Jerk Chicken, cabbage, rice and peas.
Marian D.

I had the most amazing plate of food! Jerk chicken was dark meat and cooked to perfection even without the sauce. Having the sauce on the side was new for me but I enjoyed it. Came with 2 sides - I had rice and peas and cabbage. Both were tasty and not at all soggy. Will definitely visit again!

Just got back from an unforgettable culinary journey at Irie Mon: Caribbean Café & Cocktails in Peachtree Corners, and let me tell you -- this place is a slice of Jamaica right here in Georgia! We started our meal with crispy, golden Mini Jamaican Patties and perfectly fried Tostonias (green plantains). Then came the main event -- and trust me, it was worth every bite: Whole Red Snapper (they have: savory Brown Stew style, Escovitch and tempting Coconut Curry) flaky and bursting with bold spices Rich, fall-off-the-bone Oxtail, slow-cooked to perfection Hearty Curry Goat with just the right kick of spice Smoky, tender Jerk Chicken Creamy, indulgent Shrimp Pasta loaded with flavor We wrapped things up with their iconic Rum Cake -- moist, rich, and just boozy enough to give it that signature Caribbean kick. And let's not forget their full bar -- tropical rum punches, expertly crafted cocktails, and refreshing sips perfect for the vibrant island vibes.

Food is delicious. Service is really good. The people here are so nice and the restaurant is very clean. Chef Debbie's food is magnificent. If you're in the area, please stop by. It'll be worth your while.

This amazing food is prepared with love every single day! I thoroughly enjoyed my oxtails, rice and peas, and cabbage medley. PEPD

"There's something magical about rooftops. You feel like you're in 'Mary Poppins."…read moreGeorge Clarke There really is something special about being on a rooftop on a perfect summer evening, and it's great to have it right in downtown Sugar Hill. I would like to say I planned the perfect date, but as some of the best things in life, this was just an impromptu visit to cap off an already great evening. Outside of being on the rooftop, the bar itself is upscale yet approachable, service was fast and friendly. Being a bit of a self engrandized home bartender I'm a bit critical when out of my home lab, but their Smoked Old Fashioned wasn't bad. ("Wasn't bad" really means very good.") While I don't love the prices and hate paying a cover charge, when you throw in live music, a great vibe, and a view, I can't really complain. The owner made an announcement that whoever tipped the band $10 would get a free drink, and since most drinks were over $15 I thought that was cool on many levels. Will definitely be back to The Rooftop!

We walked around and finally ran into a waitress who told us to sit anywhere we wished inside or outside. The only area festive was inside a closed igloo and no heaters were on outdoors which was just a tad too cool for me despite the super nice weather that day. It would have been so to sit outside but without the warmth of the heaters we headed inside. We placed our order and explained we were just there for a pre-dinner drink and wanted to check out the venue so we didn't leave our tab open but we were quickly served the fabulous taking drinks on their menu(s). The Old Fashioned was on the regular menu and the Russian was on their seasonal tabletop menu. Server was very nice and took photos for some ladies we met. The only reason I can't give them a 5 star is they claim they are big on hospitality but yet we were not acknowledged upon arrival. Many restaurants and even some retail stores have a way to ensure they say hello/welcome immediately when you enter and without a hostess - the mindset should be that the bar or wait staff have a way to immediately say hello or welcome so those who have never been feel welcomed as well as those who frequently come. It would be nice to have a more festive decor for the holidays but that didn't affect my review; just a statement to say that the entire Sugar Hill area was pumping and themed with the holiday spirit then we walked in the only area decorated was not even accessible nor was it offered as an option to enjoy.

Last week's lunch adventure found me at The Forum at Peachtree Corners and an absolutely lovely…read moreseafood lunch. Elevated dining (think linen tablecloths and chandeliers), I saw a lovely outdoor courtyard eating space but we ate lunch in their dining room. My friend and I split a number of their petite plates so we could try a lot of things! We got the croissant loaf with whipped fig butter (literally causing me to salivate thinking about it now), seafood dumplings , salt and pepper sea bass and crabcakes We decided to indulge with a couple delightful cocktails- I got the lychee G&T and my friend enjoyed the cucumber basil matinee. If you're in the area I would definitely recommend Pêche Modern Coastal!

Pour that on with the butter, now that's a good thought. They need something to make it stand out. I tried the shrimp and grits. First thing first, don't get this dish if you're really hungry. They bring it out in a really big bowl and it's just a little bit.. the chicken sausage is cut up whole like chopped hotdogs. It really looks lazy and unappealing. The flavor wasn't bad, not great, but not nasty. Nothing special at all. Now for the restaurant itself (decor), I liked it. I think it's a great setting for lunch indoors or outdoors. I'd try them again for dinner to see if it's better, but going back for brunch, not likely.

I've heard a lot about this place from my partner, and I finally got to try it!…read more The ambiance of the area is really nice. There is an open kitchen style towards the back of the restaurant, and at the center, there is a bar area. The restaurant is relatively dark, fair warning. There was a unique selection of appetizers and entrees. So I had a hard time choosing, but for appetizers we ended up getting Tuna Tower, Wagyu sliders, and the Goku roll. Naturally we were a bit dull after that, but I wanted to try an entree so I ordered the seafood gumbo and my partner ordered the lobster mac and cheese (he says he gets this here every time). All the appetizers we got were AMAZING. I don't have a single complaint about the taste, quality, or flavor. The display was also very neat and nice. I will say the lobster mac and cheese and the seafood gumbo were a bit too salty for my palate, but I can tell that the flavor was there. They were very generous with the seafood for every meal, so that was a plus. Overall, I would highly recommend this place and come again. There were so many other entrées and sushi rolls I wanted to try, so I will update this review as I do so!

This trip was actually our first time visiting without him so we were a little lost about what to do next. LOL. We had gone to a cafe earlier in the day but it was still too early for dinner so we kept searching for something interesting to do. That's when my husband found Distillery of Modern Art. I wasn't really in the mood for drinking during the day so I wasn't sure at first but I'm so glad we went! We had never heard of a combination of a distillery and an art gallery before which immediately caught our attention. It looked like the space is used for a variety of events as well. Since we visited during Mother's Day weekend, there was a flower arrangement workshop happening in one of the rooms when we arrived. The bar area was very spacious with plenty of seating and since it was our first visit, we decided to sit at the bar. The bartender was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain the different liquors they produce. My husband sampled their rye whiskey, gin, and Amaro Peach. I'm usually not much of a gin fan but theirs was exceptionally smooth and I actually enjoyed it. Amaro tends to be quite bitter but their Amaro Peach had a really nice balance of bitterness and sweetness. I ordered the Ocean Eyes cocktail which features their Amaro Peach and it was excellent. The bartender also made his own special version of a classic cocktail for my husband (I forgot the name!) and he really enjoyed it. What stood out most was how friendly and passionate the bartender was. You could tell he genuinely loves what he does and honestly, he made the experience even more enjoyable for us. We had such a great visit that my husband ended up bringing home bottles of their gin and Amaro Peach. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Atlanta!

The ube drink is excellent, not super sweet but you can taste the ube flavor and the end is a citrus note which is nice. The other 2 drinks we had were ordered off menu after we explained to the bartender some of taste preferences. The Singapore sling was excellent as well as the other one he made. You can tell that they really care about their craft and are wanting to experiment with different flavors! It was nice being able to sit at the bar and chat as well
