Nice little brewery that check all the blocks. This is a small brewery in a great location with a super friendly staff. The two beers I picked were ok and reasonably priced. On another note, if you have a few too many, you can have food delivered to this location. Overall, not a bad place and not a bad experience.

Great neighborhood brewery. Everyone is super friendly. They have quite the collection of beers with some nice sours along with a great WCIPA. That's right, Straight Outta is really flavorful and would be enjoyed by hop lovers and those just getting into IPAs. At 6% abv it's sessionable. It has an earthy and almost rye bread flavor with a nice hoppy finish. Maybe some Cryo or maybe Eukanot?? The Lime in Da Coconut is really interesting. Neither flavor is in the forefront. It's a smooth beer that would be great on a hot day. A Place to Imagine is an apple pie sour (contains lactose) that drinks amazingly. It has all the notes of your grandmother's pie. Peaches and Cream IPA...what? Super mild and just light peach notes. Tastes a bit like white peach. The aroma is quite nice with a little bit of fruit and a little bit of floral. They play with hops here so I'm not sure what the used. Maybe a bit of Saaz and a tiny bit of Willamette.

Thank for the warm welcome. We had such a great first time here. My husband and boys will be back soon. The atmosphere is very laid back and the gentleman behind the counter made sure Apollo and Loki got some treats and lots of pets. The seats were comfortable and added bonus were the purse hooks on every table. The restrooms were clean. The other patrons were happy and enjoying the game. We will be back with many others. Thank you Social Fox for making our first visit so memorable. Sincerely Andy, Andie, Apollo & Loki

You can find Social Fox Brewing at 20 Skin Alley, Norcross, GA 30071. This is an alley that runs parallel to S Peachtree Street (what I think of as "main street") in downtown Norcross - you access either from Jones St or Holcomb Bridge. There's a small parking lot across the street that's frequently full, but there's additional parking along S Peachtree and in a lot that's about a block away down the hill from the Iron Horse Tavern on Jones St. I've been visiting Social Fox Brewing pretty much since it opened - as you approach the entrance you'll see a large mural of a fox - apparently this mural was already there when the former 400 North was looking for a location - they liked the mural so much that they decided to change the name to Social Fox (at least that's the story I heard but there may be more to it, there's also a 450 North brewing up in Indiana and they may have wanted to change to prevent any confusion). The building appears to have been more of a light commercial warehouse or similar in its former life, so the interior is a bit industrial with concrete floors, cool slab wood high top tables and a taproom to the right, sharing the large space with the brewhouse on the left. Outside there's a small patio so you can drink with a little more ease and space, important with Covid still impacting everything. When Social Fox first opened I reserved my opinions on the beer, but the initial impression was that the beer was competently made but a bit more mainstream. Since then the selection and beer styles have expanded to include more fruited sours and variety - I'd say the beer here is worth sampling and if the locals are any indication, worth frequently - ultimately a craft brewer relies on and supports the tastes of those who live in close proximity - it's really the biggest determining factor for any but the largest and best funded breweries. I've tried the following: * Nocturnal Activities Stout 3.9/5 - Expected a thicker body, good roasty malts with lots of coffee and a hint of chocolate, finishing a bit thin and full. * Double Tumble 4.3/5 - Pretty tasty, pillowy mouthfeel with citrus and tropical notes in a juicy NEIPA body, dry hoppy, borderline grassy finish, a touch boozy as you would expect for 9.5% * Van Damme Strong Belgian Tripel 4.4/5 - Very tasty, probably the best beer I've had from this brewer, fruity Belgian banana nose, hearty body finishing with spicy coriander. * To Head a Fox Porter 3.5/5 - Rather boozy for the ABV, roasty notes of chocolate, coffee, bourbon and oak tannins, the acidity is a bit off-putting for me. * Trop Tail NEIPA 4/5 - Pretty tasty hybrid IPA, hazy tropical notes of pineapple and melon, hops throughout and a bit bitter. Piney dry finish. * Myth & Moor 4.25/5 - Quite good saison with Belgian yeast body and peppery banana notes. A touch dry otherwise about perfect for this style. * Light 'n Social American Pilsner 4/5 - Super easy drinking straw hued pils, buttery bready body and mouthfeel, effervescent with slight banana note * Gold Belt Golden Ale 4/5 - Creamy mouthfeel in the Golden, well balanced malt sweetness and low hop bitterness. Great food beer. Crisp finish. * Lime Da Coconut Fruited Berliner Weisse 4/5 - Lime notes in this tart Berliner, very slight rind bitterness, otherwise creamy coconut mouthfeel and nose brings this into the Pina Colada range. * In Between Times - Hibiscus Black Current Fruited Berliner Weisse 4/5 - Floral hibiscus nose layered into the black current tart, somewhat fluffy body, dry finish, has a slight coconut quality. * In Between Times - Raspberry Fruited Berliner Weisse 4/5 - Pretty tasty Berliner with tart raspberry notes, decent mouthfeel and a dry finish. Very easy drinking, you'll want a pint. Service has always been very good here - since you order at the bar you can get answers about personal taste preference and very good recommendations. I've spoken to one of the owners, Kevin Keyes, on a number of occasions, these are nice people and worth supporting.

