad dressing nor the sauces the accompanied the dish. I tried a different sauce that came with the curry and felt it better complemented the meat. The meal wasn't bad but also nothing to write home about. It was so heavy and even with different combinations it all felt like the same bite/one note. Service was almost nonexistent. I had to ask for utensils and napkins twice. When orders came out, foods were not properly mentioned so huge mix up in food. No one came to check up on us after the food came. So no water refills or asking if we needed anything. Spacious restaurant with a casual atmosphere.

Premium Tonkatsu and Chicken Thigh Katsu Don

Very impressive! I've recently been disappointed by a few katsu places in the area, so I didn't have much expectations for this place. But this place was surprising. Ordered the premium tonkatsu combo and the chicken thigh don. Tonkatsu was more fatty and it did get a bit oily at the end as it cooled down, but first bite when it was hot was heavenly. Chicken thigh don was delicious! The rice especially was my favorite part but the chicken thigh was also so soft I forgot it was chicken as I was eating it. Service was great. All the waiters were so friendly and so quick! Space was pretty large but it filled up very quickly probably since it was Saturday night. We'll be visiting again as I think this is one of the best katsu places we've visited in the area.

4.5 but will round up. Came by for Saturday lunch and the place soon filled up by the time we left. Service was kind and food came out in a reasonable amount of time. We at first thought it was a bit pricey but the portions were huge so I think the price is fair. We each got pretty big salads to start that came with our meals. Ordered takoyaki for our appetizer. Liked that there were several pieces of octopus inside, some places are mostly batter. Husband ordered the katsu curry with an omelette and thought it was delicious. He said he would have liked more curry sauce though. He had leftover katsu but curry sauce was gone. I had the regular katsu set and loved how crispy yet light the katsu was. There were some fatty pieces on the edges but I enjoyed the meatier ones in the center. It also came with a miso soup, rice, and some pickles. Wished there was more katsu sauce on the side. Overall would definitely return the next time we are craving katsu!

We came here because we were in the area so stopped by for katsu takeout and chose the cheese katsu $12 for just katsu & chicken katsu $13 for just katsu & a side of cabbage $3 The cheese one only has 4 pieces so I wouldn't call this a whole meal which is probably why they press you to get a combo for $5 ish more but for takeout, I don't need rice It took about 15 minutes and the restaurant was not busy at all There was plenty of parking in the lot and everything smelled really good and came with sauces for dipping Overall, it was good and everything was fried nicely!

The meal closest to camera is shrimp katsu with daikon radish and mentaiko rice upcharges. Comes with cabbage and miso.

The Katsu chicken and shrimp were both really good. I typically don't like katsu style frying because it can feel greasy or heavy but this was incredibly light and airy. The service was average. Plenty of seating but nothing private. So just be ready to hear other's conversations. The only thing my partner and I did not like was the Takoyaki. Overall great food. Will definitely be back.

We came in with the expectation to eat Ramen, as this was previously a Ramen place. My niece chose this place and I was happy to let her know it was highly rated. We were surprised to find it is now a katsu place. The interior is welcoming and cool, with slick decor of gray and wood giving it a high end look. A warm welcome and immediate service followed. I went with the basic katsu combo, while my niece took the shrimp katsu. Delicious, delightful, and filling. I will recommend the combo; it comes with salad, soup and main meal including rice. I added an avocado appetizer and was licking my thumbs when I was done - OMG!!! Delectable. We got free Japanese pudding for reviews, but I would have given them a 5 star regardless. The 2 laddies that looked after us were quite attentive and warm. Soft smiles inviting feedback. They checked on us a total of 4 times, ensuring our every need/ want was attended to. Highly recommend.

Decent space for lunch. Not sure if it's a great place for dinner ambiance wise. The entrees were really good. Exactly what you'd expect. The prices on the appetizer was ridiculous tho. Certainly don't recommend that.

This is a new tonkatsu place that replaced rakken ramen. The first impression of this place was that it was clean and the server was really nice. We ordered the appetizer wings which had a teriyaki and black pepper sauce. This was just okay. Nothing special. I decided to order the premium tonkatsu because why not, and I also tried the chicken katsu. Guess which one was better? The chicken katsu. It was perfectly crispy and juicy on the inside. On the other hand, the premium tonkatsu wasn't that great. It had a strong porky smell to it, so I asked an older gentleman who seemed to be the owner or manager for some ginger to balance the taste of the strong pork smell - iykyk, but he said they didn't carry any. I didn't want to wait on another order of something else so I just ate it. I think kisoya still has better tonkatsu because of how porky this one was. Overall, I think this place was okay - if I ever came back it would be for the chicken katsu.

This is a new spot for katsu lovers! It's Japanese-owned and honestly the closest I've had to the katsu I tried in Japan. We tried a little bit of everything -- takoyaki, cucumber salad, avocado salad, wings, and a bunch of katsu dishes like curry, cheese katsu, fish katsu don, and shrimp katsu don. Their katsu was super crispy and very tender inside, and I like the curry sauce too. Everything came out hot and fresh, and service was really friendly. Solid new addition to the area, excited to come back and try more!

This place used to be a Ramen franchise, but the owners completely changed the restaurant into a Japanese Tonkatsu place instead. We actually been to both and enjoyed this concept and food a lot better. It was very clean and still looked very new. They have been open since February 2025. The service was superb! The staff waited on us right away and were very friendly and accommodating. The food was really good. We loved the complementary chili oil that they had at the table and Matcha salt, it was different and added a nice touch to the seasoning. The Tonkatsu was better than most places we've had. It stayed Crispy and the meat still remained moist and not dry. Didn't taste oily at all. It helps that they place the fried meat on a rack while serving to keep it crispy and not oily. I like how you can order your meal and it comes in a combo. Very fulfilling portion. You can add more rice for $.50 or extra side items to share. The ground pork was a little dry to me but when you add the garlic chili and made it taste a lot better. Miso soup was also very tasty, it had more substance than other Japanese restaurants. We enjoyed our visit, and would definitely come back!

Initially, entering the store was a bit off. The hostess didn't speak to me for about two minutes; she'd made the assumption I was with another party getting a pick up order. But after that was resolved, I was seated quickly. The store layout was nice; big booths with tall sides for privacy. I'm not sure if I liked how all their chopsticks were in a container you pulled from the table but overall a small detail. I did really like getting ice cold water and the metal carafe they provided kept the ice out of the drink. I went for their Aji Ramen and got the $10 3 handroll add on. My choices were unagi, toro, and spicy tuna. Shockingly they didn't have any spicy tuna do I chose a salmon instead. The hand rolls came out first and a pair of scissors were also provided if I wanted to cut them myself. Here are my thoughts: Toro - surprisingly bland. There wasn't the feeling of rich fatness that I expect with it though to be fair I am comparing this to a far higher end omakase experience. Needless to say, I wouldn't chose this again. Salmon - surprisingly good. This ended up being my favorite of the three. The salmon was nice and fresh and the soy sauce and wasabi made for tasty savor bites. Unagi - also good. I'm a sucker for eel. Because of the ponzu sauce, there's no need for soy sauce. I made a mistake of dipping a piece that I cut from the handroll and it was way too salty. Eaten as is, it was just what I expected Aji Ramen - a solid bowl of ramen. I was very pleased with the full egg and also the chashu pork. I don't know if I recall the bean sprouts but at $14, this was kind of a steal in terms of bang for buck. Plenty of food even by itself. All in all, I liked Aji-Katsu. I don't think I'd travel for it but if I was in the area and in the mood I would stop in again.