Soft opening through June - pints to go

The awaited brewery in downtown Norcross had its soft-opening in April. With COVID-19 affecting everyone, they understandably only had a limited beer menu. This review reflects more how everything is being handled during the pandemic and less on the quality of the beer. I'm not a fan of IPA or sour beers and those were the only options at the time so I wouldn't fairly judge. Staff was wearing masks when we were there and still super helpful and friendly with all the questions. I look forward to see the variation of beer on tap/rotation and enjoy the taproom and outdoor seating.

Very chill place with a great selection of craft beer! We got two flights to try as many as we could. My personal favorites were the Bluesberry Sour, Irish Coffee Stout, and the Lime in the Coconut Sour. So refreshing!

The good: the vibes, staff is super friendly, they've got a DIY water tap, we really liked the decor, they've got a few TVs going, parking was easy, even on a Friday. Oh, and the first two beers we tried were EXCELLENT: the Gold Belt and the Myth and Moor. Both smelled and tasted great. The so-so: I appreciate that they're creative with their beer offerings, they just didn't appeal very much to me. I thought the stout and porter tasted a bit thin, and I'm not a huge fan of sours, so I didn't appreciate the berliner or the lime and the coconut. This is not a huge knock though, since there's something here for everyone, I just wish I would have liked more of the beers on tap. They don't have a kitchen, but it appears you can order from a neighboring restaurant and have them bring food in, which was neat. The verdict: I would recommend coming to check out Social Fox, because if you happen to like more of their beers, this would be a great spot for you to visit. There are also plenty of little restaurants and shops around so you can make a full evening out of it.

Staff goes above and beyond to accommodate. They're dog friendly inside and in the patio area. Samples are provided if you want to taste test before getting a larger size brew. Hand sanitizer located throughout the building. Free parking available right across the street.

Love that Downtown Norcross finally gets a brewery!! We've been waiting on this to open as covid pushed the grand opening until things were clear, which wasnt long ago. Location is great, tons of parking, so its easy to get in and out. I personally love the location as I live about 2 miles away. Now, our experience, it was pleasant. Staff was masked up, so were we, Proceeded to order two beers, and we just sat and chatted for a while. We noticed that the inside area was a tad small, so we got up and left as we're still on that social distancing kick (ughh 2020). Staff was friendly, and the beer was good. I can see us coming back soon, maybe we will try to seat outside and try that next, but hopefully it is not super cold by then! Check them out!

Great atmosphere in a quaint little metro Atlanta city. Really nice guy serving the beers. Games available. We did the flight and enjoyed all 4 of the beers. One of us preferred the Tumblefield IPA and the other the hibiscus black currant. Looks like a couple local restaurants deliver here too. Solid spot!

You can get a tasting or tasting pours if you want to try a few things. If you do, I recommend having at least two of their bourbons (Fiddler's Antique and Hunker), one rye (toasted for me), and one clear spirit (I prefer vodka; hubby, gin) if you can mix your liquor. Order at the beautiful back bar, then pick a seat, and they'll bring you your drink. I have a difficult time getting something other than an old-fashioned, but I also bought their espresso martini, and my hubby loves whatever mule they are making. Enjoy! If you prefer non-alcoholic, they will make you a mocktail. FYI- They have another store on the Westside Beltline.

The ambiance was airy and very chillaxing. I had one of the frozen non-alcoholic coffee slushies, which was the absolutely perfect small size, as I didn't get overwhelmed by brain freeze. I also tried the Drum cake, which supposedly is the customer favorite. Delish, and small enough to keep me guilt-free. I would have given 5 stars if they had greater selection of non-coffee drinks- come on guys... matcha is the rage now! Very comfy. I look forward to my next visit.

They even had games you could play at the table, which made it a cool spot to hang out. The burgers were honestly top tier. Definitely one of the best things on the menu, and I would absolutely recommend getting a burger here. The empanadas were also delicious, and the wings were bussin' too. The only thing I personally wouldn't recommend is the club sandwich, but overall the food was really solid. Great atmosphere, great service, and definitely a place I'd go back to.

They were all attentive, welcoming,…read moreand were very helpful in swiftly clearing out plates, passing out validation stickers, and refilling waters. My company had a whole spead of food, but my favorites were definitely the coconut curry and the blackened chicken. The curry had great flavor, a nice kick of heat to it, and was filled with tender vegetables. The blackened chicken was very tender and also had great flavor! Of everything I ate, the steak chimichurri skewers were one of my least favorites. The meat was not tender, and I found myself gnawing on the meat a bit. The alfredo was also alright. It was pretty plain in flavor, but adding the chicken helped a lot. I got the Eastern Promise (mocktail) and it was decent, just not a mocktail that really stood out in my opinion. It'd be better on a hot day, as it's more refreshing. There were a lot of bar games to play downstairs (darts, bocce ball, board games, etc.); and some other games were pay to play (skeeball, pinball). I didn't really play any of them, but it's nice that they offer it! Ormsby's validated our parking for up to 3 hours in the parking garage right next to the Flower Child.
